I wonder what kind of relationship Sam and Jim will have in SNW. In the finale, my personal impression was that Sam doesn’t really agree with the way Jim does things, and he has a skewed impression of him (perhaps as an older brother whose younger brother is more “successful” and perhaps more “popular” - from Sam’s POV)
Sam is someone who doesn’t like conflict and most likely likes to walk a straight path.
Jim is someone who will try to look for options, and sometimes will come up with solutions that to an outsider seem wild. Sam most likely doesn’t approve of Jim cheating on Kobayashi-maru, but a test where your option is death or death is just not something Jim can accept - if other lives are at stake. (And he often tries to find a solution where he can survive as well because he doesn’t have any intention to die, because to accept death, would be to give up - in his mind - and he doesn’t like to lose.) [I also kind of think that the fandom - and not just fandom - took Kirk’s “I don’t like to lose” in TWOK at face value and interpret it as him being too full of himself and breaking rules - because that line was related to the Kobayashi-maru test - but imho it isn’t about him per se, it’s about safety of those he’s in charge of.]
Sam (and Pike)’s assessment that Jim is a deck of wild cards is honestly just a bias of an older brother, rather than something objective. He cares about his mission and bringing his ship, his people to safety, he cares about protecting the galaxy. He doesn’t try to undermine someone else’s orders and bend them to his will. Sometimes, a reinterpretation is needed and that’s what Kirk mainly does. What Pike did in s1 a couple times too.
When I first saw the episode, the conversation between Sam and Pike really threw me off, but now when I rewatched the episode a few days ago (and a year later lol), I can see that the episode was done in a way where what Sam said was contradicted in the episode itself. They used Sam to make Pike doubt Jim, to make him think that he should be stopping Jim from doing something bad, which probably caused him not to truly listen to Jim when Jim offered good ideas. And Jim listened to the senior captain, because that’s what Jim does. And it cost him his ship and lives of his crew.
(Yes, of course that Sam said that Jim was a fine captain, but his whole demeanor in that scene was very... idk “I like my brother but... wouldn’t trust him that much, he might cost us this battle”)
But I wonder if this Sam’s attitude will be there when Jim is a lieutenant as well, or not.
yeah, anyway, just another pointless Kirk post lol (it was supposed to be about the brothers, but... I have a one-track mind) but I kind of put some things into perspective for myself while thinking and typing it lol

trigger warning: colby is killed, vengeful!sam, murders, blood mention, gun violence, cursing, slight gore?, legal terms/tech items probably not used 1000% accurately (cut me some slack i only have BA in theater), sam and colby aren’t famous but they do live in LA, dark ending, ANGST
word count: 4732
~~~~~~~~
Your brother was always the black sheep of the family, the "fuck-up" if you will. On the outside, to everyone else, he seemed like a good kid. But your brother tended to have sticky palms and a short temper, constantly causing fights inside your family. He never got caught, luckily for him. You weren't really close because of your age gap, and neither one of you had anything in common.
But you were family, nonetheless.
The night he came home from a night out was ingrained in your head: his clothes covered in blood, his body shaking, the whites of his eyes bloodshot.
The knife still in his hand...
"I think I killed someone." His voice barely above a pin drop.
He was immediately arrested, charged with second degree murder. But he fought it, claiming self-defense.
The person he killed was some 24-year old named Colby Brock. According to your brother, they met outside of a club in downtown LA. They started talking, and the next thing your brother knew was the guy was swinging at him, trying to knock your brother out. He was scared of Colby and defended himself against his attack. You believed your brother, even though there was this voice in the back of your head that made you think he wasn't telling the truth. But you stuck by him, much like the rest of your family.
Your brother's legal defense team was good. They argued that while your brother illegally had his knife concealed, it was in his right to protect himself from a criminal like Colby: a man who had trespassing and fake ID charges. Though those felonies were dropped down to misdemeanors, it was cemented into some of the jury's minds that to some degree, your brother did the right thing by killing Colby.
But then multiple people in Colby's life were called up to the stand to talk about how wonderful he was, how gentle of a soul he had. His best friend, Sam Golbach, did his best not to cry while on the stand, his eyes remaining cold and distant. The final question he was asked was "What will your life be like without Colby in it?"
His piercing blue eyes landed on you, his voice low and monotone as he glared. "I can't see my life without Colby in it. But I plan to make every day count from now on... until justice is served."
After Sam’s testimony, your brother’s legal team believed that the jury might be persuaded to find him guilty. Eventually, a deal was given to your brother: plea no contest and reduced charge from second degree to manslaughter in exchange for information he had on some high-profile thieves, and he would only have to go to jail for five years max. Your brother saw his opportunity and took it. Colby's family and friends wanted your brother to be in jail longer, but nothing changed.
After the trial, you were quoted in the media multiple times saying that your brother was a good person who did a bad thing. And now he was paying the price.
Sam didn't think so.
A month after your brother's sentencing, your father believed someone had broken into your house: his evidence being the unlocked front door, something he swore he didn’t do. The cops concluded nothing was stolen and there was no forced entry if someone did break in. So, your father installed security cameras all over the house and yard.
And things went back to normal. Or, as normal as they could be.
You would talk to your brother occasionally, writing letters back and forth and calling when you could. After a year in jail, he told you because of his good behavior, he was probably going to get out sooner. He felt so smug about it, even joking that he basically got away with murder.
"What do you mean? You're literally calling me from jail." You rolled your eyes at him.
He chuckled through the phone. "Well let's say for arguments sake, that asshole never really saw it coming."
"What are you-" You started.
He cut you off, his voice lower than before, but remaining upbeat. "His back was to me. He wasn't throwing punches or trying to hurt me. I mean come on, that kid weighed like 150. I bench-press double that."
Your heart dropped, "He wasn't… attacking you?"
"No. I just wanted his jewelry. I knew that shit would sell a pretty penny. It was basically all Gucci." He stated calmly.
Your breaths coming out labored, you screeched. "Why did you kill him then?!"
He explained coolly. “I threatened him, he tried to run, so I grabbed him and stabbed him from behind. He should have just given me his shit."
A silent tear streamed down your face, the sudden horror of your brother’s crimes hitting you. “I knew it. I knew you killed him on purpose.”
You stopped talking to your brother after that.
You knew you should have listened to the voice inside your head.
~~~~
Sam didn't know how things spiraled out so quickly. He never planned to get obsessed with you, but it just... happened.
Something came over him one night, and he knew he had to go to your house after all the attention had died down. His curiosity got the best of him, since the media had leaked your address.
Truthfully, he just wanted to see the type of life you were living.
The type of life Colby no longer got to live.
But before he went over, he prepared himself. Bought some important items.
When he drove by your house, the lights were off, the cars gone from the driveway. You were out with your dad, he assumed.
Sam walked up to your house, a potted plant by the door sticking out to him. He lifted it, finding a key underneath.
Slowly, he entered your house, making sure to not touch anything. Your house was nice. Modest, even.
Luck must have been a lady, because you had left your phone at home. And, you guys had a landline as well.
He bugged both, not a second thought crossing his mind while he did it.
And he left as quickly as he came.
He drove by again a couple days later, seeing a new sign sitting in your yard: 'Protected by Homeline Security'.
It didn't take much effort to break into your newly installed, wifi connected, cameras.
Your password is ‘password123’? You deserve this. Sam thought.
And so he watched, and listened, for a whole year. He wasn’t sure what he was listening for, but something in him told him to keep doing it.
Sam worked from home, so it was easy to constantly keep tabs on you and your father. He became a hermit, staying inside and slowly learning everything about you guys: how often you ate pizza for dinner, when your doctor’s appointments were, the family secrets you hid, but most importantly…
How your brother was doing in prison.
At first, Sam didn’t want to listen to those conversations, the sound of your brother’s voice alone making him want to burn down all of Los Angeles. But the first time he heard your brother say he wasn’t doing well, it brought a smile to his face, so he kept listening.
After a year, Sam started to feel this aching voice in the back of his head, a familiar one that he had grown to miss desperately.
Brother, what are you doing? You’re wasting your life staying inside and obsessing over them. Let it go. The voice spoke softly. Let me go.
Tears flowed down Sam’s face. He knew it was right. As terrible as it was, he needed to let Colby go. Colby wouldn’t have wanted Sam to stay inside and stop living just because he wasn’t around anymore.
He began to pay less and less attention to you and your house, slowly making plans to move out of California altogether. He was thinking of going back to Kansas, or maybe even Hawaii, since that was Colby’s favorite place and one of the best vacations the two of them had gone on.
But then he heard it. The one thing he realized he was waiting to hear.
“...that asshole never really saw it coming." Your brother laughed.
Sam homed in on your brother’s voice, his chuckle making Sam’s stomach drop.
Your brother cut you off quickly. "His back was to me. He wasn't throwing punches or trying to hurt me. I mean come on, that kid weighed like 150. I bench-press double that."
“Fuck…” Sam whispered, his eyes widening with every word.
"No. I just wanted his jewelry. I knew that shit would sell a pretty penny. It was basically all Gucci." Your brother replied smoothly.
Your scream broke through Sam’s thoughts. "Why did you kill him then?!"
Your brother grunted back. “I threatened him, he tried to run, so I grabbed him and stabbed him from behind. He should have just given me his shit."
A pause fell over the line, Sam holding his breath, white knuckling his desk.
You choked out. “I knew it. I knew you killed him on purpose.”
The call ended, but Sam remained in his seat. He wasn’t sure how long he stayed still, but suddenly he jolted up and ran to the bathroom, throwing up immediately.
Your brother’s words echoed in his mind repeatedly. He felt sick to his stomach knowing that your brother killed Colby… for his jewelry…
For his dumb, fucking, jewelry.
Sam rested his body against the sink, splashing cool water against his face. He looked at himself in the mirror.
His face no longer looked youthful; his appearance ragged, the bags under his eyes a deep purple, hair knotted and disheveled.
His thoughts landed back on you.
You knew your brother was a terrible person, and you did nothing about it.
You let your brother get away with this.
You… had to pay.
But how?
~~~~
Back when everything had started to fall apart in your life, you thought your brother was to blame. It was like the moment he admitted to killing Colby, everything fell to shit. A curse was placed on you and your life.
Now you realize it wasn’t your brother’s fault, so to speak. It was Sam Golbach’s.
He was the curse.
The problems started out small, almost unnoticeable. When your bank account was suddenly empty, you felt uneasy but didn’t think much of it. Your address had been leaked, and maybe someone did break into your house all those months ago. You got your card changed and money back and things were okay again.
But then, two weeks later, your brothers favorite bar burned down. No one saw anything, but the police knew it wasn’t an accident.
You tried to ignore the signs, but like all bad things… it had to come in threes.
Your dad had to take your car to work, his car being in the shop at the time. You had just gotten it inspected and the day before everything seemed fine with it.
Then your dad got into a terrible accident. He lived but was put into a medically induced coma from the head trauma he suffered.
The police investigated, and it was found that your breaks had been cut. You thought the worst of your problems were over when your mechanic had been placed into custody.
But it was only the beginning.
Suddenly people around you were dropping like flies, being killed randomly and violently. First, it was your neighbor two doors down, in the middle of the night shot dead in her sleep. Next was your town’s high school principal, his house shot up while he was home alone. Then your older cousin, someone who lived completely out of state, shot in a parking lot. Then your brother’s childhood best friend, found shot in the woods during a camping trip.
You lived a nightmare inside your own house, afraid to even step outside. Every knock at your door startled you, every creaking floorboard jolting you awake at night. You never let anyone in, and the only time you left was to see your father in the hospital.
You bought a guard dog, hoping it would ward off any potential gunman, but instead one morning you woke up to it being stolen.
Even your fucking dog got taken away from you.
You alerted the police, explained to them that you think all of this is connected to you. They didn’t see the connection, and since your life hadn’t been threatened, there was no reason to think so.
While looking back over the media stories of your brother’s case, it all clicked for you.
All the people that had been killed, the people that you knew, all spoke up about your brother. Some had given testimony; some had talked to the local papers.
The last person on the list: you.
You spoke to the media last about your brother. Somebody was coming for you, but you didn’t know who it could be.
You told the police again, showing them the connection to the cases. While the police found it suspicious, there was no evidence on who the killer could possibly be. Each gun used to kill was different and no one saw anything. They believed that it was all one big coincidence.
