#the next highest one was ianto and owen at 175 but um#wow#i knew it was a big disparity but i never realized how big#torchwood#ianto jones#jack harkness#gwen cooper#toshiko sato#owen harper#janto#though in fairness to me back when i was first involved in the fandom there were definitely more gwack fics like#ratio-wise#back when gwen-bashing was big and big finish hadn't gone all out with the janto yet#i do wonder how much big finish influenced it tbh because they're a lot more open with it than they were in the show#trying to load ff dot net because that's where i was back in my og torchwood days but it won't load#so i'll never know what the disparity is like there i guess#because i swear to god there were more gwack fics back then i promise

The current BOP run has me veryyy frustrated because ooohh the dinahbabs and cass&babs mother/daughter dynamic could be eating. we could be fine dining, but no. because of babsgirl.
If you're reading this im assuming you've read the run up until this point. So obvious spoilers:
Listen, I'm a sucker for fighting against time in order to save the one you love, but this falls so flat because all of this could be avoided if she wasn't batgirl.
Like this is TRAGIC but babs would never be in this position if she was oracle.
And the most recent issue literally proves this to be true!

i leave you with this. all of my thoughts on the run can be summarized by this cover believe it or not. bab's loving gaze as she watches the other birds (dinah) work on the mission. shes separated from them implying that she's oracle, but shes standing very able bodied and on the stairs. meaning she can be batgirl when it helps the plot.

Ratio isn't just socratic nor is his method just socratic. There's a lot of sophist too, with how he is paid and the Genius Society looks down on that.

im telling yall ever since i found a recipe for homemade oral rehydration solution and started making it (+ shitty approximations of it), ive never felt so hydrated in my life & it's really helping with my POTS symptoms, in a way that just taking salt tablets and chugging water all day hasn't. it has to be the sugar that makes the difference because i've been dissolving salt tablets in my water for years!! but the sugar not only makes it taste less salty (thus making it more tolerable to drink more of it and more often), it helps with the water absorption to a degree i didn't realize it would. my body is actually absorbing water now when before it felt like it was passing straight through me with little to nothing being absorbed.
and as a fun little side bonus ive stopped getting cravings for sweet things nearly as often. it's gotta be hell on my teeth but i have soooo much more energy and i feel better than i have in years, even with the continued issues of mast cell symptoms and heat intolerance w/ no ac and black mold exposure.
the recipe i found comes from here, but for convenience I'll transcribe it here with metric equivalents:
1 quart of water (a little over 1 liter)
3/4 teaspoon table salt (equivalent to ~4.5 grams, I use 4 - 5 one gram salt tablets)
2 tablespoons sugar (about 25 grams)
and sometimes i like to add somewhere in the realm of 2 - 4 tablespoons of lemon juice to get some potassium in there (i eyeball it sorry)
or you can ignore the ratios completely and do whatever you want lol whatever gets u hydrated. but i want people to know that sugar helps with hydration!!! it's super important in metabolic processes!!
#lemon juice also cuts the sweetness and the saltiness and gives u lemon flavor!#cranberry juice also works flavor wise and u can use less sugar then bc of how much sugar is in cranberry juice already#or you can do the cranberry juice based recipe in the pdf#orange juice too but not as well bc it's less strong and still very sweet#the 1qt water bottle i was using started smelling musty and i couldn't get it clean properly (broken dishwasher) so i stopped for a bit#and the chronic fatigue got worse again#i start making it again in a 3 cup glass jar yesterday#boom fatigue goes away#i mess w the ratios often for the sake of convenience#pots syndrome#pots#disabled#disability#chronic fatigue#chronically ill#dysautonomia#hydration#stay hydrated
