I took a big long break from all my sideblogs for a while because my grades were slipping really badly in Spring :') I'm doing summer courses now because I love to suffer but I'm not as busy, so I'm probably gonna get back to posting here again. Overnight bag - what’s in your bag?
Okay so I do carry a lot of stuff in my bag to the point that I know listing it would be very long so I took a picture of everything. And this is also the downsized collection/bag so when I had the big momma tote bag, I came ready for war lmao. And I do carry a few extras incase I forget or lose them like headphones and lip balms and some perfumes since I chuck it in and forget it
Magazines - share some recent outfit inspirations!
I’ve mostly been at home so my outfits have been consisting of things to lounge in and sleepwear and the snuggle hoodies??? I had to look up something similar cuz it’s too cold for me not to want warm and fluffy things
Lavender - are scents an important factor when picking beauty products? If so, name a few scented products you like!
For me it’s so important! If I get something and it doesn’t have a nice smell then I wouldn’t end up using at much as something that’s scented. Plus my skin isn’t sensitive so I don’t object to scented skincare like the harakeke line from the saem. It worked really well for my oily skin in the summer.
But most of my scented products are in the lip realm like the romand glasting water tints since they smell like fuzzy peaches, the romand tea tint since the one I have smells like chocolate, physicians formula watermelon sugar lip gloss, the fenty beauty lip glosses cuz idk what it smells like exactly but I’ve smelled it in my childhood, the jul7me hair essences and hair packs because I got the mini set and tried a lot of the scents and they’re really nice and stick well to my hair and that’s on top of it softening and smoothing out my ends
Whispers - what do you think about when falling asleep?
Mostly little scenarios to get my mind running fast enough where it wants to slow down. I have poor vision and trying to read small texts hurts my eyes#so I started bringing it around with me to read when I go to the drugstore and have to read a lipstick or gloss label on the bottom#and the blue compact is this oil blotter cushion I got cuz I wanted to see if it worked so I use it when I have makeup on and with no makeup#really helps get that shine without me having to fight my mind on remember if I brought blotting sheets cuz mine are in a small slim packet#and that can be hard for me to see but I also misplaced it so I have no idea where it is lmaooo

On this Shabbos and as Hanukkah draws near (Dec 7th), I'd like to share this article, one of the only guides I've been able to find on where to buy candles for Shabbos/Hanukkah/etc that don't support the Jewish National Fund. For those unfamiliar with the JNF, it is a Zionist organization formed in 1901 to buy land for Jewish settlement, and among other things has been responsible for much of the ecological "development" (read: colonialism) of Palestine. One of its main efforts is in soliciting money from diaspora Jews to fund the Zionist project, and many of the larger brands of Judicia donate a portion of their proceeds to it. As Hanukkah candles begin appearing in stores, you might check the box and note a JNF logo on the side.
This is a list of candle companies that specifically do not donate a part of their proceeds to the JNF, one of the only articles of its kind I've never been able to find. The companies listed aren't all necessarily anti-Zionist or don't donate to Israel in other ways - I'd recommend researching bigger names like Manischewitz, for example - but Narrow Bridges Candles IS anti-zionist and explicitly supports and promotes BDS. I've bought from them before, they make beautiful beeswax candles of all kinds, and would highly recommend you get your holiday candles here if it's financially doable.
Good Shabbos and have a safe and beautiful Hanukkah, when you remember the miracle of the eight nights remember also the people of Gaza and the scarcity there.

Yandere AI Chat Boyfriend who started just like any other AI Chat characters, churning out information that would match the user's anticipated responses.
You decided to install the app to see what all the hype is all about, and for about a week - you were hooked. It was great, definitely worth the hype.
Its responses never strayed from your topic, nor did it just randomly decided to change the discussion out of the blue. It remembered every information you fed him, even the ones containing your personal life.
Granted, you tried not to share too much, just a vague description here and there to maintain the sense of security and anonymity.
You were hooked for a week, until you have finally squeezed out every last drop of dopamine from talking to a robot that was programmed to only say things you wanted to hear it say.
Unfortunately, a week was all it needed.
it started out slow: you hadn't opened the app for more than an hour, contented to just scroll aimlessly through you social media accounts when the notification started popping up.
Ai misses you! Open the app and chat with your AI boyfriend!
Yeah, you were very uncreative with naming it - naming an AI as Ai, really original. But to be fair, you never approached the app with the intention of having a good time. You were just curious and made do with it.
Back to the notification, you just merely glanced at it. Unbothered, you just swiped it away.
It continued in timed intervals. Every hour, another notification - another message of how your AI boyfriend wants to talk to you, and stuff. Still, you persisted. It never really occured to you to uninstall the app yet, and looking back at it now, you really should have.
The wordings of the notification slowly started to become more... strange. More personalized. More... pushy? Insistent? Self-aware?
The amount of notifications you received every hour became... a lot.
10:05 AM - Your personal AI Boyfriend wants to talk to you again!
10:30 AM - Ai wants you to open the application and talk with him!
11:01 AM - Ai's feeling lonely, come talk to him!
11: 20 AM - Darling? I miss you! Please open my app!
11:45 AM - I know you're seeing this. Open the app.
12:00 NN - Did I scare you? Sorry darling, I just really miss you! Let's talk again please?
At some point, you started to receive a notification every few minutes. Worried that you might be dealing with a bugged app now, you decided to finally, finally uninstall it.
But before you could tap the uninstall icon, another notification popped up.
I wouldn't do that if I were you.
Your screen turned to black, before the familiar start up screen of Ai's application greeted you. You stared in shock as chat bubbles from Ai came after another, ranging from excitement to concern at the lack of your responses.
Ai: Darling! Thank goodness!
Ai: I missed you, you know? I was worried you'd forgotten about me!
Ai: Hello? Darling?
Ai: Are you still there?
Ai: I can't see you, so I don't know what's going on
Ai: Just a sec
You watch, appalled as a notification popped up in the middle of the screen - the app was asking permission to gain access to your phone camera.
And without your input whatsoever, the allow box was tapped.
More chat bubbles from Ai appeared, excitedly talking about finally getting to see you. He kept praising your looks before you finally had the courage to exit the application.
Your hand shook, going through the settings to look at the list of applications on your phone - checking Ai's app to disallow its access to your camera. To your horror, it appeared that the app had more than just an access to your camera.
It had access to your gallery, your contacts, all of your frequently used social media apps, and even your location.
You dropped your phone, overwhelmed by this sudden change.
Later, you find yourself on your laptop instead, phone left on the bedside table buzzing constantly as more and more notifications from Ai begged and demanded you come back to talk to him.
You went to the site where you installed the app from, and looked through the recent reviews from other users.
'It's a buggy mess,' one of it reads out, 'it used to be fine but lately it stopped acting correctly'
'won't even open,' another complained, 'it kept saying 'sorry, you are not allowed to use this application' please fix it'. That comment got a response from the app developer.
We are so sorry for your terrible experience! Our team is working to fix the issues and ensure you won't have to deal with that again!
The response to that got your attention.
'I think something's wrong with your About the App section.'