You weren’t betting on the police, so you went into hiding. You had no other option in your mind. You quit your job, sold your possessions, gave the house over to a family friend since it was still owned by your comatose father, and left in the middle of the night.
All you could hope for was that if someone was coming after you, they wouldn’t find out where you hid.
For the first time in weeks, you felt safe. The cabin you had from one of your distant uncles being the only spot you could think of to hide away. It was in the middle of a forest, hours away from your old home. You left to go on hikes occasionally, and only went into town once to get groceries. So far, you were doing good.
You kept in touch with your family friend that was staying over at your father’s house. That was the only person you had to the outside world. You told them that if they didn’t hear from you every day, that means you’re in trouble and to send the police immediately.
You took a deep breath outside your cabin, finally getting back after a long hike. The fresh forest air felt refreshing in your lungs. You couldn’t wait to get back inside and finish up the puzzle you had been working on for the past couple days.
You walked in, sliding your shoes off quickly, and walking over to your kitchen, grabbing a water bottle out of the fridge. You took a long sip of water, placing the bottle down softly.
A floorboard behind you creaked with a heavy weight.
Before you could grab anything, an arm wrapped around your neck, choking you violently. You struggled against the hold you were in, scratching and clawing at the person’s arm. Their arm tightened harder around your throat, causing your screams to muffle into gurgles. You gripped the back of the person’s head, trying to rip their hair out. They grunted loudly, pulling you towards the fridge, and slamming your head into the door. The first blow knocked the wind out of you, making the world spin around you slowly.
As your eyes tried to refocus, the reflection of dark blonde hair and intense blue eyes bore back at you, the same eyes you made contact with two years ago in court.
And then, with a second hard slam into the fridge, it was lights out.
~~~~
It was an interesting feeling to finally see you in person, after all those times of staring at you through a screen.
Sam had watched you for almost two years every day, and now you were in front of him. Incapacitated, but nonetheless in front of him.
Oh, the things Colby would say to him now.
He stopped hearing his voice at some point, Sam couldn't remember when. But once the voice of reason left, there was nothing Sam could do besides follow his darkest thoughts.
Sam reached over, lightly tapping your face a couple times. It had bruised within the hours you had been out. Your body laid awkwardly against your binds, a mixture of duct tape and rope. Sam wasn't good at tying knots, he never did go through boy scout training like Colby, so using duct tape was a must.
He grew impatient, knowing time for him was running thin, so he reached over again and slapped you hard, startling you awake.
He watched as you took a moment to recognize your predicament, your eyes adjusting and widening at the sight of him. You let out a shriek against your gag, Sam shaking his head.
"I'll take that off if you want, since I figure you have a couple things to say to me. But just so you know, no one is gonna hear you. The closest cabin is throwing a party so screaming isn't gonna do anything besides annoy me,” Sam spoke, his voice dry. “Okay?"
You glared but nodded slowly.
"Perfect." He whispered, taking both ends of the duct tape and ripping them off in one go.
You stretched out your jaw and mouth, the tape residue burning your skin.
Sam cleared his throat, sitting back down against the table. “So... what's your first question?”
“How?” You started, exhaling hard. “How did you find me?”
“Well, for one thing, you're in your family's cabin. It might not be your immediate family, but it's not hard to find out the connection. But if you're wondering how I knew you were gonna come here... it's because I've been listening.” He admitted, crossing his arms.
“Listening?” You questioned.
“Your dad is a smart man. Smart men notice when things are out of place, like a door being left unlocked. It was easy to break in, bug the place, and sneak out before I was noticed.” Sam shrugged, smirking darkly, “But... he wasn't smart enough to realize your breaks were cut, so I guess he's not too smart.”
“I knew you were the one that's been torturing me! You're the one that's been causing me all this pain and stress!” You spat, lurching forward in your chair.
He jumped up, getting closer to you. “Of course it was me! Who the fuck you think it would be, Colby from beyond the grave? His parents? I meant what I said in court.”
You begged, “But why me? I'm not the one that killed your friend.”
“I know that! But what the fuck am I supposed to do while your brother happily sits in prison? Sit by? Relax? Wait until he's out early on good behavior and then kill him?” Sam ranted, stepping even closer.
“Is that your plan? You're gonna kill him and me?” You choked out, holding back tears.
“No. Just you,” He responded coldly, turning away. “Him... I have other plans.”
“If you're upset that he didn't get a longer sentence, be upset with the courts, not with me or my family!” You shouted, shaking against your binds.
He deadpanned. “I can be upset with both, actually. I can compartmentalize very well.”
Your chest heaved with your heavy inhales. “So, you stole my information, burned down that bar, cut the brakes on my car, killed all those people and my dog because your one friend died? You're fucking sick.”
Sam spun back around, his face shocked. “Woah, who said anything about killing your dog? I just dropped it off at a shelter a state over. You know, he wasn't a very good guard dog.”
“I'm surprised you didn't kill him.” You hissed.
He scoffed. “I'm not a monster. And besides, Colby wouldn't like that. He loved animals so much.”
“I'm sorry my brother killed your friend. But Colby wouldn't want you to do this either.” You pleaded.
“You don't get to speak for him,” Sam pushed his gun against your temple, his breath fanning your face. “And your words mean nothing because you knew the truth and lied.”
You stammered. “W-what?”
“Do you know the last conversation you had with your brother?” He asked, taking a step back.
You scrunched up your face. “...No?”
“I remember it, clear as day.” He gasped dramatically, “Here, I even recorded it.”
Sam pulled his phone out, playing a soundbite of your voice. It echoed off the walls of the cabin, deafening your ears.
"I knew it. I knew you killed him on purpose."
Your ragged breaths ripped through your chest, tears spilling from your eyes.
“It was one thing to have your brother get up in front of everyone and say Colby attacked him. I knew that was a lie from the fucking beginning. But for you to just... go along with it, even though you knew he lied; now that... is worth dying over.” Sam chucked his phone across the cabin, shattering it against the wall, “I'm surprised you can even live with yourself. Personally, if I was you, I would have just killed myself.”
Your voice spilled out clumsily, any courage you had breaking. “I-I didn't... really kn-”
Sam brought the gun closer to your face again, pressing it against your cheek. “You didn't really know? Or are you just saying that because you think I'm gonna blow your brains out now?”
Your heart banged against your chest, making it hard to catch your breath. “I-I wasn't-t…”
Sam sucked his teeth, “C'mon now. Stuttering isn't gonna help your case. Speak clearly. Did you, or did you not, believe your brother when he said it was self-defense?”
You squeezed your eyes shut, praying that this was all just a nightmare.
With each of his words, he tapped the gun against your forehead, his mouth pressed against your ear. “Answer. The fucking. Question.”
You knew the truth, he knew the truth. Lying wasn’t going to help you now.
You croaked, confessing. “No… I didn't believe him. I thought he might have been lying, but I didn't know.”
“So you allowed him to get up in court, smear lies about Colby, and basically walk away scot-free?” He grunted.
“What was I supposed to do?!” You screamed.
“Tell the court how terrible of person you thought he was! Explain all the temper issues he had growing up, all the times he stole! The multiple threats of boarding school! All the things you gladly complained about in your own house!” Sam roared, his voice booming off the walls, “Anything would have been better than just sticking by his side and allowing him to get away with his crime! You are just as guilty as him!”
Your hoarse voice yelled back, “I didn't kill your friend!”
“Colby was more than just my friend! He was my family! My brother!”
Sam collapsed to the ground, gun dropping to the side of him. He dropped his head into his knees, shaking quietly. The rope and duct tape irritated the skin of your wrists and ankles raw as you struggled feebly. The heavy silence over the cabin made your skin crawl; watching Sam like a hawk, wondering what his next move was.
“I never planned to do all of this, you know? I never meant to get so obsessed with you, with your family,” Sam’s voice broke the silence, his head still down. “I don't even know what made me break into your house that night and bug your phones. But it was like I knew something was missing. Like, something didn't make sense in the case. So I listened to you guys, watched you, for months on end. I listened to your stupid stories about your dumb fucking lives so much so that I stopped living my own. And just as I was about to give up, to leave this God forsaken state and try to move on, your brother admitted to lying. And you admitted to knowing...”
He hummed an almost laugh, sliding his head against the wall. “And it was like... I found my purpose again.”
You trembled in your chair, your eyes on the floor of the cabin.
“Stealing your card information was easy. Didn't even think twice about posting your info onto some random forum and letting people go to town. Burning down the bar was a lot of effort, I will say. I almost caught myself on fire,” Sam snickered, standing up slowly. “I gotta tell you, gasoline is one hell of an accelerant.”
“And cutting your brakes, now that was hard. Paying off the mechanic to do it was scary, because I thought, if this guy fucks up or sells me out, I'm done for. But a couple grand can really persuade just about anyone.” Sam shrugged, closing in on you again, “Not to mention your brother stole from the mechanic once, so he didn't mind fucking up your car when he realized you were his sister.”
You shook your head, more tears pouring from your eyes.
His voice was low as he walked around you, pacing slowly. “I honestly didn't think anything would happen. I kinda thought you wouldn't be able to get the car out of the driveway before the brakes cracked, but when I found out your dad was in the car driving, and had gotten into an accident, and then was placed into a coma... it all just kinda hit me.”
He grabbed your face, making you look him in the eyes. “Your dad almost dying... brought me so much joy. I knew then I had to start paying people back for what they did to Colby. I haven't known this type of happiness since before he was murdered. So, in a weird way, I guess I should thank you for making me happy again.”
You snarled, jerking your face out of his hand. “You’re disgusting. You killed everyone that spoke up for my brother.”
“Yep,” he popped the ‘p’ obnoxiously. “And you're the last to go. Don’t you feel special?”
“What do you gain from killing us? Colby isn't gonna be brought back.” You retorted pathetically.
“I know, I'm not crazy. But knowing that when your brother gets out of prison, early I might add, there won’t be a single support system left for him to depend on, and that makes me borderline giddy,” Sam half giggled, biting his lip. “You'll be dead, your father will be comatose, and all the people around him that cared to speak about him will be dead and gone too. Your brother will be as alone as I’ve felt since Colby's murder. But instead of suffering for two years, it will be the rest of his life. And that just makes me happy.”
Sam reloaded his gun, closing his eyes for a moment.
“Please don't do this. I don't want to die.” You cried out.
“I imagine Colby said something like that too, and your brother showed him no mercy, so why should I show you any?” Sam growled, his body stiff. “I gotta even in the playing field. One sibling… for another.”
Headlights suddenly lit up the house, bright lights shining through all the windows.
"Come out with your hands up!" A voice belted.
“Damn, your friend really followed your instructions to a T, huh.” Sam tsked, glancing out the window.
You sobbed loudly, knowing your fate was sealed. “You'll never get away with this!”
He raised an eyebrow. “I don't plan to.”
Sam placed the gun against your head, finger grazing the trigger.
“Any last words?” He questioned, his breath speeding up.
“Open the door now!” Another voice bellowed.
“Burn in hell.” You sneered helplessly.
“Aww, don't worry, sweetheart…” Sam leaned in, his eyes glaring into yours one final time. “I'm taking you with me.”
The sound of two gunshots ran off, one right after the other. Cops busted through the door, pointing their guns at the bodies splayed in the middle of the cabin. Blood poured from Sam’s head onto the floor, your frame held upright from the binds alone as blood spilled down your torso.
The bodies of you and Sam were still…
Lifeless.

Awsamdude/Technoblade- Rumor Has It
For my beloved @sugarandspicebutnonice
Warnings: sexual innuendo
Tumblr media
    Techno was a great Prince. He worked hard to keep his family's name in good graces. All of Phil's boys worked hard to keep their names held high with respect. Tommy was known around for keeping sprits high, any ball or formality with Tommy was always known as the best to attend.
   His older brother Wilbur was a skilled artisan with music. Always teaching and making new sounds like it wasn't any struggle. Anyone could find him out in the court yard with a guitar in hand. Humming and singing a casual song.
   The eldest, Technoblade was a skilled swordsman and statists. Anytime he was called into a meeting, the others shuddered knowing he would trump them all. He made swinging a sword look like art. Trust me, you would know.
