summer rain | winwin

it's a hot summer's day and you and your boyfriend need to cool off

i didn't want every fic to be winter themed bc i literally have summer in december lol
christmas fic masterlist (2022)
You gasped for air, your fingers gripping the silky sheets beneath you as Winwin rocked his hips against you, letting his length fill you up and repeatedly hitting that spot that made your head spin. Next to the sounds of skin slapping against skin and desperate, breathy moans, the rain poured down outside. The air was hot and sticky. Winwin wasn't used to Summer in December, so you took the opportunity to take him on a little vacation. But maybe fucking in 40 degree weather was the best and worst idea you two had.
He continued to ram himself into you, his hands rested on either side of your head as he leaned over to pepper your neck with weak kisses. You gripped onto your arms, your eyes fluttering open as you looked towards the glass sliding doors next to the bed. The rain pelted down from the bright, orange tinted sky, drenching the porch.
"Faster, I'm so close." You murmured to him, squeezing your eyes closed as your body became restless.
Winwin, as silent as he was, always obliged with no complaints. He rode out both of your climaxes, letting his body go limp on top of you once he pulled out.
"Babe, its too hot." You complained, trying to get him roll over as the feeling of your hot, sticky bodies was becoming too much.
"Let's go cool off then." He muttered lazily, rolling off you to lay on his stomach, his face buried in the pillow.
"And if you try for round 2 in the shower I'll kick you out." You joked, sitting up to pull your underwear back on and throwing on an oversized shirt.
"I have a better idea." Winwin hummed as he also tiredly pulled on some clothes, still lying flat on his back on the bed.
"Hmm? I'm listening." You nodded, taking a swig of the water on your bedside table.
"Let's go play in the rain." Winwin suggested as if it were the most normal request he'd ever made. You'd never call your boyfriend boring, but he wasn't the most spontaneous person on the planet so that definitely came out of nowhere.
"Are you serious?" Your eyes moving between him and the rain pouring down outside.
"I saw it in a movie and it was cute." He explained himself nonchalantly, already making his way to the sliding door and cracking it open.
The cool air immediately engulfed the entire room and the feeling was heavenly. Winwin stepped out onto the porch and you followed him. You took in a breath of fresh air, sprinkles of rainwater bouncing onto your skin as you both were still protected by the patio cover. Before Winwin could react, you grabbed hold of his hand and pulled him towards the grass. You both were immediately drenched in rain, laughing and trying to rub the water out of your eyes. Winwin pulled you into an embrace and you had no reason to push away. He pressed a kiss to your lips, both of you smiling into it.
"Feeling better?" He hummed, his face still just a finger space away from yours.
"Much, much better."

Part One
***
As with every day before this one, you were given a simple task: clean the library. Only, what should have been easy, and only have taken you a few hours at most, turned into one of the most difficult assignments you’ve ever had.
Normally, when you go to do your work, you’re by yourself, or joined by other palace servants to help in whatever task you’ve been sent to do that day. Only, today, when you were told you were going to be alone in the library while you worked, you had walked in on not one, but two of your king’s friends sitting by the large bay windows. They had been leaning into each other, voices low so as not to be overheard, but still, the frowns on their faces had made it seem as if they were arguing about something, or rather, someone.
“Your Majesty, Your Highness,” you greet with a bow towards each of them in turn.
King Ten smiles warmly at you as Prince Yangyang moves to stand.
“What brings you to the library today?” Yangyang asks, sounding casual but in reality wanting to keep you here for as long as he can.
You blink, not used to being acknowledged by other royals like this. Well, other than when King Ten and the rest of Kun’s friends visit. They all seem to be the only ones who treat you like a person. It’s just been so long since you’ve last seen them, you’ve forgotten what it feels like.
“Please, do not mind me,” you bow once more. “I will do my best not to disturb you while I clean.”
Ten frowns slightly, “do you ever get time off from your duties?”
“Oh, yes!” You reply politely. “My King give all of his servants ample time to themselves, especially in the evenings.”
There are those words again. Your King. They both scowl.
“Which means you should be able to accompany me for dinner tonight if you have the evening free.” King Xiaojun says, appearing from around the corner of one of the shelves, moving to lean against it in the next moment with his arms crossed casually in front of his chest. “That is, if you’ll join me, of course.”
“Perhaps they would like to accompany me instead,” King Sicheng says, his voice nearly startling you as you turn to see him approaching you from behind. “I was planning on dining in the gardens this evening.”
The smile he sends you is soft, but to the other three, it appears as calculated as his statement. Each of them have done their research on you, of course, and they all know you enjoy spending some of your free time in the gardens. They still haven’t forgiven Prince Lucas for sending you an arrangement of your favourite flowers before they could themselves.
“That does sound lovely,” you hum, and your words have Sicheng’s smile widening, only for it to fall in the next second, “but I'm afraid I'll have to decline Your Majesty’s offers. I must complete my tasks for the day and I'm afraid I will not be finished in time for the evening meals.”
“You mean you’re going to clean right through supper?” Prince Yangyang asks in disbelief.
“It really isn’t good to be skipping meals,” Ten adds with a frown.
“Oh, no!” You’re quick to reassure them all at the concerned looks they throw your way. “The cooks always set aside meals for the staff when they have to work late. One of them will be me, today.”
Just then, you hear the doors to the library open and three sets of footsteps entering the room. As soon as you lock eyes with the king, you bow deeply.
“Your Highnesses. My King.” You straighten as Kun stops a few feet away from you, book held in his hand as both Prince Hendery and Prince Lucas flank him on either side. “I will get started on cleaning the library right away.”
“Were these punks bothering you?” Kun asks, tone teasing to you, but pointed to the other royals in the room. “I cannot have you near my staff if all you’re going to do is bother them as they try to do their jobs.”
“Oh, no, My King,” you shake your head, quick to defend them. “None of Their Majesty’s or Their Highnesses could ever be a bother to me.”
Kun doesn’t fail to miss the way the four males in front of him smirk, and he’d bet everything the other two behind him are as well.
“Alright,” he sighs. “But if they are, tell me and I'll kick them out.”
You bow to him once more, scurrying off in the next moment to begin your task of cleaning the library.
About an hour passes and you manage to to have cleaned a large portion when you finally move back to the main section of the library. All seven royals are still there, sitting around in the lounges. Some converse with one another, while a few read leisurely. You notice both Kun and Ten have a small stack of books resting beside them each.
Setting your attention back onto the task at hand, you don’t even register Hendery approaching you until he’s practically standing right beside you. You jump.
“Your Highness,” you blink at him with wide eyes, “you startled me.”
“My apologies,” Prince Hendery chuckles.
“Stop terrorizing my staff,” Kun chastises from the lounge he’s currently sitting on.
Hendery simply rolls his eyes, making you chuckle. Of course, he can feel the six sets of eyes glaring holes into his back at this fact, but the smugness he feels at being able to make you laugh is worth it every time.
Acting casual, Hendery pretends to browse some of the titles in front of him. Of course, he’s not going to let you know the real reason he came over was to talk to you, and be near you, even though the others can tell that that was exactly his intention. They only wish they had been quick enough to do so themselves.
Trailing a finger along the shelf, Hendery hums. “You clean exceptionally well.”
“I should hope so,” you huff out a breath through your nose as you reply without thinking, “that’s my job.”
The library, which had been silent before, now fills with a deadly tension, as if the fall of a pin could set off a catastrophe at any moment. You can feel all eyes on you now, and you straighten.
You clear your throat, “I mean-”
Before you can even rush out an apology for talking back to the prince, you hear three sets of laughter erupt from behind you. Turning around, you see both King Ten and Prince Yangyang doubled over in their seats while King Xiaojun throws his head back in his. Even King Kun cannot seem to fight the way his lips curve upwards at your response.
“I meant,” Hendery flushes, “you always do an extraordinary job.”
You avert your gaze to the floor, embarrassment causing your voice to come out smaller than you intend. “Thank you, Your Highness.”
Hendery smiles, but before he can say anything, Prince Lucas is beating him to it.
“Really, you are incredible,” he adds. “It’s been, what? An hour and you’re already halfway done?”
“I wouldn’t say that,” your face heats, shifting slightly in your spot.
“Really, my own staff could learn a thing or two from you,” Ten adds.
“Agreed.” Yangyang hums.
“You should come work for me, instead.” Xiaojun voices casually, turning a page in his book. His words, which sound like a playful quip to you, couldn’t be more pointed towards the other six.
“I think they are quite happy where they are right now,” Kun chimes in, not even raising his gaze from the book in his hands.
“I think they can speak for themselves,” Sicheng smiles, again, kindly at you, calculated towards the others.
“My King is right,” you nod in confirmation. “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
Your words make Kun’s heart absolutely soar in his chest, a bashful smile taking over his features as the other six turn to shoot him looks of either disbelief, or glare at him.
“Why does he make you refer to him like that?” Yangyang asks the question on all of their minds.
“Like what, Your Highness?” You tilt your head slightly in curiosity.
