George: That's an interesting question… It's often been said that the dragons are the nuclear weapons of my imaginary world. We were the dragon riders that would only use our dragons to intimidate… but now as more and more countries have that, I think the danger becomes greater and greater and someday someone is going to use them. Right now the danger is very high, if Putin starts losing the war in Ukraine is he going to resort to nukes? And then the question becomes “if Putin does resort to nukes, does America unleash it’s dragons or do we not and let him get away with it?”. So Dr Zimmerman and the Doctor are definitely separate characters and should be submitted (and would be posted) as such. I haven't watched any eps with the ECH yet (I watch out of order) but if I'm understanding memory alpha correctly, that's an extension of the EMH rather than a separate character so unless I'm wrong (in which case, feel free to correct me) he'd count as a version of the EMH. However, I do allow the submission of specific versions so that'd still be a valid submission.

It might take a while tho, sorry to anyone who expected consistency 😔

Democracy is the only viable system

Authoritarianism was functional back when the gold was heavy. The king had to build his treasure, create walls around it, turn it into a castle, hire warriors, ensure safety in the country for tax collectors, ensure the subjects wouldn't side with a foreign master... There was a reason to not fuck things up, and those who fucked things up paid dearly.

Because, even if they escaped with their lives, the gold was heavy. So, they've lost the majority of their gold.

Today, we have digital money. You fuck things up, and, like Putin during Wagner's revolt, you can flee and still be among the most wealthy. So, you don't have a good reason to not fuck things up.

Democracy ensures that at least majority of idiots who vote wrong will pay for it, because the majority isn't rich enough to flee on a sudden notice and keep most of their wealth. So, democracy is the only system that can punish the responsible for fucking things up, making it the only viable system on rational grounds.

What needs to be fixed in democracy is eliminating the unnecessary middlemen in legislative. Switzerland's model is the way to go.

Though we should also keep beheading servants that majorly screw things up for the sovereign.

George: I did indeed intend to make politics one of the main themes of these novels. I hope to make my readers reflect on political issues. For example, when Daenerys Targaryen conquers a city of slave traders and tries to rule it, she realizes that good intentions alone do not make a government program. There is a series of very difficult decisions to make and, no matter what you do, people will hate you.

So again, thank God that Roe v. Wade has finally been overturned, and the abortion battle will now continue in the individual states where it belongs. One thing is for certain. This ruling will make the 2022 midterms, and the 2024 presidential campaign season all the more interesting. Every politician -- whether representative, senator, governor or presidential candidate -- will now be forced to make an open, public stand on one side of the fence or the other. There are no longer any gray areas in which to hide. Red states will now become redder, and blue states will become bluer. That is a given. As many of you have no doubt already read or heard, not surprisingly, former US President Donald J. Trump is taking credit for this monumental, landmark decision, being as he nominated three of the justices who were a part of the majority opinion. While I personally don't care for Trump's constant self-glorification and tooting his own horn, in this regard, he is right. Without those three justices on the bench, this victory for Christian and Conservative values would have never happened. Of course, as a Bible-believing Christian, I also believe that the LORD was behind the developments which ultimately led to this ruling.
