issues with calling or headcanoning sk as america’s child

or, a deep dive and evaluation of sk-us relations over the years as a south korean

Recently, I saw a post where someone gave their hcs of america pursuing a relationship with nk, which resulted in sk’s “birth.” then nk was afraid this new child would usurp their title and basically cause them to die, and so wanted to kill this new child before that happened. then america intervenes and “saves” sk. I believe this is the quick version of that headcanon.

I’m not trying to make this a callout post, I’m just giving my own thoughts based on experience living around US bases(Yongsan specifically)

As many have pointed out, this reeks of stereotypical “evil asian mom and chill/cooler white dad,” as well as us imperialism apologia. It also reminds me a lot of madame butterfly in a way? Additionally, it basically ignores the fact that South Korea has its own culture and existence long before US imperialism.

If the US is like sk’s “dad” in a sense, then wouldn’t that ring true for other cold war states, like south vietnam, or west germany?

I’ll leave my thoughts under the cut. This is the longest thing I’ve ever written.

Primary issues with the headcanon

Throughout Korea’s history, there were times where Korea was unified, and times where Korea was not. There have also been splits of different states, north and south. I point to the Kingdoms of Goguryeo and Silla during the Three Kingdoms Period, and even before then with Gojoseon and Jin. So this split is not exactly new, and this is why I personally disagree with the headcanon that North and South Korea were babies around the time of the split, and rather that they represented Goguryeo and Silla.

The Korean War had stemmed from a desire to reunite the two states. Kim Il-Sung had pursued this and that started the war, and even Syngman Rhee pursued this ideal as well after the UN forces recaptured Seoul, resulting in that further push to invade North Korea. But this desire would have never existed if they weren’t split to begin with and remained whole as they did since 700 years ago with the establishment of the Joseon Dynasty. The Korean War was not willingly fought by both South and North Koreans.

It was a result of imperialist states splitting us up and then pitting us against each other(even the split was quite hasty, with families being split across the border), so it’s also wrong to draw parallels of SK fighting for its existence in the Korean War and the US during the Revolutionary War. One was fought to stay alive as a nation, and of which can be traced to outside forces laying their influence on the Peninsula, and one was fought willingly and of their own accord.

So it’s important to remember that the War was not because of an attempt to kill a “child” made by North Korea and America, it was the result of a nation that has been unified as one for 700 years being split suddenly, and the desire on both sides to reunify, albeit under their own management. Additionally, the idea of South Korea being “a child” of the US ignores the centuries-worth culture and history that was not influenced by the US and propagates the idea that we belong in the US’s shadow, and that without them, we have no identity.

South Koreans affectionately refer to the US as our “brother state,” but never think of the relationship as a parent and child. Remember that.

Next, we’ll talk about the role of the US in this.

While doing some research into the split, I found that after Korea was liberated in 1945, a socialist government(People’s Republic of Korea) was organized and supported by the majority of the population. This made the most sense. There was a vast gap of inequality between the Korean peasants, and the Korean nobles(who were given/maintained that power by betraying their Korean identity and working with the Japanese), so they advocated for social reform, such as land reform. However, the US wanted to set up their own military government(which for some time had actually supported the Japanese colonial government). So the US censored and then outlawed the popular government, putting themselves in charge and keeping advisors such as former Japanese colonial officers, wealthy landowners, and businesspeople. You know, the exact people the popular government was against?

This government then set up elections. The majority of Koreans didn’t want that, because they knew that these elections would divide the country and leave no hope of unifying. So they protested, but they were put down by police and the US military. It might also be worth it to read about the Jeju Massacre, in which Jeju people protesting the UN-backed elections were brutally suppressed by Syngman Rhee and the US Military. This killed about 10% of Jeju’s population. Though the South Korean government has issued an apology, we have yet to hear from the US.

So the US set up a government that supported a military dictator(it started with Syngman Rhee) and continued to support a long chain of these military dictators(who sent pro-democratic people to concentration camps) even during the Gwangju Massacre, when many pro-democratic students protested against the dictatorship and the then-president Chun Doo Hwan responded by commanding the military and police to fire on citizens. Though official government figures place the deaths at 200 people, citizens of Gwangju say it’s closer to 2000 people.

I only found out about the concentration camps this year, and it’s because the South Korean Government, who wants to stay on the US’s good side, actively represses the role of the US in the military dictatorship. I’m pretty sure the US’s role is also barely taught in Korean history textbooks, since the government has tried to rewrite and issue textbooks themselves.