“We’ve never once heard you address him as ‘Your Majesty’, or anything else,” Lucas says casually, even though he (and the other five) are hanging onto every word.
“Are you asking me why I refer to My King as ‘My King’?” Your brow furrows, and Ten nearly scoffs at the question you pose.
Well, when you put it like that...
“Yes,” Hendery confirms with a nod. “We're just curious, is all.”
Looking towards Kun, you meet his gaze which is suddenly on you as he peers over the top of his book. Subtly, he nods his head, as if encouraging you to answer.
So you do.
“Because that’s what he is.” You reply simply. “He is My King.”
Xiaojun’s eyes narrow, having noticed this small interaction between the both of you. He scoffs. “A king who not only forces you to address him as such, but who needs to give you permission to speak as well.”
Kun’s eyes narrow at King Xiaojun across from him.
“If you were to come live with me, you’d never have to abide by those types of stupid rules again,” Ten voices, and all heads, including your own, turn to look at him. “You could address whoever, however you wanted. You could speak your mind freely without having to seek permission to do so.”
At this, Kun slams his book closed, but your voice halts him in his tracks, calming the storm raging just beneath the surface of his skin.
“You all think I refer to him as ‘My King’ because he makes me do so? That I need his permission to speak my mind?” The disbelief in your tone has them blinking in surprise at you.
“Then why do you do such things if he does not command you to do so?” Sicheng could not be more confused as he meets your gaze.
“Why?” You reply, incredulously, and your next words have Kun’s chest swelling with pride while the others look on with envy clear in their gazes. “Because I respect him.”

Request for Anon (Yandere King Hendery) 4.8k, yandere, near-death experience, poison, drowning, angst
“Are you alright, my love?”
“As if you care.”
One minute you were in the library reading peacefully, when suddenly you began to feel ill. You stood up to call for help, and that’s when everything went dark. Now you were regaining your senses, finding yourself lying in bed, Hendery at your side, holding your hand. Once you were properly conscious you pulled away from him, trying to sit up.
“What happened?”
“You tell me, my love. Don’t try to get up.” Hendery said. “You’re still recovering.”
“From what?”
“I’m not sure. There hasn’t been word yet from the physician, but do tell me, what happened?”
“I don’t know. I was fine, and then I wasn’t.”
“One of your ladies found you collapsed on the floor, seizing up a bit.”
“I don’t remember any of that.”
“My love, you are burning up with a fever.” Hendery forced you to lay back down. “You need to rest.”
“No, I need-”
“Your majesty.”
The royal physician entered your chambers, along with your lady, Misu. She came over to your bed side, checking you over as the physician spoke.
“My examination shows that her majesty was poisoned. Something in the food perhaps-”
“Poison! Who would dare harm my queen?”
“I do not have those answers. All I’ve discovered is that the poisoning is possibly a result of two ingredients mixing together in the food. This could be a coinci-”
“Perhaps. I need to know exactly what type of poison this is.”
“Given that her majesty did not finish her meal, the effects were minimal. She’ll make a full recovery.”
“Very well, continue looking into this and report to me any new discoveries.”
“Yes, your majesty.”
At that time the royal physician took their leave, although you were still processing. You couldn’t believe someone had actually tried to kill you, after everything you’ve been through.
“Leave.” Hendery stated. “Now.”
Misu only hesitated for a moment before quickly removing herself from the room. You were lost in your own thoughts until you felt Hendery reaching for your hand. You pulled away and glared at him.
“I never thought you’d resort to such methods.”
“Funny, I was about to say the same thing to you.”
“Is that so?” Hendery chuckled. “You can’t escape me that easily, my love.”
“Excuse me? Do you think I tried to kill myself?”
“It wouldn’t be the first time you’ve tried to leave me. Perhaps you thought to try a more permanent method.”
“As if I would leave you my kingdom.”
“And how many times have you tried running from it now?”
“Seven, and I wasn’t running away from my kingdom. I was trying to gain my freedom so I could come up with a proper plan to get rid of you!”
“And you expect me to believe that? To me it just seems like you miscalculated something.” Hendery smiled. “Lucky me.”
“I did not try to kill myself! Someone just tried to kill me! Shouldn’t you be actually concerned here?”
“My love, as if anyone would dare to do such a thing. You are beloved by your people and me, no one holds a grudge against you.”
“Don’t you?”
“The two of us have what you would call, tough love.”
“Loveless is a more accurate term.”
“Regardless, it seems I must be keeping a closer eye on you.”
“What?”
“Once you’re feeling better you shall be moved to my chambers. It’s best you stay close to me so I can make sure you don’t hurt yourself.”
“Someone tried to kill me! You should be investigating!”
“You want me to frame someone for your crimes? No, no, no, none of that.” Hendery took your hand. “We’ll just say you had an allergic reaction and move on.”
“I did not try to kill myself! And I’ll prove it.”
“Very well, if that’s what you wish to entertain yourself with as you recover, but it doesn’t change my mind.”
Hendery called for Misu, telling her to bring you some medication so you could get some rest. Once she returned he excused himself. Misu made sure you took your medicine and helped you get comfortable. You slowly drifted off, even if you were worried about someone making a move again, you were certain Hendery would at least do well to keep an eye on you. When you woke up later you saw that the sun was still out.
“Your majesty, how are you feeling?”
“Uh… the same… has there been an update?”
“Not yet. Although his majesty requested you be moved to his chambers once you woke if your situation had not worsened. There are guards here to escort you.”
“Of course… he’s persistent.”
You needed help getting out of bed, but you managed to stand. There was no way you were going to walk, so Misu helped you, another one of your ladies helping you as well. It was annoying and not helpful to be moving rooms, but you didn’t need Hendery throwing a fit. You settled into his bed, remembering the time when you slept here willingly. Although you didn’t want to think about that, you had other things to worry about.
“Misu, I need you to do something for me.”
“Yes, your majesty, what can I do for you?”
“I need a list of all the kitchen staff, along with their duties and years of experience.”
“The entire kitchen staff? That’s going to be a long list.”
“I know.”
“Very well then, I shall gather that information for you as quickly as I can.”
“Thank you.”
Even if your recovery was important, you needed to find out who tried to kill you. They had failed in their attempts, so they could try again, and most of all you knew Hendery’s words were true. You couldn’t see your kingdom hating you, as far as you knew no one had a problem with you, which made this all the more concerning. You stayed in bed, thinking things over when the smell of food interrupted your thoughts.
“Feeling better, my love?” Hendery entered with some servants. “You need to eat to recover your strength so I thought I’d join you.”
You had help sitting up, a tray was placed on the bed so the food would be easily accessible to you. Hendery watched you for a moment, not speaking until you two were alone.
“Are you not hungry?”
“Someone tried to kill me, they poisoned my food. Why would I-”
“On this again, are we?”
“I’m not lying.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Clearly, it’s starting to make me think you tried to kill me.”
“Why would I ever do that?”
“Because you got what you wanted, no reason to keep me around.”
“I went through a lot of trouble to get you, my love. All I wanted was you, the kingdom was a bonus.” Hendery offered you a smile. “It was very fortunate your father accepted me as I am. I feared he wouldn’t as I had nothing to offer, but my love. I suppose that’s what won him over in the end.”
“How unfortunate for him, and me.”
“My love, I know you don’t hate me. We would not be here if that was the case.”
“I’m here because of your lies.”
“I’ve never lied to you. My feelings remain the same even if you blame me for your parents death.”
“I know you killed them, and you’re trying to get rid of me too.”
“My love.” Hendery got up, a smile still present on his lips as he grabbed your face, looking down on you. “As much as you wish to blame me for the tragedies of your life, you have no proof I did anything. I love you even if your heart is confused at the moment. You’ll come back to me on your own, one way or another, so don’t look at me with hateful eyes. I would never make an attempt on your life, so get that idea out of your head.”
Hendery placed a kiss on your head, letting you go. He took a bite of your food and sat back down at your bedside.
“See, the food is fine. Eat.”
You were still weary, but also hungry at this point. Although before you made an attempt, Misu returned.
“Your majesty I have-” She quickly stopped, realizing you weren’t alone. “Apologies, your majesty, I didn’t realize-”
“What do you have there?”
Hendery held his hand out and Misu handed over the list of kitchen staff. He looked it over with a chuckle.
“You’re really going to look into this?”
“You said I could while I recover, or in your words, entertain myself.”
“I see, but you do realize this is pointless.”
“What?”
“We eat the same things everyday, my love. Even if we aren’t together. The food we have is cooked in the same pots and pans. If the food has been poisoned in the process of being made, then I would have been affected too. I’m fine so-”
“It was a targeted attack… which means someone added something to the food after it was prepared.”
“Like yourself.”
“Or the poison was meant for you and it was added to the wrong plate.”
“…”
“Are you starting to believe me?”
“I’m not sure… Misu, come here.”
“Huh? Me?”
“Now.”
Misu stepped closer to Hendery, flustered and shy. He held his hand out and she eventually understood to give him her arm. She did so and he pulled her close, checking her pulse.
“Look at me and tell me, did my queen ask you to do anything bad?”