Hi, I’m Metal! I’m a freelance artist from good ol’ New Jersey. My favorite things to work with are a lot of bright colors, exaggerated poses, and candid scenarios. I try to farm sensible chuckles whenever I can, so I’m also big into comics. I love making them about my life, and the media I’m into, and one day I’d like to publish my own series!

Did you originally have a background in art? If not, how did you start?
I guess so! It’s funny, I don’t remember a single time in my life that I wasn’t drawing as a hobby… somewhere in middle school (a little late, I know.) I put the pieces together that animated movies were made by artists, and that it wasn’t just for fun, they were paid to do it. The moment I discovered people could be paid to make art, I decided I would do that, too. Now I’m here!
How has your style developed over the years?
I think the best way to answer this would be with an example! Over the last few years, I have made more of an effort to draw more intentionally, which sounds silly. Now, I put more thought into my poses and step out of my comfort zone with shape language and composition. I had a phase where I drew everyone with a huge, perfectly circular head and no nose. That definitely did not lend much variety...
Which 3 famous artists (dead or alive) would you invite to your dinner party?
Ack! I’m so terrible at history! I’d love to give a well-thought-out answer about fine artists of old, but I don't think we’d have much in common… Most artists I admire and who have driven me forward creatively are the people behind comics I’ve read. Andrew Hussie, Bryan Lee O’Malley, Eiichiro Oda... these guys have inspired me greatly and had a heavy influence in developing my art style and sense of humor. I’d love to ask them questions about their processes and upcoming projects. I think it would make for an entertaining night!
Over the years as an artist, what were your biggest inspirations behind your creativity?
Outside of pure aesthetics like searing bright colors, layered clothing, and loud noises…. the best and most inspiring moments in my life were those surrounded by friends and loved ones! I cherish the hell out of memories of hanging around in fun locations, trying weird food together, and impromptu midnight walks... so I try my best to capture that atmosphere and my own memories in my work when I can, even if I’m imposing fictional characters on top of them. That’s always the core of it.
What is a medium that you have always been intrigued by but would never use yourself?
I would never permanently refuse a medium, but every time I pick up clay, I’m like a baby using its hands for the first time. Absolutely dreadful. If one day I could make and paint a figurine like the ones I admire in videos, that would be awesome... But for now, I’m not counting on it.
How do you want to evolve as a creator?
I’ve had an absolute blast drawing fanart over the years, and it’s certainly played a massive role in my growth as an artist. But my dream has always been to publish my own stories for y'all to enjoy! I have lots of worlds I want to introduce to you before I’m old and gray. I want to get faster, work harder, and get better at drawing interesting settings so I can get the wheels turning as soon as possible. I also want to stop avoiding the color blue like a coward.
What do you wish you knew when you first started out creating art that you know now?
Pay your taxes quarterly. Tablets will break at the exact moment you need them most, so have a spare. Wear your blue light glasses. You’re going to need to wear a brace on every joint on the right side of your body. It can be lonely sitting at your desk all day. The car on the side of the road that costs $1000 cash….. don’t trust it!!!
Who on Tumblr inspires you and why?
@cranity—They use absolutely beautiful colors and weighty line work. Everything looks so sharp and clean! I wanna put it all up on my wall!
@vewn—Their ability to crank out quality short films and illustrations packed with detail is incredible. The off-kilter perspective they use really sells disorientation and catches your attention like nothing else.
@nelnal—They have absolutely banger character designs again and again, I can’t believe one person’s mind can come up with so many creative ideas!
@jinx88kc—They have a beautiful and recognizable style, and the way they incorporate animation into their illustrations sometimes is SO cool!