Recently, the grandson of Chun Doo Hwan(the president that ordered the military to shoot on the protesters, and also was supported by US Presidents Carter and Reagan), apologized on behalf of his grandfather and family, who had constantly told him it was just a riot when he was a kid. He also took the time to expose his family, friends, and even his own money laundering crimes. He personally visited Gwangju and gave a full floor-level bow in apology. This was a first step in the correct direction. However, the government, especially with Yoon Seok Yeol’s pro-US and anti-NK sentiment, is trying not to shed light on these issues, and it’s why I believe a lot of people tend to continue to favor the US, because they don’t really know or are aware of the US’s full part in our military dictatorship.

Another interesting read would be the Namyeong-Dong Anti Communist Investigation Office, a former prison facility and torture room for pro-democracy protestors.

Now for the existing US impact on South Korea: The USFK

The USFK(short for United States Forces Korea) is the Korean branch of the US Military. They have an active presence in South Korea since 1957, which is about 65 years ago.

Not many Koreans have an Anti-American sentiment, but the USFK has consistently caused it to resurge throughout the nation.

In 2000, it was found out that the US military had dumped about 20 gallons(75L) of formaldehyde into the Han River, which at the time was a main drinking source for about 12 million people in Seoul.

They carelessly ran over two 14-year old girls(Shin Hyosun and Shim Miseon) with one of the US military’s armored vehicles in 2002. What made things worse was that the US Military Court found them not guilty. In response to the incident and other grievances with the US military, PSY actually rapped a song called “Dear American” written by a South Korean band criticizing them, mostly regarding the US military and their involvement in the Iraqi War, which he later had to apologize to the US military for rapping after he got famous singing Gangnam Style.

The US military was also involved in forced prostitution and human trafficking. In 1992, Yoon Geum-i, a military sex worker, was raped and killed brutally by Private Kenneth Markle. He was tried and initially received life in prison, but then later his sentence was reduced to 15 years in prison after Yoon Geum-i’s family received $72,000 as compensation from the US government. In 2006, he was released on parole and then deported to the US. @tianshiisdead further goes into detail on this on her post about these headcanons.

In 2020, it was found that the major camp of the USFK, Camp Humphreys, was hosting a no mask COVID party while the Korean government was urging locals to limit in person gatherings as the cases were surging. The party was on a Friday, and on Monday it was found that 408 USFK-affiliated individuals tested positive for COVID.

The South Korean government pays them to stay here... and do what? Cause trouble?

The USFK and US funding the ROK military has led to the ROK military being one of the strongest. However, we are not allowed our own weapons, and the US constantly attempts to provoke North Korea through any presidential remarks, or actions. This keeps South Korea reliant on the US, and allows for a continued presence in South Korea.

Conclusion

All of this is why it’s so important to keep checking back on how you see Korea and America’s relationship in Hetalia. As positive as current relations may be, it’s important to remember the many failures on the US’s part to keep their military acting like decent human beings at times, and that they literally caused the split along with the USSR, and made it permanent through the suggestion and implementation of elections, which Koreans on both sides largely did not support.

South Korea has one of the highest positive perception rates towards the US. This may be due to their hand in helping us develop as a nation and also providing aid during the Korean War, but it may also be due to the suppression of the full extent of activities the US has partook in South Korea, and due to the Anti-North Korea sentiment that was also propagated by the US.

Also, the fact that Americans also call the Korean War “The Forgotten War” is so frustrating to me. Did we just... not matter in the long run? We’re just a pawn, or a strategic location, right? The separated families, the civilian casualties(which was a higher rate than WW2′s and the Vietnam War), the devastation of so many cities... just didn’t matter? Maybe you forgot, but it’s impacted us and our decisions for years. Just goes to show how selfish the US can be...

As much as I do wish one of my favorite ships were one of complete happiness where nothing is wrong, this is not the case, and I am trying my best to express that in art or headcanons. It is important to acknowledge that the 70-year long relationship, though sharing some positive, unproblematic moments through cultural exchange and joint collaboration in the modern era, is characterized by a lack of trust on South Korea’s end, largely due to how the US has wronged us over the years.

