Decided to make an OC for my He-Man 3.5e D&D campaign. Yes, shes a Furry, but please allow me to explain.

This is Timid Oak, of the ancient Preternian ancestors to modern Vulpin, Tabaxi (Catlike), and Wolven Eternians. A few are seen here.

She is a breed of animal simply called a Werebeast, 10 feet tall and very strong. Shes childish at heart and lives on a diet of seafood and bones.

Anatomy of a Werebeast

Werebeasts ate extinct in modern Eternian culture, and the stories of them have been passed through history.

Werebeasts can stand anywhere between 9-11 feet tall, and have different looks and/or pelts of fur depending on where they live. Most of the Werebeasts have a very violent nature, and live on a diet of Bones and meat, their jaws strong enough to shatter a human femur with ease.

The more primal ans viloent tribes hunted down the humanoid Eternians and were constantly at war with them, always fighting for food. Werebeasts are ruthless and most tribes do eat Eternian meat. But the ones who can sustain balance with the ecosystem often help lost tribes in anyway they can.

They're very built and the males are taller than the females in most occasions. They have joints similar to wolves, with the knee having 2 bending points. Massive paws and claws are used to rip and shred enemies.

About Timid Oak

Timid Oak is apart of the Firehearth clan, and lived in the cold mountians near the Crystal sea. Her clan never ate Eternian meat, and lived off the fish and vermin in the area. They also learned how to blow glass potion bottles and create ancient potions known as Fizzies. The clan had very little if not any visitors and gave their life to the Star Seed, and walked within its guiding shadow.

Timid became a renowned alchemist for her village and often sold her Fizzies as medicine.

The peaceful life lead to nothing, no defenses were set. When the Great Purge of Monsters (something in my campaign that i will elaborate in another post) came, her village was attacked. She was chased down, along with her new love Rumble Pine. They were forced to flee, running into a newly carved temple for Necromancy.

With no other choice, Rumble helped Timid into the coffin and in order to save her life; cursed her with the Amulet of Inner Beasts. Sealing the tomb, and the coffin with her inside.

Timid slept for an eternity, unaware what was happening. While Rumble starved, he left her in the new modern world by herself.

When she was finally awoken, she was in a place she didn't know. She mourned the death of Rumble and was guided to Greyskull by the Star Seed.

Today she serves the Heroic Warriors and the Sorceress. She even has her eyes on a new mate: The goofy and lovable Adam.

Under Eyes Dark Circle : Causes & Treatments

The eyes display expression and emotions that form an important part of our individuality. The skin around the eyes is ten times thinner than the skin on the rest of the face. The tissue around the eyes has very few oil glands, it lacks the natural moisture present on other parts of the body.

Skin around the eye - The eyelid skin is composed of several layers. The deepest is the bone (orbit) on which sits the orbicularis muscle that allows the eyelid to move. On top of that is a thin layer of fascia ans subcutaneous fat. Then lies the dermis, which forms the support layer of the skin, is made up of bundles of elastin and collagen, fibroblasts, nerves and blood vessels. The top layer, the epidermis, is made up of basal cells, melanocytes, Langerhans cells, keratinocytes and on top, the dead cell layer (also known as the stratum corneum) made up of corneocytes. The epidermal layer gives the skin its appearance, color, suppleness, texture, and health. The dermis gives it elasticity, tautness and fullness.

Aging around eyes - As we age, skin loses its elasticity and becomes even thinner. Aging is further aggravated by sun exposure, smoking, alcohol etc. Facial movements and expressions such as smiles, squinting, and stress can also affect the eye area, creating fine lines or crows feet – lines that appearon the outside corner of the eye. Skin Doctor in Mumbai Under eye puffiness can be exacerbated by salty foods, allergies and internal dehydration. Rubbing and tugging of the delicate skin under the eye due to allergies, crying, eye makeup removal and insertion and removal of contact lenses can contribute to sagging of this area.