“You can’t be-”
“I’m not speaking to you right now, my love.” Hendery grabbed Misu’s chin and had her meet his eyes. “Did you do anything bad?”
“Nu… no, your majesty.”
“My queen didn’t ask you to do anything vile?”
“No, nothing like that.”
“I see. You may go.”
“Yes, your majesty.”
Misu hurried out of the room, and you made a note to check on her later. You were certainly annoyed now.
“That was unnecessary. Did you even get your answer?”
“I’m not certain… regardless, the royal physician informed me they could not identify the poison as your food has already been disposed of.”
“You-”
“Are on your own for this. I don’t believe anyone would try to hurt you, or me, but if you’re going to blame anyone you better have solid proof.”
“Fine, but let’s make one thing clear. Just as you say you wouldn’t try to kill me, I won’t be leaving of my own will. I’m going to take my kingdom back, and watch you burn.”
Hendery scoffed. “I’ll look forward to that. Now eat. I oversaw the whole process so I assure you nothing is wrong.”
“…”
“Or do I have to feed you myself?”
You were still upset with him, practically always, but you ate with him. If he said it wasn’t poisoned, you could believe that from his twisted love.
“See, that wasn’t bad was it. Take your medication and rest.”
“You said you oversaw this being cooked, right?”
“Yes, my love.”
“What happened when it was finished?”
“Hm… our plates were prepared and placed on a tray. From there the servants grabbed them and followed me to my chambers.”
“The servants were on standby?”
“Yes.”
“Are they always like that?”
“I can’t say. I was only there today.”
“And they grab the trays as soon as the food is ready?”
“It seems so, why?”
“Then if something was added to the food, it was done once it left the kitchen, and before reaching me.”
“You’re very cute with your investigation. So don’t cause trouble.”
“No promises.”
“Of course.”
Hendery kissed your head and excused himself. A moment later the servants came in to take the dishes, Misu checking over you.
“Misu.”
“Yes, your majesty?”
“Are you alright? He shouldn’t have-”
“I’m alright, your majesty. I was a bit caught off guard by the request, but I did not lie.”
“I still must apologize, you shouldn’t be treated that way.”
“I’m okay, just worried about you.”
“I must also apologize, as I need you to do something else for me.”
“How can I help you, your majesty?”
“You went through the trouble of getting the kitchen staff list, but it seems I’ve miscalculated.”
“What do you mean?”
“There’s no way of knowing what kind of poison was used on me, but it wasn’t the food itself that harmed me. Therefore the kitchen staff is most likely not the culprit, meaning it’s another servant.”
“I don’t believe I follow.”
“The kitchen is already so busy as it is, so it’s highly unlikely one of them did something… do you think you could figure out what servants came in contact, or near my food the other day. I know most of the have certain roles and routines to follow. I want the names of those, and maybe ask around to see if anyone saw anything odd.”
“Ah, I will do my best, your majesty.”
“Thank you.”
With that set up you took your medicine and laid down to rest. The next time you opened your eyes, you realized it was dark out, and you weren’t alone. You found yourself wrapped up in Hendery’s arms, his warmth keeping you comfortable and calm. Although upon realizing this you squirmed out of his grasp, waking him up in the process.
“Are you alright, my love? Do you-”
“Don’t touch me.”
Hendery sighed. “It’s late, lay back down and sleep.”
“Not with you.”
“I said I would be keeping a close eye on you. That includes the night.”
“We don’t have to sleep in the same bed.”
“But we do.” Hendery pulled you back down. “And I’ve missed you.”
“I haven’t.”
“Lies, my love, and you know it.”
He cuddled you, spooning you and holding you close. He was still warm, just as before. You hated how your thoughts drifted to the past. The nights like this, as he’d drown you in soft kisses to help you sleep. His words of love slowly turned to whispers and fading to mumbles as he fell asleep. You thought he was everything, and now you just felt so alone.
“You really think I tried to kill myself?”
“Who would dare harm you?”
“Everyone has secrets.”
“But not just anyone would be bold enough to poison the queen. If you really think someone did that, you can’t just look for evidence, you need to know why.”
“Add this to the list of reasons you’re a terrible husband.”
“What else is on that list?”
“Your lies, your manipulation, you-”
“I did what was best for you.”
“I disagree.”
“So you’d prefer an arranged marriage with a man you didn’t know? Simply for power? I don’t think I could allow that.”
“It was not your job to look after me.”
“But I’ve done so.”
“If that was true you’d look for who tried to kill me. Before they try again.”
“You get lucky once, and they blew it. I won’t allow them another chance, even if that someone is you.”
“You’re ridiculous.”
“And you can rest easy in my arms.”
“I don’t think I can.”
“Yes you can. Like I said, I won’t let anyone harm you. I will always love you, no matter what.”
You didn’t want to sleep, but your illness, and his warmth just made it so easy to drift off. Even if your mind was logical and understanding of your displeasure for your husband, your body and heart remembered him well, and could only accept him. When morning came you were still in his arms, snuggled against him like old times. The realization quickly made you move away. It seemed that Hendery had been awake for a while, watching you sleep and waiting for you to wake. He had you stay in bed as he went to oversee breakfast, returning later.
You felt better, but not entirely back to your old self. So you remained in bed and carried out your investigation from there. You’d take your medicine, and Hendery always returned to share your meals, assuring you each and every time the food was safe. Misu got you the list you had requested, along with some information to narrow down the suspects. You needed to speak with each of these people, to get a better idea as to whether or not they were guilty. You would move down to the main hall to conduct these interviews, taking notes of anything you felt odd.
“Still entertaining yourself I see.”
“What do you want?”
Hendery found you in the main hall, bringing over a chair to sit at your side, peeking at your notes. He still found what you were doing amusing.
“Any suspects?”
“Not particularly. Everyone seems to be hiding something, not surprising as the castle is huge, but no one seems that nervous around me.” You sighed. “I got nothing.”
“Just-”
“Don’t make a comment about me trying to frame someone.”
“I was going to say, just take a break. I’m sure something will come to mind once you look at it with a clear head.”
“Are you gonna help?”
“This seems to be your personal mission. I don’t want to interfere.”
“Of course not.”
It took you two days to get through your list, and you felt like you had gotten nowhere. To add to the despair, you weren’t really feeling better. You could get out of bed and go about your day, but you’d get headaches and fatigue quite fast. If anything, it told you that whatever was used on you had lasting effects, so maybe the assassin hadn’t entirely failed.
“Your majesty, the bath is ready.”
“Thank you, Misu.”
The warm water did well to sooth you and make you feel better despite everything. You felt you hadn’t gotten anywhere with your investigation, and had no idea what to do next. Still, for now you should rest and try again later. You closed your eyes and let yourself feel the warm water. It was really relaxing, and the aroma in the room was soothing as well. You could feel yourself falling asleep and sinking into the water. A half baked thought surfaced, making you aware of the problem, but you didn’t have the strength to do anything.
Slowly the water rose until you were completely under it. You felt like you were floating, and it was quite peaceful, until you ran out of oxygen. You couldn’t do anything to call for help, merely trying to reach up to the surface, but your vision was already going black. You thought this might be it, starting to accept that when your vision was suddenly white and you were inhaling a mixture of water and air. You coughed up the water, realizing you had surfaced, shaking from the shock.
“I got you, I got you.”
It took a moment to realize Hendery was holding you, Misu making a fuss about him getting wet and also helping to get you out of the water. She handed Hendery a towel and he wrapped you up with it, trying to dry you off. He ordered Misu to get the physician, staying with you and trying to warm you up.
“You’re alright, you’re alright.”
“I… I…”
“Sh, don’t speak, just breath, nice and easy. You’re okay.”
You were still coughing up some water, trying to regain your breath and sense. Hendery merely held you tight, gently rocking you and assuring you were alright. You had no idea what happened to you, besides the fact the assassin had made another move.
“Hendery…”
“You’re alright, my love.”
“Do you still… think it was… me…”
“I never did.”
“Huh?”
“Sh, just focus on your recovery, you don’t have to worry about anything else.”
You had questions, but you couldn’t quite articulate them. Once you were good to move, Hendery picked you up and took you to his chambers, setting you down on the bed, not caring if you were still soaked. He got another towel to help dry you up properly, finding some of your clothes to dress you and then wrapping you up in a blanket. You were still shaking, not from the water but just everything. Your thoughts led to fear, and you didn’t feel safe with anyone besides Hendery, the only person you could trust wouldn’t do anything. You didn’t even want to see the physician, and Hendery had to tell them to leave.
“My love, you need to-”
“No… no one…”
“I need to be certain you’re alright.”
“You do it…”
“You trust me? I thought you hated me?”
“You’re… you’re the only one… I can trust… right now…”
“Then please give me a moment to figure out what I need to look for.”
“Okay…”
You pulled the blanket around you tighter once Hendery left, quietly counting to yourself to distract yourself until he returned. He did best to check all your vitals and make sure nothing was wrong.
“What happened?”
“I… I don’t know… I was fine… then tired… and… and…”
“That’s enough. I’ll have this looked into and find the culprit.”
