Ungefähr seit 1985, Stand September 2023

Das brauche ich dringend sofort! Und es wird mit Sicherheit mein Leben sofort verbessern und mich endlich zu dem Menschen machen, der ich immer sein wollte

Auch ich bin im Besitz von Dingen. Aber nur wenige von denen habe ich (anders als Kathrin und Mia) nie gebraucht. Im Gegenteil: Sehr viele Neuerungen werden von mir jubelnd begrüßt und ich will sie sofort haben (Mirror TV! Wann kann ich das wo kaufen? Endlich beim Zähneputzen nicht mehr aufpassen müssen, dass das Handy nicht auf den Boden fällt!). Ich muss aber auch gestehen, dass nicht alle davon mein Leben so verbessert haben, wie ich oder die Werbung es mir versprochen haben. Eine kleine Bestandsaufnahme, ungefähr chronologisch sortiert:

Computer: Wollte ich sofort haben. Erst war es ein ZX81, der aus heutiger Sicht noch praktisch nichts konnte. Und der ständig abstürzte, weil der Verbindungsstecker zum externen 16 KB Speichermodul aufgrund von Oxidationsproblemen notorisch unzuverlässig war - ein bekanntes Problem. Aber ich konnte darauf die ersten BASIC und Assembler-Programme eintippen. Brauchte ich ihn? Naja, was heißt brauchen. Er hat wahrscheinlich meine weitere berufliche Bahn sehr geprägt.

Wasserkocher - mit Bodenstation! Wasserkocher, die mit Netzkabel verbunden blieben, hatten mich zunächst nicht so richtig überzeugt: “Da kann ich doch auch Wasser im Topf heiß machen”. Dann bekam ich einen Wasserkocher, den man, wenn das Wasser heiß ist, von seiner kabelgebundenen Bodenstation hochheben kann, zum Einzug in meine erste eigene Wohnung geschenkt. Und der hat sofort seinen Platz in meiner Küche und meinem Leben gefunden.

Pager (ein Skyper): Wollte ich sofort haben. Viele Nachrichten, die an mich persönlich gerichtet waren, erhielt ich darauf nicht, und ja: Der heutige Zweifel an dem Nutzen dieser Geräte ist nicht unbegründet. So richtig gebraucht habe auch ich ihn - aus heutiger Sicht: natürlich - nicht. Aber im Gegensatz zu den hier verspotteten Geräten konnte er auch allgemeine Nachrichten anzeigen. Ich konnte zum Beispiel einstellen, dass er mich informierte, wenn ein Tor bei einem (aus Sicht von Fußballbegeisterten: wichtigen) Fußballspiel fiel - was mich selber zwar genau gar nicht interessiert hat, aber aufgrund des großen gesellschaftlichen Interesses an Fußball bei manchen Familienfeiern großes Interesse an dem Gerätchen auslöste, wenn zeitgleich ein Spiel stattfand.

Handy: Wollte ich sofort haben, konnte es mir aber erst finanziell nicht so gut leisten. Als ich es dann hatte, hat es sich schnell in mein Leben integriert.

PDA / Palm: Wollte ich auch unbedingt haben. Nützlichkeit war dann eher so lala.

Smartphone: Mit der Kombination wurden endlich Handy und PDA richtig nützlich. Habe ich auch sofort eingesehen, wollte es auch sofort haben. Bis heute wahrscheinlich das wichtigste Gerät überhaupt.

E-Reader / Kindle: Da war ich erst etwas zurückhaltend, weil ich fand, ich könne doch auch auf dem Handy lesen. Aber die lange Lebensdauer des Akkus, der bescheidene Preis im Vergleich zum Handy oder Tablet und das spiegelfreie Display haben mich doch überzeugt. Ist jetzt nicht mein meistgenutztes Gerät, aber schon ne gute Ergänzung.

