If you haven't been able to give it your all or you feel depleted, don't worry because Allah knows your struggle.

I know many of you are going through difficulties with your health and you haven't been able to take part in all the rituals. Know that Allah is cleansing you through the hardships and pain.

I know many of you are struggling with young children and you can barely make time for Taraweeh, know that Allah sees your effort and you're being rewarded for being an attentive mom.

I know some of you can't take off from work or adjust your schedule so it's hard to attend the prayers, Allah knows you're working hard to provide for the family and He will reward your effort.

I know that some of you are being tested in many ways through your marriage, children and finances. It's hard for you to focus or give your all, Allah knows and will reward your patience.

These difficulties are truly a gift in disguise because they are making you turn to Allah more with intense dua and tearful eyes. If you didn't have the difficulties, pain or sadness, you may not have the same khusho (sincerity) in prayer.

I call it insta-khusho! You can cry on command because of your difficulties which assists your connection with Allah!

Stay strong and hopeful and know that no matter what stage you're in, Allah knows your challenges and will reward you for your effort and intention.

Ramadan reminder...

Pulled an all-nighter for the second time in a row but this time it is Eid night, who sleeps anyways? I feel like a REAL mom today for doing the same things I grew up living and feeling from my mom; her staying up on eid night to make everything for us perfect. From cleaning to tidying up and sorting out our outfits upto the prayer mat, checking which time the salah is and which route to take. The morning tea with Eid cookies (I can't wait!!!!) These details mattered the most and went unnoticed... until I wore her shoes. Nothing like giving your loved ones and family the best Eid vibes and making your best to make everyone happy. It feels so rewarding when you see them happy and when you get this comment from your husband: "these are actually the best Eid cookies I had in my life" after trying them freshly baked. Alhamdulillaah.

In the pursuit of earning great rewards during Ramadan many pray, read Quran and give in charity, but overlook one of the greatest ways to earn rewards and that is to keep family relations. Spending time with your family, giving them value, showing them love and respect can be an amazing way to strengthen your relationship with your creator and your loved ones. So pick up the phone and call a family member you haven't talked to or go for a visit and see how you can light up their world!
