harry would burn the world for his friends.
hermione would kill anyone for her friends.
ron would take a nap if he weren’t busy making sure neither of them did that.

Can you be awesome and give me some well thought out prongsfoot headcanons? (If you have the time), I want to write a story with then and I need more on their dynamic, than just the basics.
(Friendship and Romantic! 😁)
omg hi yes!! i’ve never gotten an ask like this, i don’t think, and my hcs usually develop during stories so let’s see if i can do it :p
x
- soulmates in every universe, if not romantic then definitely platonic. they’ll find their way to each other, always.
- james has a crooked nose that sirius loves kissing. he’s very possessive about it, actually
- j might be generally a bit thick bc of the whole spoiled-only-child thing but he’s particularly attuned to sirius’ moods and emotions. i can imagine him writing long ass letters to his parents in the first few years whenever something tripped him up (which was, ykno, everything considering how sheltered he was) to so for help and sirius featured a lot in this (mum, how do i help with nightmares? mum, he doesn’t like treacle tart what do i doooooo, mum he wasn’t allowed to fly as a kid this is a travesty, mum he’s sad a lot and chai doesn’t always help, mum i don’t know how to make him smile etc etc)
- this one’s controversial, i think, but i love thinking of sirius as modelling james’ behaviour. we know he grew up being fed violent hatred + a superiority complex the size of Everest yeah? fully believe his process of unlearning started with james (the first time he used the word mudblood, our boy probably clutched his pearls, scandalised, ‘what are you doing u can’t say that!!’ so sirius started turning to j as a barometer for how to act, sometimes, bc he realised he couldn’t trust his family (and by extension, his own) behaviour. this isn’t instant, mind, but a gradual, time & labor intensive process and even after he grew out of it, i think sirius had this subconscious tendency to look for james’ approval.
- i hate the whole ‘james matured for a girl’ arc so my take on it is that his ‘growth’ came from a combination of ailing, elderly parents + rising war tensions + most importantly, sirius. end of 5th year he got a first hand view into the treatment his best mate received by his family and that horror made him want to be the best he could for sirius. i’ve always seen james as a protector and a caregiver, someone who takes people under his wing & looks after them, and i don’t think it was ever more obvious than around sirius. post 5th year, he gained a focus that he lacked before and would spend a lot of time just picking up on skills that could help him be better. duelling, defence, first aid, knitting, cooking etc etc. anything to feel useful.
- the shift from friendship to romantic would be tricky & probably require outside intervention or a lot of time, i think. they were already so close as friends that it just never occurs to them to take it any further ykno? their hearts & souls are intertwined, they’re super physically affectionate, and they’re already each other’s no. 1. so someone either has to bring it to their attention, they take yeaaaaars to realise ‘huh. this isn’t how i feel towards others’ or they live a wonderfully fulfilling qpp life together.
- i’ve talked about this before but physical!!! affection!!! and not just in terms of like, kisses or hugs but touch. they’re always in contact in some way. it’s comforting, safe. arms around waists, shoulders, hips/chin resting on the other, leg slung across, hand on a back or leg. you get it right? it’s subconscious, it’s natural, and they don’t even realise they’re doing it unless someone points it out
- sunshine and sunshine protector!!!! james was loud and brash and took all the space in a room. he was also sensitive bc he’s not told no often so when it has to be done, u need to do it in a certain way so he doesn’t internalise it as a personal failing and shut down. sirius is the best one to do it bc he can stand up to james w/o being intimidated + realise that the carrot works better than the stick w him. there’s a very real risk of his light fading out. at the same time, this makes sirius very protective of him. it’s why i wrote shovel talk. even in a universe where lily & sirius were friends, i think he’ll have a Talk with her to confirm her intentions. sirius is not willing to take chances with his james.
- pet names! james called sirius darling and my love and honey and sweetheart because he’s an old soul in a young body. sirius called james love (and sometime babe/baby). their go to for each other was ‘si’ and ‘jamie’ respectively, which was a term of affection on its own bc only they used it, no one else.
- james has *always* been attracted to sirius; he just didn’t realise it bc he thought this was how everyone felt towards sirius. ‘oh yeah he’s so ethereally beautiful, it’s just like, a fact of life and everyone knows it’ and thinks the random boners are normal until one day he realised that, no, that’s not actually the norm & he’s just a simp who thinks everything sirius does is perfect (think chin in hand, heart eyes, sighing)
x
ok i’m gonna cut myself off here bc this is already criminally long but i think it’s pretty clear i can go on for days lol. i tried to include both but i’m not great w romantic so i hope that came thru 🙈🙈
pls tag me in ur story when u write it (even if the hcs don’t help lol u can still use them in a process of elimination to find ur niche)!! i’d love, love , love to read it + always here if u wanna brainstorm 💜
#james potter#sirius black#prongsfoot#gosh this became so long. i was worried i wouldn’t have anything to say and then i couldn’t stop 💀 had to cut myself off after a point#friend this is the first piece of fandom content i’ve written in over a month so thank u sm for the ask#still don’t know if it’s any good but hey. it’s something. i’ll take it.#i’ve talked about james as sirius’ moral compass before but i don’t mean it in a ‘he couldn’t think for himself’ way#rather that when he doubted himself—which was a lot—he’d always go to j for confirmation#(it’s a bit of projection for me bc i do something similar w a friend of mine too)#and whenever he worried he was being a little too much like his family—james would set him straight#just wanted to clear that up bc i’ve seen someone vaguing me ab this and i don’t want them to get the wrong idea again lol#also re james: i can relate to being loud & Too Much. someone once told me i talked too much and i stayed quiet the entire day#not one word escaped my mouth. made people v uncomfortable#i’ve done the rubber band against my wrist thing too & i can see james doing something like that#ig regardless of how one writes j&s the one think i’ll look for is this implicit understanding and bond?#like they’re always each other’s no. 1 and it’s absolutely unconditional. like even when they’re fighting they’ll take care of each other#that’s the relationship i look for (which i don’t often get lolcrie)#but yeah. that’s me. doesn’t have to be everyone 💀#i didn’t mention it here bc i’ve talked ab it so much but also fully think j was the only one who could fluster sirius#like the boy had a great poker face; probably also a rbf; prided himself ron being a master of his emotions#then along comes one jfp with his doe eyes and stupid fluffy hair and bright big smile#sirius has never blushed so much in his *life*#also think people who don’t know them (aka non hogwarts folx) would probably get the wrong-est impression of sirius if they see him around j#bc he’s everything that he’s *not* around him#it’s actually really funny to imagine lol#mhm ok ye gonna shut up now. thanks for the lovely ask anon & sorry for all the word vomit!#pen’s asks#pen’s notes

thinking about how we've reached a weird point where a lot of people genuinely believe that harry isn't a violent little shit. like okay he won't use a killing curse (probably bc its a spell that was used on him and his parents and he's seen how u can't fight it but idk) but he will beat you with his bare hands and one of the first things he wanted to buy at diagon was a book on curses to use on dudley. this is a boy who genuinely does believe in vengeance and that punching a bigot is the answer and it's so strange to act like he'd be horrified at the idea of hurting anyone.