Staubsaugerroboter: Sehr überzeugende Idee. Gerade weil ich mich nicht fürs Putzen interessiere, finde ich die Idee, das an einen Roboter delegieren zu können, großartig. Bewährt hat er sich so mittelmäßig. Gar nicht so selten vergesse ich, Sachen wegzuräumen, und dann verfängt er sich in irgendwelchem herumliegenden Kram. Und jedes Mal, wenn ich ihn sauber machen muss, denke ich: In der Zeit hätte ich auch mehrfach die Wohnung saugen können, das wäre weniger aufwändig und weniger eklig. Aber dennoch, der Kleine verrichtet seine Dienste.

Alexa / Echo / Smart Home / Sprachsteuerung: Wird im Alltag von mir nicht so viel benutzt, aber zum Musik hören, für Einkaufslisten, Wecker und so schon immer mal wieder. Mir scheint das Konzept, nicht extra ein Gerät mit mir rumtragen zu müssen, sondern dass mich der Computer immer umgibt und ich ohne extra sichtbares Interface mit ihm interagieren kann, äußerst sinnvoll. Freue mich auch sehr auf smarte (augmented Reality) Brillen.

Reiskocher: Als Felix Lorenz im Techniktagebuch darüber vor einigen Jahren berichtete, hat mich die Idee sofort angezündet und ich war überzeugt. Schon, weil die Technik so großartig ist: Das Ding funktioniert, weil ein Gegenstück zu einem Magneten, wenn alles Wasser verkocht ist, seine Curie-Temperatur erreicht und dadurch seine ferromagnetischen Eigenschaften verliert! Wie genial kann eine technische Nutzung eines komplizierten physikalischen Effekts bitteschön sein! Schon aus dieser Begeisterung heraus musste ich mir ebenfalls sofort einen Reiskocher kaufen. Eine Zeit lang habe ich ihn gerne und viel genutzt. Im Moment verstaubt er leider etwas, aber während ich dies schreibe, bekomme ich schon wieder Lust, Reis zu kochen.

VR-Brille / Oculus Quest: Hat mich spontan wesentlich mehr begeistert als die PS5, und in der Lehre benutze ich sie gelegentlich. Aber für häufigeren Gebrauch ist sie mir doch zu unbequem. Da fehlt noch ein Entwicklungsschritt, bevor ich sie wirklich gerne und häufiger benutze.

Twitter: Irgendwie ist die Bedeutung von Twitter recht lange an mir vorbeigegangen. Das tut mir im Nachhinein leid. Aber ich war schon so lange in irgendwelchen Diskussionsforen und Mailinglisten und so was unterwegs, dass ich die Beschränkung auf 140 Zeichen für unnötig hielt und mir nicht vorstellen konnte, dass Twitter mal ernsthaft eine große Rolle spielen würde. Ist wahrscheinlich wirklich etwas, wo ich lauterbachte, dass ich es nicht bräuchte. Im März 2012 habe ich zwar wenigstens einen Account dort angelegt, aber erst 2014 meinen ersten Tweet abgesetzt, meinen zweiten sogar erst 2017. Mal schauen, wie das weiter geht mit Mastodon und Bluesky (Apropos! Braucht vielleicht noch jemand einen Einladungscode? Ich hätte da noch mehrere) und Threads und so.

Spielekonsole / PS5: Ich dachte: Endlich auch mal eine Spielekonsole besitzen, und der Sohn war halt richtig heiß darauf. Im Nachhinein eine unnötige Anschaffung. Ich spiele darauf gar nicht, der Sohn selten.

Joghurtbereiter: Wollte ich nie haben, habe ich aber von einem lieben Menschen geschenkt bekommen. Benutze ich gelegentlich. Eigentlich kein so unendlich nützliches oder wichtiges Gerät. Wird vor allem aus Sentimentalitäts- und Sehnsuchtsgründen weiter verwendet.

