69 opened tabs of various genres but suddenly im obsessed with foster fics again send help

my current favorite foster fic from my favorite author btw <- Feats of Lion, Figure of Lamb by iorion

its platonic soulmates bedrockbros-centric , sbi foster, they’re both the biggest english (literature, books) nerd ever, crimeboys are theater kids, phil is good dad with a twist

lil summary that could be quite biased and contains some minor spoilers:

soulmates can write on their skin and have the other see it (the words disappear over time). Techno’s been nerding and engaing in deep conversation with his soulmate for years, he’s envision his other half being a tough warrior who survived through “battles” for their maturity, ingenuity and well articulated words.

Tommy had just been nerding out about Frankenstein to his soulmate after they recommended him to read it. He’d also areived at his new emergency placement due to the last one being an absolute asshole.

and now you gotta go read it to see what comes next, currently 12k words 5/? chapters, its very interesting and the literary aspect really adds to the story. iorion once again scraches just the right spots of my brain and im insane for their stories :D!!!

“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”

or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).

thoughts - this was so good. so well written, the character interactions were bEAUTIFUL. i don’t know what to do with myself after reading this fic. i will never recover /pos. seriously though, highly recommend this fic, especially if you like superhero AUs. the author spins tommy in a way that’s much different than i’ve ever seen him written before (/pos), and he’s got a lot of depth. he’s not just a little ball of chaos. he also doesn’t have super OP abilities, which is really cool to see. overall just an amazing fic /gen