I have been reading some of your TW thoughts and your posts about Stiles being mean made me think of that moment in the show where he's helping Scott break into the PD and he's like "my dad's under investigation so I can't be caught here, if you guys get caught I'm leaving you both for dead." Stiles def has like a hierarchy for people and situations and he's not like pack mom who is constantly sacrificing himself for every single other person's comfort or has a strong "right" moral compass lol.
lol never 4 get that when i and @dear-massacre talked about how stiles tends to be feminized by sterek fandom and made into The Woman In The Relationship someone sent me ask all but accusing me of being homophobic based on the mere fact i live in florida. which i guess makes me solely responsible for ron desantis's anti-lgbqa policies and not the florida gop. sorry guys.
stiles is an asshole. he'll bite you. i like that about him. he's not a very nurturing character tbh.
let's not even get to how a lot of scott's characteristics are given to stiles by fandom. just look at how fandom has depicted stiles relationship to isaac and liam over time. than they complain scott's a bad character. yeah because you lobotomized him so you could call him stupid and a bad friend. some y'all aren't ready for that conversation.
let stiles be a dick 2k24.

One thing I noticed about Forever's morality compared to the rest of the island, is that unlike them, being his friend or family doesn't erase their mistakes.
It's very common to see people in the island protect and lie for their friend even if it goes against their "moral compass" like Baghera with Bad and the situation about Ron. They put their friend's safety first over strangers. And sometimes not even strangers.
But Forever isn't like that. If you commit a crime, one that hurts innocent people, you should pay for it. It doesn't matter that you're his friend. Even if he doesn't hate you for it, even if he'll try to help you out still. He still thinks that you should face the consequences.
He won't look the other way, he won't support you in your crimes. He won't lie for you. Hell try to make you give up that path and repent your ways.

happy birthday to harry james potter here’s some reasons why he always has been and always will be one of my favorite characters in all of fiction:
was treated like garbage his entire childhood and still has an inexhaustible capacity for love and forgiveness
u can talk shit abt him but if u talk shit abt his friends he’ll launch a brutal verbal tirade against u
god tier sense of humor. sarcasm level 100 never misses
bravest boy on earth??? this kid found out he had to DIE to get rid of some crazy ass evil dictator and literally walked stone cold to his own death to save everyone else??
let’s not forget he liked his lightning scar at first before he found out what it rly was :( he thought it was cool :(
unheard of emotional maturity for a teenager. instantly understood that ron was insecure abt being the youngest boy in his family and not having a lot of money and always tried to find ways to make him feel better abt it
had cute lil daydreams abt being the triwizard champion before he got forced into it for real
UNmatched bisexual energy, literally always sizing everyone up and declaring them attractive or monstrous, no in between
so so humble abt his talents and abilities yes but also SO arrogant abt his moral code. he said my moral compass is the correct one and i will follow that and ur rules and laws can truly eat my ass and honestly that’s so sexy of him
animals always like him 😔
literally BORN to wield power and not abuse it. boy destroyed the elder wand bc he liked his old one better
drinks his respect women juice every morning and every night before bed rmr when he got so righteously offended that hermione suggested he thought the prince couldn’t be a woman bc he didn’t think a woman could be that smart
also rmr when he choked out mundungus for stealing shit from grimmauld djebfjnwbfne
literally so stubborn that the imperius curse barely works on him lmaoooo
successfully used crucio to defend mcgonagall’s honor like?? ok king go off!!
just the best boy in the whole world. that’s all

In defense of Totomaru Isshiki and the pitfalls of a John Watson-esque character
I am kinda frustrated with the way the fandom treats Toto Isshiki. This reminds me of the way the Sherlock Holmes fandom disregard Dr. John Watson. I’ve read some negative comments on Crunchyroll and see the lack of enthusiasm on Tumblr when it comes to Toto-centered gifs. Not a gripe, just an observation.
I can’t help it. I am a Watsonian by heart and will defend any JW-esque characters with the likes of Toto Isshiki, for example.
It is the same pitfall that befalls any adaptation or iteration that portrays SH and JW lookalikes.
People disregard the significance of a JW-esque character and elevate the SH ones, which of course understandable on the surface. The SH ones are flashy, eccentric, distant, aloof, but a genius. The JW ones are ordinary, insignificant. He’s one of us.
The adaptations I know that respect JW are the Granada Holmes, Elementary (in some aspects) and the early Sherlock BBC. And maybe, the mouse version.
Although, Ron’s attitude is miles away from the many adaptations of SH, he treats Toto as an equal as the latter has seen him at his lowest and the only one who succeeded in encouraging him to make a comeback, takes consider of the way Toto gauges people, in short Toto is his moral compass, knows that he’s in good hands with Toto around him, even in a dangerous situation. Ron also appreciates Toto’s empathy and feels humbled every time Toto admires his talent in deduction, which certainly feeds his ego. Most of all, in the manga, the two might have accumulated other friends, but they know that there are only the two of them together.
Lastly, culled from this thesis:
It is Watson’s regular function to register bafflement in the face of mystery and to express wonder as Holmes solves it. Perhaps it should be emphasized, however, that though Watson is a foil he is not a burlesque character, as the radio and motion picture dramatizations have portrayed him. His bewilderment is intended not so much to reveal him as the butt as to add luster to Holmes and his deductions. If Watson does play Sancho to Holmes’s Quixote, the joke, when there is one, is as likely to be directed toward the eccentric knight of the nineteenth century rationalism as made at the expense of his faithful squire. We may patronize him somewhat, but we also take our cue from him on how to react.
That’s also Totomaru Isshiki in a nutshell.

