Thoughts on Ta-Nehisi Coates' work as a comic book writer? I personally have consistently enjoyed his Black Panther and Captain America books (last arc of CA wasn't great though tbh...), but I can see how he wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. It does suck that I seem to be the only one who cares, or even NOTICED, that Marvel effectively left his BP run for dead with only three issues left.
Liked the first year of Black Panther pretty well and respected its ambition in a big way but dropped it after that; I don’t doubt it reads a lot better in trade, so I’m glad I picked up the rest of it in the big Black Panther free-for-all on Comixology. Captain America didn’t do it for me, as much as I wanted it to.
I noticed that too! The kindest thing I can say is that I ASSUME those’ll be resolicited at some point rather than just saving them for the trade, but you’d think getting the last of that out the door would be a post-hiatus priority so Marvel could start putting the omnibi together.

in all honesty i dont really like it! it begins with burnside which is one of my least favourite arcs ever like i absolutely hate burnside and burnside!babs so much also: her suit redesign there was so ugly??? she looked like a teenager even tho she should be in her 20s?!?!?! and when she returned to gotham it wasnt much better imo like her suit was better but its clear that they didnt know what to do with her. like they know her best stories are as oracle so they tried to do an oracle arc but it was such a mess n im pre sure they had to resolicit the rest of the issues bc thee arc was so bad