“So you… you believe me…”
“Of course. I just need more evidence.”
“Then… you… used me… as bait…”
“The first time was too clean. There was barely any evidence left behind. I would have lost you if I hadn’t been so fortunate.”
“Why… why…”
“Sh, don’t concern yourself. I’ll handle everything. Here, I went down to prepare you some tea so you can sleep.”
“You won’t leave… right…”
“No. I will stay right here, my love.”
Hendery helped you with the tea, making sure you had every last drop before laying you down. He tucked you in under the covers, lying down at your side. You curled up, still thinking about what happened. The first incident you had no idea what was happening, but this time around, you could feel your life slipping away. Hendery could see the gears turning in your head, reaching over to gently pet you.
“You’re okay, everything’s okay, no one’s going to hurt you.”
“You’ll find… who did this…”
“I will, I promise.”
Even if you didn’t really want to sleep, the tea and your own exhaustion was starting to wear you down. You slowly drifted off to sleep, only able to rest for a bit before waking up in a  fright. You thought you would be alone, but Hendery was right at your side, pulling you into his arms. He gently rocked you in his arms while rubbing your back, once again assuring you things were alright.
“I see the tea didn’t work for long.”
“I’m fine…”
“I know, I know.”
“I don’t think I can sleep…”
“That’s alright, we can just stay up together.”
“Okay…”
It was getting dark out, but you didn’t feel tired. Hendery asked for some books, and his own things to be brought to his chambers. You both stayed on the bed, quietly providing each other company. Even if you were on high alert, you didn’t expect Hendery to stay awake for long, eventually finding him asleep on the bed. You watched him for a moment, your hand unconsciously reaching over to run your fingers through his hair. You quickly stopped yourself when you realized what you were doing.
A near death experience, your second, should not be a time to rekindle old feelings. Let alone considering all he had done to become king and take your kingdom from you. He wasn’t someone to forgive. You were still decent, cleaning up and making sure he could rest comfortably. You did your best not to wake him, just remaining at his side and trying to read, your thoughts drifting off to what happened. Before you knew it the sun had risen, and a new day had begun. You were staring out the window and you didn’t realize Hendery waking up.
“My love…”
“You’re awake.”
“Did you not sleep?”
“I couldn’t.”
“My apologies, you should have woken me.”
“One of us should rest.”
“I suppose. You must be hungry, I’ll have breakfast prepared.”
“I’m not hungry…”
“I know that’s a lie. You may have no appetite but your body needs to remain healthy.”
“…”
“Then do you want to wrap this up?”
“What? What do you mean?”
“Come on, I’ll show you.”
Hendery helped you dress in something comfortable, disregarding usual clothing traditions, and going down to the main hall with you. He had yet to tell you anything, but you were just waiting quietly. If he was going to tell you something he should have done it in his chambers where you had privacy, so this did concern you. Although it was just the two of you as he had the guards leave the room.
“You asked to see me, your majesty.”
Misu quietly entered the room, bowing to both of you after a slight pause. When she entered you looked over at Hendery, but he just had an amused look in his eyes.
“Why did you do it?”
“Pardon… I don’t-”
“What poison did you use?”
“Wa… what?”
“Answer me.”
“Hendery.” You hissed. “What are you-”
“My love, you are quite beautifully naive. There is only one person who could hurt you, but you never even considered the possibility because you trust them so much.”
“No, no, you-”
“You figured out it couldn’t be the actual kitchen staff, so it had to be someone who had access to your food after it was prepared. None of the servants you spoke to raised any concern, and none would have a reason to harm you.”
“And why would Misu? She has been my faithful servant since I was a child. Why would she-”
“Why indeed, that’s what I would like to know.”
“You can’t-”
“Misu is the one who’s supposed to try the food to make sure it’s safe, isn’t that right, my love?”
“I…”
“If you had finished your plate you would have surely passed, and it wasn’t Misu who found you, was it?”
“No…”
“Everyone has their secrets as you said, and when I interrogated Misu her heart was racing. Not because of my questions, but something else. Do you care to explain yourself?”
“Your majesty, I don’t-”
“Do not lie to me!” Hendery rose to his feet. “You are lucky to be breathing right now. I should have struck you down already, but you are alive right now to explain yourself. So tell me, why did you dare to harm my queen!”
Misu was at a loss for words, looking between you and Hendery. You weren’t sure what to believe, trying to make sense of all the pieces Hendery had just dropped in your lap. Although you didn’t have to ponder for long as Misu fell to her news, bowing down.
“How could I not do something, your majesty!”
“Mi… Misu… what…”
“I do not know the reason why the queen has grown to hate you, but I cannot stand it!”
“Ah… do you… have feelings for me?” Hendery questioned. “Are your actions some declaration of love?”
“She does not love or cherish you, it’s unfair for you to suffer in such a manner.”
Hendery chuckled, slowly walking over to Misu. He knelt down, grabbing her chin so their eyes would meet.
“I can see love in your eyes. I always thought that was admiration, I am your king after all, but this is something much deeper. You’d do anything for me, huh? Even kill.”
“Your-”
“It’s a shame. You could have been useful, but you chose to harm my queen, and I cannot allow you to live any longer.”
“Your majesty, please.” Misu begged. “I did poison the queen, but the incident with the bath was not my doing, I am not-”
Hendery was no longer listening, returning to his throne and grabbing his sword. Your eyes went wide, having not realized he would be taking matters into his own hands like this. You thought to stop him, but when you stood, the shock of everything cause you to collapse.
“Hendery-”
You closed your eyes before you saw anything that could never be unseen. You were shaking again, scared to open your eyes. You heard the sword clatter to the ground, a presence slowly approaching. You felt Hendery caress your cheek.
“Look at me, my love.”
You slowly opened your eyes, locking your gaze with his. You didn’t want to see anything else. He had a bit of blood on his face, but he seemed content.
“Are you alright?”
“I… I…”
“You don’t have to worry anymore. I took care of everything, like I promised.”
“But… but…” Misu’s last words started to hit you. “She said she didn’t… the bath… if she…”
“That’s nothing to worry about. She was just saying whatever she could to save herself, but her fate was sealed the second she hurt you.”
“Did you… did you have something to do with-”
“Sh, I know this was probably a lot for you, but I needed you to know that you’re safe. I’ll get you a new maid, and make sure nothing like this ever happens again.”
“I… Hendery…”
“It’s okay, everything’s okay now, my love. You’re safe.”
“… am I…”
“Of course, you have me, and that’s all you need.”

winwin misogonist??
why nct always have to be at the crime scene? lmao. before some of yall dragged winwin, you should do research first before insulting winwin.
first of all, nct has a lot of feminist members like yuta, taeyong, doyoung etc proved a lot of times their views on feminism, and yuta is the most educated one on topic?? just the way he was fast to react when hendery asked “how much you weight?” when johnny was pretending to be a princess. yuta said “no, don’t ask lady such a questions.” i believe off camera there were a lot of moments when he was correcting members etc. when they did something like that. also, members know each other for a long time, when being around yuta could be very educational for them. i believe that winwin also knows that, and is eductated at some level about this.
second of all, video is out of context, and some of yall really can’t read. while you will watch whole video there is moment when one of hosts called liuyan was talking about how her mother in law was making her make food for her son=boyfriend of liuyan, and winwin said “how dare her?/why would she ask you? why didn’t you break up with him?”, which shows that winwin isn’t agreeing with stereotypes of woman in asia (making food for their man, basically seving your boyfriend). also, winwin was describing plot of the book that his sister recommended to him. also in chapter forty one of this books there is description:
Men may forget gf's birthday, accidently calling ex's name &forget these mistakes. But women can't forget the hurts they felt. When they had a fight, women will recall his mistakes. Women not only remember his mistakes also his good deeds.
which is basically similiar to what winwin says. notice how winwin didn’t agree with anything or something, he was just desribing plot.
also, if winwin really did something bad then he would be all over on weibo, because everytime chinese idol do something bad, people on weibno are fast to react and there would be ton of articles, but there is none. so he wasn’t misogonist, some people took it out of context and run with it.
also i get informations from @yunqi_world on twitter, and if you go to their page you can read the whole thing when winwin support women/femminist actions, breaking the stereotypes etc.

Your son walked through the halls of the large house, he held a toy car in one hand and in his other hand he had a Spider-Man action figure. He walked quietly, looking around for you, looking in every room he passed by. Then he comes to a stop when he’s in front of the large wooden doors.
“D-Daddy’s study…” He talks quietly as he moves closer to the door.
He puts his ear to the door trying to hear for anything then he puts one of his toys down and reaches for the handle. He just wants to see if you’re there.
“What are you doing?” Sicheng speaks from behind the boy.
Your son quickly turns around too see his father looking down at him with a mean glare.
“Who said you can come to my study?” Sicheng furrows his brows.
“I- I-“
“You what?!” Sicheng’s voice booms.
You jump when you hear Sicheng shout, you hear it from the bedroom, fear runs through you when it hits you, Sicheng was yelling at your defenseless child and you were just lounging in bed.