Was ich - noch! - nicht habe:

Elektrischer Milchaufschäumer: Ich trinke gerne Kaffee. Mit Milch. Noch lieber mit Milchschaum. Meine Schwester war zu Besuch und wunderte sich, dass ich keinen elektrischen Milchaufschäumer habe. Kannte ich nicht. Habe ich sofort gegoogelt und bestellt. Ich bin sehr gespannt und freue mich darauf. Übermorgen soll er ankommen! (Update)

Apple Watch: Wäre schon nice to have. Aber halt auch ganz schön teuer. Zu dem Preis erwerbe ich dann doch lieber einen (gebrauchten) Fender Jazzbass. Oder ein Kajak. Ich habe ja immerhin einen Schrittzähler, der wenigstens ein klein wenig smart zu sein vorgibt.

E-Bike: Ich habe leider noch kein eigenes - das hat aber logistische Gründe. Ich kann regelmäßig eines mitbenutzen. Ich hätte gerne eines. Falls die Mitnutzungsmöglichkeit wegfällt, werde ich wohl eins kaufen.

Auto: Als Jugendlicher hätte ich gerne ein Auto gehabt. Aber irgendwie kam es nie dazu. Heute überzeugt mich das Konzept eines Autos für individuelle Mobilität nicht; 1,5 Tonnen durch die Gegend bewegen zu müssen für vielleicht 80 kg Mensch kommt mir wenig effektiv vor. Außerdem bin ich zu oft an Orten, wo dann das Auto wohl nicht wäre, wenn ich es bräuchte. Dazu der Platzbedarf, auch wenn es nicht benutzt wird, und die Kosten, und der Aufwand (Steuern, Versicherungen, TÜV, Reparaturen, ...). Noch problematischer bei fossil betriebenen Autos. Bin ganz froh, meist gut ohne eigenes Auto auszukommen. Gibt ja Fahrrad und Öffis und - bei dringendem Transportbedarf - Taxis (bzw. MOIA), oder im Notfall Carsharing. Prognose: Wenn Elektromobilität weiter so fortschreitet und immer cooler wird, wird vermutlich doch bald der Besitzwunsch bei mir zu groß werden und ich doch irgendwann über meinen Schatten springen. Noch hoffe ich aber, dass bald autonom fahrende Fahrzeuge im Sharing-Modell Realität werden.

While I am stilling writing up profiles and designing characters for my Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! series 'Hunted Butterfly', I decided to do a quick character lineup of my OCs that I considered to be a part of the main cast. I will have a line up for supporting characters and antagonists.

I also wrote up some basic info about them as a form of roll call to introduce them to new people.

From left to right we have;

Salem- A demon spider-monkey hybrid. Knighted warrior of his home planet and guardian of his godson Reynold Nystrom Jr./Rain, he is Gibson's biological brother. His mysterious knowledge about Dark Ones and his unique combat have helped the Hyperforce team in many ways, they are concerned about his awareness of Dark Ones as he will not elaborate on where he got this knowledge from.

Tech- Commonly going by his nickname, a very skilled mechanic and Chrome's younger brother. He usually works alongside his creator/father in his projects and helping with raising his goddaughter, Sophie Ito. His understanding of new and old technology has helped the Hyperforce team a lot with fighting the war, he and Otto are close mechanic buddies as they work on new projects together while also having a mutual concern for Chrome albeit for slightly distinct reasons.

Chrome- A fully robot monkey mercenary as well as the chosen wielder of the Dark Reaper who fights the Krivark on his home planet. He is Tech's older brother and primary guardian of his goddaughter Sophie Ito; he later becomes Otto's boyfriend. He works to find the answers to many secrets relating to his home but also Eki's past, secretly having a feeling she's more important than what was originally thought to be.

Skyper- The last monkey created by the Alchemist and later became a Formless-Monkey Hybrid due to Skeleton King; he is Antauri's biological younger brother. He's very unique in not just biology but also in his general personality, at times he's mysterious even to himself. These days, he's acting as Eki's self-proclaimed guardian/protector.

