Hi, I’m jumping on the Separated AU train, but I’ve taken all the angst out and decided that Having Children Softens You Actually.

Mikey is found by Lieutenant and Brute (who are a couple, fight me) and is raised by them. It was funnier to have a Dr Delicate Touch moment with his Big Sister Cass but he’s still the artsy fun-loving kid and his dads are so so proud of him and hang up all his art. His puppy dog eyes sway every decision the Foot Clan makes.

Draxum hangs on to Donnie and Wow Being A Dad Is A Lot Of Work. He’ll often say he’s learned more from his son than he’s ever taught him. Donnie’s intense interest in the mechanical perfectly balances and compliments Draxum’s mastery of the mystic. Their expertise fills in where the other’s fall short and together they create the wildest things that benefit all yokai.

Big Mama and Little Raphie. He’s the last piece of her Lou she has left and she fiercely protects him. He has participated in the Battle Nexus, but more for fun than obligation. He’s a favorite match for other competitors since he doesn’t believe in “finishing the job” (and because Big Mama would never ever allow him to be in a to-the-death match). Mama doesn’t have a lot of time for Evil when she’s too busy doting on her turtley-poo.

I said I’d leave the angst out, so we’re not gonna talk about Splinter and Leo. 🙃

i've got more planned for it, i know i at least wanna try and finish designs for the four of them and i've had donnie and leo's designs in progress for a while now (i actually started both of them before mikey's, but mike's was the first one i finalized. favorite boy privileges and all that 🧡), but i needa redesign them cuz they look like shit ;-; have a lil peek of leo's current design tho!

Imagine if the turtles gave into their cannibalistic nature on occasion. Here is a crossover scenario that I think is funny.

The Rise boys were having lunch in the lair as a portal opens and other turtles pop in to invite them over to help them.

That’s when one of them notice what each boy was eating and almost threw up.

Turtles.

They look at them in quiet horror.

“What? Do you know what kind of turtles we are? It’s in our nature to occasionally eat each other. It’s a nice little treat.”, said Raph as he ate his burger.

“I have got to say little bro, this red eared slider kabob is the bomb!”, said Leo.

“Yeah, this soft shell soup is to die for! It’s the perfect balance of delicate flavor and- just, can I have more?”, praised Donnie.

“Awe, thanks guys! I’ve been practicing on that for months!”, said Mikey.

“You nailed it!”, complimented Raph.

They noticed the other turtles were gone and so was the portal. They shrugged and went back to talking about their food. Mikey soaked up the praise with a smile.

Later, Leo had Donnie trace where the portal lead. They scared the turtles they met earlier. Who wouldn’t explain why they were so terrified of these young and silly teen turtles.

“I don’t get why you don’t trust them? They seem nice.”, asked a turtle

“You don’t want to know!”, one puked.

That’s when one of the rise boys stroll in with a bag of questionable content.

“What are you eating?”, asked a turtle as another begs them not to say anything.

“Jerky.”, they said.

“Can I-“, they were interrupted.

“Don’t eat that!”, screamed a turtle.

“Why not? It’s great!”, they pulled more out to eat.

“What is it?”, asked another turtle.

“Turtle.”, they said as they finished the bag.

More silent horror.

“What? You guys act you never thought about eating your brothers before!”

“WE HAVEN’T!”

“Really? You’re missing out.”

An enemy (maybe a shredder) had them sitting at a table of food. Telling them it was turtle soup and stuff. They ate without hesitation and complimented the food.

“You have got to try this guys!”

“Hxll no!”

“Suit your self!”

“Oh raph, know what this reminds me of?”

“The time master Splinter thought I finally ate Leo? Yeah, he cried big time.”

“Still can’t believe you guys think Leo would taste better than me! I’m a soft shell turtle! Literally the type of turtle we’re eating right now.”

“Eh, what can I say? I’m delicious.”

Shredder was not prepared for this. After they finished their meal, they fought shredder.

Finally April and Master Splinter are told of this and

They laughed.

“Why are you laughing?”

“Dude, they’re messing with you!”

Everyone freezes, even the villains in the room.

“What?”, said a very lost voice.

“They eat turtle substitutes! Not actual turtles!”

A few laughed as they collapsed onto the ground to cry.

“Except Raph.”, April smiled as she wiped a tear out of her eyes.

They all slowly looked over at Raph chewing on Donnie, who looked particularly pleased.

“In your face, Leon! Ralph’s going to eat me first!”

“Boo! You’re a sore winner.”

“You’re okay with this?”

“My sons are domesticated turtles in a small home. No matter how big I try to make it, they have the urge and Snapping turtles sometimes make their brothers their main protein. So if they want to eat something other than pizza, who am I to judge? After all, at least they aren’t eating each other”, said Splinter.

They all gesture to Raph literally chewing on Donnie- then moved on to Leo as Donnie huffed and pouted.

“Eh, he know better. Besides it’s either them or me and well…I still have scars from when he was just a tot.”

It’s kind of funny that 2k3 is considered the more ‘grounded’ version of animated TMNT when it had the turtles being beamed into space in the season one finale. (This isn’t remotely a criticism of the show, it’s just funny).