I'm so excited for the usmp like I'll know the English creators, and probably a decent amount of the spanish ones, but that means there's still going to be 40 other creators I've never heard of or watched content of, new people to interact with my favorite creators and who knows what cool interactions and funny bits will come out of it.. its seriously so exciting I can't wait to get to know all of those new people

I really wish I'd been medicated/encouraged as a child and given the chance to learn more languages because there's a special kind of joy that comes with linguistic variety in life

#im bilingual but struggle in my home town since we dont have native french speakers here #but im sat by the window listening to my neighbors chat loudly in Ukrainian and its such a lovelylanguage #and i wish i could speak it with them and the elderly couple upstairs y'know?#i wished id been encouraged to learn the various languages of my city alongside the ones in school. so spanish and Ukrainian to start #probably some arabic at some point and some korean as well. it just would be nice to have grown up with even bare bones language #for the different communities i grew up around #i have the curiosity and the brain for it just not the executive function

i actually still haven't read the entirety of the 7seas tl bc it wasn't all out on my last read and i got impatient sjxkd but!! with the revised version finally out and some lovely ppl having translated the chapters with big changes I think it'll be fun to read them together :D

ahhh unfortunately busuu only has really basic korean lessons--they're really nice though! i just did the highest level test it would let me do for free (the second-to-last unit of the A1 lessons) but it was nice that there are human voices reading the exercises instead of the tts, and that they actually show you how to conjugate verbs!

im not one to usually meddle with fanwars and such but i dont fuck around with svt n cheol , and this situation is not even between fandoms its about someones injury thats way more serious than all yall make it out to be, this is about someones health not some music bank voting so stop using ass logic on this, stop dragging other idols into this saying " but he was injured too " " he had surgery too " yes okay he did and i hope nothing but the best for ur idol but learn to understand that the grading is given by skr government and is not displayed on ur regular voting poll,

seungcheol being given a grade 5 has nothing to do with ur idols being given another grade that didnt exempt them from enlisting, and im sure that since he is injured ur idol got some exceptions in the military while serving too, like grade 4 which is civil service, they have exceptions that the higher grades dont have, and it is there to ensure the person doesnt burden themselves,

seungcheol obtained this injury 6 months ago and if u educated urself on a thing or two abt an ACL injury you would realise its a permenant injury, he is still undergoing recovery , his participation in the comeback doesnt state that he wud be bouncing off the fucking walls and if u r going to fight that just know other idols too have been on stage while undergoing recovery with restrictions here and there so they dont overwork themselves so dont bring ur "thats not fair" bullshit here,

and the whole " HYBE is favouring svt " firstly the exemption was only for seungcheol, and the reason is his medical condition which btw, since ur so familiar w the korean government , is stated among the reasons for military exemption , they have u go through a testing and they r the ones grading u, not the damn entertainment company u work for, im rlly sorry if that didnt click for u,

jeonghan is also due enlistment this year and he recently obtained an injury too which had him undergo surgery but there has been no news abt him being exempted from the military so pls know ur facts before u speak, all idols have obtained injuries, they r just on different levels of extreme and they r graded based on alot of factors, like time duration since the injury, that some measly rat on the internet shouldnt be shitting on

if ur wishing that ur idol got graded a military exemption just know that ur basically wishing ur idol got injured so badly that they get exempted from mandatory service... thats disrespectful and so disgusting i hope u realise that..

n yeah thats abt all i had to say here,

wishing a speedy recovery to choi seungcheol and any other idol that has had to go through this / is going through this

no one deserves to be wished on a serious injury that will potentially affect their career like this

I'm going to write this now as I'm watching the goodbye stream, to add my two cents and whatnot.

The community has always been a huge part of the project, if we put the actual server aside for one second. The fanart, fanfics, headcannons, theories, comics, analysis, videos, memes, all of it was just as important as the actual players and server happening. The community was as much the lifeblood of the project as the actors involved were, and for that I can give a big thank you to all of you in the QSMP tag reblogging and creating under QSMPblr. I've adored each passing moment here - that including the rougher eras because as a community I've seen very measured responses from people truly passionate about the purpose the QSMP was there to serve - to unite communities.

As I'm watching Quackity talking about the fact that even if the QSMP as a project has ended, his desire in bridging cultural and language gaps is still present and something he wants to continue creating for. So yes, even if the server is currently ending, what has been achieved will forever be present. I'd never even thought that I'd be in a community with so many different nationalities who are not afraid to express themselves in their own languages and cultures, and especially I'd never thought that I'd be eagerly waiting to congratulate mutuals on their national holidays and things like that. In that, it's made me want to get closer to my own culture since I've never really properly grown up where I come from and I think that is something to be cherished.