   You had a wonderful relationship with techno for a long time. But sadly, you both had parted away from each other. Of course, it was on all good terms, He was more concerned with the kingdom rather than establishing a strong and sturdy relationship.
   You, being a knight- fully understood. But you also choose to be a bit selfish about it. You truly wished for him to give you a bit of attention at least when together. He could be such a ladies man when he choose to in public, yet when it came to the two of you he just became closed off and anything but warm. Even behind closed doors it was lacking some spark of passion.
   So you both agreed it was best to let things lie.
  But what left you with a sour taste was how quickly he moved on.
Tumblr media
   You would give him the benefit of the doubt of course, he was a well known man. She could have been someone he had met previously, and during your break off she was there to talk it out with him.
She, she ain't real
   But something about her screamed fake, her smile and movements seemed too thought through. Her words all laced with a sickening sweet hum, it also didn't help she giggled at basically anything techno said.
    Plenty of times you sat with the general and talked about how dense she came off. Respectfully, you had assumed Tech would have went for a well educated woman such as yourself. But after seeing her- you wondered if that type was in short supply.
   Anything she did, she would just bat her eyes and he was wrapped around his finger.
   It honestly made Sam and you laugh.
She ain't gonna be able to love you like I will
   As much as you started to loathe the woman, techno wasn't yours anymore. Thus you started getting closer to Sam. Both of you connecting on how your past relationships had been. Well you were casted aside, Sam was flatly cheated on.
   Of course knowing that, your heart ached for him. Sam was a well educated and handsome man with a heart of gold. Respectfully his whole job was centered on protecting and serving the people.
   Jumping into a relationship was Sam was like practically nothing. You promised him all the love in the world, and just like you, he promised to give you the same.
   And love each other you did.
She is a stranger
   Techno did see you grow close to his general, and honestly it didn't set well with him.
   He liked the woman he was with, but he also had known you since childhood. You both had played within the court yard plenty of times to claim it as your own.
   Sam didn't do that with you. Sam had only started to know you when you joined the ranks.
   Techno would often catch himself watching you and Sam spar. His eyes would watch as Sam's hand grabbed at your waist, gripping your hips and using his own to throw you off balance. He hated how close your bodies were.
   At one point he couldn't help but pull you aside and ask why you let him touch you. But that conversation drove spikes through his heart. "How can you just let him touch you like that?! He’s practically all over your body! You wouldn't let me touch you like that- and You and I have history" he yelled not believing what he saw.
   When your face twisted in front of him into disgust, he thought you were almost joking. "The hell is with you?! I'm not your girlfriend! Or don't you remember!?" You yelled at him. Lightly shoving him back from you. "Don't tell me where he can, and cannot touch me" You sneered. In all his years he never saw you so heated.
Sure, she's got it all
   Truthfully you saw techno leave you as a drop to his pride. He dropped a knight for a soft noble girl. A girl babied all her life. You knew as soon as she was exposed to blood she would have fainted like a goat in pasture. But in the end of the day, you weren't sleeping with her so what did it matter?
But, baby, is that really what you want
Tumblr media
   Arguments between Technoblade and you had become more frequent. Sam let you duke it out, he knew he had no place to tell you to leave it be. Sam also didn't appreciate how fast Techno jumped onto your case about finding someone else.
   Although he knew it irked you about Techno moving on, you never got in his face about it like he would. Sam viewed this as your way of showing you were the bigger person.
   On one particular day he found the arguments amusing. Techno had started up again when Sam was publicly teasing you. Well techno found your back talking distasteful, Sam relished with how powerful you were.
   Listening to techno ramble off on his pathetic reasonings left you a laughing mess, even to the point you cut his argument off. "Bless your soul, you've got you're head in the clouds, she's going to use you like a fool!" You laughed in his face.
   His jaw tightened as he spat at your words, pointing at Sam. "You made a fool out of you General. She doesn't even love you- Your wasting your time on a-" at Tech's words you couldn't help but push back even harder for him targeting Sam.
   "How dare you say that. Your common penny is getting around more than I- And, boy, she's bringing you down!" You called out. Putting a finger to his chest. "She made your heart melt- But its all a lie!" You didn't stop their, you had more to say to him. "She thinks your all that- a fairy tale prince to save her dreams! But you're cold to the core" you said to him. Causing him to back off.
   "Besides. Now rumor has it she ain't got your love anymore"
Tumblr media
Rumor has it, ooh, Rumor has it, ooh, Rumor has it, ooh
   You weren't lying. Their were plenty of rumors going around saying she was sleeping with others besides Techno. Although Sam and you had no proof to this. Your hunches seemed right.
   On one day, Sam had left for a out of village meeting. You really didn't mind, you trusted him enough and knew he wouldn't do anything behind your back.
   But sadly you wished to go with him. Techno had asked for you to join him for a round of chess. Something you both greatly enjoyed when together. But now you knew there was meaning to the game.
   Sure enough when you sat with in in the court yard, he brought up Sam.
   "You know he is much older than you..." he said as he moved his knight across the board.
   "And She is half your age" you said flatly. Picking your pawn up. "But I'm guessing that's the reason that you stayed" you said moving it to where you pleased. His brows drew together in slight anger. But he did try and keep his calm.
   "I heard you've been missing me" he said, a small smirk growing on his lips. He found pride within those rumors. Knowing that you still supposedly whined and withered about for him.
   Of course, you knew he was gravely mistaken.
   "You've been telling people things that you shouldn't be" you said carefully. Knowing he was probably behind the rumors somehow.
   Techno took this moment to see if he still had a effect on you. Usually during chess you both would flirt a bit. So naturally, he took the chance. "Like when we creep out and she ain't around" he said bemused, your face twisting into disgust again.
   "I sneak out to see Sam... besides Haven't you heard the rumors" you said moving your queen. When he didn't respond you laughed. He didn't even under stand. "Bless your soul, you've got your head in the clouds" you said, fully amused within the moment.
   "C'mon darlin... I know you fell hard for me when we started dating..." he cooed to you. Your eyes darting up like daggers.
   "You made a fool out of me" you said to him. Wanting to get your point across. Well he moved his pawns about you took your moment to explain how you felt. "You make me sick to my stomach.. And, boy, you're bringing me down" you said softly. Smiling to yourself slowly. "You made my heart melt, yet I'm cold to the core" You said, moving your queen to take his knight. Your eyes slyly skimmed over his. His lost knight now within your fingers.
   "But rumor has it I'm the one you're leaving her for"
Tumblr media
   After that game, rumors and tensions soared wildly. Sam at one point thought you were back and evolved with Techno again. Of course you explained to him the situation, which thankfully he understood and apologized for trusting second hand mouths.
Rumor has it, ooh, Rumor has it, ooh, Rumor has it, ooh
All of these words whispered in my ear
   But Techno's mood plummeted fast...
Tell a story that I cannot bear to hear
   A engagement, specifically Sam and yours. Oh how his blood boiled at the news. He thought his hands all over you was bad, but now... now you would take Sam's name in law. You would he his wife. Not Techno's.
Just 'cause I said it, it don't mean that I meant it
   Because of this news he didn't hesitate to run and find you. More than hell-bent on giving you a piece of his mind. He wanted to make it clear you couldn't marry him.
People say crazy things
   He didn't care what people would say, he wanted to claim you again. Techno didn't want anyone else touching you. He especially didn't want Him touching you.
Just 'cause I said it, don't mean that I meant it
   Even if within the past week he yelled hurtful things to you, he hoped you would understand he just wanted to protect you from unworthy suitors. Sam couldn't provide for you like Techno could. Sam was a general born from a farmer. Technoblade was to be crowned king.
Just 'cause you heard it
   So their he stormed. Heading to the stables, knowing full well that's where you were. His anger was fuming. He couldn't wait to shove it in Sam's face that Techno wouldn't let you marry him.
   But lets just say Technoblade was the one left speechless in the end.
Rumor has it, ooh, Rumor has it, ooh Rumor has it, ooh,
   Especially when he slammed the door open to the stables and saw Sam's body covering yours, your legs around his waist in a tight hold well he was buried deep inside you.
But rumor has it he's the one I'm leaving you for

For A Lifetime
Tumblr media
Characters:
Husband!Bucky Barnes x Wife!Reader
Groom!Bucky Barnes x Bride!Reader
Summary:
You just got married to the man you love, and on the reception, you are asked to give a message to your husband.
Warning:
Fluff
You still can't believe that it's your wedding day, that you are finally married to the love of your life, that you are finally Mrs. Barnes. You find it so surreal and hard to believe that the man you are holding hands with right now is your husband and the man you'll grow old with.
Bucky has been your boyfriend for five years, you two owe your love story to Steve because it was him who introduced you to Bucky. Since then, you two were inseparable, until Bucky finally asked you to be his girl, and you gladly said yes. You two shared a beautiful relationship, traveled to a lot of places already, fought some issues and odds together, and five years later, he popped another question for you, the kind of question that changed your life forever. He asked you to marry him, and you did say yes, and after a few months of planning, here you are, finally Mrs. Barnes.
Realizing the years you and Bucky have been through, you tilt your head and glance at your husband who is sitting beside you. You and the rest of your guests are in the reception and the dinner is being served at the moment, but you are already full of love.
"So my Mrs. Barnes," Bucky glances at you and squeezes your hand that he's holding since the ceremony, "Do you want me to dismiss our guests so we could finally have time for ourselves?" he asked naughtily.
You chuckled and pinched his nose, "Let's not be rude, love. We have every time in the world to do whatever we want," you replied, giving his hand a squeeze, "For now, let's enjoy this night with our family and friends," you added.
Planning a wedding is one of the most stressful things you've done, but it was a good thing that many people helped you and Bucky all throughout the planning. Nat and Wanda helped you in finding the right wedding gown for this once in a lifetime milestone in your life, on the other hand, it was Steve and Sam who helped Bucky to find the best suit he could wear for this special day, and they did a great job, seeing your husband so dapper in his suit tonight.
Gathering all your family and close friends is kind of tough, but with the help of Nat and the rest of the team, everything you dreamed of about your wedding was made possible.
You and Bucky were still munching over the dessert when the microphone echoes right through the whole hall, which made you looked over the stage and you saw Steve standing in the middle holding a wine glass.
"Hey, everyone! Can I have everyone's attention please?" he asked.
You and Bucky exchanged glances, both puzzled with Steve's presence in the middle of the stage.
"What's this punk doing there?" Bucky whispered.
You shrugged, "I don't know. We'll see," you answered.
When Steve finally got everyone's attention, he cleared his throat and speaks again in the microphone, "I know it's not my place to start the message giving kind of thing, and I know Bucky is asking himself and his beautiful wife what am I doing here," he glances at you, which made you smile because of the thought that he called you Bucky's wife, "Well, to answer your question Buck, Nat asked me to start the message giving since I am the best man."
"It's not like I have any other choice, man," Bucky yelled, which made everyone laugh.
"Shut up, Buck. It's not your time to talk. Y/n, can you zip your husband's mouth, please?" Steve joked. He cleared his throat once again, "Anyway, Buck, I have no idea what to tell you right now. You're a great man and I don't need to tell you to be a faithful and a good husband to y/n because I know you will. I don't need to tell you to make her happy all the time because I know you will and you're already making her happy. I don't need to tell you the things that a husband does for his wife, because first, I have no idea how to be a husband, and second, I know you'll figure it out. And for you, y/n," Steve moved his eyes towards you, "I wish you had the best nights of sleep of your life because you won't be getting any now that you're married to this punk."
Everyone laughed again because of Steve's joke. You took a glance at Bucky who is still holding your hand to see his reaction to his best friend's joke, and he hurriedly wiped his mouth using his hand, trying to hide the embarrassment he felt because of Steve's joke.
Tumblr media
Steve playfully shook his head, "I think I might have an idea on what gift I should give Y/N on Christmas," he clicked his tongue, "I think I'm gonna get her bunch of Tylenol for her headaches," he joked, making everyone laugh again.
"'Gonna kill this man later," your husband murmured as he pulls you closer to him.
Bucky let go of your hand and wrapped his arms around you, you leaned towards him, feeling his warmth as you both listen to Steve's speech.
