King and Rouxls NOT in a Relationship Masterpost

The spiritual successor to my King and Queen Divorce Masterpost. Similarly to that post, this will all probably be common knowledge to most of the fandom. But apparently, some people still exist out there who think King and Rouxls are a couple (or in some interpretations, that they used to be one, making them exes now), so I guess I gotta make this post to explain to you all why that is incorrect and they were never a thing together in the first place.

(Once again, apologies for the not-so-great screenshot quality. It's easier to grab it from YouTube videos rather than having to play the whole chapters over again for the dialogue, lol...)

Starting off with some shop dialogue from Chapter 1...

Rouxls is very insistent on not being related to Lancer. If he and King were romantically involved, that would make Lancer his stepson (or soon to be one), and therefore related. Then, the line "I placate you for your Father's sake!" refers to the fact that the King makes his subjects take care of Lancer. This makes Rouxls much more like a babysitter than anything, specifically one that Lancer latched onto as a secondary father figure because Spade King can't spend enough time with his son himself. In a way, you could see it as Lancer "adopting" Rouxls as a new dad, rather than the other way around!

And to clarify, the fact that King makes his subjects care for Lancer is established a bit earlier on, with this leaf-fanning Rudinn NPC.

Notice the use of the word "obligatory" here... The original definition of this word is "required by a legal, moral, or other rule; compulsory." So in other words, it seems that they are (quite literally) legally required to take care of the King's son, whether they want to or not.

And then, this last line from the Rudinn about Lancer is actually rather sad... But, looking at Rouxls Kaard's full dialogue about Lancer, we can see that he does genuinely care about the kid deep down. (The following screenshot is taken from the wiki.)

Perhaps this could be at least partially why Lancer latched onto Rouxls in particular over any other subjects.

Now, my next point... In-universe, Rouxls has some fans.

This specific Rudinn NPC, as well as Clover (or at least her friendly middle head), both appear to have crushes on Rouxls, referring to him as a "hunk". If Rouxls was already taken, I'd imagine that they would have mentioned this in their dialogue, since dating the King would probably be hard to keep a secret (especially when Rouxls seems like the type to brag about dating someone in power)... So, to me, this dialogue seems to imply that Rouxls is single.

Bonus fact: Clover's fondness of Rouxls is referenced in Chapter 2 as well, with "Rouxls" being one of the correct answers for choosing a thing she likes during her rematch challenge in the Party Dojo. (Screenshot taken from the wiki again, with Rouxls highlighted for clarity since, uh, there's a lot of options listed, hahaha)

And on the topic of Chapter 2, it also has its own evidence to share.

Throughout Chapter 2, Rouxls is shown to be very fixated on becoming Queen's minion. A post of mine compiling all of these moments can be found here. While it's not entirely confirmed yet to be with romantic intentions, it really seems to me like it is implied as such. Especially with Rouxls thrusting a flower vase bouquet onto Tasque Manager because he thought she was Queen. If this is the case, then it should be safe to say that he is not already in romantic relationship with anyone else canonically when he is going after someone else in this manner.

Now, time to address some potential counterarguments...

A small number of people seemed to have interpreted this line as King and Rouxls being exes as well, instead of just King and Queen. However, I believe Rouxls Kaard's choice of words here is only meant to be in reference to King and Queen's divorce, rather than implying that he had a past relationship with King himself (aside from simply working for him). Describing himself as Queen's "nyew (new) Man about Towne (town)" implies that King was her "old" one. And although Rouxls apparently never met Queen back when she was still a part of Card Castle (since he mistook Tasque Manager for Queen as mentioned before, and Queen certainly doesn't recognize Rouxls either), I imagine it wouldn't be difficult for him to figure out on his own that King and Queen are exes, assuming he was eavesdropping on their conversation before butting in during this scene.

Then, King telling Queen that Rouxls is Lancer's "Lesser Father"... This implies that Lancer has referred to Rouxls as Lesser Dad in front of King. I can only imagine how awkward and embarrassing that must have been for King to hear his son let that nickname slip. And he certainly does not look happy about it here, most likely annoyed by the fact and by Rouxls Kaard's antics in general. So, why would he introduce Rouxls this way to Queen? Well, the answer is simple. If Lancer let the nickname slip in front of King, then it is very possible he could refer to Rouxls as Lesser Dad in front of Queen, too. Remember, Queen came here in the first place to tell Spade King that she is going to take care of his son from now on. So this explanation by King provides her with context in case Lancer starts talking about "Lesser Dad" to her.

