And continuing from the last post on the topic of stickers I made; for those merch interest checks I put out a bit back, a lot of you asked if I could resell the sticker designs I’ve made for previous collabs.

I wanted to say I don’t plan on selling them again on my own! I made those for collabs, and I feel like they should belong just with those collabs. ^^

But I have some other designs that work just fine as stickers that I didn’t make for collabs! I hope people will be ok with those!

#I just wouldn’t feel right taking something I gave to a collaborative project and then making more myself ^^;#but I do have plenty of stuff ready to use in its place!!

feeling it's a little early too throw around leaks if we don't even have a release date... or even know when the game is set.

fishy to me is only Emmet being mentioned and no mentions of possible ancestor/decentants... people'd be interested in them as well.

In regards to this leak for PLZA

I figured! We never get leaks this specific and abundant this early — we haven’t even gotten a proper informational trailer yet, which will probably come out this summer. And the final evo forms are almost always the last things we find out, we probably would not get this as much as this offered at this point.

And yeah!! I’m hoping when leaks do start eventually coming around it mentions a little about ancestors/descendants… I’m very interested to see if we get more, and who!!

Favorite thing about the leak though is the thought of another chimecho evolution and a gligar line regional variant. Probably too good to be true but I’d love those!

Thank you OP!! I’m glad you like how I draw him!! I think Ingo would appreciate being described as powerful, because he’s put through hell every day by Zisu and Gaeric to achieve that. Hey, what do you think of dad Ingo? Like the au's where Ingo adopt Akari as his daughter

Thanks for asking!! I think I’ve mentioned my thoughts on this before, but I don’t personally vibe with it. Ingo doesn’t strike me as a dad (watch lore come out at some point saying he was before he was pulled to Hisui LOL) and so I don’t personally see him falling into acting like one for Akari.

I will say that this is probably because I jumped right out of the self-destructing TLOU fandom into PLA when it came out. I was really into TLOU for Joel and Ellie’s relationship. Joel very much was a dad to Ellie. And so probably jumping right into PLA and taking that relationship I liked so much and applying it to Ingo and Akari for catharsis, some things changed. Because I did see Akari like Ellie (and I did write her more like Ellie initially, it’s more obvious in the first chapters of HFBE). But I did not see Ingo like Joel. Everything that made Joel a dad felt like it wasn’t in Ingo’s character at the time, so I did not see him as a dad, and I suppose first impressions stuck lol because I still don’t.

But I do like the thought of a connection between them which is why I like calling him a pseudo-uncle. Less involved than a dad, partly because I like to characterize Akari as pretty independent. I don’t think of her as ever looking for or needing a dad-figure in Hisui, so Ingo just never takes that position.

BUT I do like seeing other people’s renditions of Ingo being a dad!! They’re so cute!! AND I am also very appreciative of the people who say they make act Ingo like a very big brother to her too.

I was just looking again at your small comic with Phione Akari hiding under Ingo's hat and I also love how he has a bit more fluffy hair in your version.

Ever since the artbook was revealed everyone gives him no hair at all or balding hair. It's very refreshing to see that there is a bit less but there is less emphasis on this. After all you had a fic revolving around his hair and how Akari encouraged a bit of a makeover to him.

Other than that as I was looking I was wondering what kind of "thank you" Akari might have in store for him. While he wasn't the quickest to realize it's her and he had a hard time understanding her in other times the lengths he went to help her get back to normal are so enormous. He deserves a small thank you once everything is over. Even if he probably doesn't think much of it since he sees it as his duty to help as much as he can.

Thank you!! I do try to make it look a little more like hair, and a little less like sheet metal shrinkwrapped to his head lol. But I do still very much appreciate Ingo with his receding hairline!!

I’m kind of on the side where I headcanon he just doesn’t bother with it too much and it does grow out (also because short, shaved hair would make for a very cold head and neck in the highlands/icelands) It is not much of a concern to him until moments like important photos perhaps, like in the fic you mentioned!! Then he wants to get it cut and shaped up lol.

AND OH MAN once the whole thing is over and Akari gets her body back, Ingo wouldn’t be able to stop her from thanking him repeatedly. There would be nothing he could do to stop her from going out and dragging bags of coffee grounds and cans of creamer out of space-time distortions for the next month, a keurig included lol.