I'd never thought I'd rekindle my passion for language learning and now be able to watch videos and streams in Spanish to understand the majority of what's being said and laugh along in chat, nevermind that same passion being rekindled or created for thousands of others. We have so many languages here and it's insane to even think about isn't it? People in the community that speak: Portugese, French, English, Spanish, German, Korean and probably more! I've been trilingual for the major part of my life, and have known Italian really well for a long time on top of that, but the QSMP as a whole has opened up my perspective on language like I'd never thought anything could.

THAT BEING SAID. Thank you to the creators involved in the project. It was clear to me as early as from the first days - before the translator - when the creativity and passion of the creators broke through those initial barriers and helped form the meaningful connections we find today. The roleplayers that created stories and characters very near and dear to me are absolutely to be praised, personally, I'd say q!Cellbit, q!Roier and q!Etoiles are my favourite characters to come out of this and those that I will keep creating and blogging about. Every character that came out of this is incredible though, everyone even down to Jorgito the IV drip and Posolito the capybara are utterly, indisputably, definantly: peak. Im greatful to the duos or groups that have emerged thanks to the translator and opportunity, just a few examples being: Cellbit and Roier, Badboy and YD, Pierre and Maximus, Etoiles and Phil, Missa and Phil, Cellbit and Baghera, Tubbo and Pac, etcetera! All of these connections between CCs were really entertaining to watch, and all due to the QSMP.

ALSO THAT BEING SAID. Thank you to the actors behind the scenes doing as much of a part as the streamers themselves. The eggs were all absolutely wonderful as NPCs and breathed life into the server like no other. All of them, all portrayed such different characters with realistic personalities and struggles that to me have always been stupendous at staying in character at all points. Lullah, Chayanne, Richas, Tupperware (Dapper), Patitas de cheto (Bobby), Leo, Tillin, Juanna, Trump, Chunsik, Em, Pepito, Sunny, all of you eggos have made the QSMP an unforgettable experience, and you admins deserve to get recognition. Massive thanks also go to the designers, writers, actors and managers behind the project as well, just as important in keeping the server running and fresh in how it was.

General thanks to the project for achieving what it has. Uniting communities, creating an incredibly story and characters, opening mine and other's eyes to more diverse cultures, rekindling passion for language learning and just so much more shit I could talk about for hours. This server has been an incredible ride, but that doesn't mean I'm leaving it completely.

Of course, the QSMP was by no means perfect and I'm not trying to make it out to be. It has it's issues and I'm completely aware of that. I think the impact and beauty the server has had is something to be celebrated regardless because it's something on a scale not done before.

I'm still going to be here, posting and creating about this SMP even after it closes. I'm still gonna be here posting silly clips and making long posts like this one that will maybe get 5 notes - but that's fine with me. I'm proud to be part of this community and experience as a whole, since Day fucking 1 - and I regret none of it. To all the people I've met over this thank you so much for being the people you are, keep creating and learning.

Synopsis: You're a foreign artist on a tour and during your show in Korea, you met one dancer that seemed to have taken over your thoughts.

You're a pretty famous foreign artist and currently on tour. You were looking forward to going to Korea since it has been a dream ever since you became big in the industry. When you were finally there, you took a whole day to explore and have fun before you started making preparations for your upcoming concert.

You're having some snacks in a café and when you looked out the window, you saw a girl with curly hair along with other women. They seem to be a group of friends who are having fun but you can't stop thinking about the tall one. She's way too cute, very much your type but it's a shame that you'll only be in Korea for a few days before you move to Japan as it's part of your tour. You sighed and pouted a bit, your own thoughts making you sad that you didn't even notice they entered the café you're at until someone from their group approached you with a very happy grin which made you feel happy as well as their smile is contagious.

"Hi Y/N, I'm Mini and I'm a huge fan.. Do you mind if I ask for a picture with you?" the girl, or Mini asked.

"Hiii oh my goodness. I don't mind at all!" you happily said. You took pictures together and she even asked you to sign her phone case, which you did. You invited them to your table to chitchat and get to know her and her friends since that's what you're known for by your fans. You always find time to sit and chat with them.