Hermione Granger x Slytherin Fem!Reader

Also this is set during 6th year (half blood prince) if that's not clear.. anyway hope u enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You are the daughter of one of the richest and oldest wizarding families. Both your mother and father are known Death Eaters. They've raised you to follow in their footsteps, upholding the family's honor has always been taught to be your only priority.
You never had the desire to defile your parents, no goals beyond the ones laid out for you by them.
This all changed when you met Hermione Granger.
The Gryffindor girl turned your world upside down. Your affection for her forced you to question your principles, your morals, everything important to you. Everything you thought you knew.
The two of you were assigned to sit next to each other in potions in year 5. She saw you struggling and offered to help you a few times and naturally the two of you started speaking to each other more.
The chances of you meeting, let alone forming a friendship was slim to none, and yet somehow it happened.
Your relationship blossomed rather quickly, you had just met but it felt like you've known each other your entire lives. Within just a few months she even convinced you to join Dumbledore's Army and you truly believed in the cause, even after Umbridge shut it down.
Although you were a little hesistant to let Hermione in at first. You weren't sure if you wanted her to really know you.
For her, it was different. Meeting you felt like a breath of fresh air. Eventhough you were a Slytherin, she thought you to be the most profound person she'd ever met. She felt that she could truly open up to you without judgement.
She shared everything with you. Her passions, her dreams, her most piercing sorrows.
In turn, you opened up to her as well. Both of you deeply appreciated the solace you provide each other.
Hermione fell in love with you for many reasons, but what really stood out to her was your heart. Your perpetuity for kindness. You don't extend it to just anyone ofcourse. You don't believe everybody deserves kindness, most people use it as a weapon, a way to take advantage of you.
However, the compassion you showed her had always been constant and unconditional.
You were the most selfless person she knew.
Eventhough she couldn't fully understand why you treated certain people harsher than others, she still respected you. She trusted your judgement completely. Hermione was incredibly intelligent and you seemed to be the only other person that was her equal in that respect.
---
You were alone with Hermione in the Room Of Requirement. The two of you spent most of your free periods there because it was the only place you could be together free of judgement from others.
The other Slytherins still made comments about you hanging around Hermione, a Gryffindor, a muggle born. Your own parents have sternly warned you multiple times to keep different company but you will not give them the satisfaction. They just don't understand what Hermione meant to you.
You were willing to give up everything to be with her, this you were certain.
Hermione was sitting on the floor and you were laying down, your head was in her lap. She's stroking your hair as you listened to her tell you the things that have been happening with Ron lately.
She has been aware of Ron's crush on her for a few years now but it had only gotten more intense since year 4. She cares a lot for Ron but she feels no romantic feelings for him.
Hermione can't bring herself to tell him because Ron can be very emotional and might take it too personally, she doesn't want to risk ruining their friendship. She can't exactly tell Harry about any of it so she results to venting about it to you.
You've made a few snide remarks towards the ginger haired boy from time to time because honestly, you found him a bit pathetic but a part of you still empathizes with him.
Hermione is remarkable. Mature beyond her years, exceptionally bright and truly breathtakingly beautiful. You loved and adored her with all your heart and you understood why he would think the same.
Your heart swells everytime you look at her and every moment spent with her you felt the urge to pinch yourself, just to make sure you weren't dreaming.
Hermione finishes telling you about Ron and you're met with a few seconds of silence, your mind started to wander.
You let out a sigh.
"What is it?" Hermione asks, worried she had said something wrong to upset you.
"Nothing it's just-" You started, not quite sure if it was worth sharing with your girlfriend.
You decided to tell her anyway.
"Draco's been really distant lately and I don't understand why." You admitted.
"The more I try to get him to talk to me the more he pushes me away. The only time he ever really speaks to me is to try and convince me to join the Death Eaters." You paused, unsure if this was a topic suitable to discuss with her.
Hermione just hums in response, indicating that she's listening and wants you to continue.
"I don't know, I cant put my finger on it but my gut tells me that something really bad is about to happen." You finish.
"Well from what I've seen your gut is rarely ever wrong. Do you think maybe becoming a death eater changed him? Maybe he's distant because you refuse to become one of them." The brown haired girl suggests.
"Maybe, I just feel like there's more to it. I can't shake the feeling that there's something big he's not telling me." You answer as your eyebrows furrow.
You do love Draco, you understood he acts the way he does because of his father's harsh treatment and expectations of him. Something you can deeply relate to.
You felt for him. He was like a brother to you and it troubled you that he wasn't being honest.
Hermione moves her hand to your forehead, she rubs small circles with her thumb near the crease of your eyebrows. You close your eyes at the sensation, taking in a deep breath.
You feel yourself relax almost immediately.
"I'm sorry he's not speaking to you, I know how much you care for him." Hermione says honestly.
"But maybe its for the best." Your girlfriend voices out and your eyes shoot open.
Hermione notices your confused look so she continues.
"I just mean that since he's with the death eaters now maybe it's better that he's avoiding you. It makes it easier for you to stay away from them." Hermione clarifies.
You close your eyes again and she resumes the pattern of rubbing her thumb across your forehead.
"Maybe you're right." You pause. "I still miss who he was before all of this."
"I suspect you feel the same." You add.
You sit up now looking at her in the eyes.
"Meaning?" Hermione asks her eyebrows now furrowed.
"I meant with Harry. On top of everything that's already going on I heard he lost Sirius. I can't imagine how he's handling it all." You explain.
"He has been a lot angrier lately, I try my best to give him the space he needs. But I think he knows he needs Ron and I now more than ever." She replies.
"Well how are you dealing with all this?" You ask Hermione, earnestly.
She doesn't say anything for a few seconds. A full smile suddenly forming across her face, your girlfriend leans in and plants a kiss on your lips.
Your initial shock dissipates quickly as you kiss her back with just as much need.
"Okay, what was that for?" You breathe out against her lips as soon as she pulled away.
"You are the only person to ever ask me how I am." The brown haired girl states.
You let out a laugh. A smile now spread across your face.
"Well I am your girlfriend I think it would be a bit shitty if I didn't care about your well being." You quipped.
She leans forward and places her lips against yours again, this time she moves her entire body and straddles you, legs on either side of your hips.
"I don't think you understand how amazing you are." Hermione says looking into your eyes as she grabs your face in both her hands.
You lean in to kiss her again, deeply. All your love for the smaller girl pouring out into a single kiss.
Hermione shifts in your lap and your hands reflexively move to rest on her waist. She runs her tongue across your bottom lip signaling that she wanted to deepen the kiss, you allow her.
Her tongue meets yours and she lets out a small moan at the sensation. Your hands glide to her back and eventually settling on her ass.
Your breathing both getting heavier as the kiss becomes more heated. Your hands roam Hermione's body and she squirms in your lap, wanting to feel more of you.
You disconnect your lips to plant a kiss on Hermione's neck, you run your tongue along the base of her jaw and this earned another moan from your girlfriend. Her hand finds the back of your neck and she pulls you in closer.
You move your hands up to find Hermione's tie, you loosen it and she lets you pull it over her head. Just as you were about to unbutton her shirt you are interrupted by footsteps.
You hear someone clear their throat.
"Y/n." Draco says, his tone indifferent to the sight before him.
Hermione scrambles off your lap and you both quickly stand up, gathering yourselves.
"Draco." You respond, matching his attitude.
You step forward, deliberately placing yourself in between Hermione and Draco. You understood that she could handle herself but there is still no telling what he might try and do to her in his current state.
It was then you took notice of the green apple he had in his hand, becoming increasingly perplexed. You didn't understand what his business was.
"Now what brings you here?" You ask, meeting his stern gaze.