Eki- A bionic human girl who was rescued from her 'creator' by the Hyperforce which after some time she becomes a member of the team and Chiro's foster sister. She is learning about life and freedom while adapting to her powers, thankfully for her she has a good support group in her growing development.

Amy- The botanist of the Hyperforce, using her knowledge to help Gibson craft cures and keep the team safe from dangerous specimens on unknown worlds. She is also Sparx's younger biological sister; She's probably one of the very few who can stop everyone else from killing Sparx but will have her moments where she wants to 'kill' him. While not an occasional fighter, she can hold her own when needed.

Azure Spear and Ruby Mace- A pair of monkeys who are very much in love to the point where they got married, they live on the same planet as Chrome and work various part-time jobs to keep themselves occupied. Azure is the peacekeeper while Ruby is the warrior, they in a way act as unofficial advisors to the Hyperforce with Ruby more of the fighting type mentor while Azure is the more emotional/mental advisor. They have a good relationship with the Hyperforce team while being old friends of Salem, Chrome and Tech.

Octavia- A monkey-sea siren/mermaid hybrid and the adopted daughter to the current queen of Atlantia, an underwater kingdom that resides in the Shuggazoom ocean. She acts as the expert of sea life and later becomes Gibson's girlfriend, through her Gibson has learned to relax more and accept the concepts of 'magic' better. She's close to the female members of the team and has a good relationship with the males, Sparx is protective of her's and Gibson relationship.

Coco- A young female monkey created by an exiled Veron Mystic member and raised as not just his student but also his daughter in a small pocket dimension. Other than the Power Primate, she had light and healing powers. She eventually becomes Antauri's girlfriend (And to Skyper's delight, his sister-in-law). She's honestly struggling to adapt to Shuggazoom but she knows that she'll be ok with the rest of the Hyperforce team with her.

Kaneki- One and the only surviving prototype of the monkey team who later became a part of the Super Robot as a part of its subconscious and in control of it. When he is discovered and his new body is completed with the updated nano bots, he is fully trusted with controlling the Super Robot when needed and acts as a secondary advisor and guardian to the whole team. It is heavily implied that he and Antauri have developed a form of psychic connection due to the events of 'I, Chiro' while he's lowkey worrisome about Chiro's future.

That's it for now, hopefully I will have written up the profiles for other characters as well.

Jour 39

Ouai, ouais ouais ouais... Les traumas hein, toujours pareil pfff.. Le pire c'est que je m'en rend compte après que c'est ridicule, que ça ne devrais pas me rendre comme ça mais j'arrive pas à contrôler cette merde, j'arrive pas à comprendre le truc qui fait disjoncter mon cerveau et pourtant ça fait un moment que j'étudie la question, que je cherche. Quand je suis pas dedant, c'est OK. Je comprend, j'analyse, je trouve la solution et c'est good. Mais des que ça reviens, tant que je stoppe pas la crise, c'est un chaos infernal dans ma tête et impossible de connecter 2 neurones... Rien de pire que de savoir qu'on a pas le contrôle de soit.

Cette fois c'est 2 choses : la peur de parler à quelqu'un et de se sentir jugé + le fait d'avoir été mis involontairement à l'écart sur un sujet ou j'estimais être un peu concerné et qui m'as clairement fait me sentir moins que rien.

J'ai pris un tsunami dans ma confiance en moi, déjà pas bien haute et hop, une crise 👌

MAIIIIIS, demi victoire, j'ai réussi à la stopper avant qu'elle détruise tout et quelle aille trop loin ! 🥳 (mais je l'ai vu arrivé là connasse)

Oui j'en ai parler à Hades, oui il a écouté comme il a pu, oui je pense qu'il a quand même compris malgré qu'on ai discuté brièvement. Je le sais grâce à quelques mots en fait

