(I prefer the anniversary-recordings, but they are technically no movies, so I go with this one.)
Master and Commander (Peter Weier, 2003)
Spotlight (Tom McCarthy, 2015)
Little Lord Fauntleroy (Jack Gold, 1980)
Dead Poets Society (Peter Weir, 1989)
Star Wars Episode VI (Richard Marquand, 1983)
(I love all the Star Wars movies but Episode VI is simple such a worthy finale.)
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (Nicholas Meyer, 1982)
The Hunchback of Notre-Dame (Gary Trousdale, Kirk Wise, 1996)
I think the bottom line here is that you can get me with either historical or with science-fiction movies. Bonus point if they feature Sir Alec Guinness and Russell Crowe, are directed by Peter Weir or were produced in the 1980’s.