q!BAGHERA post because I am ecstatic
I want to talk about what happened yesterday (just in case, this isn't about drama or whatever this is talking about what the evolution of the character might be, no discourse, no drama, this isn't the subject of this post) because of HOW MANY POSSIBITIES IT OFFERS for Baghera and how TERRIFYING they all are.
Let me tell you I am terrified (ecstatic I love the angst gimme) because Baghera yesterday, discovered what BBH did (only partially, she doesn't know about the torture yet.. OH and when she does...). But that's the thing. She was upset at BBH, but what's worse is what BBH did to her. As of late Baghera has been lost, scared, and while everyone has moved on in their grief (they are all still grieving obviously, but they are at a point where they have grieved quite a bit and are now trying things) she has not even gotten the occasion to at all. She is trying to grieve her missing children AND her childhood she remembered she never had, AND Bad which is very obviously looking terrible, but everyone is moving along, trying to pass on to other things or trying to find solutions. Forever comes and tell her to try and be happy, but how can she ?
Here comes yesterday. Here comes BBH. I always suspected, and it was proven multiple times that Baghera was very much his moral compass. But at the time she came back, it was already to late. It was done. He did the mistake. And the thing is BBH is one of the only ones she decides to trust with some of her secrets, because it's her bebou, it's her partner in crime. It's the father of her children. And Bad decides to do the same, except HE puts her at test. She doesn't know it yet, he asks her to make the promise not to tell anyone and not to intervene. She oblige, obviously. And he shows her.
And she is shocked, she is starting to stress out. She is obviously angry at Bad, and at the same time... She promised, but it's fucked up, but it's her best friend, but it's too similar to her childhood she has to help, but it's Pomme's father she can't betray him. And when she makes it clear to Bad she is not happy he starts behaving in a way he never did with Baghz (when I tell you I got chills) , when he lied to her before it was mostly playful, but there it felt like manipulation, he cut her words short, "Is he oka-" "Yes he is don't worry.", he doesn't let space for her to be mad.
She promises to Ron. "I'll get you out of here. Give me one or two days"
And then when Forever etc. comes around she is still processing all this and she makes a quick decision, a terrible one. She lies to them. She protects Bad. But it's also to protect Ron. She may have an occasion to free him. And in that moment, she hates what she is doing. She doesn't want to lie but Bad has put her in an impossible position. And in trying to solve everything, to not betray anyone, she is forced to betray everyone. And she realises it. She hates it.
And that's where we get for what happens then. Because she is already lost and lonely, and one of the only person she could have used to get out of this downward spiral has betrayed her. He has lied and made her betray everyone else. And she will have to betray him soon. She will feel truly alone. She feels like she betrayed Forever, and in a way she did. She feels terrible, she can't trust him anymore, she has crossed the limits herself, she is too afraid. The French suspect her of things, she suspects them in return. (obviously she will still play with all of them because cc!Baghera is still friends with all of them, what I mean is she will just bottle up all those feelings again.)
That leaves three options.
First is Fit. But even if there is mutual respect in their respective secrets, that respect includes NOT giving away their secrets.
Second is Jaiden. "We have to stick together." But unlike anyone else, this will most likely end up in a downward spiral as well. They will just comfort each other in their compassion for Cucurucho, and in the end their past with the Federation.
Last is her "true and only" family. When she will truly be alone, there will be one option, that will always remain open.
The Federation.
Basically, unless there is an unforeseen turn of events, that can always happen, I want to say she is doomed.
And I can't wait to see what cc!Baghera comes up with.

It's interesting how q!bbh's moral compass is entirely dependant on who he trusts and loves.
Like when he first does the kidnapping, he only regrets doing it because he feels like Dapper wouldn't be proud of him.
And now it's the same with Ron and him asking q!BBH to not kidnap people.
If he loses those people that moral compass is going straight out the window