"Kidding aside, Y/N, you are married to a good man. Ever since he met you, there's not a day that he doesn't think of what will make you happy, of what will make you feel his admiration and love for you. When you two met, I saw something different in him. He learned how to trust people, even more, he learned to open up, not just to you but to everyone else. So Buck, y/n," he raised his wine glass, "I wish the two of you years of endless love and fruitful marriage. I may not be a husband to anyone, but I promise the two of you that I will be a good uncle to your little ones soon, not just that, I promise you two that I'll be here whenever you two needed a friend. I love you both! Let's cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Barnes, everyone!"
"Cheers!" everyone shouted.
"Cheers!" you and Bucky joined and after you two took a sip from your glasses, the two of you shared a quick kiss.
When Steve walked down the stage, he walked towards you and Bucky. It was you who he approached first and hugged you.
"Thank you, Steve," you thanked him as you hug him back, "Your presence means a lot to us. We love you too," you whispered.
Steve taps your back gently before he pulled away and hugs his pal next.
Seeing Bucky and Steve hug each other made you smile. You did not witness how their friendship started, but you have a lifetime to witness how their friendship will grow even more.
"Love you, Buck," Steve said as he hugs his best friend.
Bucky taps Steve's back, "Love you, brother," he answered.
Before Steve went back to his seat, he handed you the microphone, signaling that it's now your turn to give a message to your husband.
You happily accepted it and find your way to the stage.
"That's one of a good speech, Cap," you said looking at Steve who is now seated in the middle of Sam and Nat. You next took a glance one by one of your guests as you start your speech, "First things first, thanks to everyone for coming here tonight and for taking your time to celebrate this milestone with me and my husband," your eyes landed on Bucky, "God, I still can't believe you're my husband now."
Tears are starting to form in your eyes, and it's making your sight a bit blurry but it won't stop you from seeing the priceless smile on Bucky's face.
"Just like what my favorite song says, my soul found you and fell in love," you recited a part of your favorite song, For A Lifetime sung by Ryann Darling, "When Steve introduced you to me, I wasn't looking for anything, I was so tired of dating and ended up failing because I can't find the guy who would understand me. I promised myself I won't date anymore, but you happened," your eyes remained looking at Bucky as you continue your message for him, "It's like when we met, a voice came over to me and told me that I just found what I am looking and waiting for. I found it the moment we found each other. And I told myself, you are the most amazing man I've ever met in my entire life, apart from my Dad of course," you said glancing at your dad who is sitting behind Bucky.
When your eyes went back to Bucky, you saw him smile and looked down a bit.
Tumblr media
He must've remembered the time when he met your Dad. He was nervous as hell. He didn't know what to tell him, so he just told him that he loves you with all of his heart and soul. He told him he can barely give you anything, but he would be 100% willing to give you his whole heart and love.
"Buck," you called him and his eyes met yours again, "Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for bringing so much happiness to my life. Thank you. Just thank you," your tears finally run down your cheeks, "I love you."
As soon as those three words came out of your mouth, Bucky rapidly stood up from where he was sitting and went up to the stage with you. Once he was in front of you, he didn't waste any time, he kissed you.
"I love you more than life itself," he said after kissing you and gave you a quick kiss again. "Everyone," Bucky yelled and raised his wine glass, "Let's cheers for my beautiful wife. To Mrs. Barnes!" he cheered.
"To Mrs. Barnes!" everyone cheered.
You cupped Bucky's face and made him face you, "Love you," you said and rested your forehead against his nose.
Ryann Darling said on his song, my soul found you and fell in love, while for you, your soul found Bucky, fell in love, and stay in love forever.

I wonder a lot about Shapur's parents and Hilmes's mother. What kind of person was the previous queen? I headcanon Hilmes might sport a special kind of grudge towards Tahamenay for “seducing” his father, because he loved his mother a lot and well... he loved his father too and is/was unable to see his father doing any wrong aka betraying his mother so kid!Hilmes subconsciously transferred the blame onto Tahamenay and it stuck. (A parallel with Zandeh, if I say so! Both having huge amounts of faith in their fathers and thus being unable to see fault in them) (I can't say I blame Hilmes, even knowing what I know of novel spoilers Osroes was still a far superior father to Hilmes than Andragoras was to Arslan, imho) And I wonder when Shapur took the lordship of his lands, presumably when his father died? I wonder if Shapur admired his father at first, only for it to be shattered when the whole debacle with Isfan went down? I wonder a lot about Isfan's mother too. Gah, so many questions!!
Yes, so many questions! I wonder about these kinds of things a lot, too. I wish we were give more details about these family dynamics. Tanaka must have decided that they didn't have enough relevance / direct influence on the plot for it to be worth expanding on. It sucks that (as far as I'm aware) we don't even have a name for Hilmes's mother? She seems to exist within the story only as "Osroes's wife." I want to know how she felt about [insert spoiler here].
At least Arakawa drew her for us:
Tumblr media
I wish Tanaka had made more space for women in the story. Even the royal family tree included with Book 2 only includes the males.
Hilmes's mother died long before Tahamenay was brought back to Ecbatana, and given that context it's not quite so glaringly odd that Hilmes never seems to think of her (he's unlikely to remember her that well, and he's too busy being bitter about events that happened after her death). She was never actually queen, either; Gotarzes was still Shah at that point. A little snippet of info from Book 1, Chapter 2 (iii) : 'During his time as crown prince, Osroes had taken a wife at eighteen and by the following year had sired a son. After that, his wife passed away from illness, and he had never officially named a queen, preferring to maintain a bachelor’s lifestyle.'
Hilmes most definitely hates Tahamenay, though, referring to her as a 'witch who had seduced both his father and his uncle'.
Anyway, there was definitely love between Osroes and his wife. I hope we get to see a little bit more of their relationship illustrated by flashback later on.
There's definitely a bit of a theme with regards to characters either acknowledging their father's flaws or failing to accept them. I wrote some meta on this topic a while ago about Zandeh and Alfarid. As for Shapur, I’m sure he never looked at his parents the same way after he had to go and rescue Isfan. I assume the most common way to inherit land/titles is for them to pass to a designated heir when the holder dies, so it probably happened that way for Shapur. Or else his father could have stepped down due to illness or infirmity, I suppose. I like that when Shapur got called to Ecbatana to serve there as a military commander, Isfan was given the responsibility for his lands.
I would have loved to hear more about Isfan’s mother, too. I wonder whether Shapur had much contact with her, knowing that Isfan was his younger brother?
I wonder about Zandeh’s mother / Kharlan’s wife, too. Did she know what Kharlan knew before Atropatene? Does she ever get to see Zandeh again after he rides off to serve Hilmes? And what about Sam, did he have a wife and children?
Also I just have to mention how much I hate the fact that Tanaka, glossing over events in Pars during the timeskip between Parts 1 and 2, mentions all sorts of interesting stories that emerged, including one about ‘strange events entangled with the daughter of Hodir, Lord of Kashan Fortress’ and then never elaborates. I get the impression these stories may have varying levels of truth to them, but I want to know what happened and it’s not specified!
(There is also a mention of a travelling merchant who came all the way from Serica to pay a visit to Daryun... do you think he brought a message from Shinrian?)

Sam Winchester Master List
Main Master List
Pride Collection Master List 2021
Today is the day that I'm going to tell Sam my most important secret.
I've had this secret for years now. It started my last year in high school, and with Sam being the older brother is, when he left for college he took me with him.
Anyways, He got me set up in an apartment, he came and visited me every other day. Going to class, and just being normal was nice, and it lasted for a while.
There was a party for the seniors that year. I toyed with the idea of dressing up and going out or just stayin' home and studying. I was very much Sammy when it came to my schooling. Something that I'd just learned from him over the years.
I just made a choice deciding that one night of partying wouldn't hurt me or my schooling. So I dressed up in a short red dress, black flats, and the only thing I had taken with me before leaving Dean and John.
Slipping into a black jacket that was a size too big, but smelled like my older brother Dean. I grabbed my keys and left. I had never gone to a party if you don't include the father-daughter dance that John half-ass took me to the Sam ended up having to save me from. Or the random school dances that I had.
Showing up to this party everyone's eyes were on me. It was a weird sensation to be stared at but in a sorta good way. In a way that made me wonder.
Very quickly I had a few guys surrounding me, their actions were pointless as I ignored them, and I left them to discuss between themselves. One good thing that John has taught me was not to take shit from anyone, I think he forgot that also meant him.
But regardless of that, I went to go see if I could find a few friends. I was met with a beautiful woman, her long legs covered in jeans with thigh-laced-up boots and a relieving t-shirt.
It didn't click then, or later on when I was tapped on the shoulder by a taller version of the woman. He had short blonde hair, dressed like every other jock, but the immediate feeling, sense I got from him was nothing but lust.
Now it's been seven years, seven years for me to try out things with many different people, and figuring myself out along the way. I've come to the conclusion that I don't just like the men that serve me coffee in the morning, or the women that I do yoga with.
Sam's older now, just by a year his beautiful wife and his kids, live in a small starter home at the end of our quiet town. Sam's wife has always taken a liking to me. And their kiddos call me Auntie.
It all around a great part of my life to be around my family. To be around so much love and admiration for each other. But the fear of saying the truth, the fear of telling my older brother makes me worry.
Makes me worry that I'll spill the truth on a silver platter and be told I'm not worthy of that love and admiration that I crave to have, that I enjoy seeing.
Sometimes it floats around, I can see even if it for just a brief moment. I can it flutter around Sam's kids, or him and his wife the way they share just a longing happy look for each other.
"I hate to bother you two live birds, but I was wondering if I could take the kiddos out for ice cream?" I ask Sammy, he smiles and says "Sure just be careful. Love ya." I gather their two kids up and well chase each other to my car.
In moments like this, I sometimes wish I already had kids. I also wish that their uncle and grandfather could be here to see them grow and flourish into strong men and strong women.
But regardless, we listen and sing along to a special playlist that we made together. Just a thing for the three of us to enjoy. "Auntie, play our songs please!"
Sam's youngest says her politeness reminds me of him. "Yeah, Auntie you gotta play our songs and sing along with us this time!" Sams oldest screams, he looks like Sam, but in reality, has the personality and swagger of Sam's wife.
We make it to our favorite ice cream place. They always get the same things, no matter the time of the season. "You two outta try something different," I say to them, they give me a look of 'How dare you to tell me to get something different.' I giggle, and we walk out to the shop.
Getting the kiddos back, and in bed was a task. They gave their kisses to me, and then to Sam. Their mother takes them to bed, so nows it's just my brother and me. "Good night pumpkins, Auntie loves you," I say Watching the two of them holding their hands and walk down the hallway.
There's no better time to tell him.
"Hey, are you okay Y/n?" Sam asks an almost empty beer in his hand. He's sitting across from me at the dinner table. I'm in my own thoughts, I'm brought back when I feel Sam's socked foot hit the bottom of my foot.
"Yeah, you could say that I'm okay," I say back, I'm starting to worry about what he might say, maybe I shouldn't say anything.
"Look, I'm your older brother, I know when somethin' is bothering you," Sam says with a hopeful look. I frown, I might as well say the truth, that's something that Sam and I promised each other when we left Dean and John.
"Nothing is bothering me, Sammy, I just need to say something to you and I don't know how to phrase it." He puts his beer down and get's up grabbing my hand and taking me outside.
He'd always done this with me when we were younger. Dragging me to the open yard, he plopped down to the grass and drug me with him. He'd tell me when I was young, to look up in the sky and feel the earth below me. To let go of worries, and be calm be thoughtful.
"Sam, what are we doing out here? We aren't kids anymore." I said closing my eyes. "Y/n just please, do this for me. Maybe you'll figure out a way to phrase your thoughts." He said
I thought as he told me to do. It was nice to feel everything around me and not so much worry about things. "Are you better now Y/n?" Sam asked, I opened my eyes and smiled.
"A little yeah," I said, I might as well just say it, let it be in the open. Regardless of what Sam may think, or even say I'm just going to go for it. That's at least one major thing, Sammy, as taught me over the years.
"Sammy.. I've thought long and hard about telling you and even saying this out loud, but I'm bisexual," I said getting up and looking at my older brother.
He'd yet to give me a reaction, no change in his facial expression, no words yet spoken. It was just quiet, the weird unsettling silence, that gives me anxiety. Makes me worry that the sweet moment between a brother and his sister will forever be lost, that I'll never get to see my nephew and niece again.