Dark circles are a common ailment affecting a large number of men and women at all ages.

While A 18 year old complaining of dark circles could be because of sunken eyes, a 60 year old could possibly have it from thickened aging skin.

Q. What are the causes of dark circles?

Dr. Vrushali believes there’s no one cause for dark circles. It is first important to identify the cause of dark circles and then treat it. Using an expensive dark circle cream without identifying the cause, often leads to frustration.

Here are some common causes of dark circles

1. Hereditary causes – This byfar is the most common cause for dark circles and most difficult to treat.

2. Anemia (low haemoglobin) – Anemia causes paleness of the face and that generally leads to apparent dark appearance of skin around eyes and mouth. Correction of anemia with correct dose of hematinics results in complete correction of such dark circles.

3.Sunken eyes due to bony framework – This is common in a lot of Indian patients. Such patients are the sufferers of gimmicks of dark circle creams. The bony framework is deep, causing the lower eyelid to caste a shadow in the undereye area, giving a faux appearance of dark circles. Simply pulling the skin below eyes down and inside causes disappearance of the dark circles.

4.Thinned out skin and underlying blood vessels – Some people have very thin undereye skin. The blood vessels beneath the skin give it a bluish hue and make the eyes appear darker.

5.Thickened skin from allergy – A lot of people have several allergy issues pertaining to eye. So it could be dry eye, dandruff on eyelashes, allergy to kajal or eyeliner or simply dust allergy. Rubbing the eyes frequently can cause thickening and wrinkling of skin around the eyes and give an apparent feel of Dark Circle Treatment . Sometimes repeated friction over the years can cause friction iduced pigmentation.

6.Photoaging skin and wrinkles – Those who are exposed to a lot of UV rays like trekkers can develop thickening and wrinkling of skin around the eyes and give an apparent feel of dark circles. Because the eye skin is much thinner than the rest of face, the eyes show signs of aging much earlier than the rest of the face.

7.Actual pigmentation – There are some people who actually have pigmentation around the eyes either from friction, allergies or hereditary causes. Pigmentary demarcation line is a common reason for this condition and tends to be familial.

8.Other causes – Less sleep, puffy eyes, stress – These are more common and generally temporary reasons for appearance of dark circles. Correction in lifestyle helps in tackling these symptoms.

Q. What are the different treatments for dark circles??

Ans. As mentioned earlier, treatment should be directed towards the cause and there is not one single magic cream for all causes of dark circles.

Dr. Vrushali Recommends a specialised chemical peel for actual pigmentation around the eyes. It contains trichloroacetic acid, retinol and arbutin which facilitate the shedding of epidermis and reduce melanin in the undereye area. It is specially formulated for the sensitive under-eye skin for dark circle treatment. Repeating the treatment every 10 days helps in achieving a desired result.

For sunken eyes, due to bony framework, a hyaluronic acid filler injection namely Restylane or Juvederm Ultra or JuvedermVolbella is recommended. This filler lasts between 9 to 15 months depending on individual metabolism.

Thinned out skin in dark circles can be made stronger with microdermabrasion, microneedling and mesoporation at regular intervals. Dermatologist in Mumbai Specialised medical grade products that help with collagen building are applied after these procedures for deeper penetration.

Skin with deep line and creases can be managed with fractionated ablative laser or microneedling radiofrequency at repeated intervals to make the creases shallow.

Allergies around the eyes should be correctly identified and properly treated and only the shoud the treatment to erase dark circles be initiated. The whole point is until the cause is identified, the dark circle treatment cannot give good results.

Q. How to take care of the undereyeskin ?

Ans. Caring for the skin around the eyes is a delicate process. Because it is thinner, it not only tends to be the first place to show signs of aging, but also is more sensitive than the rest of the skin. Therefore, extra care needs to be taken when choosing a skincare product for this area. Products that contain exfoliants should be choosen with caution. A retinol would be a good night cream for the skin, but for the eye, its concentration shud be halved. A generous dose of Vitamin C and antioxidants topically maintain its suppleness. Vitamin K helps with capillary strengthening, so those that tend to bruise easily can do with a Vitamin K cream.

