obsessed w jeanee Actually. she drove hours in the middle of the night for him. she organised a heist for him. she blackmails a university for him. she was willing to break into the nest w brute force for him. she was willing to rob a hardware store to do it. she seriously contemplates climbing over barbed wire fences to get to him. she handles diversions and distractions with grace for him. she has the invasive curiosity to want to know all abt his little knick knacks. she resorts to violence when someone tries to stop her from getting to him. she prays for him. she talks to him softly when the only feeling in the room is rage. she pushes his hair out of his face. she checks his pulse obsessively. YEAH………… are we all seeing this rn

its so wonderful to me too because like this is RENEE. renee, who is a bad person trying very hard to be good. there was a post going around maybe a month ago how empathy for everyone circles back around into empathy for no one i can't remember any of the specifics but it rlly did something for how i see renee because shes a protector. its defensive. its safe. she knows the limits, she knows the point of no return because shes been to rock bottom and clawed her way up but she's willing to do whatever she needs to to get jean out of the nest.

there is a big difference between cradling allison when andrew hurts her vs actively threatening eau, going on the offense to make sure jean leaves safe with her. there's something insane to me abt how a few months of texting and calling jean could push her to that point, the point where she needed to be talked down off the ledge before the plan was more natalie than renee because this was something she absolutely could not fuck up. she knew that her efforts would be worthless if she didn't create a plan that couldn't backfire, because the punishment for jean trying to leave and failing (and i'm sure that message to renee would be used against him) or leaving and coming back would be 1000x worse than whatever they could do to him from a distance.

and then when she has him in his arms and she knows he's going to be safe, he'll be okay as long as she can get him to abby, she can let herself be kind again.

I relate to Guillermo because I too am gay, goth, and insanely loyal with terrible taste in partners

Weird question but, do you think Homelander could be bisexual? I know he is in the comics, but tbh his mommy issues/boob obsession makes it seem to me like he is Straight with a capital S in the show.

However, he is emotionally damaged enough for me to believe that 1) he may get it on with an older dude just to fill the void not having a father left in him, and 2) that Vogelbaum and the rest of the doctors were probably homophobic as fuck and forced him into a Super Straight mold, so it's all repressed.

I mean, these people were so unbelievably cruel, I'm convinced if Homelander had shown any signs of being gay they would have made him go through electroshock therapy, which was all the rage when he was a kid.

not a weird question at all. sure he could! it's really entirely up to whoever is writing him. Homelander is our little dolly, and people should play with him however makes them happiest. i think your headcanons here are totally reasonable possibilities!

i just have a lot of feelings on this topic and the whole "canon or not canon" argument is weird to me; the themes are pretty darn clear in supernatural (it is NOT known for its subtlety) so idk man. they don't have to kiss to be canon. and they don't have to have a romantic relationship to be canon either. how many times do they get into relationships with other people only for it to be treated as cheating/betrayal/abandonment, only for them have to give up that relationship in order to reaffirm their devotion to their brother

that's just what the text says. i'm not under any kind of delusion that they have some secret sexual or romantic relationship, but that doesn't change that sam and dean are each other's most important person regardless of that. which is really awesome imo, that romance isn't treated as more important than whatever horrible thing they have with each other, and that they don't have to consummate their relationship with romance/sex in order for it to be the most important one they have

(and of course there's romantic/sexual subtext, like parallels and metaphors and misunderstandings and jokes, but to me that just provides a solid foundation for presenting this relationship between them as the most important even though it's not romantic or sexual—because this language of romance is the only one we know, really, when it comes to writing important relationships between characters. it's the only one we know in our own personal lives, to a large extent. so you use the romance/sexuality to symbolize the actual bond they have. which is so much worse lmao)

anyway i think spn is fairly unique in this way because of how no other relationships can really ever stand parallel to the one they share; even in other shows that center male friendship, romance is allowed to coexist with brotherhood. for sam and dean, it's not, and that becomes a point of tension and conflict and resolution many, many times over the course of the show. so like yeah!!! just because it's not romantic or sexual doesn't mean it's not canon, in the sense that their relationship is the point of the show, and it is the most important relationship they have. they chose each other above all else, every single time. yknow, it's "the epic love story of sam and dean" and all that

Realistically I think he’s going to be a boring old normal human 💔 esp if he’s playable. I said last time that frankly we’ll be lucky if he’s not a twink :( but iirc he’s canonically been stated to be “the strongest human in teyvat” which v much sounds like he won’t even be a fun dragon dude as it’s implied we’ll be getting from Natlan :(

So setting that aside, my personal take on him. While I do adore the whole…… the helmet is his real face/there’s just nothing under it concept bc. Incredibly sexy dear lord, I unfortunately don’t subscribe to the full-on eldritch monster idea solely bc that “strongest human in teyvat” title fucks hard and I think him being entirely non-human monster kinda takes away from it, so my take on him is v much corrupted human over anything else

Like, covered in both normal healed scars and these gaping shadowy wounds…….. hair that almost seems to writhe and twist and fade away like smoke if he gets too excited……… clawed hands that fade to black at the ends…………. Probably like black sclera w glowing irises……….. v much a fan of his mouth appearing almost normal but then he can open it so so wide and he’s got far too many fanged teeth and a big ol tongue 🫣 things that can v much be covered up and/or hidden away temporarily but are impossible not to notice eventually esp if you’re spending a lot of time w him. Vibes of like. Just what has this man done to himself in pursuit of strength? How far until he’s more monster than man? And the beauty of that take is I can maintain it if we never get a face reveal yk