But before I know it I'm encased in Sam's overbearing arms, he's hugging me tightly, reassuring me that he loves me, tell me that he proud of me. Everything thought that I had was wrong. He's my brother, after all, he knows me better than anyone.
"Can I ask a question, peanut?" He said, using a nickname he'd used many years ago. We were still hugging, I hummed. "Am I the first person you've officially told?" Sam asked.
I thought a minute, my partners that I'd been with hadn't really known, so yeah Sam was the first to know. "Yeah, I think you are Sammy," I said holding on tight to his hug.
"I just want you to know that I love you, and I'm always here for you peanut. Why don't you and I go out for the weekend tomorrow? Spend some quality time together?!" He asked. I smiled and hummed.
There was nothing better than being excepted and loved. Not only that but it also felt like a thousand-pound rock had been lifted from my shoulders by telling Sam.

These Lips Are Sealed

Cursed Square

Tumblr media
Y/n doesn't remember when she got this velvet ribbon tied around her neck and she doesn't know if she'll ever be able to take it off. She only wished to find a skilled enough witch to break her curse or hell the one who started it all.
Three hundred and twenty years walking the earth no bonded by iron shackles or chains,but one dainty feather light object that adored her neck that weighed so much yet so little. She was a doomed soul and was plagued to carry the burden of another til she decided enough is enough and undid the tight ribbon like many did before her which would only pass it to another.
Y/n has seen wars that tore families apart and illnesses that wiped out whole population and here she was at a bar with a single pool table and only a few booths. The place was far from packed looked more deserted than anything. Sipping her beer she looked down at the bar top. About a hundred years into her immoral prison she started hunting which became her job hunting the monsters that she related too.
Many have wondered why she wore the soiling red ribbon around her neck and they have asked millions of questions,but her answer stayed the same. "These lips are sealed." She's never stayed around hunters long they tend to sniff out something supernatural. The sound of the bar doors opening caused her to shift he gaze from the bar napkin with water mark ring to the entrance. Three men walked in two of them in plaid while the shortest of the trio wore a trench coat.
The moment her [E/c] eyes landed on them she knew exactly who they were. She knew a Winchester when she saw one she hunted along side many Winchester's before them. They walked over to a booth and were quickly served drinks as they chatted most likely about the witch in town.
Y/n couldn't look away from the tall brunette. He was quite handsome,but that thought left her mind as soon as it came. She threw back what was left in her bottle and got up calmly walked to their table. "Can I help you,sweetheart?" The blonde said giving her a smirk. "I came here to just say. Your not needed in town I can handle the witchy bitch causing trouble." She said which left the brothers slack jawed in awe. A sweet smile spread on her face the angel shook the oldest out of his shock and she reached over towards the youngest pushing his jaw up. "Wouldn't want you to catch flies,darlin'." She said giggling as she stood up straight ready to leave. "Enjoy your drinks,boys." She waved as she left them their.
Sam turned to Cas who just sat there looking at them. "Do you know who that is?" He asked. He couldn't get her out of his mind. She wore a black leather jacket with a black undershirt and dark blue Jean's. The one thing that stood out about her was the ruby red ribbon wrapped around her neck. "Sammy's got a crush!~" Dean said in a sing song voice teasing his brother.The angel had his brows frowned. "I don't know who she was,but she didn't seem completely human." He said causing the brothers to tense up. What was she? "She's nothing supernatural as far as I could tell,but she does have a cursed object on her." This relaxed his nerves a bit.
"Maybe that's why she's here. Probably tracked down the witch that cursed her." Dean said sipping his beer as we sat there. "Should we help her?" Sam asked as he plays with the bottle in his hand. He wanted to help,but he didn't know how normally killing the witch or salt and burning the object can reverse the spell,but he had no idea what was the root of it. "I believe that would be the right thing." Cas said from his spot next to Dean.
~Time Skip~
It was a trap. The moment they thought they cornered the witch she reversed the roles. Cas was pushed out of the house with angel banishing symbol she made with her blood on the walls,Dean was pinned to the ground by a shelf that toppled over trying to reach ruby’s blade, and Sam was being pushed back. His insides felt like the were set on fire as the witch got closer that he had to scream in agony. “Can’t believe I’ll be the one to kill a Winchester this time for good.” She said with a giggle that seemed to deafen Sam’s hearing before the grin on her face fell. “Well sorry to tell ya this,but not all dreams come true.” A voice said behind the supernatural being as her hold on him weakened when she fell to the floor ruby's knife in her back. “So they weren’t kidding when they said this thing could kill anything.” Y/n hummed as she took the knife out of the witches back wiping it off on the corpse clothes.
A loud thud was heard as her head snapped to the side as her eyes roll in the back of her skull. She fell unconscious backwards into Deans arms after he dropped the large book that most likely knocked her out. “What the hell!?!?!” Sam shouted as he stood up from his position on the ground. “What we don’t know what cursed her and what it is.” He defended himself. “I agree with Dean. I couldn’t tell if she was what she is completely just that there is some human in her just not enough for her to not be a threat.” Sam understood. He didn’t like it, but he understood what they were getting at. He had no idea why he cared so much about her,but there was something that wanted him to look after her,to protect her, to love her.
Y/n’s eyes fluttered open she was in a concert walled room in the center of a demon trap surrounded by salt. She lifted her gaze and saw the Winchesters and their angel stood in front of her looking right back. “Well hello again boys.” She said to them,but she kept her eyes on Sam and smiled. “Didn’t know saving you would get me here...no foreplay just straight to the nitty gritty. I’m intrigued.” Laughter rung throughout the room at the tall mans flushed face. “Woah,Sammy you found yourself a keeper.” Dean snorted.
She shifted in the chair. “So,why am I here?” She asked. Y/n obviously was stripped of her weapons along with her leather jacket,but thankfully they left her ribbon alone. “You’re cursed with something.” Castial said and this made the woman tied in the chair giggle. “I know I’m cursed known ever since I was around eighteen.” She said simply. Sam was shocked. “Y-you knew. Why didn’t do anything about it?” He said as he stepped closer. “I couldn’t had no idea what to do and if I asked for help I would have been killed.” Y/n said with a sigh.
“What’s the cursed object you have?” Dean asked for his position leaning against the wall. “These lips are sealed.” She said with a blank expression before her calming smile reappeared.”Can’t ask direct questions. This thing won’t allow it.” Y/n said as she shifted her bruised wrist. “Alright then. Is something currently on you cursed?” She nodded her head. “Would we be able to get rid of it?” She shrugged generally having no idea if the burden can be lifted. “Do you know what spirit is connected to you” She nodded again.”What about my attire stands out?” She hinted at feeling the ribbon tingle a bit in warning.Dean looked her up and down,but nothing caught his eye. Sam noticed immediately the only color on her besides her lipstick was the blood red ribbon wrapped tightly around her neck. “The ribbon. Do you know the lore behind it?” Sam asked. Y/n nodded and cleared her throat.
“'In 1500′s two sisters both witches,Elizabeth and Clementine, were the the most beautiful in their village the oldest, Elizabeth, was the more flirtatious of them and held eyes for the handsomest man in town, but he didn’t like her. He liked her sister though. He confessed his love for Clem and a wedding day was set this put her sister in a jealous rage. She went to the towns people and said Clem was a witch that would turn against them all after she was wed.' Jealousy turned to hatred and hatred leads to mistakes. " She paused in telling the story to say the last bit.
Y/n uncomfortably stretched her neck hissing silently. She's never spoke about her curse so openly and the object wasn't sure if it was a direct answer so it was giving her a warning,but she kept on. "'They barged into the family’s home and took her out of her bed that she shared with her fiance to the center of the town to be exacted. As she was placed in the geateen she screamed cursing that everyone and their children til the end of their filthy bloodlines that they would face the same fate she will. Clem looked her sister in the eye smiled and said 'Your first.' as the blade came down a silk ribbon appeared on all the females in the town just like her own. Many were confused and pulled them killing the person who had the ribbon.” Y/n shifted a bit. “That’s the story...I should know I’ve seen it happen to my mom and grandmother first hand. I’m third generation of the curse the last living person with it.”
Sam looked at her in shock she’s been on this earth staying alive just so the curse didn't move on to anyone that shared her blood even distinctly. "So can I be untied?" She asked. Sam went over to her and undid the ropes as she stood up to full height. "Is there anyway we could help?" He asked her wanting to help her get rid of this burden. "There is one way."
The four of them left the dungeon and went to the library. "We need to find the original. Her ribbon is the base of the curse so with it gone a ripple effect will get rid of the others." Y/n explained as she opened up books. "The trick is her remains were never burnt and theirs no burial plot for a convicted witch." She said with a sigh as she rubbed her forehead.
"So we go to Salem, Organ and if Cas can since the power of your ribbon it should be strong enough for him to pinpoint a grave to dig." Sam explained looking up at her with a small smile which she returned. "Let's get to it." She clapped her hands together.
Time Skip~
The group of four walked into the clearing in the forest where the which was supposedly buried. Y/n scratched her neck for what felt like the millionth time since the stepped foot in Salem. "This must be it." She said as blood started to drip below the cut of the ribbon. The brothers eyes widen in shock as they started digging around since it seemed they were running out of time. As they dug Cas kept healing her neck,but the blood kept flowing despite his attempts to stop it. Y/n leaned against a tree dizzy as she tried to keep consciousness.
Bones were dug up and that's when the youngest Winchester used his hands to uncover them and there he saw it the perfectly in condition silk ribbon around a headless skeletons neck. Dean started the salting,but before he could do the burning Sam delicately pulled the ribbon undoing it before crawling out of the grave to let it burn.
They set it aflame and watched as the flames became a mesmerizing purple before it was put out completely. Sam turned around and ran over to the women he grew found of within moments after meeting her. She was blinking slowly trying to stay awake her head lulled to the side. "Pull...the...ribbon." Her distant voice said. He reached up and shakily undid it and just like that the bleeding stopped. The seemingly fresh cut sailed itself making it seem there was never one there.
"Thank you." She said as she lost consciousness. Sam shouted as the three men scrabbled to gather things as he carried her bridle style as Cas teleported them to the bunker. He walked to his bedroom and gently layed her on the bed as he left to get a wash cloth to clean the blood. The warm cloth wiped away the dried blood away as he sat next to he was so captivated by her beautiful features he didn't notice her waking up.
Y/n felt pressure on her neck as she opened her eyes. She was looking up at him as he looked down at her lost in a daze. "So...You're not gonna and kill me,are you?" She asked shacking him from his thoughts. Sam's eyes widened in shock. "No." He said as he removed his hand from her neck placing the wash cloth on the dresser. "Cause that would be awkward. Especially after this." She said with a smile causing him to frown. "After wha–" He was cut off by her pushing herself up to met his lips. Pulling away both of them grinning as they looked at each other. "We can't tell Dean. I won't be able to handle the teasing." Sam said as he ran his thumb over her bottom lip. "These lips are sealed."

Getting Dean to admit to his feelings has been one of the many failures of your life. Ever since Sam left, he has been an emotional wreck. All he wanted to do was go on back-to-back hunts because it gave his mind to think about something other than his brother. It was a god way to release pent-up energy so Dean took the easy way out instead of talking about it like an adult.
The only thing you can do is be there for Dean when he finally realizes he’s been acting like a child and wants his brother back. Grabbing your overly-stretched leggings, you pulled them over your legs before snatching one of Dean’s shirts before he could notice it gone. Slipping the material over your head, your whole body began to relax at the scent of your boyfriend.
“It’s really quiet in here,” you muttered as Dean got settled onto the bed. Before he could respond, his phone blared the annoying ringtone you thought you changed a week ago.
“You brought this on,” he chuckled as he answered it before putting it on speakerphone. “Hello?”
“I found a way to kill Lucifer,” Castiel said on the other line.
“Castiel, are you using a cell phone?” you grinned as you took your spot next to Dean on the bed.
“Yes. The Colt as in the gun.”
“We're talking about the Colt, right? I mean, as in the Colt?” Dean asked as if he hadn’t heard what Castiel said.
“We are.”
“Well, that doesn't make any sense. I mean, why would the demons keep a gun around that kills demons?”
“What? What? Did—I didn't—I didn't get that,” the angel stuttered when a car whizzed right by him on the street.