Now, I'm almost done here, but I'd like to go over one more thing: Why King and Rouxls are simply not compatible with each other.

Starting with Rouxls, he is not a very loyal person. He constantly switches sides throughout the game so far. From King, to the player, to Queen, to the player again (when all the NPCs help you create the giant mech to fight Giga Queen), then back to Queen in Castle Town.

His shop dialogue is a great example of this. After completing the second K. Round fight, he starts sucking up to you, brags about always being on "the winning side" (gee, I wonder why /s), and even claims that he planned to overthrow the King all along. And even before the K. Round fight, Rouxls's dialogue about King isn't exactly respectful, calling King "cruel and terrifying" and noting how he only got to become the Duke of Puzzles because every other option was fired and/or imprisoned.

Now, moving onto Spade King... He has some pretty bad trust and abandonment issues, to say the least.

His entire reason for hating the Lightners in the first place is because they abandoned him and his kingdom, and when he is overthrown by his own subjects at the end of Chapter 1, he gets very upset and even starts shouting death threats at them.

Although King is much calmer in Chapter 2 (at least towards the Lightners, ironically enough, as he still loses his temper at Queen), he still isn't exactly fond of you. So it's safe to say that he would still not take kindly to traitors, either, even if he might not react as extremely as he did in Chapter 1's ending.

So, considering both characters' details here, I can only conclude that they would make a terrible match for each other. Rouxls is the exact type of person that King is known to despise, and trying to claim otherwise would require stripping away some very significant traits of both King and Rouxls in order to make this disaster pairing "work". It would either be an extremely unhealthy relationship, or an extremely out of character one. And in cases of the latter, at that point I think you should just make your own OCs instead. This ship is not canon, it never was canon, and it never will be canon.

which one of these things is NOT true about Spamton in my Deltarune AU?

1.) He has a forbidden special move only available in the AU’s equivalent of the Snowgrave/Weird Route where he punches people so fast that they explode

2.) Instead of having his NEO form looking like Mettaton’s, it’s a Devilman reference and his Final Attack is vomiting swarms of flies and maggots

3.) Half the items he sells are actually useful, but they’re named similarly to the harmful/useless ones

4.) During the final battle against Giga Queen, he and the other Addisons show up to aid the Fun Gang in an incredibly toyetic combiner robot

5.) He can bench press over 5 tons

6.) Those "jaw hinge” lines on his chin used to be shiny and golden

7.) Pink stops hating him and is now merely annoyed by him because he saves their life

8.) At some point he attempts to shoot Berdly in the face point-blank with an actual, no-fooling shotgun

And the answer is 8. It was actually Rouxls Kaard that he threatened to, in his own words, “BLOW YOUR [*&#$ING] HEAD OFF!!!” for trying to steal from his shop

Headcannons it is :D

Starting with Queen:

She is a Clash of Clans goddess (look the game up if you don't know what it is)

She's responsible for making some of the most difficult Geometry Dash levels--again, look up the game if you SOMEHOW don't know what it is xP

Despite being a Windows XP computer, she can somehow change her own background theme in Hometown, causing anyone who sees it to get utterly confused and distressed

She cares for Noelle so much partly because she can sympathize with her on a level nobody else can

Going off the previous hc, I think she may have had a parent of hers die when she was young, assuming she had parents lol Idk

She secretly thinks Berdly's pretty cool despite all she did to him

She knows things about Kris, Susie, Berdly and ofc Noelle, partly because all of them have used her Lightner computer form at least a few times

Water wouldn't harm Queen, she's too OP for that

Queen didn't show up in Card Kingdom until she was in her early 20s, and likely didn't stay there for even a decade

Queen's in her early 30s by the time we meet her in-game, in my eyes 31-33

Now for Spade King, some might be the same as yours :>

Spade King didn't have the best parenting growing up and was always under heavy scrutiny/criticism, likely from a combination of anger issues and his parents having super high expectations

He hung out with the other kings but always felt like an outlier and felt left out, but never mentioned it to them. He never fully trusted them in terms of leadership skills and general competence

Spade King's parents either passed away or vanished somehow when he was a late teen and he had to learn how to be a ruler at a younger age. I personally think all the kings come from royal families, and Spade King's parents were the first to go. This forced Spade King to cooperate with the other, much older royals, which he did not like at all