Your legs were weak, between them your core was throbbing with pain, Sicheng was angry at something, you don’t know what, but the only way he was able to relax was by making you take all of him weather you were prepped or not. You wince as you force yourself off the bed, pushing your sundress down to cover yourself. Sicheng shouts again and you whimper forcing yourself to leave the room. You limp as you try to move as quick as you can down the hall, looking for your son and Sicheng.
When you find them Sicheng grabs the boy’s arm and lifts his hand, balling it into a fist.
“No!” You shout as you run to your son, not caring if you were in pain now.
You grab Sicheng’s hand and Sicheng looks back at you. The look he has in his eyes is frightening. You look at your son and his cheeks are red and his eyes are filled with tears, he’s hiccuping and crying at the same time and you can’t help but push Sicheng away with all the strength you had. Sicheng backs away and you drop to your knees in front of your son, taking him into your arms.
He cries hard as he’s pulled into you, his tiny hands grab onto the fabric of your clothes and you hug his tightly holding him.
“M’ s-sowwy, Mommy, ‘M sowwy.” He cries out, burying his face into your chest.
“It’s okay, baby.” You whisper, tears falling from your eyes.
“Y/n.” Sicheng speaks, “Move from him.”
You shake your head, quietly, not wanting to look at the man who made your child cry. You were furious, you were full of hatred towards Sicheng. You wished you never met him, you wished you never agreed to be with him. Damn him, Damn him and his sadistic life style. Why couldn’t he be a normal man who cared for you who loved you, who loved y/s/n. He was his father after all.
“I’m not going to say it again, Y/n.” His voice drops.
You wince as you let your son go to stand up, your son sticks to your side, turning away from his father. He’s more calm now, but he’s still hiccuping. He holds onto you and you hold him, resting one hand on his back. You courageously face Sicheng and you wipe your tears away with one hand.
“I’m not going to move, Sicheng.” You tell him.
“Y/n.” He clenched his teeth.
“No.” You shake your head, steeping back.
Sicheng’s eye twitches then raises his chin.
“Then I’ll move him.” He says before stomping to you both.
You step back and Sicheng, reaches over forcefully grabbing your child’s arm. Your son cries again, gripping on to your clothes. Somehow you manage to get Sicheng’s hand off and you carry your son, holding him close to you.
“Give me the boy, Y/n.” He says, “Give him to me or I’m going to fucking hurt you.”
You keep your arms secured around your son, shaking your head.
“No! Just leave us alone.” You cry, tears falling down your face, “He’s just a child, Sicheng, whatever he did wrong take it out on me-“ You say, “Take it out on me.”
“Oh I fuckin’ will.” He says before reaching over.
It’s a fight with him, you know it’s dangerous holding your son while trying to fight of Sicheng, but you had too, you couldn’t let Sicheng take your child away again. Your arms have gotten so weak that your son holds you tighter. Sicheng notices and eventually grabs the boy from your arms.
Your son screams out, arms reaching out to get back to you. Sicheng keeps a tight hold on his child then hits your hard enough for you to get dizzy and fall. He puts his heavy foot on you keeping you down his shoe digs into your chest and you can’t even breath properly.
“I’ve had it with you, Y/n. It’s time I remind you that you should never go against my word.” He says before getting his foot off you.
You cough and Sicheng storms off with your child, You’re so weak you can’t even move anymore, your vision is blurry and all you’re hearing is muffled sounds of your child screaming, crying, calling for you.
“Y/s/n…” You call weakly.
You attempt to get up, but you fall down. The last thing you remember is the sound of the front door slamming and the sound of and engine starting.

Chapter 21
Tumblr media
Jeno returns to the room after getting a glass of water for Jaemin. He hadn’t expect his friend to wake up so soon. He thought it would have taken more time. So he hugs his best friend once more after putting the glass of water down. ‘I missed you,’ He whispers in Jaemin’s ear. Jaemin nods, hugging him tighter. Then Kun comes back in, with Taeyong behind him. Jeno lets go of the hug and Kun starts examining Jaemin once more. ‘Is he okay?’ Jeno asks, scared of even more bad news. Kun hums, still busy.
Taeyong moves from the doorframe, to sit on the bed. ‘We missed you. I am glad you are back. And I think I speak for everyone, when I say I am relieved to see you awake. A lot of things happened while you were asleep, but nothing that you need to worry about. We will focus on your recovery first,’ Taeyong explains, making sure that Jaemin understand that his recovery is most important.
‘So, I believe you are fine. Just be careful with your leg and wrist, but they should heal within two weeks’ time. It is also possible that you still have a concussion, so I can’t allow to many visitors per day, starting from tomorrow.’ Kun states, smiling continuously. Kun can’t seem to hide his happiness, if he is being honest, he didn’t think Jaemin would make it. But now that the younger member has woken up, nothing can ruin this week. Jaemin nods at the explanation of the medic.
‘I heard Jaemin woke up?’ Haechan sticks his head in the doorframe. Looking around with question in his eyes, but as he scans the room he realizes that Jaemin is indeed awake. ‘Jae!’ He yells excitedly and runs towards the bed, hugging the undercover agent. Almost tripping over his own feet on his way towards the bed, due to his excitement.
‘What is happening here?’ another member is heard from the hallway, probably following all the noise. ‘Jaemin?’ Yuta stutters as he sees the younger brother awake, but Jaemin is just as surprised. He expected Yuta to still be in Japan.
‘You are back?’ is all he can ask the Japanese member. Yuta nods, giving the boy his famous smile.
‘Okay, so, I know I said that starting from tomorrow you couldn’t get too many visitors. But I would like to withdraw that statement and implement it already. So, Jeno, Mariposa you can be here all day, as long as you want. For all the other members applies that not more than three can visit Jaemin per day. We can eat dinner with everyone, but only for tonight. Jaemin, if you ever feel tired or something. Please go and rest.’ Kun states, looking at all the members sternly. Knowing they would probably hate his decision, but it is the best for Jaemin. Taeyong nods, agreeing with Kun.
‘He is right. Yuta, Haechan you can stay for now. I will inform the other members. See you all at dinner,’ Taeyong informs everyone in the room and walks out of the room with Kun besides him. The rest of the day, Yuta, Haechan, Jeno and Mariposa can be found in Jaemin’s room.
Tumblr media
Its been a few days since Jaemin has woken up and Taeyong has gathered all members for a meeting at 9 in the morning. Most of them are still half asleep and some, like Ten and Jisung are actually sleeping. The only ones that seem to be awake are Johnny and Chenle.
‘Morning everyone, good to see that everyone was able to come here. This weekend was supposed to be the weekend, we would infiltrate the Byun mansion. However I don’t think we are ready just yet. This means I will postpone the mission until after Doyoung and Rose’s wedding. Which will take place in two weeks or so. Jeno and Yangyang will still be doing undercover work and get as much information as possible. Everyone else make sure to gather as much information as possible, however make sure that nothing can be traced back to us,’ Taeyong explains during the meeting. Ten wakes up during one of the last sentences, quietly he asks Winwin, who is sitting next to him, what was going on. Winwin lets him know that the infiltration of the Byun family will be delayed.
‘What!?’ Ten yells surprised.
‘Yes Ten, if you would have listened you wouldn’t be so surprised by this news. I believe it would be more safe for everyone if we postpone the infiltration,’  Taeyong continues, not paying much attention to Ten anymore. After explaining the changes to the plan, Taeyong asks for updates on Dreamland and the undercover teams.
‘We are working really hard with the trainees in Dreamland, some of them could make their debut in our organization, but it will probably take a bit more time. After all, Sungchan and Shotaro just joined, we don’t want be too quick. Some of us have been taking over for me, when I was in Japan. The trainees really liked that, so Ten and I discussed it and we would like everybody to come and teach their specialty to the trainees. This would be like a monthly event or so. We will thus still focus on our learning plan, however there will be a bit of differentiating,’ Johnny share the biggest updates on Dreamland.
‘Yeah, indeed. We see that everyone is really eager to learn new skills. So we have been focusing on that, the last few weeks,’ Ten adds.
‘Thanks Johnny and Ten, Renjun please share more about your undercover work,’ Taeyong continuous after the extended explanation. Renjun nods, starting to share that they haven’t noticed anything unusual, except maybe more people that want to know who Ncity actually is. Shotaro confirms their findings with what he has found. ‘Good to hear! This also means we have to be even more careful to not reveal our identities. Kun lastly, could you update us on how Jaemin is doing?’ Taeyong asks the medic. Kun answers, explaining that Jaemin is recovering well. Also sharing that the rule of not more than three members visiting Jaemin per day seems to pay off. Jaemin is recovering more quickly than Kun expected, so that is good news for the family. ‘Nice to hear Kun! We will keep the rule in place then. Anyone else to add?’ Taeyong ends the meeting. Nobody answers, so Taeyong dismisses the members. Before he leaves the room, Doyoung is walking up to him.
‘Can we talk?’
‘Yeah sure, what do you want to talk about?’ Taeyong asks his best friend.