Reihenfolge Chronologisch (aber der erste Teil funktioniert ganz gut als Standalone).

Stärken ✧ Zehn Säcke Charisma bitte! Es ist unglaublich wie viele coole Figuren V.E. Schwab für diese Trilogie aus der Feder geschüttelt hat. Kell ist mysteriös und ein bisschen mürrisch. Sein Adoptivbruder Rhy dagegen viel offener, kämpft aber mit seiner bevorstehenden Position als König. Den Gegenpol bildet die barsche Lila, die so bleibt wie sie ist und nicht plötzlich ihre feminine Seite entdeckt, um attraktiv zu werden. Ihre Art macht sie zu einem enorm skrupellosen Charakter, der es manchmal bis ins Unsympathische treibt. Schiffskapitän Alucard holt sie charmant auf den Boden der Tatsachen zurück und selbst Bösewicht Holland gewinnt nach und nach an Tiefe und Sympathie.

✧ Liebevolle Beziehungen Sei es brüderlicher, romantischer oder freundschaftlicher Art. Es ging mir sehr ans Herz wie die Figuren füreinander empfinden, sich gegenseitig verletzen (ohne künstliches Drama) und den Rücken stärken. All das bekommt man durch Taten und amüsante Sticheleien gezeigt und muss sich nicht an beweisfreien Behauptungen die Augen ausrollen.

✧ London hoch 3 (4?) Ich fand das Worldbuilding um die parallelen Londons einfach cool. Genau wie das auf Elementen basierende Magiesystem, die geheimnisvollen Antari, die Beschreibungen ihrer Fähigkeiten und die Satzfetzen, die man aus den Sprachen der verschiedenen Welten mitbekommt.

✧ Nix Friede, Freude... Ich verrate natürlich nicht den Schluss, aber ich fand das Finale sehr gelungen. Es schmeckt bittersüß und nicht so kitschig-klebrig wie viele andere Enden, die sich nicht trauen realistische Verluste einzuarbeiten.

Schwächen ✧ Hat jemand den Plot gesehen? All die kreative Energie der Autorin floß wohl in die Charaktere. Die Handlung ist meist geradlinig und ehrlich gesagt viel zu mau für so dicke Bücher. Man hätte entweder viel mehr raffen können (gerade im letzten Band gibt es viel zu viele unnütze Kapitel, die eh alle nur wenige Seiten lang sind und der ständige Perspektivwechsel hat mich immer wieder aus dem Lesefluss geworfen) oder, was mir viel lieber gewesen wäre, noch mehr an der Handlung feilen sollen. Der Bösewicht im letzten Teil ist so stinklangweilig. Obwohl er eine ganze Stadt problemlos terrorisiert, habe ich von dieser Bedrohung nur wenig gespürt. A pair of Yamaha cafe racers from the opposite ends of the capacity spectrum, Roland Sands gets stuck into the Indian FTR 1200, and some sad news from the Vincent scene.

Vale Patrick Godet The renowned Vincent builder Patrick Godet passed away on Tuesday. His Swiss friend Fritz Egli (yes, of Egli-Vincent fame) made the announcement and requested privacy.

Godet was well known for his exquisite restorations, and restomods such as the 1330 Cafe Racer and the less radical Sport GT. These used Black Shadow engines with increased displacement (measuring 99 RWHP) squeezed into the Egli-Vincent frame, with Fritz Egli’s approval.

I clearly remember stumbling across one of these several years ago at the Wheels & Wheels festival in Biarritz, and it was truly a sight to behold.

Godet was also active in the French classic racing scene, riding a Black Lighting and building smaller capacity ‘Grey Flash’ machines for others to race in events like the Bikers Classic at Spa-Francorchamps. Fittingly, one of his bikes was also displayed in the famous Art Of The Motorcycle exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in 1998.