C. Round was kinda Spade King's version of a family pet and one of the very few Darkners he actually enjoyed hanging out with as a child, and because of this he later let C. Round roam free as it pleased and never put any restrictions on it

Spade King absolutely hated Jevil even before Jevil went insane. I like to think Jevil went insane while all four kings were in charge, and before that often did acts for the kings' parents. Jevil would often target and tease Spade King when he was young, albeit in a silly and playful manner, but Spade King always held grudges against him for it

Seam is one of the very few Darkners Spade King respects, hence why Seam is just chillin' in their shop with no need to attack or imprison Kris & Susie in the first chapter. Spade King always liked Seam because Seam would often interact with him in a calm and compassionate manner when he was a child

Spade King always tried to make room for Lancer despite his very busy job, and was often the one who cooked for his son

Spade King knew how incompetent Rouxls Kaard acted but always believed Rouxls had tons of secret potential he was wasting away, hence why he promoted him to Duke of Puzzles in an attempt to get Rouxls to show his true colors, albeit it didn't work lol

Spade King mandated that all Rudinn Rangers wear visors to protect their faces so they don't accidentally hurt themselves with their longer knives, guards aren't really competent if they accidentally harm themselves all the time xP

One year for Halloween Spade King had Lancer dress up as a pumpkin while he himself dressed up as a blueberry, who says kings can't have a little fun sometimes?

Spade King's in his mid-to-late 30s in-game, likely around 34-37

Spade King is a coffee addict, Idc if you don't like coffee you have to admit the guy needs something to keep him functioning during the day

Queenie my beloved

1. As someone who used to play that with certain hacks and cheats, she would absolutely spend hours attacking other clans and villages whenever she was bored. She'd like the Pekas and maybe the Archers

2. I will never forgive her for her crimes against my eyes and self esteem when it came to those levels.

3. Hehe she likes confusing people

4. AUGH FUUUUCK. Ok, this reminds me on the trans Noelle hc people have, and that with my own trans Queen hc, I can totally see queen maybe seeing a bit of herself in Noelle and wants to help her in many other things

5. Personally, my hc is that her parents were quite neglectful, not usually out of melisious intent, but because they didn't really understand how to take care of a child, but she always held them close to her heart, so despite everything, she would have still been really upset when this happened

6. BERDLY! Ngl, I always imagined that she wouldn't have minded spending more time with him, but because her objective required Noelle and not him, she kinda pushed him away in order to achieve her goal.

7. What has she seen in these guys search history

8. Thank god. Lancer would probably have done the water bucket above the door prank lmao

9. I always imagined darkners could travel between dark worlds, but I do see her not going to Card Kingdom until later, most likely due to a arranged marriage with King

10. That's actually pretty close to where I see her, but I tend to see her and King in a similar age, so personally I'd say between 35-40, but you're age seems more likely lmao

Now to Kingy :D

1. Abso-fucking-lutely. This man did not have a stable childhood which affected him with how he patented Lancer. Not even the previous monarchs liked his parents too much

2. I feel like he and the other king fought alot, both as kids and as adults. None of them fully trusted each other

3. Yeah, I imagin he was crowed between 17 or 18, so he was still very young and waa definitely not suitid to rule, epessilly along side monarchs he would have otherwise avoided. Not to mention they probably dismissed him since they were all older and experienced in ruling and didn't think he had any good input.

4. THATS SO CUUUTE!!! I can see baby king outside playing with c.round trying to teach him silly tricks and showing him off

5. Ngl, I see why you(and alot of other lol) think this, but personally, I like to think they were close. Historically, kings and jester were actually pretty close and the kings allowed jesters to do alot, so I like to implement that into dr.. it is fucked that he went after King when he was just a child. That is fucked and I understand why King held grudges (I would too lmao)

6. Lowkey, I love imaging that Seam is old as fuck and they often took care of baby king, sort of the same way Rouxls cares for Lancer, and he began referring Seam as a parental figure, sometimes accidently calling them "Mom" when he was tired

7. YES KING ALWAYS TRIED TO MAKE TIME FOR LANCER DESPITE HIS JOB IDC WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS HE LOVED HIS SON. Also hc king loves cooking for Lancer and always tried to cook himself, though it was rare considering he was usually busy

8. My man thought. Rouxls is definitely op but he's also pretty stupid when it comes to his powers and doesn't know how to use them to his full ability, despite the help and, let's be honest, threats from King, or hell, maybe even the other kings.

