The Messenger of Allah (ﷻ) said:
"He who observes optional prayer (Tarawih prayers) throughout Ramadan, out of sincerity of Faith and in the hope of earning reward will have his past sins pardoned."

Suhoor shows us that we can wake up for fajr. Tawareeh shows us we can stand up in prayer at night. Fasting shows us we do have self control. Ramadan is not a temporary increase of our imaan, It shows us what we are capable of doing it every day.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنه): The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If anyone prays at night reciting regularly ten verses, he will not be recorded among the negligent; if anyone prays at night and recites a hundred verses, he will be recorded among those who are obedient to Allah; and if anyone prays at night reciting one thousand verses, he will be recorded among those who receive huge rewards.

Assalamu alaikum
How do you read taraweeh? I dont have anyone to ask and your blog has been so helpful to me
wa alaikum salam. it is encouraged to taraweeh at the mosque but this is how to pray it at home:
wudhu / ghusl as usual
you pray it after ishaa
make the intention of praying taraweeh
you pray it with 2 rakaats at a time - like tahajjud
recite surah Fatihah as usual
after surah Fatihah, it is encouraged if you have memorised the Qur'an to recite it in the order that you know with lengthy surahs. if you do not know that many, you pray it with the surahs that you already know, making sure that they are in order.
continue doing your 2 rakaats until you are satisfied - usually people do it 8 times.
here is a website explaining how to perform it too

Ramadan reflection
Asalamu Alaikum, Alhamdulillah this Ramadan has been good so far, yet it has flown by, SubhanAllah. It’s a good time to remake our intentions and also set new attainable goals right before the last 10 nights. Whatever those goals might be make them a little bit tougher so that you can push yourself, but don’t burn yourself out either. Maybe make a little challenge between you and your family or friends for the better inshaAllah. May Allah keep us all steadfast and increase us in our good deeds, iman, faith, health and wellness. And may Allah forgive us all for our shortcomings and grant us a good death. JazakumAllahu Khairan

One day in the life of the Prophet (pbuh) in Ramadan?
There is no doubt that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was always at the highest level in worship. Therefore, it is possible to list the deeds of worship he performed in Ramadan in addition to his normal worship as follows:
a. He did not neglect to get up for suhoor. He also recommended suhoor to others.
“Make sure to get up for suhoor because there is blessing in suhoor.” (Bukhari, Sawm, 20)
b. He read the Quran every day. He recited it mutually (in the form of muqabala) with Jibril (Gabriel).
c. During Ramadan, his generosity increased more and more.
We can see those two aspects in the following hadith:
Ibn Abbas narrates:
“The Prophet (pbuh) was the most generous one among people in terms of charity. There was no limit to his generosity, especially when he met Jibril (Gabriel) in Ramadan. His meeting with Jibril took place every day during the month of Ramadan. His generosity in charity was like the blowing wind.” (Bukhari, Sawm, 7)
D. He performed tarawih prayer.
According to what Aisha (ra) narrates, the Prophet (pbuh) led tarawih prayer in congregation in the mosque for three nights. Every night the congregation increased more and more. On the fourth night, there were so many people that the mosque was brimful and many people remained outside the mosque. The congregation waited for the Prophet (pbuh) to come and lead tarawih prayer but he came to lead the morning prayer only. After leading the prayer, he turned toward the congregation and said,
“I knew that you were in the mosque waiting for me, but I feared that tarawih prayer would be rendered fard for you and it would be very difficult for you.”
When Aisha (ra) was asked how many rak’ahs he performed tahajjud (midnight) prayer (tarawih is also a midnight prayer) in Ramadan, she said,
“He did not pray more than eleven rak’ahs together with witr neither in Ramadan nor outside of it.” (see Bukhari, Tarawih, 1)
e. He performed i’tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. (see. Bukhari, I’tikaf, 1)
f. He paid special attention to the Night of Power (Laylatul-Qadr). In fact, he generally performed i’tikaf with the intention of worshipping on the Night of Power. As a matter of fact, according to what Abu Said al-Khudri narrates, the Prophet (pbuh) performed i’tikaf in the ten days between the tenth and the twentieth of Ramadan before, and when he came to the 20th day, he said,
“I was shown the Night of Power, but I forgot; look for it in the last ten days of Ramadan.” (Bukhari, I’tikaf, 9)

Know that in the month of Ramadhan, the believer has two types of Jihad of the Nafs (self): Jihad (striving) during the day upon fasting and Jihad (striving) during the night upon Qiyam (night prayers). Whoever combines together these two Jihaad, fulfills their *rights* and is patient upon them, will receive its reward without account. (Lataa'iful Ma'arif, by Ibn Rajab)
