Happy 1,022+ Followers for Box!!!
I'm very grateful to all of you who followed me despite me not being that great or experienced as a writer, and I truly appreciate everyone who's ever given me feedback and criticism to help me improve! From this point forward, I'll work even harder to get better and earn the space I take up in your timelines :))))
(tldr but under the keep reading is lots and lots of rambling and impt announcement lmao soery)
I'll be honest when I started writing four months ago I never thought I'd get anywhere near where I am now in terms of notes and followers. Back in November, all I was concerned about was promoting Yuri through this very weird very niche platform, which I think I was able to achieve just a little bit!
Since then though, I've gained so much too. The very nice people at The Bunker are great friends and amazing writers that I look up to and have helped me improve as a writer on more than a hundred occasions.
A very on-brand Box saying would be that this was such a weird little learning experience I'll never forget. This was so fun and I'd love to go through all of it again!
Now you might be thinking "Shit. Is Box retiring?" Well no lol I'm not done and have a bunch more fics in various stages of writing that will see the light of day eventually! Downside is even I don't know when those'll be so idk stick around I guess lol or not that's up to you
All this said though, I think now is a terrible time for a hiatus but it is what it is. Things are going turbulent IRL once more and I'm thinking that I need to sort them out again. I don't know when I'll be back but rest assured that only very very little will be able to keep me away :D
Until then, please continue to keep Yuri in your hearts and minds! Squid Game 2 will be out later in 2024, she will continue to make OSTs, and of course we're all waiting for her next comeback! There's much to look forward to and I'm hoping all you honorary Glassys will tune in.

If there's one trope i have a hard time imagining oikawa tooru being in, its best friend to lovers 🤔🤔
LIKE??? I always imagine tooru being the type who would never think of his best friend as anything more once he established that they're his best friend???
He would sometimes (a lot of times actually-) jokingly flirt with you but even then those are strictly platonic. People would see the both of you and think, ah yes, oikawa being annoying, nothing new there.
But just because i said i have a hard time imagining it, doesn't mean i hate it nor i can't imagine it at all. Quite the opposite actually. I find tooru in this trope to be quite fascinating.
Hear me out here okay?
Oikawa Tooru, who has been friends with you for god knows how long. The one who has been by your side through your every ups and downs, comforting you when you're sad, sharing your happy moments together, cheering you up to get your minds off of things that upset you.
Oikawa Tooru, who will literally drive how many hours to your house as soon as he knew you had a shitty week or if you had a failed relationship. The one who will, without fail, blackmail the person who made you feel like that and destroy them inside out.

kate bush is a musical artist that was mainly active throughout the 80s. she was born in a small town in the middle of nowhere in the uk, in 1958. she's most well known now for her song "running up that hill", which was popularized by the show *stranger things*. while her music falls under the "pop" label, it's very eclectic , experimental, and incorporates lots of traditional celtic sounds.
in 1980 she released the album "the dreaming". the dreaming is my favorite of her albums im SOOOOO EVIL ABOUT IT 💥💥💥.... anyways she released that at 22 and on this album is a song called "the dreaming" where she talks about the genocide of aboriginal people.. and it's genuinely my favorite song of ever bro like actual it's so good. screaming throwing up. 🐈 sorry thsi is progressively getting more evil i was trying to have it make sense and now it doesn't anymore 😭😭😭 BUT WHATEVER... so yeah she wrote the dreaming and it has the MOSF INSANE SONGS EVER like they're all so good AUGHH my favorites are the dreaming, houdini, night of the swallow, & suspended in gaffa. :3 IF YOU LISTEN TO THOSE I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER...
Shes most popular now for "running up that hill", off of "the hounds of love", but all her other music is SOOOO much more interesting than that song. running up the hill is a wonderful song and it's written insanely well, but it by far is her least interesting song. (at least stranger things didn't pick a different song of hers tbh i think i would've imploded..) Kate also occasionally used her music as a way to speak about social/political issues, like in army dreamers and the dreaming. Fun fact, army dreamers was actually one of the 67 songs blacklisted during the gulf war!! 💥💥 i just think that's interesting tbh... i love kate bush so mych blu yiuwdont undefstand..... she was my grandpa's favorite and my mom's favorite and i... The final two proved to be difficult. Lust and sloth. Lucifer's wings were nearly black, one sin should do the trick. Yet, the angel never seemed to stop doing anything. He would pace or talk or scratch at the walls. Anything to keep him busy. So, Diavolo resorted to lust.

