ITH Star Wars AU Ver. 2

Hey! Did you all love Nadia in the recent Future Apocalypse AU?

Well, @fight-me-fool718 and I loved her and Sonny’s dynamic so much that we imagined Nadia as a force user with Sonny as her apprentice and it rapidly mutated into a new Star Wars AU. 

If you remember, a long time ago I was requested a Star Wars AU and it basically became the same story as the original trilogy, starring Lincoln as Luke, Nina as Leia, and Kevin as Darth Vader. This AU is going to have the kinda same cast, only, Sonny and Usnavi are gonna be more involved (as much as I LOVE the idea of them as 3PO and R2, this is kinda better) and since Last Jedi really freshened up the series, we’ll sprinkle in a few tidbits from that as well.

So let’s start at the beginning of the original trilogy. Sonny lives with Usnavi and his family, living a pretty average life. Sonny of course wants more than this boring life, and also wants to know what happened to his parents. Usnavi’s parents have told him that he was brought to them as a baby by a stranger, who told them who he was, so they have no idea what happened to them or where they are. Usnavi, of course, is perfectly content living where they are and doesn’t want Sonny going off and doing something dangerous. However, Sonny realizes that strange things have been happening to him when his emotions flare up, like he can push things extra hard and he can sense things that others can’t. One day, his powers flare up a LOT and it scares the shit out of Sonny, causing him to run away. He doesn’t get too far and eventually comes across Abuela Claudia, who’s an old hermit. She takes him in, and is able to calm him down and explain to him that he has the force and it’s more powerful than anything she’s felt before, as she knew the Jedi back in the day (she wasn’t really one, but she’s very knowledgeable about the Force). So since she doesn’t have the Force, Abuela tells Sonny that he has to seek out a proper teacher and she gives him a map to a girl called Nadia, who’s one of the last survivors of the Jedi. But then, Sonny feels a disturbance and is drawn back home, only to find it in ruins. He finds Usnavi, really hurt, but alive, but Usnavi’s parents are both dead. Abuela tells him that Sonny’s random Force fluxes probably caught Kevin’s attention and he sent troops to eliminate the source. So with nothing else to do and for their own safety, Usnavi and Sonny set out to a tavern and find pilot partners Benny and Vanessa, who agree to take them to wherever Sonny’s map leads them. After flying for a while, they come across a ship that’s in distress so they decide to take it in, and surprise, it’s Lincoln! He tells them that he’s looking for the Empire’s main ship as his twin sister is a prisoner aboard. She sent him a secret distress signal and he’s been trying to get to her since she’s with the resistance and their mom, Camila is the leader. Lincoln convinces them to help by pulling the ‘she’s a princess you’ll get a reward if you do this’ card, but Sonny needs to get to Nadia. So they fix up Lincoln’s ship and Benny and Lincoln agree to go get Nina, while Vanessa takes Usnavi and Sonny to Nadia. 

So we follow Sonny’s group for a while and they’re brought to an island (we’re getting into Last Jedi territory with this part, and Sonny meets Nadia who’s...not exactly enthusiastic about this whole thing. ‘I traveled across the galaxy to find you!’ ‘So?’ ‘I have the Force and I need you to teach me.’ ‘...I don’t care.’ Luckily, after some persuasion, Nadia agrees to teach him at least the basics of the Force. And yes, Nadia totally pulls that ‘reach out’ prank with Sonny. However, she’s a bit afraid because the amount of strength inside Sonny is lowkey terrifying to her. She also decides to have a quick sparring match with Sonny, and Usnavi just happens to be going up to check on Sonny (he’s gone up there before to check on him and watch them train without disturbing them) And he goes down and see Sonny wielding his blue lightsaber against Nadia...who has a RED lightsaber. Usnavi of course FREAKS OUT. ‘YOU’RE A SITH!!’ ‘Wow. Rude.’ ‘Sonny, get away from her!’ ‘Navi, She’s not a Sith!’ Nadia explains that when she left the Jedi she turned to the dark side of the force but isn’t a Sith. Even with the Jedi her force abilities were kinda on the edge of the dark side and after ‘an incident’ she was finally pushed. It’s also the reason why she’s isolated herself, cause everything that happened really affected her. So Sonny continues his training and he tries to ask her to come to the resistance cause they could really use an experienced Force user, but Nadia’s not very keen on going back (again, like Luke in Last Jedi) So after a while Sonny, Usnavi, and Vanessa eventually meet up with Benny, Lincoln, and Nina, and they’re about to escape, when Kevin appears. They seem screwed when Lincoln whips out a lightsaber. Yep, Lincoln’s a Jedi. Lincoln manages to hold Kevin off at least until they escape. They bring Nina home to the resistance and Lincoln explains that he’s basically a self taught Jedi, since he has no Master. Luckily, his mom Camila knows a bit about the Force and Lincoln also sought advice from Abuela a while back so he’s at least able to defend himself. 

After that, the story’s a bit of a hole, so let’s cut to Empire Strikes Back. Long story short, Sonny’s still training with Nadia and Lincoln’s either on the same island doing his old thing or doing stuff for the resistance. Meanwhile, Benny, Nina, Usnavi, and Vanessa are also doing resistance things but the Empire finds them and chases them around until they find refuge with an old friend of Benny’s and we go through the whole Lando thing again and Sonny and Lincoln both sense that their families are in trouble. Nadia tries to stop Sonny, telling him that it’s obviously a trap and he’s not ready, but of course Sonny doesn’t listen and goes off to the place and he meets Lincoln there, and they both run into Kevin Vader. They fight for a while, but Kevin gets the upper hand and Sonny gets REAL beat up and his hand gets cut off. So Sonny’s knocked out and Lincoln’s really hurt and is trying to get them both of them to safety and Kevin drops the ‘I am your father’ bomb on Lincoln. Despite this now emotional pummeling, Lincoln is able to get himself and Sonny to safety and he uses the Force to tell Nina where they are and they’re picked up on the ship. So they head to Nadia’s place to recover and insert Usnavi AND Nadia worrying over Sonny who’s hurt and now has no left hand. Lincoln also asks Nadia what she knows about Kevin and about him being his and Nina’s father, and it’s revealed that years ago, Nadia was Kevin’s padawan. But Kevin turned to the dark side, mostly due to the fact that Nadia pulled the same thing on Kevin that Luke did on Kylo Ren back when he had his jedi temple. Nadia felt something terrifying in Kevin (the same thing she sensed in Sonny) and on instinct, tried to kill him for a split second in his sleep and Kevin woke up to see his trusted Padawan holding her lightsaber over him. After Kevin turned, Nadia turned to the darkside herself and left the Jedi Order. Nadia also tells him about a Jedi couple named Jane and Carlos and how she watched Kevin murder them shortly after he slaughtered the other Jedi. Unfortunately, Sonny happened to be awake and listening and he recognizes his parents’ names and confronts Nadia in a fit of anger. ‘You were there?! Why didn’t you help them?! You were a Jedi too! Why didn’t you save them!’ ‘BECAUSE I HAD TO PROTECT YOU!’ Yep; Nadia was there because Jane and Carlos had called her shortly after Sonny’s birth to tell her to take him and hide him so the Empire wouldn’t find him. And shortly after Nadia arrived, Kevin and other dark side people arrived. Nadia did everything she could to get away while protecting baby Sonny, losing her hand and getting a large scar on her face and she managed to deliver Sonny to Usnavi’s parents and then she went to her island. 

So after that, it gets a bit more complicated, but we find out that there was a prophecy foretold by the Jedi. The basics said that a Master and Apprentice would betray each other but find peace and that a Chosen One would bring balance to the Force. The Master and Apprentice are Kevin and Nadia, and the Chosen One, is Sonny. So Lincoln and Nadia deal with Kevin and Sonny ends up dealing with the Sith Lord. And that’s all we got.