9. Now I'm just imaging the Rudinn Rangers out there fighting without any protection and the king are like "That's fine" while king flips his shit over their safety.

10. PUMPKIN LANCER AND BLUBERRY KING!!! King crying every time he sees Lancer in the costume because he's so god damn adorable. And King in a bluberry costume because fuck those people who think kings are always supposed to be serious and not have any fun

11. Absolutely. A chaotic son as well as a naturally chaotic kingdom and castle? He needs something to keep him going. This with his sweet tooth means he would Absolutely love mochas because of the added sugar and chocolate.

Hey there! back again with my delta rune bullshit. I finished chapter two! i hope you guys like it. I plan on starting chapter 3 right now. I'm enjoying this story again.

Summary: roulx kaard seems to have fallen for a certain lightener

Chapter 2/?

‘Maybe next time’ seemed to come too fast for the duke’s liking. Nervously, the Duke of puzzles paced in the castle's kitchen. Seemed the only place he could catch a break from his mischievous imp acquaintance. The duke's hands rubbed against each other, fingers fluttering and fumbling over each other. His hands fidgeting. His mind jittering. His face sweating. This was a BAD idea...

Taking in the deepest breath he could muster; he gave an even bigger sigh as he stood up straight. “I'm my own independent Kaard! What does it matter anyway? It is just a lightener. What harm could come from it? …. I take that back.” groaning, The tall blue duke walked over to the sink. His hands gripping the cold tile against his skin. Looking over the sink, he could see his own reflection. And could finally see how darkened with blush his cheeks were. Out of embarrassment, he swishes one of his hands into the water to disturb the reflection. Using that same hand, as he stood up straight, he wiped his hand across his face to combat his heated cheeks.

“a lightener....” The duke held his wet hand over his mouth as he muttered. He stared at the floor as his soul thumped within his chest. The thumping ringing all the way up into his ears. “It's just a Lightner....a stupid.... sweet.... funny.... adorable-", snapping back to reality, the duke shook his head to shake away these annoying thoughts. He couldn’t believe it. A lightener?? That will surely have him killed. The duke would never stand as low as to fall for a lightener. That is preposterous! Just utter silly. A man of such high standards and performance would never fall as low as a lightener... would he? Never mind that. He had things to do and places to be. Shaking the rest of the water off his hand. He stood up from his relaxed position and wiped his hands on his shirt. Brushing off any water that so happened to stay on his hands. Clasping his hands behind his back. He heads toward the kitchen doors. Each step of his royal boots made a soft ‘clacking’ sound as they tapped against the tile. He held his head high and glared at the passing Rudin's who seemed to be failing at their current task. They swallowed down a gulp as they cowardly stood off to the side, letting the tall duke pass in front of them. Rouxl’s rolled his eyes with a sneer. The Rudin’s could feel his judgment even after he left the hall. Taking the elevator to the top floor, the duke rolled his neck and reached in the air to stretch. This elevator being particularly the longest in the kingdom. Why? No one knows.

The elevator door opened with a mechanical grind, the noise piercing the dukes' ears with the dreaded noise. Quickly covering his ears with his hands, he exited the elevator with a huff of annoyance. “Someone really needs to fix that-”. Opening the doors to his shop on the highest floor of the castle, he took in the scent of utter useless junk sprawled around the shop. For the duke, one of the highest most well-known royal bodies in this entire castle, besides the king and his son, his shop was the complete opposite. It was comfortable within his shop. But definitely it was as chaotic as jevil. The duke sat in his chair behind the counter as he pulled out a notebook. It didn’t have much of anything else. Other than crossed out failed puzzle ideas.

Great time passed by. 5 minutes. 10 minutes. An hour? Rouxls was growing bored. There wasn’t much to do around this godless castle. Rubbing his temple in frustration. He couldn’t come up with a single good puzzle. Putting his notebook back in his drawer, he put his cheek in his hand as he stared off into the distance. His mind was still fluttering about the lightener. Could jevil be right? It couldn’t hurt, would it? How much trouble could he really get in? All these thoughts swarmed the duke's mind as he started to panic slightly. Nervousness kicking in once more. Fiddling with his feet under the desk, trying to get comfortable, his thoughts were rudely dismissed as the bell above his shop door rang. Snapping back to reality once more. He quickly gazed upward; the lightener held the door open for the young prince who rode his bike into the duke's shop. The duke quickly fumbling to sit up straight. To look at least halfway decent.