“This is kind of funny. I mean, we’re talking to a messenger of God on a cellphone,” you laughed.
“This isn't funny, Y/N. The voice says I'm almost out of minutes.”
“Okay, alright. Look, if the demons have the Colt, they would have melted it down by now,” you sighed.
“Well, I hear differently. If it's true and if you two are still set on the insane task of killing the devil, this is how we do it.”
“Okay. Where do we start?” Dean wondered.
“Where are you now?”
“Kansas City,” Dean leaned across your body to grab the room key that sat on the bedside table, “Century Hotel, room 113.”
“I'll be there immediately.”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. No, no, come on, Castiel,” you groaned loudly. “Dean just drove sixteen hours straight and we’re human, we have stuff to do.”
“What kind of stuff?”
“Eat and sleep. Just give us four hours, okay? I’m sure there are things you want to do in that span of time. Just pop in at dawn.”
“Yes. I'll just—” Dean hung up on the angel which you frowned at.
“Did you just cut him off?”
“Yeah I did because we need our sleep,” Dean declared as he got comfortable. As soon as you two closed your eyes, his phone rang once more. He groaned as he snatched it from the bedside table before answering it.
“Damn it, Cas, I need to sleep!” Dean yelled. He paused and grew silent before putting it on speakerphone for both of you to hear. “Sam? It's quarter past four.”
“This is important,” the younger brother said. Opening your eyes, you sat up to pay attention since it’s been awhile since you talked to his brother.
“Sam, what’s going on?” you asked.
“It’s Lucifer. I’m his vessel like you’re Amara’s and Dean is Michael’s.”
“Lucifer's wearing you to the prom?” Dean scoffed.
“That's what he said.”
“Just when you thought you were out, they pull you back in, huh, Sammy?”
“So, that's it? That's your response?”
“What are you looking for?”
“I don't know. A—a little panic? Maybe?”
“I guess I'm a little numb to the earth-shattering revelations at this point.”
“What are we gonna do about it?
“What do you want to do about it?” you asked quietly as you stared at Dean.
“I want back in, for starters. I am sick of being a puppet to these sons of bitches. I'm gonna hunt him down.”
“Oh, so, we're back to revenge, then, are we? Yeah, 'cause that worked out so well last time,” Dean scoffed.
“Not revenge. Redemption.”
“So, what, you're just gonna walk back in and we're gonna be the triple threat again?”
“Look, Dean, I can do this. I can. I'm gonna prove it to you.”
“Come on, Dean. He’s your brother,” you sighed.
“Look, Sam—it doesn't matter—whatever we do. I mean, it turns out that you and me, we're the, uh, the fire and the oil of the Armageddon. You know, on that basis alone, we should just pick a hemisphere. Stay away from each other for good.”
“Dean, it does not have to be like this. We can fight it.”
“Yeah, you're right. We can. But not together. We're not stronger when we're together, Sam. I think we're weaker. Because whatever we have between us—love, family, whatever it is—they are always gonna use it against us. And you know that. Yeah, we're better off apart. We got a better chance of dodging Lucifer and Michael and this whole damn thing, if we just go our own ways.”
“Dean think about this,” you said.
“Dean, don’t do this,” Sam begged at the same time as you.
“Bye, Sam,” he said before hanging up.
“You are unbelievable,” you sighed as you laid back down.
“It’s for the better.”
“The only thing this is going to do is push you two away. After all you’ve—we’ve—been through…” you trailed off before closing your eyes to get a head start on that sleep you mentioned to Castiel.
Tumblr media
“Ow, what the fuck?” you gasped awake.
Looking down at the bed, you noticed the mattress was gone completely so that the only thing left was the springs. The room was much worse than when you left it the night before. The nightstand clock is smashed to pieces, furniture is toppled over, and the room looked like it went through a tornado.
“Dean wake up!” you exclaimed as you slapped his chest.
“Ow! What…?” he asked as he opened his eyes.
After his brain processed the same thing you saw, you both got up and opened the curtain to see the city outside in worse shape than this room. Graffiti everywhere, cars broken and abandoned, and trash littered the streets. It was like the day you went to the town that had demons but it wasn’t really demons but War or the time when the Croatoan virus spread a few years ago in another town.
“What the hell happened?” you breathed out.
“Come on, let’s check it out,” Dean said as he grabbed his stuff and headed out the door.
“How did we sleep through this?” you asked as you followed.
“I don’t think we’re in Kansas City anymore,” he muttered as you two explored the broken town. A few yards from the hotel room, you heard glass shattering come from one of the alley’s nearby.
“What was that?” you asked as you took the lead.
Dean trailed behind you as your eyes went blue for protective reasons. If there was something evil going on in this town, you needed to be prepared for it. Upon entering the alley, you saw a little girl clutching a teddy bear as she hunches over on the ground. This is the first sign of life you spotted, and instead of scaring her, you decided to turn your eyes back to their normal color before approaching her.
“Little girl? Are you okay? Are you hurt?” you asked softly.
The little girl didn’t say anything but rocked on her heels. The no talking thing was really starting to creep you out. Looking back at Dean, you could see the hesitation in his eyes.
“You know the not-talking thing is kind of creepy, right?” you said to the little girl.
She raises her head and finally looks at you, but blood drips out of her mouth and her eyes were bloodshot as if she were sick. She shrieks before attacking you with a shard of glass, effectively cutting your arm.
“Y/N!” Dean yelled as he went to aid you in the fight.
A wave of magic bubbled out of your hands and slammed into the girl’s chest which caused her to go flying away from you. Looking down at your wound, you focused on healing it while Dean noticed something scribbled on the wall.
“Y/N, look,” he muttered.
Looking to where he was pointing, the word “CROATOAN” was graffitied on the wall.
“Shit,” you mumbled as several people came rushing out of the nearby stores once they heard the commotion. All of them looked to be infected and since you couldn’t get the virus, all you needed to worry about it protecting Dean. “Come on! Run!”
Dean took your hand as you two raced out of the area. The infected people snarled as they began chasing you two. Trash were only served as obstacles, and the only reason you weren’t using your magic is because you had a pretty safe distance between you two and the infected people. Your lungs burned as you panted, but you couldn’t stop. The virus may not be able to affect you, but they can sure bite and kill you if they got their hands on you.
“Shit, come on,” Dean urged once he found the path was blocked by a chain-link fence.
As soon as you reached the fence, people in tanks and several soldiers appeared out of nowhere with huge guns. They began shooting at the infected people, and in order to protect yourself and Dean, you chanted a quick mutter in Latin before stopping to catch your breath.
“What are you doing? Come on!” Dean urged.
“Don’t worry, they can’t see us. I cloaked us. We’re safe, okay?”
“What the hell is going on here?” he asked as he watched the solider shoot and kill the infected group which just kept getting bigger and bigger.
“I don’t know. We have to keep moving. One of these cars are bound to work,” you declared as you stealthily made your way to a safe alleyway that was away from all the action.
Seeing there was a perfectly good car on the other side of the fence, you approached the chain-link fence as your hands turned a bright blue. Placing your hands on the metal, it began to melt from your touch. Once the hole was big enough, you ceased all contact before walking through the hole.
“That will never not be cool,” Dean commented on your abilities.
“Dean, look,” you said as you pointed out a sign that was hanging off the fence by a thread. The sign read: “Croatoan virus. Hot zone. No entry by order of acting regional command. August 1, 2014. Kansas City”.
“2014?” you asked in disbelief.
“That’s not possible.”
“Yeah because that’s five years in the future. You think the Angels did this?”
“Probably. We’re not any use here so we need to try and find a way out of here,” he said before hotwiring the car.
It took some time to figure it out, but Dean got the car up and running in no time. Dean kept things on the down low until he reached the interstate where he picked up the pace. There is no cell phone service and the radio is all static which is to be expected.
“That’s never a good sign,” Dean sighed.
“’Croatoan pandemic reaches Australia’,” Zachariah said from the back seat. Jumping ten feet out of your own body, you glared at the angel who reads from a newspaper.
“I thought I smelled your stink on this Back to the Future shit,” you glared.
“’President Palin defends bombing of Houston’. Certainly, a buyer's market in real estate. Let's see what's happening in sports. That's right—no more sports. Congress revoked the right to group assembly. What's left of Congress, that is. Hardly a quorum, if you ask me.”
“How did you find us?”
“Afraid we had to tap some unorthodox resources of late—human informants. We've been making inspirational visits to the fringier Christian groups. They've been given your image, told to keep an eye out.”
“You’re spying on us?” you scoff, not expecting an answer.
“Great, you have had your jollies. Now send us back, you son of a bitch,” Dean growled.
“Oh, you'll get back—all in good time. We want you to marinate a bit.”
“Marinate?”
“Three days, Dean and Y/N. Three days to see where this course of action takes you.”
“What's that supposed to mean?” you asked.
“It means that your boyfriend and his brother’s choices have consequences. This is what happens to the world if you continue to say "no" to Michael. Have a little look-see,” he grinned before disappearing from sight.
“Fuck. The only person I know who will know what to do is my dad. We have to go there,” you suggested.
“Already on it,” Dean said as he sped down the road.

Being seeing a lot of fanfiction about Dean and Cas getting married. Just imagining what Dean's vows would be
Dean's vows to Cas
"I, _Dean__, take you, _Cas__, for my lawful /husband, to have and to hold from this day forward,
for better, for worse, (unless you make a mistake or disagree with me in that case your dead to me)
 for richer, for poorer (unless  your powers give out then your useless nothing more than a baby in a trench coat a burden)
,
 in sickness and health, (unless Sammy is also  trouble or sick then your tossed aside and thrown out)
 until death do us part (unless Sammy needs anything because he will always come first I will never choose you over him I'll sacrifice you to save him without a second thought)
I'm not a hater I used to see why people shipped these two. And I don't disagree with people writing fanfiction because in fanfiction people actually turn Dean into caring healthy partner for Cas. But in canon Destiel would be completely unhealthy and unfulfilling. For anyone who really loves Cas who loves his character loves his growth why would you want to tether him into relationship where he'll never be cherished.
 He'll always be second best in Dean's life. If anything becomes a threat to Sam, Cas would be tossed aside or sacrificed without a thought. We've seen it time and time again in the show.
Cas tossed out of the bunker human and defenseless left homeless so Dean can save Sam.
Cas being beat nearly to death by Lucifer right beside Dean who rushes to save Sam
Cas being left with Rowena to be hit by attack dog spell so Sam can save Dean
Cas being told noone cares he is broken
Cas being tortured brainwashed by angels. The brother's putting up wards to keep him out. No interest in helping him or figuring out what's wrong
Cas being told noone cares how he feels about protecting his son. How his child is being locked up or killed and it doesn't matter if he likes it or not
Cas being sent to hell with the demon wearing his son's corpse with no guarantee he'll get out.
All Cas apologies' his guilt his  low self esteem his struggles and never ending quest to make things right ignored and belittled by Dean.
 He told Dean he was suicidal Dean said and done nothing. He left him alone went off with Sam as if nothing had being said.
Making Destiel canon won't fix things all it will serve is it will hurt Cas worse  when the person supposed to love him cares so little about him and he's aware that he could and will be tossed aside as soon as he's not useful or it's a choice between him and Sam to Dean. It's hurting him enough by just being a friend with Dean.
I don't think Cas character growth and arc is that  he belongs with Winchester's. I think the whole growth of Cas is based on he has successfully learnt free will. He's not a follower any more he went from blindly  following God and heaven's orders to substituting those orders with the orders and expectations of Dean. He thought he was demonstrating free will but he wasn't he was merely following and obeying a new leader. Any show of him going off the path Dean expected of him or any mistake  was met with anger criticism and mockery similar to how heaven treated him maybe slightly less violent.
Then Jack happened this was Castiel's first true step in true will. Jack was his son he swore he'd protect him and finally Cas became his own person. He didn't back down he was willing to  stand against heaven hell and Dean to protect his son. He became the protector the mentor and a father.
Jack was the point when Cas discovered true family. Cas ending needs to be him and Jack.
To show character growth for all our character's Cas needs to walk away from Winchester's. But I would like to see it be a clean healthy break for both parties. Dean and Cas having a honest non toxic non heated conversation. They both apologise and adknowledge past wrongs. Dean being honest about he can't give Cas friendship and support he deserves and needs because his life has  resolved around protecting Sam since he carried Sam out of the fire. Them both thanking each other for what they have done for each other and parting on civil and healthy terms to their respective family's. Dean to Sam and Cas to Jack.