You learned that they're pretty famous as a crew of dancers and they even invited you to dance with them if you have free time that got you feeling giddy from pure excitement. Haechi couldn't help but be amazed at how beautiful, kind and humble you are. You're this famous artist but you're talking to them like you're just a regular, nothing special kind of person.

"Your hair is so pretty.. I wanted to have that but my manager said no. Still salty about it." Haechi's brain seemed to have stopped working when you complimented her hair. She was smiling like an idiot while a soft blush crept its way to her cheeks that got her team smiling in a knowing fashion as they watched their youngest blush even at the simplest compliment from you.

You hang out with Wolf'lo for the rest of the day, they were nice enough to show you around and they even teach you some basic korean words that you could use to interact with your fans at your concert. You wanted to invite them as your guest acts at your concert but they won't be able to perform due to them competing in a dance competition. You were a bit saddened but they promised to attend your concert so you gave them backstage passes then you parted ways with them since your manager will personally whop your ass if you didn't go back to the hotel you're staying at.

You and Haechi would constantly message each other on instagram whenever you're free. You enjoyed every second you spent talking to her and you even developed a crush on her though you constantly try and remind yourself that you're just staying over her country for a few days so it's not possible for you two to date unless she's in to long distance. You just basked in the attention you're receiving from her.

Unbeknownst to you, Haechi has been feeling the same. Talking to you has been the highlight of her day. She absolutely loved the messaging you, just getting to know you better. Her team has been teasing her for days regarding how close she is becoming to you, some even going as far as telling her to just fess up and ask you for a date before you go off.

The day of your concert came and you were very anxious backstage. You don't know how the Korean crowd will react to your performance and because you just love stressing yourself out by overthinking.

"Hey Y/N!" Haechi waved at you and you couldn't help but blush because one, she looks so cool and hot in her outfit and second, you have realized that you're definitely crushing on her.

"Hiiii I'm so glad you could make it! Where are the others?" you asked and she gave you a hug that calmed your nerves a little bit but got your heart racing from a different feeling that's far from the anxiety of having to perform onstage.

"I wouldn't miss this for the world. Mini and the others will be a little late. Think they're stuck at traffic.." Haechi says and you smiled, nodding your head. You wanted to chat with her some more but you were called by your director, telling you that you're gonna be on stage in a minute. You don't know what came over you but you gave Haechi a kiss on the cheek before running off. Haechi was left there stunned, blushing and holding her cheek which still has your lipstick mark on it. She smiled like an idiot as she saw you run off.

The concert was a blast and you're having so much fun. Performing and then seeing your fans enjoying themselves is what keeps you going. Halfway through the concert, you grabbed your guitar and asked for a chair so you can play more comfortably. You added this little number the last minute so nobody from the audience anticipated it.

"So uhm.. I'm gonna play a song. Well it's not one of mine but from Ms. Taylor Swift. I just wanna play it to get some feelings out of my chest." you spoke and there was a series of 'awww' and little squeals of excitement as you began to play Enchanted on your guitar. All you could think about while singing the song is Haechi, the bittersweet feeling of liking her but you couldn't tell her since you're only there for a limited number of days then you're also not sure if she likes you or not.

I was enchanted to meet you.." you sang your heart out then glanced at the back to see Haechi peeking and you gave her a slight smile while you continued singing.

"Please don't be in love with someone else, please don't have somebody waiting on you.." at that point, you weren't just singing anymore. You're sat there, trying to tell her how you feel and just hoping that maybe she feels the same way as you do.

You continued singing and Haechi couldn't help but feel mesmerized by how good you are and how pretty.. She's just so mesmerized by you. She could swear that her heart broke and melted at the same time when you looked at her as you sang. She could feel every emotion you've put into that song. She wanted to go up there, hug you and hold you close and assure you that she's not in love with someone else but then again, you're this famous star. You're from different backgrounds and she feels like you're meant for someone greater than her.

When you were done with the concert, you immediately ran backstage but was disappointed that Haechi wasn't there anymore. You changed into more comfortable clothes before you hang out with your new found friends and did some pictures with some fans. Maybe it really wasn't meant to be, you and Haechi are not meant to be together. It hurts a bit but you accepted it. Maybe it's for the best.

It was the last night before you're about to head off to another country. You're just packing your stuff and listening to music, you don't really feel like going out since you're a bit sad about leaving and not being able to tell Haechi directly about your feelings or going out on a date with her. You still talk to her but you feel kinda awkward now and just very down.