Hi! I love your writing think it’s phenomenal work. It’s really such a genuine and intimate depiction of Ginny. I also see you have an appreciation of Dean Thomas. I’d love to know why you think Ginny was attracted to him? What do you think their relationship was like and how did it help them for their next partners? I just think that pairing was really interesting and there’s not enough of them being friends.
❗️ Warning... big Dean & Ginny meta incoming ❗️
Firstly - thank you so so much for reading and enjoying my work (phenomenal!!! I’ll dine out on that all week - can't thank you enough).
Secondly - what great questions! This was such a fun thing to think through. Dean’s a quietly lovely character I have so much time for, despite being very underdeveloped in canon (cutting his arc to exclusively favour Neville’s? Side-eye forever). I'm definitely a paid up member of the Dean Thomas Fan Club.
Anyway….. the questions were so good I wrote this too-long meta on Ginny and Dean before going to bed because I apparently… cannot be stopped?
Tumblr media
Why was Ginny attracted to Dean?
I think for this question it’s important to think about the timing of when Ginny and Dean became close and when they got together, and especially what Ginny was looking for during and after her relationship with King of Negging, Michael Corner. There are three weeks between the break-up with Michael and Gin getting together with Dean, so we can assume Ginny and Dean had already become close and maybe a little flirty when she was with Michael (Ginny Weasley likes to give herself a nice four-week breather between boyfriends, usually just in time to watch the early summer weather roll in. I for one respect the work rate and the consistency.)
Ginny is with Michael until late in her fourth year, until they break up after the Quidditch final in early June. Dean has his OWLs until late June (just realised Ginny dumps Michael right before his exams - this is how you get revenge on a Ravenclaw).
The events in the Department of Mysteries take place the day exams finish (cue iconic scene where Harry’s rushing up to the dormitory to grab his Cloak and save his godfather’s life and Seamus and Dean are trying to get him on the sesh, absolutely rate it, excellent from the lads). Ginny’s going out with Dean by the time she gets the train home, probably by the end of June.
Given the short turnaround time between relationships, I think it’s likely Ginny and Dean became close during the rest of the school year, where she was able to learn the following things about him (and implicitly compare him with Michael as Michael revealed himself to be, as the great prophet Ronald foresaw, ‘a bit of an idiot’):
Dean Thomas knows right from wrong (and really, really can’t stand Dolores Umbridge). In their first lesson with Umbridge, Dean is by far the person in the class who stands up to Umbridge the most after the trio (he actually comes out swinging a lot more than Ron does). He immediately subs in for Harry when Umbridge refuses to answer any more of Harry’s questions. He defends Lupin and Crouch-as-Moody when Umbridge criticises them (describing Crouch-as-Moody as a maniac but saying ‘we still learned loads’ is extremely funny - Dean's pedagogical expectations are low). Dean is an extremely enthusiastic DA member, he and Ginny often arrive at meetings or take part in dinnertime conversations about the DA together, and I think they likely became mates because they’re passionate about what the DA is trying to do. We know Gin likes a boy with a moral compass, a backbone, and a good sense of outrage in the face of injustice. (I cut this out of a much lengthier first draft of chapter one of Beasts, which had all the DA at the graduation ceremony, but this was their interaction in response to another character acting up: ‘[Ginny] feels an old rush of affection for Dean, a man who always had a good scowl in him when it mattered.’)
Dean’s a sweetheart, even if he’s a bit hopeless. Dean’s a character who is often trying to make people feel better about things and trying to give a bit of comfort – emphasis on trying, because he’s not always good at knowing exactly what to say. I think this is something Ginny would really value – she’s someone who, for all her fire, tries to comfort and support the people around her. I reckon she’s got a soft spot for a man with a heart in the right place and a chronic inability to find the right words to express it. ('“Don’t worry about it, Harry,” Dean muttered, hoisting his schoolbag onto his shoulder. “He’s just . . .” But apparently he was unable to say exactly what Seamus was, and after a slightly awkward pause followed him out of the room.' OotP, 221 - does this not sound like how Harry would try and comfort someone?) 👀
Dean is kind to the underdog. Dean is often seen hanging around with or partnering up with Neville, and in DH, we’ll also see Dean be very kind towards Luna. I think Ginny rates people who are kind to those who are socially awkward and excluded.
Relatedly... Dean loves Remus Lupin. I wrote about this a bit in this short reflection on Remus (and am writing about this at the moment so don’t want to get too spoilery if you’re reading Beasts…), but I have a feeling being Remus Lupin’s biggest fan would be a sure fire way to get a text back from Ginny Weasley.
Dean’s into sports. Like her soulmate, Ginny’s into fellow jocks (I think it's implied that Michael Corner was also on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team – three for three on Quidditch players, Ginevra, if you were on Love Island I’d say you have a type). I think she’d also be amused and endeared by Dean’s die-hard commitment to West Ham - she is Arthur Weasley’s daughter, after all, and she probably enjoys teasing him about how crap football sounds. (That bit in PS/SS where Dean’s yelling ‘send him off, ref!’ – 10/10 excellent Dean content). Also Dean does not seem threatened by Ginny’s Quidditch abilities, but instead just really wants to be on the team with her too, which is a nice change from Michael Corner, the Jack Berger of Hogwarts Quidditch. (Sorry Michael, I know you end up a gold star goodie by DH, but young Mike is a prick to our girl Gin).
Dean is a laugh. Chuckling at Ernie Macmillan in his Apparition classes, mucking about with mice in Transfiguration, getting the giggles because this Lockhart bloke has set a quiz asking students to name his ideal birthday gift: Dean is both fun and funny. That bit in GoF where Dean describes Warrington in Slytherin as a ‘big bloke who looks like a sloth’ – funny.  The bit later in GoF where Dean rinses Harry for rejecting that curly-haired Hufflepuff girl who wants to go to the ball with him – also funny. Ginny Weasley likes a comedian and she also likes an audience. I think that means a big tick in the Dean Thomas column.
Dean's a creative. This is verging on headcanon territory, but I really do love the idea of Ginny finding her way back to writing in the years after Riddle and the diary. I can see her being drawn to someone who also has this gentle, expressive, artistic side to them.
Dean’s not averse to dealing in contraband Firewhiskey. If you’re a fourteen year old popular girl with a rulebreaking streak, the boy who can source you some Firewhiskey for an end of exams party from a cool kid like Harold Dingle is hot property.
Dean… er, really likes Harry. Not Gin's finest criteria for a boyfriend, but I think In GoF, the man draws Harry flying around the Horntail on his Firebolt and draws Cedric, his rival, with his head on fire. It’s not a hugely good look for Ginny, but I reckon Dean really liking Harry probably, in a strange, back-to-front kind of way, is another vote in his favour (Gin, you're messy, and I love you for it).
What was their relationship like?
I loved thinking about this question! It’s easier to write about why Ginny and Dean broke up than it is to write why they stayed together so long, and what good stuff they took from the relationship. Dean's easily bashed in Hinny fic in all sorts of different ways, and I don't think it really tallies with the really positive impression we get of him in canon. Ginny and Dean spend a lot of time together over the year - eating most of their meals together, training together, spending all of their Hogsmeade time with each other. I know it’s a teenage relationship, but this is still so much time to spend with one person. It also actually takes them quite a while to breakup, even if they’re ‘rocky’ for much longer. There's something to their relationship that must, on some level, have worked quite well. After all, it would have been a lot easier for Ginny to have dumped Dean if he was a crap boyfriend. It’s much harder to dump someone who is a good partner, but not the right partner for you.
I think that's the problem for Ginny: Dean was kind of perfect for her in lots of ways - but for the person she would have been if Riddle hadn't happened to her, and if the war hadn't happened. Their relationship was clearly based on a lot of mutual attraction and chemistry (that kiss Ron and Harry saw was intense, lads - there's a reason Harry was threatened by it, after all). I think Dean was proud as hell of Ginny, especially on the Quidditch pitch (he's so excited to tell her he's going to be on the team with her!). I think he would think she's super cool, and I like fics and headcanons about Dean that show him trying to internalise his feelings about his own dad into doing right by his girlfriend, even if that means overshooting and being overly chivalrous and over-protective with Gin. I think one of the reasons Ginny stayed in the relationship so long is because they genuinely got on, had a laugh with each other, and fancied each other, in a way that she would feel conflicted about when she still feels drawn to Harry.
Really I think it's Dean being so great that is the problem for Ginny. If she's with this really great guy and she's still feeling restless and like something's missing, she knows that means she's still not over Harry, and that means she's in trouble. I think it's why Ginny sabotages the relationship, in very understandable ways, and in the end she finds herself getting the ick over little things, and picks a fight to end it rather than come clean about being in love with someone else. (No judgement: again, messy girl representation is important).
Ultimately, I think Harry is perfect for the Ginny that actually exists, and Dean would be a good match for a hypothetical Ginny where there was no Harry, who doesn't have a family in the resistance, who doesn't have all this trauma from what happened with the diary, and who isn't shaped and forged by a childhood at war. Until DH, Dean doesn't seem to know anything about the Weasleys' involvement in the Order. We have no evidence anyone other than Harry, the Weasleys, Dumbledore and Hermione ever knew Ginny was possessed by Riddle, and I don't know that Ginny would volunteer the information to Dean. (The only reason she brings it up to Harry in OotP and again in HBP isn't because she wants emotional support for it - she only brings it up to try and help him. This is not a subject she talks openly about even with the person who knows most about what went down). This lack of knowledge about crucial parts of Ginny's life would mean huge gaps in understanding between them - not gaps that are Dean's fault, but that Ginny doesn't try to get him to bridge. Dean can't meet Ginny where she's at emotionally at the point in the series where they get together, in many ways because he's much closer to a normal teenager than she has been able to be up to that point. At the end of the day, Ginny's always going to want to be with the strange guy racing to the Department of Mysteries to rescue a loved one and fight Death Eaters on a Friday night than a nice normal guy who is planning on drinking his own weight in Firewhiskey to celebrate him finishing his Wizarding GCSEs.
How did it help them for their next partners?
I think Ginny would always speak highly of Dean, appreciate that he made her feel loved and someone a boyfriend should be proud of, and I think she would feel some guilt about what went down. I think, eventually, Dean would acknowledge that he didn’t fully understand Ginny and what she was going through, and that he couldn't have been able to meet her needs in the same way Harry could. (I do think this would take a while, though - on the way out, Dean would be understandably very bitter, even if bitterness would be quickly surpassed by the much more serious escalation in circumstances in the war for an apparent Muggleborn. Thinking about it, Dean Thomas had a terrible 1996. Man got dumped and then within three months was homeless and on the run from a murderous fascist regime trying to do him in. Like, I know this is very much not funny but… if a man I had shared a bedroom with for six years and called a friend publicly scooped my ex from me from under my nose, dumped her a few weeks later for mysterious reasons, and then I had to look at his face everywhere I looked on wanted posters, I would be a lot more mad at Harry Potter than Dean Thomas ends up being).
Ultimately, though, I think both would look back on the relationship as a sort of sweet teenage thing, with a lot of warmth and humour to it, probably some sweet confidence-boosting intimacy early on, and a bit of a lesson that you can't make someone be the right person for you. I like to think Ginny and Dean end up mates, in the end, and that she's always rooting for him to find someone great.