“Lesser dad! Hi!” The young prince smiled as he rode in. Mud trailed across the floor in bike tire prints. Rouxls closes his eyes and takes a deep breath as he once again rubs his temples.

“Lancer. How many times must I remind thee. Thous bike stays outside.”

“Oh! Sorry lesser dad! I'll put it out there now!” lancers smile grew wider as rouxls frustration grew. New tire tracks leaving a second line of mud on the floor. “There! It's now outside!... oh. Sorry about the mess lesser dad”

“i will cleaneth later-” the duke grunted wiping his hands down his face.

“Kids. Am I right?” the lightener snorted as he smiled at the duke with a look of pity. The duke jumped, startled at the second voice. Completely forgetting the lightener had entered the shop alongside the prince. “Neat shop you’ve got Mr. Duke”

The lightener was in awe at the miscellaneous clutter within the shop. He walked over to a few weapons that lay off to the side. Admiring them with a slight glint in his eye. His adoration was quite amusing. It was like watching a small dog pick out its first bone. Picking up a sword, he gave a royal stance trying to impress the lancer before they both laughed. Rouxls sitting silently off to the side. He could feel his face blush with a dark blue hue.

“Hey lancer, check this out!” gently grabbing a scarf from off a side rack, he put it around his neck before laughing, placing his hands on his hips. “Guess who I am” the lightener joked with a lighthearted smile.

A gasp emitted from the young prince. A smile immediately rose to his face as he pointed at yellow.

“Your um! Um! Uhh...”

“ralsie silly”

“Yeah! Him!” With a chuckle. The lightener takes off the scarf and pats lancer on his head.

“You should probably be headed back to your dad little dude, your dads going to kill you if you don’t head out now” the lightener glanced at the watch on his wrist. Lancers' immediate mood changing. With a sigh, he nods and waves running out of the front of the shop.

“Goodbye lightener! Goodbye lesser dad! I love you!” the young prince smiled as he gave the biggest wave goodbye he could muster as he rode off down the hall. The lightener waved back as he chuckled to himself. He glanced at the floor before snorting. “my bad. If you need me to help you clean this up, I don’t mind in the slightest.”

“n-nonsense.” the duke replied. Fixing his fly away hairs. Making sure he looked as presentable as as possible. “I can dealth with this messeth later.”

“If you say so boss.” The lightener kept his smile as he walked over to the counter, his elbows resting against the smooth wooden counter. “So. Lesser dad huh? Tell me about yourself. I haven't seen you much around but hiding in the shadows. Someone so important like you must have a reason for that I bet.”

“M-me? Thoust wants to know about me?”

“Well yeah. That’s what I said isn't it?” The lightener gives a confused smile. Don’t fuck this up rouxls. Fixing his composer to try and stutter a little less.

“i amst the Duke of Puzzles, Rouxls Kaard. My hobbies includest calligraphy, lawkeeping, bugkeeping, cages... and long walks in the dungeon.”

“Huh... neat” the lightener gives a genuine smile as he finds a stool next to the counter to sit on. “mind if I ask you a few more questions? You seem like a pretty neat dude.” “thoust want to speaketh with me more?”

“Well yeah! I've been through this castle in and out. But I've never really heard much about you except when lancer raves about Ya. I've gotta ask, no one seems to really talk about the king. What's his deal anyway?” Rouxl’s straightens himself, the look on his face held clear distaste for the king.

“Yes, the King! A terrible Man! An awful Monarcke! Never likedeth that Guye, really! i just envisionethed, perhaps... If I acceptedst this High-Ranking Position...” the duke mumbles his last words in sort of an embarrassing way.

“he's kind of a dick to be completely honest with you. Not sure what his deal is. I haven't met the guy up close and personally. But I really don’t think he’d wanna shake my hand.”

“I prayeth thouest never haveth to...”

“What about lancer hm? Seems to take quite a big liking to you. I don’t think even I was ever as close to my dad as he is with you. Its quite cute.”