Yamaha Scorpio Cafe Racer By Jowo Kustom Yamaha’s bare-bones Scorpio 225 is one of those bikes that flies under the radar. Which is just as well, because it’s plasticky and unattractive. It’s mostly sold in Indonesia and the Philippines, with the occasional shipment heading to Australia and New Zealand for riding school and commuter duties.

As we all know by know, Indonesian custom shops are remarkably inventive, and a shop called Jowo has managed to turn the Scorpio into a thing of beauty.

Under the tutelage of leader Yohanes ‘Anes’ Marse, the Jowo crew have heavily modified the frame and swingarm, and reconfigured the exhaust port on the single-cylinder engine to take twin headers.

The plastics have been replaced with new unibody metalwork, and most of the wiring and cabling has been neatly concealed. The overall effect is slim and elegant, with subtle touches like the fork shrouds adding to the visual balance. Exceptional work on a very unpromising donor. [Via]

Yamaha XJR1300 by Ian Ketterer Yamaha quietly dropped its mighty XJR1300 a couple of years ago — another casualty of ever-tightening emissions regulations. And although the 1251cc brute had a solid following in Europe and Australia, it never made it over to the States.

The occasional XJR1300 custom has popped up over the years, and this is one of the cleanest we’ve seen. It’s from South African garage builder Ian Ketterer, who operates under the name Blacksilver Customs.

“I’ve always wanted to build a proper muscle bike cafe racer,” he says. “It was a bucket list thing and this build gave me the opportunity to do it.”

He’s added the front end from a Yamaha YZF-R1, designing and machining new triple clamps himself to make it fit — and shortening the wheelbase slightly in the process to sharpen the handling. There’s a matching R1 wheel at the back too, which required a new axle and swingarm mods.

A new subframe keeps the ‘bone line’ level from the fuel tank back to the tip of the tail, and Ian even designed a new front fender to stop the oil cooler from clashing (literally) with the new front end. A fine example of pro-level engineering from a home builder. [More]

Honda Shadow bobber by Seb Kustom We love an oddball custom that raises a smile, and this quirky bobber from France fits the bill. The enigmatic builder known simply as Sébastien spent several years on this project, grafting on a rigid tail and turning Honda’s bland middleweight cruiser into a bike that would draw a crowd wherever it’s parked up.

Séb usually works on more conventional fare, such as the BMW K series or the Kawasaki Zed. But while rummaging through the dusty attic of his grandmother, he discovered a Yamaha 125 DTMX tank and a Marchal fog light, which once belonged to his father.

Séb’s father then helped with the heavy lifting on the Honda’s frame — which is just as well, because getting that DTMX tank to fit was a fulltime job in itself. The wheels are Harley, the saddle is from Biltwell, the pegs are from a BMX bike and the ‘oil tank’ is fake: it hides a large portion of the wiring. Très intelligent! [Via]

Indian FTR 1200 Super Hooligan by RSD They say that trends are cyclical, but this is ridiculous. Indian’s new FTR 1200 road bike is inspired by the FTR 750 flat tracker, and now Roland Sands has taken the FTR 1200 and converted it back into a tracker ready for the Super Hooligan class.

It may sound ludicrous, but the RSD tracker looks very good indeed. Most of the mods are technical: the 120 hp engine has been detuned to deliver power as smoothly as possible on the track, there are adjustable triple clamps to increase the steering lock and modify the geometry, and the battery has been moved to just in front of the back tire.

Other mods include new engine cases, dual throttle bodies, and a few secret ingredients lifted from the FTR750 racer (and a Pikes Peak racebike that RSD also built).

The oil cooler has been ditched—apparently it’s not necessary—and weight has dropped a whopping 53 pounds to 456 (206 kilos) at the curb. Best of all, Roland Sands Design are apparently putting together an accessory package of flat track bits for Indian, which should include new wheels, pedals, levers, grips and more.