Non mais j'ai beau me saboté FORT FORT, je reste persuadé qu'il est quand même hyper vaillant d'affronter tout ce que je lui fait involontairement endurer et que putain, j'ai ptetre trouvé reelement l'homme qu'il me faut quoi. Genre celui avec qui j'ai reelement envie de finir ma vie mais avec qui c'est vraiment possible (surtout la deuxième partie qui est importante)

ohoho man. grab a seat anon, and let me tell you a really long and stupid story about a headcanon i had many moons ago...

i got into tf2 over the summer of 2011, when i was 14. somewhere at the end of the 2010-2011 school year, i went to a function that the local high school held to acclimate next year's incoming freshmen. while i was there i bumped into a friend from elementary school who i'd lost contact with, we traded Skypes (where my skypers at???), and he got me into this awesome game called Team Fortress 2, because, hey, it just went free to play!

(here's my proof i joined literally one week after it went f2p)

here's what you need to know about 14 year old Shebbz: i was extremely autistic. i had just found out about tumblr after spending my formative years on deviantart. i still did not process that i was a comphet lesbian. and i LOOOOOOVED scout! i loved him so much. scout was everything to me. he was ME and also he was my BOYFRIEND and i was drawing him on EVERY surface i could use a pencil on. all i played was scout. i was not good at it but that didn't stop me. i was textbook 14-year-old crazy and scout was the chosen vessel for it. also i drew like this:

ok. so. i'm insane. i love scout. thunder mountain is my favorite map because it's the prettiest and that's the only metric i judge anything by. and every day i talk tf2 with my friends at lunch, which is about three to five obnoxious 14 y/o boys. and i fucking wish i still had the paper or at least a scan of it, but one day i had the BRILLIANT idea for a headcanon for scout.

okay so get this, i tell my friends at lunch as i'm unzipping my backpack to grab my notebook. scout is so funny and cool right? nods of agreement. he's obviously way too cool for the other mercs to handle. he's hip and with-it. well, check out this idea i just had, i think it's got a lot of potential. i slide a piece of paper over the table to my very dear friend who got me into tf2.

it's two panels. the first has scout holding up his own drawing of the thunder mountain skybox scenery, storm clouds and all, and he's saying, "look guys, i drew thunder mountain!" in the second panel, all you see is bullet holes through the paper and, presumably, into his torso meat behind it. "ow," he says. he's crying a little.

now i thought i was really onto something here. i was excited to get talking and explore more headcanons branching off of this one.

but my friend shut that shit down IMMEDIATELY. lo, my obsession with scout has turned into bastardization! i have lost touch with the canon! at this point i have woobified scout into something completely divorced from the soul of the character! and my greatest crime-- baseless projection! put that bit from jurassic park about the scientists here. clearly, he surmised, i had been poisoned by all those saucy yaoi askblogs i'd been following at the time. (hey, leave askheavy out of this!)

i was ashamed. embarrassed. he read me like an open book. i felt like the scout in the drawing. i put the drawing up, did away with my frivolous little headcanon, and resolved to be more of a stickler for canon-accuracy in my fanworks. hell, i nearly ended up becoming something of a fandom police myself. but i always felt a little slighted. yes i was projecting, but because of that, it was so personal! so what if it was totally baseless? it meant something to me!!

anyway, that was late 2011. seasons came and changed the time... i later had a falling-out with that friend (for totally unrelated reasons) and switched high schools to a newer fancier one. i got diagnosed with bipolar and i was trying so, so, SO hard just to get out of bed and scrape through my classes with C's and D's.

2014. june. i'm 17 and i'm borderline comatose now that it's summer break and i have no reason to get out of bed in the morning. what little creative energy i have is directed towards my askblogs with incredibly inconsistent and sporadic results. and i really don't play tf2 much at this point. no energy for it.

but then... a light in the shadows. a triumphant fanfare. at long last, there's another tf2 animatic, and it has hand-delivered unto me the sweetest validation, the coldest dish of revenge, the delicious ice cream sundae of justice:
