Apparently a couple of my posts blew up in the past couple of days and I got a bunch of new followers (yay, welcome), but unfortunately, it happened while I'm down with COVID and high on cough syrup, so it's anyone's guess whether anything I say makes sense right now.
Things you can expect from my page:
Absolutist stance on cognitive liberty. Medical/psychiatric coercion is always wrong in all circumstances, yes, even that one.
Eugenics is always wrong in all circumstances, yes, even that one (yes, this includes "People shouldn't have children they can't afford"; no one should be so underpaid that they can't afford to support a family).
Young people should have far, far more rights than they have now, and should have 100% of their rights by ("by" meaning "no later than") age 18 (although really for most things I would advocate for younger). Yes, even if they make choices you think are bad for them. Yes, even in that circumstance.
All brains/bodies should be considered equal in value, desirability, and rights.
I refer to disabilities as disabilities under the social model of disability. I do not refer to mental differences (neurodivergence/madness/mental disability/psychiatric disability) as "illness" or "disorder." If you are in one of these categories and want to describe your neurodivergence in that way, that is your choice. But I don't.
I post long rants intermittently followed by long dry spells. I try to link back to previous long rants so I don't repeat myself too much.
I'm into some fandoms, current obsession is Star Trek, others are X-Men, Agents of SHIELD, and any mythology/fairytale retelling I can get my hands on. Random fandom analogies show up in my disability rights posts, because the Mutant Registration Act and the Eugenics Wars are upon us.
People are the genders/identities they say they are. Racism, sexism, ableism, queerphobia, classism, eugenics, neurobigotry, any bigotry gets the boot.
I love getting asked questions and will try to give a thoughtful answer to any question unless it's an obvious troll.

Hi! I'm more than happy to answer these!
1. Opinion on turtles?
I think they're cute and kind of interesting. I actually remember finding a turtle in our driveway once when I was little and my mom had to stop me from trying to play with it. A friend got it out of the driveway so it wouldn't get run over or anything.
2. Do you like roosters?
I mean, I don't really have an opinion either way. I definitely wouldn't like to be woken up by one every morning. (Is that really a thing?)
So, ambivalent, I guess.
3. Does it snow where you live?
It used to snow once every few years or so. But it doesn't ever really snow nowadays. I'm okay with that, though.
4 do you have a painting/poster in your room?
Dude, i have so many! I have some pantings. Two, I believe. A ballerina because....actually, I'm not sure why I got that one. i think my mom got it for me or something 😅
I also have a mermaid painting by the same artist as the ballerina. I actually commissioned that one.
I have a doctor who poster, at least 3 Harley Quinn posters, a bucky Barnes poster, a captain America poster. I also have some other decorations. I really love being able to decorate my room (before the house I live in now, we were renting and I couldn't do anything like that). So I went crazy with it.
5. Three random facts I've never said online
Fact 1 - I have a guitar, but I don't know how to play it. I want to learn, but I have a problem with procrastinating and that sort of thing.
Fact 2 - You know how some kids have an imaginary friend?
I had, and i mean this literally, an imaginary multi verse. I would literally switch "worlds."
Fact 3 - This is kind of embarrassing but it's the only thing I can think of.
I first started listening to Taylor swift at 6 years old. Just have to preface with that. But first yearswhen i was younger, when anyone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew ip, I would answer "the next Taylor swift" and later on "a singer."
And I'd even show off and sing. I took an embarrassingly long time to realize that I don't sing well.
Nowadays, I know better about stuff, but I still love to sing along with my music.
(I still cringe when I think about this, lol).

current obsession? Redesigning one of my aquariums and Adam Driver apparently judging by the dream I had last night. (Relatable, subconscious, thanks for reminding me!)
last book you read? I'm currently trying to read The Quantum Curators and The Fabergé Egg by Eva St. John, but so far, it's pretty bad and also boring, so I'll probably stop reading it and reread American Gods which is one of my favorite books.

1. What is your personality type? (Enneagram or Meyers-Briggs or DISC or whatever you like!)
I'd never heard of the last one, so I'll just give the first two:
Enneagram: I'm mostly a 9 with some strong 2, 6, and 7 tendencies
And this actually reminds me that the song "Nine" by Sleeping At Last based off of the Enneagram Type Nine. Judging by the gut punch I got when I first listened to this and the sob fest I had, it's no surprise to me I'm a 9 🙃 (I question how small 5 is since I love researching things...)

2. What car would you like to own, if money were no issue?
I actually really like my minivan - it can hold a lot of people and a lot of stuff. I'd just have it tricked out with a good radio and AC/heater system - I want to be able to have cold air on my face and hot air at my feet if I feel like it!
3. Describe your high school self in five words?
"Teacher's Pet" (I was literally voted this my Sophomore year!), smart, geeky, friendly.
4. What environment is your favorite and makes you feel most at home? A coffee shop, a forest, the Swiss mountains, home with friends, etc?
Home. Gotta be home. Especially if I'm in my own personal cave (i.e. my room) where it can be dark and cool and I can get away from the evil sun (can you tell I'm writing this in summer? :P )
5. Describe your perspective on life in five words?
Overall positive, difficult, worthwhile, discovery.
6. Which traits would make up the ideal best friend for you and why?
Listens (because I've had too many people interrupt me in my life), is okay with casual silence or not constant interaction (because even though I'm an extrovert even I need a break sometimes), has similar interests (so we can talk about and enjoy the same things), also has different interests (so we can both learn about new things and have the joy of telling the other about things we love)
7. What is something in life that you get a disproportionate delight from?
PIGS!!!!