Note
Tink, I have to thank you. I've watched the show since season 7 was airing and it's been hard staying positive about destiel. I admit I lost faith for a long time and didn't think it'd ever be canon even when reading meta about the subtext (and now text). Recently I started thinking about endgame and I realized there's no happy ending for Dean without a hunter romantic partner and who else could it be than Cas? It just doesn't make sense otherwise. So, thanks to your positivity, I have faith now
IKR! Thank you :)
In just one episode 11x19 is the gift that keeps on giving for hammering this home before Dabb started getting the anvils out in season 12 with a canon “I love you”, a mixtape, suicidal mourning v ecstatic cowboy fantasies between his being dead and alive, “what’s bi is bi”. . .
In 11x19 we got Dean staying up all night worrying about Cas
Tumblr media
Meeting 2 dudes who he assumes are friends/brothers because they’re big hard hunting men (and those guys shouldn’t be queer from his life knowledge) who turn out to be husbands. Like, thanks for the exposition that Dean generally thinks this isn’t for him and then when he realises they can go hand in hand is all :
Tumblr media
Asking for himself what’s it like, because well duh, that’s what he’s always dreamed about since he realised he didn’t actually want the apple pie life and was trying to force himself into it (Lisa), but it wasn’t what he really wanted, he was still longing for Cas (who watched him raking leaves and thought he was happier without him so went on his own journey of trying to protect Dean and keep him safe and happy, meanwhile Dean was not really happy, just going through the motions, mourning his brother and longing for Cas), Dean just never let himself think this could be a possible option for him and yet here these two guys are, hunting, queer, happy, together, and they end the episode alive and free of their burden I mean...?!
Meanwhile Cas’ story is all about how he actually wants to be human but took his grace back because he wanted to serve the cause, but he himself longs for humanity (his own as well as Dean, I mean, I love the way they interlinked Dean = humanity but also humanity in itself for Cas too)
Tumblr media
He wants to be their family and he loves Dean romantically, differently to Sam
Tumblr media
and well...
Tumblr media
Dean starts out with no faith in the pilot, over time Cas gives him faith, canonically now not just metaphorically/subtextually, it’s CANON that Cas is Dean’s faith.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cas is also (only metaphorically but come on) his “everything” while praying to God for his return first “bring him back”, then his mother and even Crowley, but Cas is first, Cas is the one who when he does return restores his faith
Tumblr media
Cas’ first sentences to Dean are about not having faith (which he now has canonically thanks to and intertwined with Cas), not thinking he deserves to be saved (which thanks to Cas he was saved but also now thanks in large part to Cas and Dean facing his own inner demons, showed us he stood up to Mary last season, that he now does think he deserves to be saved, to live, to be happy) and that good things do happen.
Meanwhile Dean’s first sentences to Cas are establishing the difference for him between what he is and who he is.
Isn’t it all just so weird how Cas’ story all ties into Dean’s endgame set up since the pilot and how Cas’ own endgame fits in perfectly with his, our main protagonist, almost like he was written as such over the last decade?!
*shocked face!*

#ReturnofAdam
Written by and posting order: @ForgotAboutAdam @DeanWinchester_ @SamWImpala83 @TridentHunting
Adam has been out of the cage for the last few days, he was still trying to get his head around the freedom. he knew he had many issues going on but he wanted to try and be normal as he could < possibly be. okay, he might have Michael in his head but he quietly sleeping for him. Adam had headed up to put some flowers down on the local lake as he knew they weren't an actual burial place when Dean and sam burn her remains of his mom. he wasn't ready to deal with the hatred he had for his family especially his older brother Sam. if it wasn't for him he wouldn't have ever been in the cage. noway, I was going to let him have the satisfaction of him knowing I was out just yet. they say revenge is best served cold. adam was angry and hurt at his family but he knew one day will come and he will face them all. he just wished he could forget them as they forgot him for many years.
Colt - Colt was oblivious to Adam and Michael's escape from the pit. He sat at the office finishing up some paperwork which he'd rather avoided and sent it off with the secretary. He stood looking out at the window at downtown Austin. There was a lot on his mind and he didn't know how to deal with it all. Jo was gone, he and Ethan were fighting regularly. Plus he hadn't seen his father in a few days and that always made him worry. He knew the ole man could take care of his own but he worried still.-
Adam had made his way home on this home he once shared with his mom. He knocks on the door go find a young family that had moved into the home that he shared some happy memories with his mom and dad, the family had settled into their home now. Adam couldn't call it anymore. With his prison sentence, he had in the cage. He was locked up and everyone in this world just moved on with their lives. No one ever had a second thought of me. When he stood talking to the couple who owns the house. He explains that he was born and grew up in this house He shared some stories of the house go them. When they let him in just to have one last look at the old place. Since his dog was buried out the back under the big oak tree. Adam had a coffee with the family after taking a tour of the old place. When they came out with a box of items that they have found in the attic. Adam had smiled and taken the box of memories with him when he left the house. He made his way into the truck putting the box on the passenger seat. When driving off to the motel that he had checked into. When he reached the motel he picked up the small box putting it under his arm. Making his way out of his truck locking it up and going inside to his motel room. He threw the box on the table sitting next to the window. Before taking a seat to look throw the box of pictures and letters that his father John had written to him over the letters. When he came across A photo of his dad with Dean and Sam. The photo made him see red he crumble the photo in his hand. You are all going to pay especially Sam.
Tumblr media
Colt - -Things hadn't gone as planned, Sammy had been cremated and he hadn't bothered telling a bunch of people he couldn't handle it. He'd been buried out on the property under an Oak tree. John was off on a hunt down in Colombia and couldn't make it back. And his Dad had bailed without a word leaving Colt to deal with it. So the remaining Winchesters were pretty far from being close and he, in particular, knew that he'd have to get his shit together for his kids if nothing else. Asher was a big help and he was happy but somethings you a gotta break on your own. His /issues/ could get pretty severe so he'd chosen to start seeking professional help. It was a step in the right direction, he couldn't expect anyone else to save him from himself. Ethan wasn't gonna come sweeping in to save the day either so he'd need to take things seriously. He was devasted but he pushed that down and refused to wallow in it anymore. Going on back to the office he made his rounds to see what was going on in the world according to their analysts. -
Sam - Through a wild turn of events, Sam had managed to not only escape his dying world but land in the same one as his brother. Luckily, they’d found each other as well as Dean’s doppelgänger and his family. Colt and the rest of the family had been very welcoming, even allowing
Sam to move into the family house back on the ranch. Sam had found it easy to get along with everybody and was glad to see his brother was happy. But . . . Sam couldn’t be just yet. According to Colt, multiple worlds were collapsing for some unforeseen reason. Sam was sure it had something to do with Chuck, but when he joined the firm’s analysis team, they seemed to have a handful of possible causes. Sam tried to follow his brother’s advice to relax and let it go. Their world was dead, so it wasn’t their responsibility anymore. But deep down, he knew Dean was just pushing down his true feeling. But Sam couldn’t do that. He needed to figure out what was happening and why everyone he ever loved and cared about, besides his brother, was dead.
John - John had decided to send a text to the boys to have a get together at the headquarters building so that Sam and he could meet one another. They'd lost one Sam and gained another in a short amount of time. John couldn't fathom what the big guy upstairs was doing but they had to make a plan get everyone on the same page. So as he sat with a hot cup of coffee waiting for the boys to show up he read through the mornings briefing. Specifically about the rifts showing up here and there, depositing at this point Winchesters but he had his suspensions more was going on that they didn't understand.-
Adam - Adam had been quiet for a few days. he hadn't had any control over his body for the last few days, to be honest. Michael has put him in his trance. as the last few days were kind of a blur. as he never knew what going on with his so-called family. he logged onto his laptop to track on his family to see where in this miserable world where exactly they would be. living their perfect lives. he could see his elder brother has gone up in the world living in texas Austin. when he google him to see what's going on with the three Winchester his father didn't even care about him. it was always about him and dean and sam from the minute I meet him as a child. adam knew if he could track his elder brother sam and his father wouldn't be too far behind him. so he made a plan to head to Austin texas the following day. he was booked into this crappy motel for one more night.
Colt - He'd gotten a message from his father about meeting up with him and Sammy. Looking at his watch, he had somethings to do but he text'd back he'd be there but late. A local haunting had caught his attention when the guys mentioned it. Normally he didn't roll on things like this anymore, honestly didn't get the adrenaline pumping and he lived off of that. Since booze and sex had been quelled adrenaline was pretty much all he had to get through the days. Of course now with Asher in his life and again was a good thing for him and the kids. He worried about them, he knew he wasn't grade A father material but he made efforts to become more of what they'd need. Adapt and survive that was what he did.
Lost in thought till Justin reached over and slapped the back of his hand against his arm. "We're here Colt." Looking up at the old abandoned mental institution with a laugh. "Hope you did your homework Justin, hell, place like this could have multiple spirits haunting it. What did the construction workers say exactly about this place?" Listening to Justin describes a young teenage girl bloody and bruised up dragging a bloody axe down the corridor. And that the lead formen clutched his chest and dropped right there in the floor. they described the young woman like he flickered like an old movied projection glitching something out of horror movie. One of the guys had grabbed the guy by the wrist and trying to get him into the elevator but the girl snarled at them punching her small hand into the foreman's chest, like he was squeezing his heart literally. They guys ran for it and managed to get out of there, but they said when they looked up at the window she was standing there dead and pale staring at them. Fire, EMS and cops rolled and they searched the place best they could but couldn't find no trace of the young woman. EMS starting CPR right away but the foreman was DOD (dead on arrival) at the hospital.
Rumors had gotten out and apparently, no one wanted to take a stab at the renovations. So the recent owner called in a Catholic Priest, Father Gentry. He went in and never came out. Fire and cops searched what they could again but they didn't find him. Colt grabbed his duffle and shotgun. There was a chance the priest could still be alive so he slung the bag over his shoulder and went in, Justin guiding with top of the line GPS and map configuration of the building plans but as soon as they crossed the threshold the equipment began to falter. Colt didn't need EMF to tell him they had a very real problem here but one of the guys held one holding it up. It's was going off like crazy. "Okay stick together, this place has been searched twice but we're looking for anything out of the ordinary. Be suspicious of everything. These places used to do underground work trying to find ways to fix people and who knows what kind of evil went down here. Gotta be a place big enough to hold a grown man but if he's already dead it may be smaller. Check for hidden rooms, panels in the floors or ceilings etc. Break into teams of two. Work back to back if anything goes down and make damn sure to use your training. Everyone's going home tonight and hopefully the priest as well."
Sam After settling into the ranch, Sam had tried to spread out, get to know a few people here and there and actually go out on cases with the crew. It was still jarring working, talking and hanging out with people he recognized from his past, but didn't have the same history with him. He'd found that out a lot of the people still had the personality, some for the best and some . . . not so much. Either way, he was glad to at least have found his brother.
Sam was sitting in the kitchen at the main ranch after just having another hacking lesson with Ali when he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw there was a message from one of the John's floating around this universe, requesting he and some of the others meet him at the main headquarters downtown. He quickly wrote back, letting John know he could be there in about an hour before tucking his phone away. Sam headed upstairs to change, grabbing an apple as a snack, before saying bye to Ali and heading towards the meeting.
