...So. Because French TV is so bad, we apparently made our own Tatort. Yes, literally inspired by Tatort. It's called "Meurtres à..." ("Murders at...") and the first example of episode I see is with a guy, who is NOT an actor, as the main detective. He usually hosts historical TV shows. He's goofy, traditionalist, big time monarchist. Gay, but it's overpowered by the rest. And as an actor, he's just really not good.

But knowing that French public TV, of all things, made its own Tatort... Damn, I have to watch it just to see how catastrophic it is.

like fear itself was a beautifully written masterpiece reflecting the political turmoil of the late 2000s with well crafted in character depictions of my faves kicking ass and like all around an incredible time despite how much absolute despair was in the story, so much so that i wrote TWO different fics about it and about 45k words and still obsess over it to this day

vs ca:sol is a dumpster fire of a comic that im just sitting here like "this had so much potential for interesting characters and development and you chose to do WHAT?" and now i want to get my grubby little hands on it and stick namor and toro and jim in it and clint and natasha actually being caring friends that steve groups up to help his bestie

can you imagine a comic where the central theme of bringing back bucky to his senses and out of his trauma actually featured people who care about bucky and understand his mindset rather than people sympathetic to steve? what the fuck happened to the idea of found family in the avengers, where did it go?

can you imagine panels where it shows bucky slipping out of therapy and slowly being manipulated into going down a darker path rather than just "take us at our word that bucky is suddenly a bad person now" with no actual good reasoning than "the bad guy hurt me now i want revenge" ESPECIALLY after winter soldier 2018?

the theme of "me protecting people still got them killed" could have absolutely been manipulated by a bad person in order to further their own games to get bucky to lean into a more vengeful path, there are narrative choices they are absolutely overlooking that could have made this not ooc

this comic has so much potential and its so disappointing to see it executed in a way that dishonors its main antagonist who has struggled with his trauma for YEARS and suddenly turning him into a villain for no actual explainable reason pisses me the fuck off as a trauma survivor because there are always reasons for this and they didnt give us a good one

whats more is the fact that peggy is actively calling for steve to abandon bucky to himself because he made a choice which is anti-ethical to who steve is as a person and im like who the fuck is writing this comic EVERYONE INCLUDING THE MAIN CHARACTER IS OOC

is anybody else irritated at the widespread fandom nicknaming of Aziraphale and fucking nobody else? is that just me? because it really feels like a "oooh [wince-hisses through teeth], no, that's too long and weird. that's too hard. i'm gonna call you This instead" situation, and i do not care for it. it pissed me off when i was writing good omens fanfic thirteen years ago and it pisses me off now. you care enough about everyone else to get their names right, all the unusual demon and angel monikers, but oh no, Aziraphale, oh that's ten whole letters, that's way too long. oh you're not gonna bother to type all that, no, his name is just Zira now.

and like, he's not real, so this super duper does not matter and isn't deeply and incredibly shitty the way it is when it's directed at real people. but it still rubs me the wrong way every time i see it. that's not his name! why is his name not good enough for you to take the time to type out the way you do for everyone else! ugh.

i was just thinking about boyfriend!jaehyun and how he would spend quality time with you. he would take you out on dinner dates and then he would take you back to his apartment to pour you a glass of red wine while the two of you swayed lightly in the living room listening to some cigarettes after sex songs playing on his vinyl.

you would go on museum dates, art galleries, concerts and he would take pictures of you with his camera to capture each moment, while complimenting you with each pose you stroke.

you would do movie night marathons together, you would spend hours in the kitchen trying to make crêpes following a recipe you found online, even if your attempts failed.

you would sing duets together, jaehyun would strum random chords on his guitar while you hummed random soft melodies on top of the sound.

jaehyun would help you remove your makeup after a long, tiring day and he would let you fall asleep on his chest while he would plant soft kisses on your forehead.

is it an autistic experience to ALWAYS be the one in a friend group who gets left out, alienated, secretly disliked, then kicked out of the group?

i really really love Aziraphale but drawing him is so hard… this took me so much longer than the Crowley portraits i made and i honestly still don’t know how i feel about them
