Grief is Love in disguise. Perhaps it’s true. Perhaps you’ve heard it before. Perhaps the idea comforts you and helps things make sense. * Or maybe it pisses you off and you don’t buy that belief at all. I guess that’s why I'm the bitchy mystic. I’m not here to comfort you, but this work can comfort you if you let it. I’m here to remind you of these concepts that live deep inside each of us, who we know intimately in the place where we walk the shadow’s edge. * I’m here to say the truths that hit you like those jokes where you laugh because it’s too close to the shadow’s edge. Your eyes well up, you get that feeling like you might fall off that cliff, you laugh. Your body responds before your mind can revolt at the challenge. Laughter is the chariot that you ride to the other side of the shadow. * Here you can soften and let yourself settle in. Often the bigger feelings need some time to settle. You can take your time, that’s why it’s a coloring book. You have to take your time. Comedy can be instant magic shadow integration, those are some really good wizards. I’m not that good a wizard, but I know the alchemy of attention. * Grief is love in disguise. We know it involves love as a key ingredient. Even if the love is distorted and the grief doesn’t make sense yet. That’s the shadow. That’s the journey. Everyone must walk their own path when it comes to shadow integration. I’m just here to hand you the tennis racquet with which to bushwack your path. * I’ve mentioned “shadow integration” a few times. That’s what this account is all about. Attraction: according to the shadow... I was recently talking to one of my best girlfriends about attraction and why we find certain qualities and personalities so sexy. We've all heard the, "we're attracted to people who remind us of our caregivers," and yes, this can be true. But what's often overlooked is our shadow. The qualities that weren't demonstrated or allowed in our childhood often become our shadows—pieces we repress over time that actually may be something we desire deep down. When we repress our shadows, we often seek it out in others or fall into destructive patterns—searching for the missing pieces until we feel whole again. We unconsciously attract lovers, and even friendships, that represent our missing pieces. And here's the cosmic joke: we are all whole and perfect underneath the layers we create for ourselves. Everything you seek lives within you. Shadow integration is crucial to help us feel whole again. When we feel whole, we attract people who are aligned with our true selves. Instead of searching for the missing pieces to the puzzle externally, we help each other discover them within. Owning #bipolar ➡️ but labels come with stigma. But why not? Give me all the stigma.

Why not, what have I not already triggered in people? What have I not already experienced, been the poster child of?

I often feel like a specimen in a jar in this city. A spectacle to gawk at. A creature with its innards on display. Go on, look. Tell me I am brave, tell me I am rare. Tell me you don't know how I do it.

Yes I am macabre and quirky, odd and weird and unintelligible to most. Messy and raw, and birthed from a sequence of events quite frankly I'm writing a book to bring to light, because I would need 26 years of video.

I am tired of being on display. I want to belong. I want to co create. Most of all I want to sing my song. But I also recognise that me being me does not come without the labels and that stigma, and I have decided it can't hurt more than being the experiment.