“His Son, on the other hand, is more troublesome than a fistful of fleas! He alwayst asks me the Worste Queries, And calleth me his "Lesser Dad. Our relation is NONE, you little water-beetle! I placate you for your Father's sake! I do not Wisheth to hear your MP3's! I would rather listen to the sweet song of Death!” The frustration the duke had over the child was very clear, however he seemed to genuinely care about the young prince. The lightener was slightly taken aback. This caught the duke's attention rather quickly.

‘Rouxls, you're going to blow it’ the duke thought to himself. ‘Try again’

“... How is he, anyhow?” yellow’s face softened from his concerned gaze. Rubbing the back of his neck, he softly smiled.

“he's doing okay. I wish I could say differently about his time with HIM. However, that sort of thing speaks for itself. Strong kid for what his dad does to him. I'm glad he has at least one person to turn to.”

“I supposeth so... say, thoust has yet to speake about one's self. What shall I calleth thee?”

“Hm?” The lightener cleared his throat, snapping back into reality after zoning out. “oh” The lightener gives a smile and a wink to the duke, completely catching the duke off guard.

“Names yellow.” The lightener extends his hand out to the darkener duke. Stunned for a mere moment, the duke stares between the lightener and his hand. The lightener makes a gesture to his hand, which just stood in front of the duke, waiting for him to take it. “You going to shake my hand rouxls?”

“y-yeseth of course!” Grasping a hold of the lightener's hand, he held the much smaller hand with both of his own. The hand is small, but strong. Healed lacerations littered the skin with these permanent marks. Marks of a future warrior. A future leader. Rouxls was in awe at the small hand before him. Firmly but gently shaking it as he looked back into the lightener's eyes. His eyes were a sort of sapphire blue. He watched those same eyes glance down at his watch that had been turned upright. Within a second of contact, the lightener's eyes shrunk as he pulled his hand away from the duke. Leaving him utterly confused. The lightener frantically tapped at the glass on his watch. The time being set to a little note inside the watch that wrote ‘time to go’, as time worked differently in the dark world.

“uhm”. The lightener glanced at the door behind him then back at rouxls as he backs towards the door. Rouxls stands up in confusion as he starts to get up and walk around the counter towards the lightener, to help ease his unknown sudden anxiety.

“I've gotta get going, it's getting pretty late. But hey! I'll see you round tomorrow.” walking towards rouxls. He puts his hand on one of rouxls’ hands as he smiles. “It was nice getting to know you duke! And hey, if lancer likes you. I guess I do too.”

The duke stood frozen in his spot. His body tense as the lightener grabbed a donut from off the counter, bit down on half of it with his mouth to keep it in place. tossing rouxls a small bag with few, coins in it, for his troubles before opening the glass doors of the duke's shop. Hiding against the inner wall of the front of the building. The lightener hid as he watched two Rudin guards pass by him. Muttering something among themselves whilst they patrolled the area. Waiting for them to pass around a corner. He gave rouxls a two fingered salute against his forehead before taking off in the direction they came from. Sneaking down to the back of the shop and down to the fourth floor of the building, looking for a way to the 3rd floor. Eventually making it out of the castle.

Rouxls on the other hand, remained glued in the spot where he stood. Shaking his head, he regained his composure and his consciousness. Assessing what just happened, he glanced at the glass doors to his right. Then down to the muddy floor. His face shifted to annoyance as he groaned. Rubbing his temple with two fingers of his free hand. In the other, a small red token bag lay. Glancing down at the bag, he opens it gently. The gold rope was tied loosely around it. Dropping the rope to the floor. Inside the bag held fifty dark dollars' worth of coins. As well as the coins, the bag also contained a small handwritten letter. How did the lightener have time to write a note? Not even the duke knew. Taking the note out carefully. He tossed the small bag of coins onto the counter behind him. Opening the note, it read:

“Meet me in the Scarlett Forest at dawn.” The signature was a small yellow smiley face. The note was also written in crayon. How professional. It took the duke a second to process everything that had happened in just the last hour. Taking several moments to gather his own thoughts. He needed to find his friends shawm and jevil and tell them everything immediately. Pocketing the note, the duke grabs an extra coat, tossing it on as when it becomes night, the castle is like ice. Slipping on his insulated gloves, he takes his leave towards the forest. His mind couldn’t quite process everything that had just happened yet. Little did he know this was just the beginning of his new story. The next Chapter of Unknown.
