Okay. Something else that has been bothering me about some fandom takes I've seen post Part one of the M9 Reunion is people's insistence that Caleb is lonely. Why do people think he's lonely? Do they really think he wouldn't have settled in Zadash or Nicodranus if he wanted to? The man can Teleport multiple times a day, he could have lived anywhere! Also can people please realize that it has ONLY BEEN SIX MONTHS since the end of campaign 2 and Caleb is still working with Beau to bring down the Cerberus Assembly. He has a sending stone he shares with Beau!! He can call her whenever!! Just because he lives on his own does not mean he's lonely!!!

Anyway I'm incredibly salty about so many of the takes I'm seeing across the fandom between the overdramatic stans of That Guy who don't seem to realize that Matt is already handling a fucking shit ton of stuff! The pressure on him to try and pilot an NPC(who people want to be a PC so bad)who they want to be completely involved with everything while also trying to steer the narrative and handle other NPCs and then combat too? Are you fucking kidding me?

This doesn't even touch on the bitching about the new art(which I fucking LOVE)and how Yasha wouldn't be a good cook or wouldn't be happy just being a housewife. THAT IS WHAT ASHLEY WANTS FOR HER CHARACTER SO MAYBE STOP PROJECTING HUH?

Not to generalize or whatever, but I'm sorry but like wtf is going on with some of the cis hets? I literally got to know this couple and the guy just... insults her? All the time? "Lovingly" he says, she just kinda lets it happen. So far i have heard him insult her looks, hygiene, weight, voice, personality, intelligence, and just overall is mean to her. They've been dating for 3 years. Girl that sounds like a toxic af relationship to me. I have NEVER (and will never) insult my partner while we were dating, and even after we broke up (except one because they were literally manipulative and gaslighty). I like to be loving not insult their literal existence like that guy does. I will tease them sure but what that is isn't teasing babe, that is reason to break up. Biggest red flag

I don't know who needs to hear this, but as a creator -

I am fine with "the audience" -

downloading my fics

printing my fics

copy/pasting or screenshotting my fics

sharing your saved copy of my fics with anyone else who might want them in the unlikely but never impossible case that my fics are no longer available on ao3

making a book of my fic(s) and running your fingers across the pages while lovingly whispering my precioussss

doing these things with anything I create for fandom, such as meta, headcanons, au nonsense like 'texts from the brodinsons,' etc

I am not fine with "the audience"

doing any of the above with the purpose/intent of plagiarizing my work or passing it off as their own in any capacity

feeding my work into ai for any reason whatsoever

Save the fandom things. Preserve the fandom things. Respect the fandom things.

Enjoy the fandom things.

(the jason one is in reference to the fanon headcanon/au that Jason and Damian potentially knew each other and interacted while jason was in the league. I've thought about it before in context of this au, but haven't thought about it enough to feel inspired or motivated to make a post exploring the idea)

(diablito means, as you can guess, 'little devil'. while i'm neutral to latino jason, i think the nickname is cute as fuck and was danny's main nickname from Jason. i don't wanna touch that timeline so im not gonna decide how old they were when Jason was there.)

Skulker: i am the ghost zone's greatest hunter! i capture and hunt creatures both rare and dangerous. Danyal: a poacher?? you're a poacher?? you poach animals??Skulker:...i sense i've made a mistake of some kind.

anyways that was the day that Skulker cemented himself as Danny's no.1 opp, and still remains there to this day even if he and Vlad are both viciously fighting for second. I cannot express enough that if your reaction, as a hobby artist, to not getting that many notes on your art is to say "maybe I should just stop doing art altogether" you need to stop posting art to tumblr

not necessarily forever, not even for long, but just stop putting your art on here and start doing it for you again, remember why you enjoyed doing art in the first place and stop relying on the attention of faceless people on the internet for your enjoyment of your hard work

believe me, I get it, nothing crushes the artistic soul quite like labouring for hours on a piece only for it to get like 10 notes, so you need to find your own source of joy in the act of creation and a lot of the time that means making art and not showing it to anybody