ron is a moral compass.
u cannot convince me that ron weasley isn’t a mother hen. because while hermione is a child prodigy, she’s breaking laws and committing war crimes half the time when it benefits her. and harry ‘i’m the Chosen One’ potter attracts danger like a flame would a moth.
so while they’re a duo of danger, there’s ron.
who grew up with siblings and spent a lot of his childhood making sure ginny didn’t get hurt playing in the mud.
who’s as nervous as Molly when Charlie works with the Dragons, and panics when Bill gets attacked by the werewolf.
who steals specific concoctions from the twins when they try to prank Percy because it could possibly harm him.
who wraps harry’s wounds when he gets hurt and is too tired to see madam pomphrey. who helps hermione understand why killing Rita in the jar wouldn’t help in the long run.
Ron Weasley, the worrier and moral compass of the Golden Trio. he doesn’t believe how many times he saved the wizardry world by simply being himself. and everyone at hogwarts but him can see it.

Double Standards: Malfoys vs Weasleys Edition
I'm on a roll, baby! TWO double standards today! All from book 4!
Nepotism/Favoritism
Moody’s magical eye spun around to stare at Ron; Ron looked extremely apprehensive, but after a moment Moody smiled – the first time Harry had seen him do so. ‘You’ll be Arthur Weasley’s son, eh?’ Moody said. ‘Your father got me out of a very tight corner a few days ago …”
. . . my husband, Arthur, has just managed to get prime tickets through his connections at the Department of Magical Games and Sports.
Fudge, who wasn’t listening, said, “Lucius has just given a very generous contribution to St Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, Arthur. He’s here as my guest.”
Bonus from Book 5
Harry distinctly heard the gentle clinking of what sounded like a full pocket of gold. ‘Really, just because you are Dumbledore’s favourite boy, you must not expect the same indulgence from the rest of us … shall we go up to your office, then, Minister?’
What I find most notable here is the difference in nature between the scenarios. The Malfoys' nepotism is more quid pro quo. Charity donations and political bribery. Whereas Authur Weasley seems to have used his position to help people like the Bagmans skirt the law. A government official helps another official's relative with a sketchy situation and in return, he gets expensive, premier seats?! Sounds a bit corrupt to me.
But hardly anyone in HP fandom has an issue with nepotism when the Weasleys do it. Nope, it's only bad when the rich Malfoys do it, duh!
Discrimination
Mum’s writing to the Muggles to ask you to stay. We’re coming for you whether the Muggles like it or not, you can’t miss the World Cup, only Mum and Dad reckon it’s better if we pretend to ask their permission first. Ron, it’s all OK, the Muggles say I can come.
Mr Malfoy’s eyes had returned to Hermione, who went slightly pink, but stared determinedly back at him. Harry knew exactly what was making Mr Malfoy’s lip curl. The Malfoys prided themselves on being pure-bloods; in other words, they considered anyone of Muggle descent, like Hermione, second-class.
Bonus: Weasley hypocrisy
“That’s sick,” Ron muttered, watching the smallest Muggle child, who had begun to spin like a top, sixty feet above the ground, his head flopping limply from side to side. “That is really sick…”
What I found very fascinating is how the discrimination is presented. The Weasleys' disgusting prejudice towards muggles is very casual. It's treated as normal and acceptable: for heaven's sake, Harry (our wonderful hero) even participates in dehumanizing his relatives. I bet most HP readers don't even bat an eye - JKR has trained the reader to accept muggle dehumanization. Yet, what I find strange is that Harry has to literally spell out the Malfoy's distaste for Hermione. Why is JKR wasting her time with this? By book 4, we already know how the Malfoys feel about Hermione. I think it's another indicator of JKR's crappy writing.
Anyway, after we see the appalling way the Weasleys treat the Durselys and the Grangers, JKR expects her readers to swallow Ron acting as a moral compass when he sees the muggle family being tortured? Please.
People need to remember that we are the muggles. Would you prefer the Malfoys who hate all things muggle and mainly want their world to be separate from muggles and keep to themselves (which Draco said way back in book 1 when he met Harry)?? Or would you prefer the Weasleys who have little respect for muggles and have little qualms about invading your home and bodily autonomy?
As a black woman, I prefer a KKK racist who lives far away from me and who I will probably never see in my lifetime. Compared to a white liberal who causally asks me degrading questions every day like why my English is so good when I am from Jamaica. Or anyone else for that matter who makes me feel insecure about my culture and abilities. All under the guise of being a so-called ally.
Truly, between the Malfoys and Weasleys, who has caused muggles more harm on screen or on paper?? I don't know how many people Lucius hurt as a DE besides the poor Roberts family but given JKR treats muggles as NPCs in her books, I guess those rando people Lucius may have killed don't matter :(. And why were muggles there anyway?! At a wizarding event?! That poor Mr. Roberts being treated worse than a dog by people who are supposed to be pro-muggle leaning.
At that moment, a wizard in plus-fours appeared out of thin air next to Mr Roberts’s front door. “Obliviate!” he said sharply, pointing his wand at Mr Roberts. “Been having a lot of trouble with him. Needs a Memory Charm ten times a day to keep him happy.”
Sigh. Muggles deserved better. Forget Draco calling Hermione a mudblood. Like that slur means anything to Hermione anyway. Or has any meaningful impact. Muggles are the true victims in these books.

Hey love.
So i was just tagging a post about morally grey characters and letting them do whatever they want, and it got me thinking that Siri is for sure in that catagory. I mean yeah hes a 🦁 but he was raised by 🐍's. And yes he's charming, loving, caring; a real Patrick Swayze character but i think, because of the way he grew up, he'd be more than willing to go to extremes to protect the family he built.
For example, if someone was becoming a problem (like Snape) he'd always be suggesting ways to 💀 them (i think? in his own way, that was what 'the prank' was). Or if someone was inapropriate to one of the girls, that person would simply disapear. Siri is in 🦁 for his courage and bravery but they're all traits he's developed from the way he was raised, not because he's inherently the hero. Siri is couragous because he's already faced what most wizards are scared of; he's brave because weakness was exploited.
Anyway, i spiraled on this for a little. I love the way you write Siri in GC and wanted to know your thoughts on it 🩷🩷
Oh, I 100% agree with this one. Being a Gryffindor does not exclude you at all from being morally grey. In fact, I think the traits of a Gryffindor are easily juxtaposed with a well-written morally grey character.
While I don't think he'd go into the extremes of 💀 someone for insulting a friend, I do believe he would retaliate in some way, be it a prank or a straight punch in the face.
And being morally grey will never exclude you from becoming a hero. Of course, their story won't be as clean-cut as Captain America's or Superman's who have very strong moral compasses, but it is the depth these stories have that makes the characters even more charming.
Think of names like Loki, Bucky Barnes, Moon Knight or even Din Djarin (The Mandalorian): these characters all started with questionable attitudes, and they were all extremely morally grey if not downright villainous, and even then, with their background and with the world giving them everything to become a villain they didn't (some of them did for a while). They fought against that, and eventually, in their own way, ended up doing good. Not because they were inherently good like Cap or Suppy, but rather because they chose to be like that. And, frankly, I believe that makes them even more compelling.
Sirius is no exception, he was about ready to unalive Peter back in the shack and it was because of Harry (whose moral compass I believe developed from how he was mistreated by the Dursleys and hanging out with Ron and Hermione) who stopped both him and Remus and convinced them they had to take Peter to justice that he didn't yield to those dark desires. A choice that, even though was morally correct, ended up costing Cedric's life, and the comeback of Voldemort.
I mean, there is a reason why he punched Evan with no restriction (GC canon) and did The Prank on Severus (HP canon). Sirius is impulsive and reckless, which goes fairly well with other Gryffindor traits. Even Harry is a bit reckless at times.
I also don't think Sirius is the only one. Remus, while having a stronger moral Compass, also kind of fits into this category, at least when he starts doubting himself and his belonging in the Wizarding World. I mean: Why fight for a world that does not accept you?
And yet he did, he fought for them over and over again, because he believed in change, he had it all to become a villain like Greyback and chose not to do it, and that speaks a whole lot for his moral character, perhaps making him braver than characters who had a clear-cut moral compass since the beginning.
Can you tell I like these dark-leaning characters by now? I feel like it's pretty obvious at this point.
I LOVE writing Siri, I think he's an incredible character and getting to explore his thought processes and emotions in GC has been a delight. It truly fills me with joy that you're enjoying reading him as much as I'm enjoying writing him ૮꒰ ˶• ༝ •˶꒱ა ♡