#TMNT #i adore the 2k3 show and it was wacky af #Actually that’s part of the reason I like it #And like that is baked right into its dna right from the beginning but ju set how the characters react I guess is more grounded #Casey is so crazy it almost grows on you #Mikey here is also probably the second most insightful version after Rise #Leonardo loves his corny lines and loves his bros and is so affected by failure it gets scary #Donnie is a cinnamon role who will kill #Raph adopts stray people all the time #Honestly if you ignore some plot holes weirdness in later seasons this splinter is probably the most successful/best rat dad really #Like there are a lot of plot holes later like why the heck did splinter not raise them in Japan with the ancient one #they didn’t have to live in a sewer but like besides that #I also like that April is like into science and can hack stuff #Dr Vanderpepper lmao #2k3 Bishop is probably the creepiest villain TMNT ever made #I love it

Ok I've slept and I want to know, how you think the boys would react to all this. As I said I think they would follow the Oroku sibling. If they did, how would they react to seeing the two enter the shredder's lair, or see Casey hug the shedder and sob into his arms. Would splinter accompany them, or would the boys go back and tell him of their findings. Would April be there to. no one has discussed how April would react to Casey being an Oroku before now that I think about it. So how do you think April would react to it all.

Leo's first thought is... So that's why he didn't like me hanging round Karai.

But seriously, they are all suprised, confused... betrayed.

Casey lied to them.

Casey has been lying to them since they met.

Do they even know him?

Was it all a lie?

Was this all a rouse so that Casey could get closer to them, deliver their secrets to the Shredder?

... Who's apparently his father?!

Maybe they would've stormed in, or off and Casey would be listed as their enemy.

If Casey were any less to them.

But he isn't, they love him like a brother.

And they know that their friendship with him isn't fake.

Isn't any sort of rouse.

Because Casey was afraid, he was scared, shaking when he entered the lair.

In a way they have never seen before.

He came to them.

He has gone on mission after mission with them, destroying footbots and such.

Saving them.

Fighting alongside them.

That was real.

But the way Casey sobs in Shredders arms.

And Shredder... This man they've only ever seen as a monster.

Shredder is cradling Casey like a newborn.

There is nothing but love in his eyes that the group have all had directed towards them by Splinter.

April recalls how many times she's been to Casey's games and seen a tall hooded figure cheer for him.

That every game Casey runs over, jumps into arms that spin him around and laugh, and praise him.

That has Casey always fondly whining "Daaaaddd"

This is real.

There's hurt, confusion and none of them really know how to feel.

But Casey has never let them down, and something deep down tells them he isn't now.

There's also the fact he's upset.

Upset him to the point he exposed himself like a dog rolling on his back leaving him vulnerable.

It sends a chill down each of their spines.

Splinter is the first to speak "it seems, something has melted the Shredders cold heart."

Oroku Saki had been many many things, many not so good.

But the man had always loved with all he had.

It is why their feud had cut them both so deep.

They end up leaving, as much as thru all wanna storm in and get answers and comfort Casey.

They know he will come when he's ready.

And they will their be their for him.

No matter his parentage, Casey had proved he was their friend.

And it was time they showed they would be his.

Leo is on high alert for betrayal and watching out for his brothers. He hides his emotions for he needs to be strong if Casey turns out to be evil.

Raph is hurt and mad because why didn't he trust me to tell me... but he's also like Casey's Casey, that's all that matters. And he won't be argued with.

Donnie is upset but is trying to hold out on hope.

Mikey is with Raph, he knows Casey he knows him. Casey's family that's all that matters.

April gets it, maybe not entirely but she gets keeping a part of yourself a secret. She knows she wouldn't have reacted well if told.

She accepts Casey for all he is, she just wants him to come home.

She and Raph are in the same wavelength.

And are very interested in finding out who hurt him.

Splinter is much like Leo, he is fond of Casey but he will do whatever it takes to protect his family.

#tmnt #rottmnt #even more cool peeps i follow have made and/or started their own separated aus #like darth-sonny at least talked about what they remembered of who went with who in their own version #(darth-sonny who i really like and i love their stuff)#and then there is miniyunart #whose stuff is also quite good #who started their own #i esp. like donnie staying with splinter (which i don't see often. though darth-sonny also had that so that is cool)#and leo staying with draxum in the forest and i think he was thought to be dead? if i am remembering correctly #and then ended up fighting in the battle nexus to get warriors in order to fight draxum #which is really cool and interesting #esp. since leo is fighting against someone he lived with and cared about and stuff #and donnie being a scavenger #and splinter being super determined to get the rest back is just all very cool #i also liked where raph and mikey are and/or being raised by too; it is different and/or cute #saying all this. i guess leo does get big mama stuff with him fighting in the battle nexus #but like #i still want a raised by and/or go to big mama almost right away leo okay #i think maybe i have seen one or two like that #but i am not remembering them right now very well #and it is still pretty rare for to find #One day I will find the elusive Leo and Big Mama Separated AU!)#as well as Foot!Mikey separated au that is also pretty elusive too (though darth-sonny had Mikey go to the Foot #so that is cool.#Raph went with Big Mama himself which is nice too and Leo going to Draxum is also fun and interesting to me due to their dynamic in-canon #Anyways I will find that kind and/or kind of separated au someday!
