मैं तुम्हें बस इसलिए प्रेम नहीं करता की तुम मेरे जैसी हो,
पर इसलिए करता हूँ कि तुम वो सब हो जो मैं होना चाहता हूँ।
मैं जब सुबह उठता हूँ तो मुझे पता होता है कि
तुम पहले ही उठ चुकी हो और शायद तुमने सूरज को अंगड़ाइयां लेते हुए भी देखा होगा।
रात में मुझे जब नींद नहीं आती तो मैं सोचता हूँ की
कैसे तुम चुपके से चाँद को अपने सारे राज़ बता कर सो चुकी हो।
मुझे मेरी ज़िंदगी सियाह नज़र आती है,
जिसमें तुम्हारा ख़याल आते ही हमेशा रंग भरने लगते है।
मुझे चीजों से भागने/छुपने की बुरी आदत है,
लेकिन अब मैं भागना नहीं बस तुम तक पहुँचना चाहता हूँ।
