You had never seen more beautiful eyes than his.
It always had been troubling you how underappreciated brown eyes were. Everyone was always gushing about blue or green eyes. Eyes as blue as the ocean this, eyes as green as the forest that. Breathtaking blue eyes here, mesmerizing green eyes there. Blah blah blah….
Not once had you heard someone give the same enthusiasm to brown eyes. How remarkable, enchanting, gentle, lovable, striking, warm and pretty they were.
And you were once again reminded of their beauty when your gaze met his. When you looked into the big doe eyes of the one and only Eddie Munson.
You could stare into them 24/7 for the rest of your life and you wouldn’t ever get bored. There was something about them, about him, that pulled you in. Captivated you.
Right the second the both of you made eye contact in the cafeteria on your first day in Hawkins High, you were whipped. Totally whipped.
But it hadn’t been until a few weeks after that you talked to each other. You had ended up in detention - for the stupidest reason - and when he strolled into the room he sat down next to you.
As it turned out he had been feeling the same and shortly after you started dating, going strong for 1,5 years now. 1,5 wonderful years before shit hit the fan…
You were with him the night Chrissy died and went into hiding with him. When Dustin and his friends found you and filled you in on all the crazy shit that had happened the last years in Hawkins, you couldn’t believe it at first. Not that you didn’t believe them, especially after seeing the way Chrissy died, but accepting the existence of the upside down was another thing.
That was, until all of you went through the water gate to save Steve and saw it with your own eyes.
After the decision was made to go back into the upside down to kill Vecna/Henry/One you naturally stayed with Eddie, and therefore Dustin, as the decoys.
When the bats entered the trailer Eddie had sent you up the rope right after Dustin. You watched as threw his geat to follow and as soon as he stopped climbing you knew what he was about to do; maybe even before he knew it himself.
“No!”, you yelled, tears running down your face. “No, Eddie! Don’t!”
Dusting joined your pleas when it became clearer that Eddie wanted to stay on the other side. Both of you begged for him to climb over, get back to the real Hawkins. Begged him not to leave you. But it was no use. He had made up his mind.
He jumped down, swung his spear to cut the rope and with a last look at you, his eyes full of determination, hurt and fear, he whispered “I love you” before he bolted out of the trailer.
You went back through the gate as fast as you could, hurting your shoulder pretty badly in the process when your body hit the floor. You ran after him - you were sure you never ran so fast in your life before - but still, you didn’t make it in time to save him.
And even now as Eddie was looking up at you, his head resting in your lap and his face covered in blood… Even now as the light was leaving his eyes and his gaze went blank…
… you had never seen more beautiful eyes than his.

When I started screenshotting tiny faces, I had no idea it would one day become my biggest contribution to society. Not complaining, though!

listen, I see your fanon conviction that Hob dislikes Shakespeare on principle after what happened in 1589, and I raise you: Hob learning about the anti-Stratfordians in the mid-19th century and immediately and wholeheartedly coming down on the opposite side of whatever that nonsense is:
you can’t tell me Mister Hob “Bob Everyman” Gadling, who’s visited the heights and depths of the early modern human experience, is going to accept the argument that one needs must be an educated nobleman in order to write great works of literature
or that someone of humble and obscure origins doesn’t have the fine sensibilities and creativity to understand and portray the breadth of emotion in Shakespeare’s plays
(Hob himself is intensely average and though he may not be able to write them, he can sure as hell understand them)
imagine, if you will, Hob constantly getting into trouble when arguing with anti-Stratfordians because half of his evidence is based on the fact that he knows it was Will Shakespeare because he fucking met Will Shakespeare
Hob constantly disgusted at the tendency of Certain Kinds of People to make things far far more complicated than they need to be, i.e… English spelling has never been consistent especially where names are concerned, there are no hidden ciphers, nobody faked their death or hid undiscovered manuscripts in any tombs, Ockham’s Razor for Christ’s sake etc. etc.
he teaches a seminar on the Shakespeare authorship question and it’s one of the most well-attended in the university’s history because he’s gained a reputation as an extremely animated lecturer

6 Izzy deaths I could have been happy with
In order of preference...
1. Off screen/at a distance in a I’ll stay back and hold them off because I’ll slow you down way with Izzy’s speech being a letter to Ed still hitting the emotional beats and giving Ed closure. Fav for obvious reasons that it makes resurrection a possibility.
2. If he had fulfilled his job as the unicorn and died protecting the crew preferably Fang, Frenchie or Jim (he owes them!!!)
3. If he had died protecting Stede- the ultimate stamp of approval for their relationship and actual parallel from Ep 1. Would also actually count as death of the mentor.
4. His death as a eye opening moment for Stede about piracy helping him decide to retire.
5. Within the first 3 episodes- sad but I was expecting it. Fits better with the tone.
6. Opening of episode 8- If they really wanted to make him a martyr/symbol of golden age of piracy as a ralling cry to the crew /other pirates. (Absolute last option because this is not that kind of show and it would have felt more absurd than anything)
Bonus: Deaths I would have been ok with
7. In any possible way where his death actually effect the story and choices made by the characters.
8. Died protecting Ed but emphasizes that he didn't do it because of loyalty to his captain but his love for Ed - Not preferred choice considering how much of their relationship is already defined by violence.

it’s either that, or the total opposite
he gets more fed up with every take out he has to order, growing more and more frustrated of being the “stereotypical rich boy” and one day - he’s already typed in the number of the pizza place - he hangs up and walks into the kitchen to see what’s there bc he’ll be damned if he keeps on living like this
throughout all the time he spent alone, he taught all this shit to himself and he is determined to master it all; from scrambled eggs to the most complicated stuff you can cook
he burned a lot of food and fucked up the simplest things like cooking pasta
he put too much salt into so many meals he lost count
once the pan caught fire and when he attempted to put the flames out with the kitchen towel by hitting it, the pan fell (almost hitting his foot) and there is still a small burned spot on the floor where it landed
the first few steaks he made were tough as shit until he got the hang of it
burned his fingers and / or forearms on a regular basis
the amount of food he had to throw away…… oh boy
he watched cooking shows and tried to cook it himself
with every fail he gets better, even has a little book where he writes down what he did and what he thinks he has to change; whenever something works out he writes it down as well
when he comes up with something new he writes the receipt down and keeps them in his own personal cookbook
and as he got better he started cooking for dustin when he comes over; and the kid is over the moon about how GOOD it tastes
dustin tells the others and after bugging him long enough he caves in and steve agrees to cook for them too
and now the whole gang regularly hangs out at his place for movie night and he cooks the most amazing stuff for them
he let’s noone near the kitchen; maybe allows Nancy or Jonathan to help out when they ask if they can help him but everyone else, especially clumsy Robin!, has to keep out
he either cooks what he is in the mood for or he asks everyone beforehand what they would like to eat and boom, here you go, bon appétit!
he loves to try out new recipes and experiment with ingredients
over the time he managed to cut vegetables so evenly, even a chef would be envious
cooking became basically one of his favorite things