‘The marriage. I know we already discussed it, but do I need to marry her? can we not just have some sort of contract, without actually marrying each other?’ Doyoung pleads. He has been thinking about the marriage all week and he still doesn’t want it.
‘You know that it necessary Do. Why did you suddenly change your mind? I thought you had met her. Did that not go well?’ Taeyong curiously asks. He hadn’t expected this. After he learned that Doyoung met up with Rose, he felt like everything was okay again. He did not expected his best friend to ask him this question again.
‘It went well, it just made me realize I do not want to marry. Like at all,’
‘Why? I don’t understand that,’
‘I do,’ Yuta interrupts the duo as he walks closer and puts a hand Doyoung his shoulder. ‘It is because of Angel right?’ Yuta mentions and Doyoung nods. He has seen his brother in law visit some of his wife’s favorite places in the house. Like the library or the little pond in the garden. Even the bay window on the third floor, normally he is the only one there. But a few days ago Doyoung was suddenly there.
‘could you explain it to me Doyoung?’ Taeyong asks, looking thankfully at Yuta. He helped him understand his best friend a bit more.
‘it is just that. . .’ Doyoung stutters, ‘Angel was trained. She knew how to defend herself. She learned self defense from Johnny, she eventually beat some of the trainees in Dreamland. But she still didn’t survive. Hell look at Jaemin, he was trained for everything. He was one of the best trainees we had for a long time and he also got injured. Rose isn’t trained or anything. She barely understands what is going on, let alone be able to defend herself. How am I going to protect her if I couldn’t protect Angel or Jaemin? I can’t get her injured, just because she married me. Tae, do you understand?’ Doyoung rants and Taeyong just stares at his friend. He know he had a kind heart and that this kind of work wasn’t necessarily something for him. But this just reminded him of the sweet Doyoung he knew before they started Ncity, a side from Doyoung he hasn’t seen in a while. So Taeyong just nods, he was too baffled to answer his best friend in any other way.
‘Doyoung, if I can be honest,’ Yuta starts of, waiting for Doyoung to give him a sign that he can continue. Which he does. ‘I understand your concern. But you are not alone, we are all protecting each other and once Rose marries you, she becomes part of the family and will also be protected. Hell I believe Taeyong already has two guys following her ever since you met!’ Yuta exclaims and Taeyong shyly nods his head, looking down.
‘You had what?’
‘I am sorry, but like you said. She hasn’t had any training and I need this to work out. So yes, I had two of our men follow her around. But I think you should listen to Yuta again. Because I believe he has something important to say,’ Taeyong answers, knowing Yuta had something important to say, that could possibly also persuade Doyoung back to marrying Rose.
‘I know that you are afraid of losing her, I also know that you think you wouldn’t be able to forgive yourself if something happened to her. And maybe all those feelings are right, but I think you are forgetting the best feeling of them all. Actually having a wife and being able to wake up next to her every morning. Now, I do know you don’t love Rose, like I loved Angel. But I do believe that you guys could have a great friendship, which is something amazing as well. So yeah, Angel died because I married her, but that doesn’t mean I regret it. I don’t,’ Yuta brings his point across, tears in his eyes. Doyoung just turns around and hugs Yuta.
‘You are right,’ Doyoung mumbles, hugging Yuta even tighter.

Chapter 6
Yuta was brimming with excitement, his plan was working. He knew you were pissed, and your reactions proved to him that you still cared. It’s a shitty thing to do, but he has tried being nice, but you weren’t responding, not until he acted like an asshole that you started taking notice. He hates that it’s the only way you react to him, but when he can finally explain things when you give him a chance then he can finally be honest of everything.
He can finally explain his biggest mistake in his life- breaking up with you.
“Please don't leave.”
“This is what you wanted, right? I’m just giving it to you, Avi.”
“This isn’t what I want. Yuta-”
You try to hold his hand, but he slips it away from your grip.
“Yuta, please. I’m not giving up on us. I’m still here, and I still love you. Please. Please don't do this.”
“You made your choice, Avi. You left me first.”
“I didn’t”
“You did. You chose your job over me.” He says through gritted teeth
“It’s not just a job, Yuta-” he starts to leave your room, rushing to get out of your apartment.
“Yuta, please let me explain. Yuta!” You try to chase him, but he turns around before you collide with his body.
“6 years down the drain, Avery. All because of that stupid job.” He slams your front door, leaving you in a crying mess in your living room.
Yuta chose the stairs over the elevator, it was ten floors down, but he didn't care. Tears roll down his eyes as he climbs the emergency stairwell, knowing damn well it wasn't because of a job. He knew he was a shitty boyfriend. His anxiety about you choosing someone better was what made him a possessive man. He couldn’t lose you- his paradise.
You were the one who believed in him, the one who loved him for who he was, but no matter how many times he repeats those words in his thoughts, it keeps getting replaced by the image of you being happy without him and how he knows you can survive without him has gotten him in knots. He blames himself for neglecting you, amongst other things. He tried so hard to keep you by his side, but it didn't work, so he pushed you away, but now it’s blowing up at his face.
He doesn’t want to let you go. His thoughts are running so fast that he needs to sit down. He cries and cries and lets the thoughts eat him up. “I’m a loser. I can't save my band. I can't save my relationship. It’s all my fault. All my fault.”
He snaps out of his thoughts when his manager, Chanyeol, calls his attention. “Hmm?” he says.
“I said whatever stunt you’re pulling, you better stop. We’re announcing the comeback in a week, and we can’t afford delays if you want this album out before the hiatus.”
“right, the hiatus," Yuta says in his head.
the hiatus was pushing through, and the group agreed to release a new album in exchange for a few months to try and explore solo projects. Yuta has been trying not to think about this; he saw other bands do this, and he knew most of them never made music as a band after the members started going solo. They were still in their golden era, their latest album and EP just went triple platinum, and now the members want to go solo?
Everyone is on his ass about this. He’s the only one against solo projects- it was the band or nothing else; why does everyone want to be on their own?
“It’s what we need, remember?” Sicheng says to him, and Yuta blinks at him, confused,
“You were making that face again?”
Yuta smirks “what face?”
“That face where you look like you’re about to murder everyone here,” Sicheng says with an awkward chuckle.
“Yeah, sure.” everyone besides Yuta feels like they're waiting for a bomb to drop; they’re careful around him, and even Jungwoo, who’s closer to him, was being cautious right now.
“I’m heading to bed. It’s another day tomorrow.” Yuta says with a closed-lip smile,
“Lay off, Avi, tomorrow. Sort out your relationship after the promotions,” Chanyeol says.
It’s like the air was sucked out of the room; he just stares at his opinionated manager and lets out a low “I don't know what you’re talking about.” and then heads to his room. He’s pissed off.
They don’t understand what he’s trying to do for the team and his personal life. He lets his thoughts lull him to sleep.
It was a month before his 6th anniversary with Avi, and he was still on tour. He wants nothing but to rest, but the music label has been booking them these dates to make up for their albums just barely going platinum. The tour dates were always almost sold out in places they never thought possible, but their local fanbase is their most reliable source of support and income; even their merch has sold out.
Management has been on their ass about playing it safe, no smoking (at least outdoors), keeping the cussing to a minimum, and absolutely no dating scandals (at least till they get two albums to platinum). So management had him hide Avery from the public while his band was none the wiser, he didn’t want to add to their worries; he saw how stressed his members were, and he was the leader after all the one who pushed them to take this path, so he felt responsible for shielding them from the other stuff. He knows why management wanted her out; they saw how bad it was for another band; their frontman was exposed for being engaged, they were more popular than 127, but then the rumors came out… well, now they barely make the top 100 list.
The industry is cold, and they’re lucky to be in a label where there’s support, but it’s still a business, and they need to keep things running smoothly. Yuta has been trying to keep everyone happy, and he’s sick of it. Hell, all he wanted was to make music and to come home to her- his paradise, but he couldn’t even do that.
He’s so worried about letting Avi out of his touch; she’s his home and the only person where he feels safe. He was so possessive of her, and he knew that and he tried, he really tried not to be toxic he wanted to keep himself sane, but the thoughts of her just meeting another person… the thoughts of her leaving him terrified him to the core,
Avery was the first person who never saw him as a failure, or as competition, she saw him for who he was- an insecure boy trying to please his family and everyone around him because he’s scared of being alone. Avery was the first person who encouraged him to go after what he wanted, even if it was just sushi, and she was the first person who would congratulate him for getting an A-minus.
He grew up needing to be the best at everything, and it was heaven when he didn't have to strive to be perfect, with Avery, all he had to strive for, was happiness. That happiness gave him so much freedom.
Now everything is just complicated. He knew how his anxiety had gotten worse, and he remembers his father telling them at the dinner table that only crazy people saw psychiatrists, and he is not crazy- he can't afford to be crazy. His family has started talking to him again, and his parents are trying to understand his career and get to know him. Damn, even his older sisters are talking to him again.
His family is starting to want to let Avery in, but he hasn't told her that yet. He wants to tell her when he’s sure they're not going to just blow it up in his face. He loves his family, but if their fallout taught him anything, it was that even blood couldn’t make you fully trust someone.
