actually another thing I don’t ever see mentioned with PJO (both in fandom and in series) - ADHD is a disability! Dyslexia is a disability! There’s some acknowledgement to this in the early books but later on especially into HoO and TOA there’s next to no note of it! Nearly every character in it is disabled! And yet that aspect still manages to be forgotten about! Or if acknowledged, later into the series it only becomes a running gag rather than taking it seriously or even treating it casually.
I really do hope in the next book, especially if there’s focus on Nico’s disabilities at all, that his ADHD/dyslexia (and also in Nico’s case, autistic-coding) aren’t downplayed to be “less” of a disability or not disabilities at all because they don’t physically manifest in the same ways as other disabilities. I really miss that aspect of acknowledgement from the first series so it’d be nice to see it brought back.

I have the single player raised by villa-#-gers for years and years cuz his mom dropped him off in the single player world when Scar wasn’t conscidered a player yet since he was an-#-infant cuz it was a teen pregnancy and she was too scared to tell anyone so she just dropped him off with the villagers never to be seen#again. and since it was technically HER single player world when Scar DID grow up old enough to be recognized as a player he couldn’t#access any of the 'exit world' stuff or anything like that since it wasn’t his world#and then like a watcher or smth pulled him out of it so that Scar could be put through the horrors of gun related things for experimentstuff#and then there’s the backstory of where scar IS a watcher. like not a person turned watcher he was BORN (if you could say that) a watcher#and like the other watchers wanted to do an experiment of basically 'could a watcher if stripped of its memories and placed in a people-#-world be able to produce its own feelings and emotions?' and so they did that to Scar but they didn’t place him there as a baby no. they#placed him there as a full grown man so bros even more confused. and when the life series stuff started he had exactly one ☝️ dream per#Series and it was tiny little snippets of his watcher self but he didn’t know that it’s him but like he felt a strange pull towards these#dreams so that’s basically the reason why he kept coming back to the life games even tho they hurt him deeply as we all know#and then when he won secret life the secret keeper asked him what his wish was now that he’s won and he didn’t ask to know who he was and#where he came from (since he just appeared one day as a full grown man with no identification) since he’s made peace with that maybe it is#better not to know. so instead he asked abt the dreams he always has in these series and wth their abt and the context and stuff#and then BAM the secret keeper just drops all that information on him and he has an identity crises :D#anyways. i adore thinking about the fucked up tpn stuff that was either not considered during the writing process or deliberately left unexplored.
tpn really said 'each house has about 6 shipments and receives about 6 new children to replace them each year. the minimum age a child can be shipped out is 6. tpn begins with conny's shipment in october, after which dominic is the only remaining 6 year-old at the house' without even considering the implications of that. how about 'we know literally nothing about anyone from the age group between anna+nat's and thoma+lanni's groups because theyre all gone by the time the story starts' also literally no one ever brings them up. or my personal favorite of 'isabella painstakingly hand-made little bunny for conny's 6th birthday. conny turned 6 in september, about a month before she was shipped out' like do you think isabella was at least a little pissed about that. i like to think she was

It is unknown at this time for why he is no longer associated with the group, but on [REDACTED] he was found by talon footsoldiers and taken in after being found once more after he had brutally murdered the whole squad.
Upon further inspection, it grew apparent he was unlike any other omnic Talon had found prior, and he demonstrated remarkable abilities not even [REDACTED] could replicate, thus making him a target for her experiments.
Although this did not last long, an incident during the [REDACTED] project ended up making [REDACTED] cease her attempts, though nobody knows why.
There has been rumor however, if you looked close enough, you would be able to see traces of a larger scar just above her neck.
There have been reports of unprovoked violence coming from [REDACTED] during random times of the day. He would either lash out at his surroundings, or any poor soul who happens to be around him during his outbursts.
We have tried to communicate with him from time to time, but none of our efforts came up with any useful information.
His responses were always violence, or, if he was in a better mood, he would ignore it entirely.
That rarely happens.
Despite our attempts, he has shown no indication that he intends to be the slightest bit cooperative with our experiments and intends to do whatever he wishes to do as he sees fit.
Not even [REDACTED] wishes to work with him.
Even though he says otherwise, he tenses everytime he is brought up in conversation, and frequently glances around the area.

But something happened between them, or else [REDACTED] wouldn't be here and this file wouldn't exist in the first place.
We were unable to find out anything else regarding his past, including the time he awakened.
But maybe it's better if nobody knew in the first place.

still got a bit to go before i finally finish this but this oneshot i’ve been working on turned into a 12k+ word monster fhsgdg
#i am a wordy bitch and it is my downfall#but thats okay im having fun with it and even if its not everyones dig it feels so good to write again#this is what hermitcraft and the life series does to me ✊😔#i may need to technically turn this into two parts/two chapters of a oneshot just to make things a little more consumable#for people that MIGHT be interested :’)#even if no one is at least im getting this outta my system lmao#instead of holding in ideas/stories and never weiting them or drawing them or anything