soery for the ignorance but what's tma tme ?
no, it’s alright, no need to apologize for asking questions.
to break it down, tma/tme are acronyms for ‘transmisogyny affected/transmisogyny exempt’. they were coined, i must assume, with good intentions as a way to talk about how transphobia affects trans woman/transfems versus everyone else. which, yeah, obviously, how you’re perceived and gendered flavors the kind of violence you are subject to. the problem is that the terms have been used to enforce a new false binary, one in which anyone ‘tma’ experiences a more violent and traumatizing form of transphobia and anyone ‘tme’ just. doesn’t experience that, i guess. this is demonstrably false.
i mentioned intersexism in the post i assume you’re referring to because a lot of the time, what people mean when they say ‘tma/tme’ is ‘person who is amab/person who is afab’. the creation of any sex binary erases that intersex people exist, sweeps the shit they go through under the rug. and enforcing these categories in this way also leads to people’s lived experiences being denied or downplayed, because it turns out that transphobes don’t actually care what a doctor said about your genitals at birth or how you identify now when they attack you, they care about how they’re gendering you right now and how they perceive you as a threat. (there’s this idea that if someone ‘tme’ experiences transmisogynistic violence, that they’re just collateral damage of violence that was actually meant for anyone ‘tma’. that’s, frankly, dehumanizing as hell. it does not stop being transmisogyny directed at you just because you don’t fit a category someone else put on you.)
transmisogyny is real. transandrophobia is real. we are all hurt by transphobia, and having language to discuss the nuances of it is a damn good thing. trying to insist that our experiences all exist in opposition to each other, that for some of us to suffer means that others must be doing great, isn’t helpful. and strict binaries of any kind are only going to hurt people.
hopefully that helped. not exactly in my best essay writing mode. but that’s the basics of it and why i dislike its usage.

He laid across Gia and Kendall's laps, letting Kendall massage away the ache in his legs while Gia ran their hands through his hair, humming softly.
"Hm? Of course we know that," Kendall replied, "did something make you think otherwise?"
Synthia rubbed at his eyes, trying to stop tears from clouding his vision. "No, I just- would you tell me if you didn't love me anymore?"
Gia's head shot up. "What? Why would you even say that? We would never-"
"But this is just so-it's so hard. It's a Saturday and you could be out doing things and having fun but we're all..here..home on the couch because of me, because I’ve barely been able to keep myself upright lately.”
Kendall sighed, they'd had this conversation so many times before and it never got easier to hear. It hurt that no matter how many times they'd assure him that he was loved despite is illness, he still thought they'd be better off without him as if they hadn't been a team throughout everything.
“But we don’t want to be without you, why don’t you get that?” Gia protested, their temper flaring slightly.”
Resting an assuring hand on Gia’s arm, Kendall spoke softly. “What Gia means is that we wouldn’t want to be doing anything “fun” if you weren’t there. It simply wouldn’t be fun without you.”
“I-I’m soery, I just can’t help but think-“
“Baby,” Gia soothed, petting his warm cheeks softly with their fingertips, “don’t think about that. I’m sorry I snapped at you.”
“It’s okay, I-“
“Synthia,” Kendall said firmly but gently, “we love you. Gia and I would both have lazy days with you every day for the rest of our lives if that meant we just got to be with you. You don’t deserve to go though what you go through but we won’t ever leave you. So no, we would never tell you we didn’t love you anymore because it would never happen.”
“We made it this far,” Gia said, resuming combing through Synthia’s hair with their fingers. “We obviously can’t give up now.”
Synthia snuggled closer into their laps, mind quieted some by their reassurances. “Okay,” he said softly, a lilt of sadness and exhaustion in his voice, “I love you both too. I’m sorry.”
Kendall lovingly squeezed his leg. “Don’t be sorry, just focus on getting some rest, darling.”