Now he stands outside her building with a mask and a hoodie. No one realized it was him, and he was grateful for that. He has a bouquet of her favorite flowers; he was excited to surprise her, even if it’s just a short dinner as he needs to fly back to be with members for the tour.
But what surprises him is how Avi walks out of the office building smiling and beaming like a sunflower following the sun, and then he looks at the person she was smiling at, a guy. Tall, good-looking enough to be a model; he says something, and she laughs.
Something he hasn't heard so much since the tour, he stands frozen in place; so many thoughts are running in his head, but one voice is loud; it’s the voice telling him that she has replaced him just as he feared. He watches her walk away from the building, and slowly he follows them; he sees her say goodbye to him, just a wave as she crosses the street to the bus stop. He just watches her until she gets on the bus, and then this man leaves with a smile on his face.
Yuta feels like a bucket of ice has just been poured over him; he dials her number, and she answers, and then the barrage of questions stumbles out of his mouth “where were you? What were you doing? Who are you with? Why didn't you text me at lunch?” She answers him honestly, but the feeling doesn't go away; he asks her what time she’d be home, and she says an hour at most. He hails a cab to go their-her apartment.
He waits outside her door, and she is surprised to see him there, she goes and gives him a big embrace, but Yuta notices that when she smiles at him, it was like she was tired. He knows her. He knows her well enough to see how she lies to him. Ever since that day, he texts her and calls her constantly. At first, she tried to reply to him immediately, but then she resorted to only texting him during off-work hours; this made him more angry and resentful.
His anxiety increased even when she tried to tell him what she did all day; it wasn't enough, and he needed her near him; he needed to see with his eyes that she was only for him. He would constantly check his phone and one time escaped from tour to check up on her, only for him to feel guilty as she was just at work and busy covering stories about an international celebrity. He went back to his bandmates a few hours before the show to find them fuming.
He left them, and management almost penalized them, but Mark was able to convince them that Yuta was just within the city. He failed to be a leader, and that incident caused the band to have that “solo stuff” conversation.
Sicheng said that all of them needed a break from the band. They were getting on each other’s nerves; he mostly opened it up because if he had to sit next to Haechan’s singing any longer, he was going to start smashing the youngest’s drum kit. Mark was excited, he wanted to do other genres of music besides rock, and Haechan feels the same. Jungwoo was excited to explore singing solo, he befriended a producer a few months back and was slowly making music with them. They all needed time to pause, also for Yuta’s sake it’s no secret he’s co-dependent on his girlfriend but his bandmates noticed he was always on edge even when it’s about the band.
He wakes from his sleep all groggy and tired. Today is his last chance to convince Avery to get back with him, he knows if he doesn't do anything today you’ll be with Johnny.
All he wants is another chance to be with you, at this point him being an asshole is what gets your attention so it’s what he starts being. He knows it's wrong but being an asshole and noticed by you is better than you ignoring him. When you blocked him and the 127 pages he felt like he was losing his mind.
For a month he couldn’t see any signs of you and he couldn’t even try to visit you since they were recording. He missed being happy. He misses being with you, feeling your soft skin against his calloused hands, running his fingers through your soft hair, and nuzzling his head in the crook of your neck.
He misses being enveloped in you and letting go of the day’s stress because you’re all he wants to be consumed by. Some people call him codependent but he isn't right? He just loves you so much. Isn't falling in love supposed to be like this? He refuses to give up on them, the last time was just a moment of weakness, He’s stronger now, and he has better control of his anxiety. He’s better now. He has to be.

Going on too WayV and I better not be getting any comments about Lucas or Winwin or any of that shit.
P.S: I don't own the gifs and images. And some inspirations are from the fanfic 'The Greatest Catch' by happy_accident28737.

Kun / 쿤 - Elite Four Occupation: Pokémon Contest Judge *Gigantamax* Venusaur (Grass/Poison) Base - 525
Our leader who always seems like a tired dad KUN, part of the Elite Four and I gave him a Venusaur. I gave him this because I can really see him with a Bulbasaur and raising one as they grow together, and it was either a gigantamax or mega but I chose gigantamax to balance out the megas and gigantamax in the Elite Four.
He's so talented that I can see him being some kind of performer and teacher/mentor to some other coordinators \( ̄︶ ̄*\))

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ten / 텐 - Poison Type Occupation: Dancer and Influencer *Poison Z-Move* Crobat (Poison/Flying) Base - 535
Mr Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul is the Poison Type Gym Leader, I gave him a Crobat. Reason for this was that Corbat is real strong and I think it fits the typing but another option was Salazzle for the dancer occupation (if you know why then you understand).
Amazing at dancing so that was obvious and I think Ten would be a good influencer in terms of posting choreographies he's made and vlogs (just a headcannon).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Winwin / 윈윈 - Psychic Type Occupation: Traditional Dancer and Yoga Instructor *Mega* Medicham (Fighting/Psychic) Base - 410 to 510
The member with the biggest fan club of his own members Winwin, the Psychic Type Gym Leader is given a Medicham. Another option was Alakazham but I said Medicham because of the fighting typing connecting to Winwin's traditional dancing.
Both occupations were quite obvious for me especially the first one but the second was because of his flexibility.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lucas / 루카스 - Steel Type Occupation: Model *Gigantamax* Copperajah (Steel) Base - 500
Handsome and adorable boy Lucas, the Steel Type Gym Leader I gave him a Copperajah. I can imagine him having a cute little Cufant and seeing his partner evolve with him. He's a goofball but can be intimidating (based on my first impression) just like some steel type Pokémon's.
He's so good looking of course he's a model he main visual for reason o(* ̄︶ ̄*)o

Can you please do a part 3 of yandere kings wayv.
Anonymous said: pt.3 of yan wayv x maid reader?? I love you 🥺❤️
Part One, Part Two
***
Another day, another instance where you find yourself in the library, though this time, for a completely different reason. Luckily for you, today just so happens to be one of your rare days off, and like every free day you have, you opt to spend it in a place you love.
Letting out a content hum, you lean further back into your seat, a book perched precariously on your lap.
"Fancy meeting you here," a voice calls your attention from beside the stacks to your left and you look up to see King Sicheng walking over to you.
"Your Majesty," just as you go to stand and bow to him in greeting, he motions for you to stop.
"Please," he smiles kindly, "call me Sicheng."
You nod, "if that is your desire."
Oh, Sicheng has many desires when it comes to you, but he'll settle for this, for now.
Sitting across from you, he goes to speak once more, only to be cut off by a voice from the entranceway.
"I didn't realize you would be here."
Looking over, you see King Ten, as well as the three princes walking towards you. His gaze is especially pointed towards Sicheng, until he turns his head to smile, almost lovingly, at you.
"What brings you to the library today?" Yangyang inquires, a new spring to his step as he sees you politely greeting everyone.
"Well, Your Highness, it's my day off so I'm doing what I always do," you reply, raising the book slighting in your hands as further indication.
"Your day off, you say?" Ten hums, his eyes flashing with an idea.
Only, before he, or anyone else can speak, Lucas is beating them all to it.
"If it's your day off, then it'd be no trouble at all to join me for a walk in the gardens. Right?" His wide-eyed, hopeful look has you blinking in response.
"I suppose not-"
"Do you enjoy reading?" Sicheng cuts in, before Hendery, or anyone else for that matter, could.
"Yes." You turn to smile at him and Sicheng swears his heart is about to burst right out of his chest. "It's my favourite pastime."
"You often spend your days off in the library?" Hendery asks, sitting in one of the chairs closest to you while the others either glare at him or Sicheng.
"Quite often," you confirm. "Though usually, I'm alone."
Again, you share a smile with Sicheng which has the other's brisling.
"Is he bothering you?" Yangyang frowns.
"Not at all!" You're quick to respond. "I rather enjoy Sicheng's company."
The four males around you tense, while Sicheng positively revels in the way you've said his name.
"So, you two are on a first name basis, now, huh?" Ten asks, seemingly nonchalantly as he turns to glare at Sicheng who is positively radiating smugness at the moment.
"You never address any of us by our names." Lucas pouts, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
"You've never asked." You shrug, settling back into your spot as you crack open your book once more.
"Ah," a new voice cuts the tension from the entranceway, "I thought I'd find you here."
Closing your eyes for the briefest of moments, you let out a puff of air through your nose. One day of peace to read by yourself was all you asked, but it seems wherever you go, four kings and three princes are sure to follow.
Sparing a glance to the entranceway one more, you see both King Kun and King Xiaojun walking over to where everyone has gathered around you. You notice Kun holding another book in his hand, just like last time.
"Your Majesty," you meet Xiaojun's eyes before glancing at Kun, "My King."
"I should know by now that you're always here on your days off," Kun hums. "Though I do wish you'd accept my offer and use my private reading chamber once in a while. It gets lonely without you."
The six men around you share a look of disbelief, especially when you seemingly avert your gaze, suddenly shy.
"Like you've said," you murmur, "it's for private use only. I wouldn't want to be a bother."
