As we approach the last 10 days and nights of Ramadan I want to encourage you all to memorize and recite this Dua often. I made this video in a simple follow along format for ease of learning and memorization.

Aisha reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, if I know which night is the Night of Decree, what should I say during it?” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Say: O Allah, You are pardoning. You love to forgive, so forgive me.”

[Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3513]

Since tonight is an odd night of Ramadan, it is possible that we Laylat-ul-Qadr is upon us. Don’t miss this opportunity to make Dua for forgiveness and for the mercy of Allah (swt).

Dua for Lailat-ul-Qadr

‘A’isha said, “I said, ‘Messenger of Allah, if I know what night the Night of Power is, what do you think I should say during it?’ He said, ‘Say: “O Allah, You are Pardoning and you love pardon, so pardon me.”‘” (Tirmidhi)

اللْهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُعَنِّي

Allahumma innaka `afuwwun tuhibbul `afwa fa`fu `annee

May Allah accept our prayers and grant us the strength and guidance to continue serving humanity and advancing knowledge for the betterment of society.

Asking Him with clear heart and sound. Perhaps you can just sleep or rest after coming from Taraweeh and set your alarm clock at 12:00 am to get up. Remember, if Rasul (saw) didn’t sleep the last Ten Nights of Ramadan. What about us. He used wake up his whole family in the last Ten Days of Ramadan.

Keep up the good work in these last Ten days of Ramadan. We may never see this light again.