dying to see a snipper of down to get the friction on
YOUR WISH IS MY COMMAND!!!
(For context, this is a stripper!Tom, stalker!Harry, bottom!Tom, same-age AU crackfic oneshot set in the wizarding world)
I’m almost done with this so let me indulge you 🥳❤️
Snippet 1:
Harry knew there was something off about Tom Riddle.
Which wasn’t surprising, considering Harry had always felt that there was something eerily wrong about Riddle since their time in Hogwarts. Harry was convinced he was a dark lord in the making ever since he had caught wind that his ‘study group’, Knights of Walpurpis, taught dark magic.
(The fact that Harry had also created a ‘study group’ that secretly taught magic in their fifth year after Professor Umbridge’s instatement was irrelevant. He had taught them safe magic.)
Unfortunately for Harry, he had no concrete evidence to prove any of his allegations about Riddle being a potential dark lord. Every time he had brought this subject up with Hermione or Ron, they’d exchange a look he wasn’t privy too, then offer him a sheepish smile and a, ‘if you say so mate.’
Unfortunately for him, again, is that Harry’s strange obsession with Riddle’s private life had not dissipated, even though it’d been over two years since they graduated from Hogwarts. Harry was training in the Auror academy now, and Riddle had gone off to… Borgin and Burkes.
And that was precisely why Harry hadn’t been able to shake off his suspicions that Riddle was a dark lord in the making. Why would Tom Riddle, a prodigy, spend time working in a shady antiques store? He had been offered numerous graduate positions and internships within the Ministry, as well as apprenticeships from Hogwarts professors.
There had to be something wrong with the Slytherin Heir.
Snippet 2:
Harry had a solid lead this time. He whipped out his charmed galleon and was about to send an update to Hermione and Ron about his research until he hesitated. What if Riddle really was here to watch strippers?
He didn’t have much time to debate with himself anymore, as the man of the evening had sauntered in wearing—
Harry almost gasped.
[…]
Realisation dawned upon Harry, like a lightbulb switching on in the dim room of his mind.
Riddle wasn’t here to make deals with dark lords.
That swotty, prudish, know-it-all headboy with a severe aversion to Quidditch, was here as a stripper.
Snippet 3:
It was easily the worst song he’d ever heard in his entire life.
Who even started a song with such a crude sentence? The song was so scandalous that Harry’s immune system already started to fight against the draught.
But all monologues were silenced when Riddle started to move his hips according to the beat of the song.
Suddenly, the song wasn’t even that racy anymore, not when every one of Riddle’s movements, each step and sway were executed with such fluidity.
Harry watched him perform filthy, provocative moves with a dropped jaw. Anytime that Riddle moved at a certain angle, the robes would part, revealing the lacy black stockings beneath.
Gone was Harry’s moral compass at the sight before him. He was no better than another lustful, sleazy man thirsting over exposed skin.

Grelliam hcs bcs I bully Will too much LMAO:
Grell "fell first" Sutcliff and William "FELL HARDER" T. Spears
I may be an OVA liker BUT to me, young Grell was so stubborn that her crush didn't exist, she bullied William for the first few years after their exams
Will didn't give a shit frankly but sometimes he'd reply with a deadpan joke and that made Grell go >:(
Older reapers and reapers their age will tell you that Grell is the scary one and Will's the nice one
Junior reapers (ESPECIALLY RON bcs although he loves both of them, he is very Grell-biased in the same way Anya is Loid's girl) will tell you the exact opposite
Young William was essentially young Grell's morality compass
Grell: I could skin him alive if I so please
William: that's horrible, please do not
It took a very long time for William to actually defrost the ice queen. She has ego issues, please be gentle 💔
And it took even longer for them to mutually admit that they like each other
WILLIAM GAVE HER THE ICONIC RED BOOTS WHEN SHE CAME OUT TO HIM, SEND MY MESSAGE TO THE MASSES HE ISN'T BIGOTED STOPPPPPPPPPP
He also gave her the red coat she wore in the German arc bcs ooooooh someone's jealous
Grell is the first girl he ever had a crush on
He is such a mess because he has ZERO (0) RELATIONSHIP EXPERIENCE
Grell's a little nervous in pursuing him because he's the first man she likes after a train of horrible men
Grelliam are The Power Couple of Dispatch. William is a natural at managing everything and everyone with utter ease, and everyone KNOWS Grell would kill God with her eyes closed if a case demanded it. I call them: The Prince and The Crimson Knight
Sometimes Grell is the big spoon because that's what she's used to and William is internally just going "holy FUCK"
Present day / post-'divorce' William literary has no idea how strong Grell is because (canonically) she loses in every fight against him because she likes him so much
William just thinks she's losing her touch but really it's just.....
Grell: I bestow you the highest honor I can give *loses in every fight against you so your ego gets boosted*
If he were to find out just how strong she is, he'd get turned on actually
William likes his women strong and capable
In a way, they're like each other's bi (re)awakening because William genuinely thought he couldn't be into girls (his type is women who could kill him) and Grell thought she was over men (her SUPERIOR type is men who she could kill)
William HATES pda (he's autistic like me so true) and genuinely feels bad that he can't give Grell what she wants but honestly, Grell's just happy READ MY FIC
So after reading all that, you're going to call me insane for this but they never dated (in my opinion).... stay with me here
They were basically "will they, won't they" to everyone else in Dispatch but to each other, I guess they were in a weird situationship?? Neither of them were in a hurry to make it official but they do enjoy each other's presence
Then came Grell going off with Madame and things got REALLY MESSY
Basically, Will found out and got PISSED because it was supposed to be the two of them against the world, as the paragons, but Grell had to throw that away for some girl
He didn't rat her out immediately because he still loves her and doesn't want her to get in trouble before something serious could be used as evidence
Also he basically helped lessened her sentence because he's soft for her, even if he wants to deny that
William is one of the few people who has seen her cry, other than Othello of course
He knows she has always put on a tough persona for everyone else because she doesn't like anyone knowing they got under her skin. It annoys him a bit because he's thinking "why can't you be honest with yourself? To me?"
And Grell absolutely hates how he knows a little too much about her. She doesn't show it or tell him, but it is something she internalizes a lot
William knows how much Grell likes and adores playing with children. He even called her out once when she told him she doesn't "do kids"
If they met each other in their human life, I believe they either would've gotten married secretly eventually or hate each other and thought nothing more of it
Grell's thumb is literally more artistic than Will could ever be so he looks up to her (secretly) in that regard
I think a younger Grell had told William some bits of her life, especially her ex wife (that I mentioned once or twice before) and the first man she ever liked. I imagine William not being insecure about it because he's like "he's your first love, I intend to be your last"
Young William was, however, EASILY JEALOUS by her random hookups as a freshly dead person. He's sitting there, seething, thinking shit like "SHE DESERVES BETTER THAN YOU, PONYTAIL"