I don't know why, but ever since I was about 8-ish I've just loved pigs! I collect everything pig-related (it's a go-to gift for me if people don't know what to get me for birthday/Christmas) and I have a massive collection of stuffed animals, figurines, piggy banks, and anything with a pig likeness on it! I also love irl pigs, both alive and on my plate. Just...

When I was two years old, I snuck into my baby tub and bathed with clothes on, including shoes
Today, I officially played Fortnite for the first time ever. It wasn't half bad.
Each night when I'm already in bed, lights off, about to sleep, I like to keep the window open for a while because I like the fresh night air.

I never know what people want to know about me, because I'm not interesting at all 😅 Uhhhhhhh, hmm...
In order to get me to eat, my dad told me I had 'baby ducks' in my stomach and if I didn't eat, the baby ducks would starve. It made me feel so bad that I would eat my food up, even if I didn't like it (or wasn't hungry at the time). I fully believed this because my mom endorsed it too, and I think around 1st or 2nd grade I was like... Wait a minute... ducks can't live in my stomach?!
I wanted to be a veterinarian because I luff animals so much <3 But once I saw the amount of education, training, and years they had to put into college, I was like NEWP. Not for me. xD I'm smart but I'm really friggin' lazy.
I got into a car accident in 2018 and as a result I've got this ugly scar that starts from the mid-section of my head, comes down on the right side of my face, over my eyebrow (luckily it missed my eye), and it curves around my right eye. I can't feel NOTHING on the scar, nerve damage I suppose. I'm super self-conscious about it. So, I tend not to look people in the eye. 🙃

When I was 8 I gave my older sister a collage , with a picture of a big, chubby hamster glued to it and a piece of paper underneath that reads “ you are my loveley hamster” (or the original “du bist mein lieber Hamster”)

I have been talking a lot about how I want to be less precious about my sketches but still end up hoarding everything in files that never see the light of day because I think they don't measure up (to my own expectations).
But you know what? This is fanart, it's not meant to be polished since it's just for me and maybe someone else gets a kick out of my doodles as well, so let's end 2024 with a bit of a sketch dump from my files.

you know i used to think it was weird how sora and roxas have such different personalities for supposedly being 'the same person' but after playing a few games i sort of realized that they do have similar personalities, because roxas acts how sora does when he's under extreme stress.
compare roxas to sora in, say, kh1. that's where a lot of peoples idea of sora's personality comes from. sora is generally very upbeat and optimistic in that game. not very similar to roxas, right?
but let's switch the game and talk about a game where sora is ABSOLUTELY GOING THROUGH IT. chain of memories.
sora's resting state is melancholy in com. he only ever cheers up in short bursts, usually when he's joking around with friends. just like roxas.
he's quick to anger, and tends to lash out at the organization members. best example of this is when larxene makes him 'remember' namine, and he swings at her repeatedly, even after she's gone. he only stops when jiminy is able to snap him out of it.
you know what scene that resembles?
sora, while a bit more on the angry side and less sad, continues to act like this in kh2 when he's in stressful situations. (he also has a tendancy to insult people which, while it's not very related to the point, is very funny and sora saying 'gonna cry?' to xigbar is great.) i cant comment any further than that about kh2 off the top of my head.
so, roxas acts like sora does when he's stressed, right? but why is roxas always acting like that? to which i say, he isnt!
he only ever acts like that when he's also in fucked up and stressful situations, which happens to be a CONSTANT in his life. but when he's hanging out with axel and xion, a decidedly NOT stressful situation, he's a lot more like sora. he's teasing his friends and insulting his coworkers and joking around and acting like a normal kid. not really important, but unless i misremembered some sora lines which is VERY possible, both roxas and sora respond to friendly insults with "oh thanks!" a lot. just a funny little detail that felt relevant.
the biggest differences between roxas and sora boil down to environment and... i dont know how to put it besides volume? roxas is very quiet and tends to keep most of his thoughts to himself, while sora is very loud and expressive in comparison.
there is one other huge difference i noticed, which is less character based and more story. sora wanted to get off destiny islands and explore with his friends, but roxas just wanted routine. sora wants adventure, and roxas wants things to stay the same, for days where he gets off work and eats ice cream with his friends to last forever, to keep having conversations about nothing and watching the sunset. roxas wants normalcy, sora wants excitement. it's just interesting seeing their contrast.

random nico power headcanon of mine is that he can overhear things through shadows, particularly if he really focuses in and listens, and if anyone says his name it'll catch his attention through the shadows no matter where either of them are.
the angsty half of this hc is that it means Nico is unfortunately extremely aware of all the negative things people say about him, because he's forced to hear it constantly even when no one else is around unless he's actively tuning it out.
the funny half is that it means Nico knows way too much gossip, and the shippy portion is that it means Nico is far too aware of when people are saying nice things about him and he doesn't know what to do about it.

the arryn line has died out so many times they always have a backup line ready to be the next arryn, these bitches are just sooooo bad at living. everyone’s always picking on the starks for getting nearly wiped out but damn ned & cat really hunkered down and repopulated the hell out of the family tree, like the starklings aren’t doing that bad, meanwhile you just like, sneeze too hard in the direction of the eyrie and the whole arryn line is on the brink of extinction, but it’s okay, they follow strict osha guidelines in the vale and they have a protocol for this very common scenario