"Nonsense," Kun replies. "You know that you're welcome anytime."
The corners of your lips tug upwards slightly at the sides. A fact which none of them miss.
"What was it that you were all just discussing?" Xiaojun asks casually, wanting to steer the conversation in a different direction rather than continue to watch Kun shamelessly flirt with you in front of him.
Ten's eyes flash, "just the fact that Sicheng here feels like he's the only one entitled to be called by his name by our favourite person here."
Immediately, Xiaojun narrows his eyes at the older male sitting on the couch, while Kun turns to look at you with amusement shining in his eyes. "Is that so?"
"I already told you," you again reply with a shrug. "He asked."
Catching on to what each of the others are about to ask you, Kun cuts in, calling your name to catch your attention, "do you have any more recommendations for me?"
Your eyes light up and you practically bounce out of your seat, book forgotten on the cushion next to you. "Do I ever!"
The six other males blink, noting your change in demeanour at the question Kun has just posed. Why hadn't they thought of that sooner? Obviously you like to read, otherwise you wouldn't be in the library on your days off.
"How did you like the last one?" You ask, already standing and walking over to him, the others seemingly long forgotten.
As Kun launches into a full on review of the last book he read, the two of you disappear behind the stacks. The six others share a look.
"No wonder they're so close," Yangyang mumbles.
Xiaojun sighs, sitting down on the couch you've just vacated, "at least we know another common interest."
Not even ten minutes later, you round the corner of the shelf you disappear behind, a soft smile on your face. Though this time, Kun is nowhere to be found.
"Remind me to ask you when I need a book to read," Sicheng grins, a chuckle falling from his lips in the next moment as you avert your gaze bashfully.
"I'd be happy to recommend as many as you'd like," you reply, moving back over to your spot once more.
Sitting back down on the cushion, you grab your previously discarded book. Just as you open the page to get back to reading, a voice catches your attention.
"Is it unusual for others to ask you to call them by their names?" Ten inquires casually, though the others know his statement is calculated, each also waiting with bated breath for your answer.
"Depends on who is asking." You tell them. "Another staff member? No. Another royal? A little, though it's not rare."
Xiaojun's eyes flash. "Has Kun?"
"Has he what?" You quirk a brow, tilting your head ever so slightly as you meet his gaze.
"Has he ever asked you to call him by his name?" Hendery asks, sounding casual, though on the inside he can barely stop himself from shaking.
"Of course." Your singular nod confirms it.
Lucas blinks, clearing his throat. "Have you?"
Just as he asks this, Kun rounds the corner, his own brow raised at the conversation he's just walked in on. No one has seemed to notice his presence. No one, except you.
"Of course." Your answer has a smirk tugging at Kun's lips. "Though I mainly use it when the two of us are alone."
The six males around you stiffen, minds wandering as to the circumstances that would lead you to calling out Kun's name while alone. Envy, jealousy, and anger all swirl within their chests.
"I have to admit," Sicheng hums, "that makes me jealous."
"Jealous?" Your brow furrows. "Why would that make you jealous?"
"Because he has something that we all want." Xiaojun replies.
"What could he possibly have that you do not?" You voice, incredulous.
Ten is the only one lucky enough to meet your gaze. "You."

Sicheng heard the sound of thunder and imagined the flashes of lightning that must have preceded them. He wouldn’t know, because in the dungeon where his biological sister was kept, there was no light. Not a single sliver of it, no crack between the walls where prying fingers would find reprieve, nothing to accompany his sister while she fell into insanity, staring at the unchanging walls and sleeping in total darkness.
“Sixue, turn the lights off,” Sicheng whispered urgently from his post at the dungeon doors. They had to take this chance now, while the only one on guard was him, and the storm would cover for the power outage.
Sparks flitted from Sixue’s fingers, her gift flickering due to her fatigue and hunger. Still, with a bit of effort and concentration, she succeeded in turning the lights off. Sicheng stood at the door, staring resolutely into space while he hovered the key to his sister’s cell across the floor.
Slumped on the floor, Sixue moved her fingers towards the crack between the door and the floor and picked the key up. Pretending to fumble with the lock, she felt her heart pounding in her chest as she slipped the key into the lock and jiggled it. The door clicked open and she winced, hoping no one had heard.
Sixue leaned carefully against the door, peering through the crack between the door and the door frame. Convinced that the coast was clear, she stumbled to her feet and tried to make her way to where her brother was standing, shrouded in shadows.
A flash of light blinded her before she could do anything.
There, in front of the siblings, stood someone who shouldn’t have been there. They’d checked, they were sure, that there hadn’t been anyone in the vicinity before they attempted the escape plan.
Sicheng swallowed, hard, unmoving. He could tell from his spot, even without turning his head to look at his sister, that the plan had failed. From the sudden silence to the lights turning back on, it was pretty obvious that their plan had been foiled.
But how? There was only one explanation that made sense in his mind, and just considering it made the blood drain from his face.
Your brother stood in front of Sicheng, and yet he stood beside Sixue at the same moment. His appearance made everything that had seemed possible before impossible, throwing a wrench into more than just the escape plan.
It took all of Sicheng’s concentration not to clench his fist in frustration and fall to his knees, to cry aloud to the heavens and see who was listening.
“Well, well, well. What do we have here?”
SIcheng met your brother’s gaze with a steely determination. If he wanted to leave that forsaken prison and take his sister out of there alive, he would have to survive this encounter with the man who might as well be the devil himself.
“I’m not sure what you’re referring to, Your Highness.”
Your brother arched one of his perfect eyebrows, impressed by Sicheng’s boldness. “Why don’t you turn around and take a look?”
Sicheng felt his limbs turning towards the cell his sister was supposed to be in, and instantly sent the tiniest of breezes towards the edges of the walls, feeling around for your presence.
The air caressed cloth in a crevice where cloth should not have been, and both Sicheng and you knew that everyone in that dungeon was playing a dangerous game of limbo, with the devil in the room.
Each of you, if unmasked at that instant, would be in danger. Treason to the crown, or in your case, a traitor to your kingdom. How that would work, considering you were the sole ruler, Sicheng wasn’t quite sure. But he was certain your mind control could do nothing against the manipulation of evidence he knew your brother was capable of.
He took one invisible step in the layered game of limbo, and forced himself to greet the sight of Sixue lying against spikes sticking up from the ground. Dangerously close to her was another layer of spikes, threatening to impale her if she tried to move.
Pinpricks of blood pooled at her fingertips as she dug her fingers into the spikes, casting a desperate, frenzied glance at Sicheng. Help me, her gaze screamed.
Sicheng felt as if he was going to puke. He dug his fingernails into his palms until he was sure they were going to draw blood, biting his lip and swallowing the bile rising in his throat.
Acid burned down his esophagus, and his eyes briefly fluttered shut before he forced them apart again. He forced himself to watch as the two beds of spikes closed in, metal flush against Sixue’s skin, still not digging into her, but giving her no room to breathe.
It’s not real, he told himself. It’s not real it’s not real it’s not–
“Can’t bear to lose your precious sister, now can you?”
Swallow, it’s not real, Sicheng repeated in his mind. Sixue is safe. For now.
“She won’t be safe much longer,” your brother said, as if hearing his thoughts. Sicheng would never understand how he achieved the skill of hiding menace behind innocent smiles, but it didn’t matter. He knew that everything your brother said was a lie.
He couldn’t read thoughts, but it was easy to predict what people would be thinking in the face of danger. People were predictable, after all, and at the end of the day they all wanted almost the same thing.
That was what your brother preyed on. The tense energy of fear, the desperation and confusion in their eyes. It was the reason your brother rarely appeared at court hearings, despite being so power-hungry. His gift being a secret was his only advantage when it came to his shady dealings, and he almost always succeeded in driving people so insane they confessed to crimes they hadn’t committed, or they committed suicide first.
After all, dead men tell no tales. That was a principle your brother was all too familiar with.
Uncertain if anything he was seeing then was real, Sicheng tried to lift your brother’s shirt slightly, to test if it was tangible.
In his head, he felt the familiar headache that meant that you were preventing him from using his telekinetic abilities. Why? he wanted to ask. He wanted to scream at you until you loosened your hold on him and allowed him to tear his hands into your brother’s flesh, to scream over his poor, mistreated sister without your unfeeling gaze against his back.
But deep within his mind, beneath all the hatred simmering at the surface, he knew better. He knew that keeping his gift a secret gave him an advantage over your brother, a man who had never cared to learn about his people.
Your brother thought that he could hide in the dark with his illusionist tricks, but Sicheng was aware of them. On the other hand, your brother knew nothing of Sicheng’s telekinesis, and didn’t know that Sicheng could easily see through all the illusions if he tried to move an object.
Sicheng knew he couldn’t trust his eyes, but your brother didn’t know he couldn’t trust himself.
And that, in itself, might just save one of them.

Summary: you never passed up the chance to get in the good books of all your teachers. So when the opportunity arised to possibly make your chemistry teacher actually like you, seeing as he was the only one that seemed to have it in for you, you couldn’t say no. Only problem? You had to tutor the bad boy.
