I'm tired of repulsed "positivity" posts always having "but romance negativity is bad" tacked on, as if t comes along with repulsion. Because Repulsion positivity needs a disclaimer because we are always seen as being negative. it's always "Sex and romance repulsion is valid AS LONG AS you're not Sex negative ^^" never just "Sex and romance repulsion is valid." end of sentence.
this ALWAYS happens on repulsed posts. We are always paired with sex negativity. And Im so sick and fucking tired of it. You never see this on sex and romance favorable posts. you never see people tack on how favorable people shouldn't push toxic sex positivity and shame people for not having sex.
I do not care if you think repulsed people are "prone to being sex negative" that thought process alone SHOWS that you don't understand us and don't fully support us. I hate you. I'm tired. It's obvious you see us as less willing of support all because you assume we are sex negative, a sentiment that gets tacked onto us for simply expressing our repulsion. I hate you. I'm tired.
I'm tired.
I'm tired.

"stop asking the actors playing two characters who could be reasonably paired up about whether or not they're gonna be paired up!!" Brother if this was a man and a woman what do you think every interviewer would be asking them about?
I promise Oliver Stark and Ryan Guzman are grown adults who've been working in the industry for a while and asking them what they think about a popular pairing involving them that has significant history in the show is not going to break them. I promise when bisexual Buck became a reality neither of them expected that interviewers wouldn't ask this question. I promise it's not offensive for interviewers or fans to make it known they are curious about what this means for the possibility of pairing up Eddie and Buck romantically even though it's not the current storyline, and I guarantee that if one of them was a woman both of them would currently be in their sixth consecutive year fielding this question, instead of their first few weeks.
Breathe.
And stop treating the question as annoying or shameful just because you've internalized that We Don't Talk About Gay Ships -- or rather because this time, unlike the last few interviews, the answer made you uncomfortable and it's easier to fall back onto that rule than contend with it. It's a bad rule.

HUGE step forward for gender diversity and progress moving forward in our sport!
Skate Canada has officially announced a change in the rule book for Ice Dance and Pairs teams that will allow for teams of any gender composition to compete at local and National competitions, instead of limiting teams to (1) man and (1) woman.
This is such a marked achievement, and I really hope we see more National organizations and the ISU follow suit <3

my childhood memory of jetko is so funny though because I really did think it was way bigger than it was. I saw maybe 7 drawings on Deviantart and found one very prolific doujin artist and was like yeag.... this IS as big a ship as kataang or zutara... to ME.... my Roman Empire....

regarding common tropes about ganon's writing in fics, I am kind of always taken aback a little anytime ganondorf uses degrading sexist terms in fics and such. Because to me, even his most evil interpretations would probably have no reason to have negative associations with women who have sex a lot, unless he picked it up from elsewhere (like there's some room for it to be interesting psychologically speaking if that's directly addressed, but it never is). I'm not sure why the gerudos would ever cultivate these kind of misogynistic ideas in their own culture, or why Ganondorf would spontaneously decide to form any essentialist ideas he may potentially develop on the basis of promiscuity, of all things. And, if he would pick that up from Hyrule... why would he, why this, and how does that map out with him remaining proudly gerudo in most iterations if he sees any non-married woman getting funky in a negative way?
it's kind of a very small thing, but it does kind of beckons a lot of questions regarding worldbuilding and psychology and it tends to take me out of fics a little, because it's always kind of assumed and never investigated

Um…
“He followed her around the woods until she agreed to have sex with him. She only had sex with him to get her to leave her alone.”
I have never heard such an ignorant statement in my entire life. 😢༼ಢ_ಢ༽
I only watched 5x11 once and that was when I first watched the show. Which was December 2022. And I know full and damn well that that is not how it went down. I have a clear memory of what happened. And that ain’t it.
Klaus did not say to Caroline, “I’ll leave you alone and leave Hellhole Falls forever if you let me eat your coochie/let me fuck.” 🙄
No. I specifically remember him asking her for her confession about him. About her feelings for him. Not once did he ever imply that he wanted her to have sex with him in exchange for him leaving Mystic Falls. He asked for the truth. It was not a transaction for sex in exhange for him fucking leaving Mystic Falls.
Klaus: I want your confession.
Caroline: About what? I didn’t do anything!
Klaus: About me.
He asked for her honesty. He promised her that he was leaving town for good and the only thing that he asked her for was her honesty. He had always respected Caroline for her honesty and he asked to be real this last time.
Stop making it out to be like he coerced her into sleeping with him. As I recall, Caroline was the one who kissed him. Not the other way around. She said in 5x15, that it was her choice to sleep with Klaus and she even told Kat that it felt good to kiss him. It was HER choice. Not once did he ever force her into doing something that she did not want to do. Nor did he compel her. You must be getting Klaus mixed up with the town’s number one sexual predator.
⬇️🙄
⬆️ He sleeps with the women he compels by the way. *cough cough* They have no free will meaning that they cannot consent. *cough cough* He also tries to kiss women after they reject him. But Caroline is called a thot for what happened to her, for hating Damon, and for actually feeling disturbed that Elena was with him. Even though Caroline was coming from a place of worry. Wouldn’t you be worried if your friend was hooking up with your abuser? Wouldn’t you be concerned if your friend was sire bonded to the guy who is possibly abusing your friend the same way he abused you? And people act like what Damon did to Andi is isn’t an issue because she’s “irrelevant,” although the shit he did was disturbing. Just because Andi wasn’t a huge character like the main gang doesn’t mean that what Damon did to her should be brushed over. It was disturbing. And if y’all lie and say that what Damon did to Care and Andi was not SA, then you and your mother will be receiving the blocked button. I will not argue with you. Keep it in the fucking drafts.
Klaus is not the same as Damon. Sorry not sorry. And don’t y’all dare bring up the scene that happened in the woods in 4x01. He gave her a warning. “Wrong place, wrong equipment,” or something like that. If he wanted her only for sex and was a creep like Damon, and had no respect for Caroline, then he would have acted as if he was Tyler and slept with her while he was in Tyler’s body or fucking compelled her. But he didn’t do either of those things. Klaus respects Caroline. Period. You can come up with whatever bullshit excuse you want. I don’t give a damn. Also, the Damon is a Demon gif is not mine.

I want the albatross symbolism to come back later in the season. I want Ed to learn that the ‘impossible birds’ that never land, they mate for life, and even after years apart, they always find their way back to their mate.
I ALSO WANT HIM TO LEARN THAT THEY CAN BE GAY.

There are places where I think a sex scene can dramatically impact a story in a way that enriched the viewing experience and conveys important information. There are movies and/or tv shows in which this happens. I haven’t seen any of them. So much of the time it’s there to do exactly what it says on the tin. A woman and a man are banging. Sure. Fine. Happy for them. It’s just a literal scene used to pull a bit of a ‘well you didn’t think THEY would be involved’ plot twist or a ‘we’re so edgy’ signal. The only show so far that I’ve seen that uses sex scenes as an actual tool of storytelling is Black Sails, and the reason it works in Black Sails is that the sex is Bad. People are bored. People are distracted. The characters are so bound up with the plot that it’s physically prevented them from fucking like normal human beings. That works. The rest doesn’t