You were so lost in your own thoughts that you didn't notice someone was knocking on your door until you heard the third set of knocks. You quickly got up and peeked through the peephole to see Haechi, looking nervous as heck. You panicked a bit, you wanted to scream and cry and just hide but you opened the door for her before she can knock again. You looked at her, confused and she looked back at you, a relieved smile on her face before pulling you in for an embrace.

"Thank goodness you're still here.. Chocol and the others told me you're already leaving.." she says, her voice cracking and you rubbed her back gently before guiding her inside. It broke your heart seeing Haechi sad but you couldn't help but feel hope bubble inside you because she came to see you on your last night in her country. It got your hopes up that maybe, just maybe, she feels something for you as well.

"Well I'm actually just packing my stuff. I have to leave to go to the airport at 10 am tomorrow." you told her and she frowned, holding both your hands and kissing your knuckles. She held your hands like she didn't want to let you go.

"I know that there's not enough time for us. You're leaving for your tour and I'm not that selfish to stop you from leaving.. But Y/N I couldn't stop thinking about you. Ever since we met at the café, and especially when you kissed my cheek before your concert. It took every ounce of self restraint to not run up to the stage, hug you, kiss you and assure you that I'm not in love with someone else.. That I'm only in love with you but I was scared. Fear got to me so I left instead. I mean, you're this famous star with so many people lining up to date you and I'm just this dancer from South Korea. You deserve so much better.." Haechi finally confessed and you were stunned for a moment. All this time Haechi was also into you?

You cupped Haechi's cheeks and placed a kiss on her lips. It was soft, it was wonderful but it's also bittersweet. You're sharing your first kiss the night before your scheduled leave. You pulled away and rubbed your thumb on her cheek, smiling.

"If you can just wait for me until the end of this tour, I will come back for you.. I wanna give us a chance, I really do. But if you can't wait for me that long, I'll understand. But know this, what I feel for you is real.. I'm in love with you, Haechi." you told her and she nods, placing a kiss on your lips before embracing you.

"No, wait for me instead. I'm just gonna finish my prior commitments here then I'm gonna follow you where you go. I wanna be with you, no matter how far that is. As long as I'm with you then I'm gonna be okay." she told you, her eyes sincere and you nodded. She spent the night at your hotel room, just you and her cuddling together until sleep claimed both of you in its sweet embrace. Haechi went with you to the airport and before you went off with your team, you ran to her and gave her a kiss. You couldn't care less about people seeing, you don't really care what people are gonna say. All you cared about it Haechi and the love you have for each other. You smiled at her and she kissed your forehead before ushering you to go. You didn't say goodbye because you know for a fact that you're gonna see her again.

You’ve piqued his interest! Will ask you what you mean whenever you switch languages

If you switch because you don’t remember how to say it in the language so you say it in another, he won’t make fun of you and will help you remember the word if you want

“And it was hanging on the ceiling it was bright and pretty—it was… uh-“

“A chandelier?” He asks and becomes happy and says ‘yay’ when you tell him yes

If you like to randomly switch over then he tries to remember the words and also will attempt to pronounce it. He’s very curious and is up to learning if you want to teach him and wouldn’t mind if you tease his pronunciation and would just playfully be mad at you

Kou Minamoto

Be ready to be bombarded with questions about the language and will try to learn it

Stays up at night studying about it so much that it starts to be concerning to Teru and you, and ends up with the two of you having to prey him away from his desk and get some rest

Never shames if you can’t get the exact words right and will never tease you! Might correct you sometimes or will help you remember but never makes fun of you

At some point, he ends up knowing the language pretty well and whenever you’re over at his place, you two end up talking in that language with Teru wanting and begging to know what you two are talking about and Tiara not caring

Nene Yashiro

Thinks your so cool and awesome for knowing/learning another language and looks at you with starry bright eyes with her mouth open in shock

If you can’t remember a word then she’ll try to help, although she might not get it right all the time and it would just end up being a guessing game between the two of you

“Hmmm… is it mirror?” She asks and hums again when you say no as you both wonder what the word could be with your hands under your chin as you both think

She might try to learn the language but she won’t always get it right so don’t make fun of her, her heart won’t be able to take it

She won’t ever make fun of you though! She can’t bear the thought of being mean to you!