This is a good alternate universe, but honestly Dawn should be in Oshawott

I agree, I think she’d be a fantastic oshawott! But I based my choices off of a playthrough of PMD Sky, and sadly Sky neither has oshawott as a choice, and has a very small selection of female partners. So an Eevee was my most liked choice.

I do like that an eevee can represent uncertainty and huge potential though! You can be whatever you want and have so many choices, and I feel like the character I get when I mix Akari with the PMD partner’s personality could work very well with a theme like that!

I know this question is kinda random but do you have a special design in mind for Kana? honestly I'd be curious to see something from her or hear more about her as she and Akari don't get along with each other.

I know she probably just exist to be a pain in Akaris and Ingos side but some side lore would be fun. Nothing making her redeemable but just some random stuff about her.

Ooh!! I love this ask, it gives me a chance to talk about her!! ^^ thank you anon!!

In my head, I always imagined her like the Galaxy Team NPCs below, but in a survey corps uniform instead. If given the chance, I’d probably give her a unique hairstyle though.

As for some of her lore, I have her team here!! I have reasons for all of them. She has ended up leaning towards the Bug-Type, with them making up most of her team.

Just like Akari’s team, I have reasons for these!! I’ll use her team to show a bit about her.

Mime Jr.

The first pokemon she caught in the fieldlands, her partner who isn’t very good at actually fighting. Just like how Mime Jr. habitually mimics people, Kana is prone to mimicking others’ solutions rather than finding her own methods. She’s strong and a successful trainer, but only because she takes the paths that others have already paved themselves strength-wise, like Zisu initially, then Akari.

Heracross

A Pokémon she caught simultaneously with Vespiquen (who was a combee back then). Heracross are said to be strong, proud of their power, and show it off against opponents. They also try to knock aside their own kind to hoard valuable things they find, like nectar. Kana knows she’s strong, is apt to show it off, and tries to knock others aside for what she wants (such as trying to get Zisu’s position).

Vespiquen

Caught as a combee alongside Heracross while the two were distracted fighting over honey. Vespiquen are known to have their loyal combee fight for them so they don’t have to. While Kana isn’t exactly uncaring for her pokemon, she does look at them as tools of strength to use. The stronger her Pokémon, the stronger she is. Also representative of her dynamic with her friend Miki, another Galaxy Team member who tends to do what she says.

Whiscash (Alpha) (Akari has named her Whiskers)

Chronologically Kana’s newest member of her team. Caught as a barboach, Kana was impatient to train the powerful alpha up to become her new ace. It evolved too fast without proper training though and doesn’t listen to Kana, so she’s half given up on it. It currently controls her more than she controls it, just like Kana’s own motives and ambitions, but Kana will eventually be able to manage both later on (However, it has a soft spot for Akari, who visits it in the pasture frequently, and has less problems listening to her). Whiscash are known to be territorial over the lakes and ponds they reside in, and similarly, Kana is pretty defensive of her position in the Galaxy Team, as well as positions higher up that she isn’t even viable for yet.

Silcoon

Caught as a wurmple. Once it evolved, though, Kana saw it as useless battle-wise and does not use it. Its growth is stagnant right now, just like Kana’s own character and views towards pokemon as tools of power — it represents her pent-up stubbornness and unwillingness to change. But she eventually comes to realize that pokemon are more than that, will help Silcoon evolve, and just like her own character, it grows into something better, kinder, and more beautiful (Also I wanted to kind of be an opposite to Beauregard and his eventual Dustox’s relationship — I’ve also been considering making her his sister actually lol).

Kana’s team is largely Bug-Type because I like to attribute the concept of metamorphosis to her. It takes a lot of effort and time, but I imagine she will eventually grow out of her more selfish outlook and desire to be the best for all the wrong reasons — mostly because she realizes no matter what, she’s not getting anywhere, and has to wrestle with introspection. But it takes a LONG, LONG TIME and it is painful for everyone lol.

For now, she is still a pain to deal with lol.

It’s been pretty fun developing her and I’ve appreciated when people ask about her or request me to write more of her! She was just a one-off character to fill a role I needed in a fic, but I’ve had a lot of fun making her a recurring character!!

Apologies for the relative quietness on here! I’ve been pretty busy with work lately (lots of additional, very long shifts), and some pretty rough life stuff that’s been going on.

I’ve seen all the asks you all have sent, and I kept telling myself I’d answer them when I’d get a free moment. Well, either I’d forget by the time I’d get one, or something would pop up last minute that needs my attention ^^;