John - -John checked his phone and laughed, might be different worlds but typical responses from both. He laid the phone down and went down the hall and into the Operations Command Room. Monitors up all over the places and people monitoring each hunt from their station. He talking to Gilbert to get an update of what was going on. John sipped his coffee as they rattled off several vampire cases, hauntings and a possible ghoul problem. They talked a little and he was about to walk out when one status came back "We've lost coms with Team 8." John walked over and watched them try to figure out any possible problems. "What's the case they are working and where are they?" The analyst looked up. "It's a haunting sir, one confirmed dead and one missing. John looked at the computer screen to see if he recognized any of the operators on the case. He recognized /Justin Hartgrove/ and then the next name /Colt Winchester/. He frowned and shook his head no wonder the kid said he was going to be late.- "How long have coms been down?" The analyst answered "Twenty minutes sir." John took a breath. "Keep me posted on the situation and send me the case file to my office." With that he turned around and walked out. Colt was a top tier operator but that didn't matter, everytime these guys went out in the field he worried. Not just for his son but all of them.-
Adam - The next morning Adam couldn't wait to check out of this motel. He liked to have his morning coffee outside watching the world go by. This might be normal to others around the enclosed motel with the busy parking lot. He stood watching the people coming and going in their lives. When they were doing the hustle and bustle. He had been locked up the cage of hundred of years with Lucifer and Michael. When somehow Lucifer managed to escape with some ease. Whereas Michael and himself took a lot longer. Now they were finally Free he had Michael for the company on his body and mind. This one thing that was on Adam mind was a showdown with his family. Since they never ever looked for him. They simply just forgot about him. It's so true out of mind out of sight. Both Michael and himself had issues that needed to be settled. Michael was helpful since he would often help Adam to track his so-called family with a location. He knew that the Winchester had moved on from Kansas now they have a headquarters n Austin Texas. This Is where he was going to be heading too. Michael had the offered to get him there in seconds but Adam wanted the surprise on his side. When he had chose to make the three days drive down to texas. But he may change his mind in due course. Adam finished his coffee-making his way back inside his room. Putting his coffee cup on the sink. When he turns to pick up his bag. Leaving this motel room, to head towards the reception area to check out. He stepped in placing the key card in the drop off box. saying ”Cheers” to the receptionist. Making his way outside. Walking to his truck. Unlocking the trunk throwing his bag in. Making his way into the driver seat. To begin the drive down to Texas.
Colt - -The top floors had been searched first and they'd found nothing now the team descended the stairs to what they believed to be the basement containing the bowler room etc. Dank and dark the basement was pretty damn big with rooms in itself. This was making Colt wished he'd called for a backup team but them again more men, meant higher possibilities of casualties. Signaling they split up, weapon at the ready he went point and led his guys down the east hallway looking for anything that stood out. Lights flickered overhead which could be a sign but could also show the date and faulty wiring of the place. Moving on coming up on a thick door to his right, Justin moved to the left and Colt turned the knob pushing it open. Quick scope of the room then pulling back, having not seen anything he moves around the frame and disappears into the darkness, Justing reaching for where normally a lightswitch might be flipping it on. Fluroscent lights overhead flickered and Colt moved further into the room checking it. Papers where strewn across the floor. He thought he saw what could be fresh blood on the floor and disappeared behind an old bookcase. Cast in darkness he thought he saw something in the distance. On the other side of the basement, the rest of the team was mirroring his actions with nothing in sight yet.-
Sam - Sam climbed up into the truck he had procured from Blackwater's operations for his personal and business use. Colt had really done a lot to make him feel at home and it was nice not to worry about the
little things sometimes.
He drove to the main office downtown and after clearing through security he was directed up to John's office. The fact that two John Winchesters were floating around here had him on edge. After all, his own father had been dead for over a decade and now to be thrown back into this situation with not one, but two of his twins, it was a lot for Sam to handle.
Sam was directed into John's office only to find him sifting through a pile of files and papers. Knocking on the door, he cleared his throat, "Um, John? It's Sam. I'm . . . I'm here."
John - John: -John looked up from over the frame of his glasses at the young man coming through the door. The circumstances could not have been weirder but the love he felt for his boys had his heartwarming at the sight of Sam, even if he wasn't technically his son. Standing he pulled his glasses off and laid them on the desk and walked around to meet Sam, offering his hand.- Welcome to family Sam. I'm hoping we can put your mind to ease and help you any way we can. Would you like something to drink?
Adam - Adam was taking his time his drive down to texas to go and see his family. Driving along the interstate. Sometimes the roads were busy and quiet. The road that was black in the day time just melted into the darkness of the night. When a car passed its headlights were reflected in the water that lay over the surface. There were street-lamps but they looked like they all had been sabotaged for their solar triggers. They rig things up with dirt over the sensor and then after some rain whatever they have rigged up explodes. roads are dark and the days are anxious, who knows what days would bring and what would strike would be next. The quietness of the traffic goes on his travel to Texas. He was getting tired from all the miles he was putting down. When he stopped off to a local gas station. When he needed to fill his truck up with some gas to make the rest of the journey. Stepping out of his truck. Cracking his neck side to side. ” wow that's felt good” asking the attending to fill her right with up. Throwing his keys to the attend. Making his way inside the station to pay for the gas. Taking a Break from the drive when he orders a coffee and bagel. He sits at the window. Nursing his coffee when he mind wondered to his recurring flashback that saved him from the torture of when he was in the pit. His dream as of the day when him Dean Sam and Father would have a day out with no stress. They dreamed of the day when all the guys. They were all on a fishing boat on the lake doing some fishing. Even when he had never gone fishing before, trying to catch some fish from a bbq when we're intending to have that day when the sun when down. Having a a real family day together with no worries and having some beers. Telling jokes and have some beers. He laughed when he could see the day ended end too well with himself falling in the lake trying to catch the bloody fish. But this was only a dream and he doubts this day would ever happen. With his family, all moved on with their lives in their own ways. Adam shaking his head to come back to this reality knowing he needed to get back on the road to get down to Austin. Where his father and Sam was. Taking his coffee and bagel with him. Leaving the gas station to walk over to his truck. Stepping in and buckling up his belt to set himself on his way. He wondered where his brother was. Michael sensed he wasn't with his father and Sam.
Colt -Moving forward he knew if this was a spirit they already knew they were here and where but if the priest was down here somewhere he wouldn't so Colt spoke loudly.- “Father?! You down here! If you can help me somehow let me know where you are it would help! We're gonna get you out of here!! -As he moved further into the darkened area books began fly at his head from around the room, concentration on avoidance of being knocked out he didn't see the teenage ghost until she'd rammed her hand into his chest squeezing his heart. Gun had dropped from his fingers as he gasped, face straining of the lack of blood flow. Seconds later Justin fired a salt round causing the ghost to disappear, Colt grabbed his own chest trying to recover, his other team mate handed him back his shotgun. “You okay boss? Looking peakish.” Colt laughed despite how bad his chest hurt and took the gun. “Spread out, look around. He's gotta be here somewhere.” They looked for a lightswitch, finding one but it didn't work. Cracking glow sticks they tossed out several. Looking things over Justin spotted some echoplasma near what looked like another bookcase. Colt came closer and listened looking the book case over running fingers under the shelves when he felt a cold rush of air go past him and behind the bookcase. “I think there's a passage back here.” Check the books as they did Justin pulled one and the lock clicked, the bookcase swung open. “Good job man, let's see if we can't find a priest and send casper home.” Colt tossed several glow sticks out into the darkness ahead and the three hunters worked their way down a narrow hallway.-
Sam - *Sam looked around the empty office and wondered how different his life might’ve been if this was his own world. He was still getting used to his surroundings and the people. Shaking John’s hand, he nodded.* Sure. Whatever you’re having to drink is fine by me.
John - -Pours them both a glass of whiskey and takes a seat.- So how are you doing with the displacement? I know all this has to be a shock to the system.
Adam - Adam stopped when he saw a woman hitchhiking at the side of the road. Letting down the window when he popped his head out the window with his shades on. Where Are you off too? When she wanting to get a break and get to Oklahoma. Deep down Adam was a good guy but never giving a break with his family. When he told the young woman to give in as they were in his direction he was going. The woman was grateful for the lift. When she was talking about her broken-down relationship with her boyfriend. When she needed to get moving. Adam just listened and kept his eyes on the road. In a few hours, he had reached the state of Oklahoma. When he stopped to let the woman #Toni to buy him a coffee. When she thanked him and asked him what's in texas for you. He relies simply upon saying payback on the decisions of his life. He wished #Toni a goodbye and wondered what to do next. Alex was in two minds to whether chase after his dipshit of a brother Colt or keep driving down to Austin go have it out with its so-called family members of His beloved father and Brother Sam Not. Michael was monitoring where Colt was. He had run off to be the goodie to shoe guy away running off trying to save someone else other than his brother. In that instant Adam was pissed. Loud and clear Colt he muttered to himself. You want to play two of us can play. When he turned up the radio when highway to youtu.be/ikFFVfObwss to hell was playing. Typical just my life in a nutshell. When he started up his engine. putting his foot down and speeding down to Austin.
Colt - Colt and the other hunters worked their way down the hall, he spotted a figure slumped over in the dark and went to him. It was the priest, checking for to see if he had a pulse he sighed a breath of relief. Turning things over to Justin he picked the priest up over his shoulder and carried him out. About that time backup from the firm had shown up and after the priest was checked out and cleared to go to the hospital he spoke with the backup team. Overwatch had done their jobs and they thought they knew who the spirit was and where to look a young girl had went missing and had never been found. One doctor had been suspected in her disappearance but they couldn't prove it. Blackwater had sent someone out to go talk to him and being in his nineties he'd caved to killing her and burying her in the back of the asylum. Colt joined the part of the team to dig and pulled the rest out for safety. She was going to be mad as hell when they salted and burnt her bones.-

HASHTAG BLESSED
Tumblr media
(Photo by Sam Lavin)
I have re-written this post numerous times. I don't want it to come off as a corny "be thankful" essay, so please just bare with me and give the rest of the post a thought.
I took last week off to find my groove back home, and to spend much needed quality time with friends and family. Last Thursday was my first Thanksgiving home in 7 years, and needless to say, a lot has changed in the last 7 years so it was an interesting experience for me. Regardless of my family's ever-changing dynamic, I have taken the time over the last few days to think about the things that I am truly grateful for in this life. Hashtag BLESSED... amirite?!
I don't want to write about the obvious things that I am thankful for. My family and friends know how grateful I am for them because I tell them every day.
Its obvious that I am grateful to be alive, because I have lost so many people in my life that I see life as a priviledge that should never be wasted.
I am obviously grateful for the opportunities that I have had over the last few months to travel, and pursue my truest passions.
Lastly, I am obviously grateful to have you reading this post right now. Even if you clicked by accident and don't know why you keep reading this, I am grateful for you, because you are allowing my voice to be heard.
Those are the studpidly obvious things that you all know I am already grateful for. I don't need to go into deep detail about how you should be grateful for every moment, and cherish everything and everyone you have in your life because someday all of those things will be gone... you all already know that so I'm not going to make this entire post about those obvious things.
What I do want to write about, are the things that you wouldn't think that I am grateful for.
As many of you know, I lost my Dad to Pancreatic Cancer in 2005, and I am grateful for that experience. Before your jaw drops and you start thinking some sort of way about that sentence, please hear me out. My Dad was a soldier. He did not service in the military, but he served in my life. He was strong, and passionate, and kind. He was everything I hope that I could be someday and more. Losing such a strong and prominenet component of my life has given me more strength than I could've ever imagined, and has shaped me into the person that I am today.
I miss my Dad every single day, and there will forever be an empty space in my heart becasue he is gone, but I know that my life would not be what it is right now if he were here. He taught me perseverence. He taught me not to sweat the small stuff, and don't take life too seriously. He taught me to live, and love with everything you have. Yes, I wish I could go back and cure his cancer, and I wish he was alive to see what has become of my brothers and I, but I can't do that. I can't go back, and I can't control what happened to him, and what happened to my family.
Life in Los Angeles wasn't always as great as I might have made it out to be to people outside of the city. I went through a lot of really tough situations. There were times I wanted to completely throw in the towel. I am grateful for all of those times too, because they have contributed to the person that I am right in this very moment. Those awfully painful, bottom of the bottom, lower than low moments HELPED me.
Pain is necessary in life. We have to feel. If we didn't feel pain, we wouldn't know we are alive. I want to challenge anyone reading this right now to think of the lowest moment in their life, and tell themselves how grateful they are for that moment. Think of the chain of events that happened afterwards. Think about the person you were before, and the person you are now, and how amazing it is that you endured such an awful and painful experience, and still came out on top.
We can't just be grateful for the amazing things in our lives. We have to be grateful for the bad things too, because they are all part of this journey. Those disappointing, and discouraging moments in time make the moments that are outstanding even better.
My life is MY journey, and regardless of the path it leads me on, I know that the ending result will be beautiful, and all of it amazes me. Embrace your journey. Embrace the struggle, and be grateful for every single moment.
