Obsessed
Oh my goodness. My pretty bunny is so cute! Sure she’s a little murdery, but who doesn’t love a woman who can defend herself? She’s such a cute patoot and I wanna kiss her whole face! Lili is the slasher villain and not the final girl and I LOVE IT! She just wants to spill guts and get kisses!
Listening to the college station and taking revenge is such a fun way to spend the afternoon. Maybe even sneaking in a kiss in between. Dancing and singing and spilling blood, what a way to spend the day!
Just look at her!! She’s the cutest girl ever!!

The Book of Learning volume three continues with more developmental images of the Lazarus print. I mentioned yesterday that I wanted to concentrate on Jesus’ Jewishness, since he was a rabbi and part of a history of radical Jewish teachers as well as how Christians see him. A way to do that was to research things he may have worn and how he would have worn his hair considering historical references to first century Jews (rather than later medieval images). The first image shows an early test print of the part cut block. He wears the phylactery (which I think is the small box of scriptural scrolls) around his forehead and strapped to his left arm. These were often worn for morning prayers so I could have the rising sun as his halo. His simple tunic, skull cap and beard are probably close and I assumed by researching Yemenite Jews whose traditional dress has been less influenced by Europe that his payot (side ringlets) would have been accurate because they are based on Leviticus -until I found that actually the interpretation of that scripture that recommends them is from the 16th Century, (so, unlikely that Jesus would have worn them). That means this brown test print is the only version showing him with payot. The second page is a drawing for this - the phylactery is lower to the forehead than often worn but reminded me of the Buddhist / Hindu divine third eye so I liked it. This page and the next also show research shots of recoiling from bright light, as I imagine may have been Lazarus’s natural reaction to opening his eyes again after four days. A lovely photo image of what Jesus may have looked like is here too. The last page is more planning drawings for body shapes based on Kev very patiently posing for me. #sketchbook #printmakersofinstagram #sketchbookdrawing #printmaking #linocut #lazarus #jesus #phylactery #tefilin #payot #developmentdrawings #raisedfromthedead #miracle (at Minster Court) https://www.instagram.com/p/CejBu9cM2kG/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Today we celebrate the Venerable Tabitha (Dorcas) the Merciful Widow. Saint Tabitha was the woman raised from the dead by the Apostle Peter in Joppa, as recorded in Acts 9, after she had fallen grievously ill. She was a seamstress by trade and gave generously to the poor. After her raising, she continued to do good deeds and to live by the Gospel until she reposed peacefully at an old age. May she intercede for us always + #saint #tabitha #dorcas #venerable #merciful #seamstress #apostle #peter #stpeter #apostlepeter #raisedfromthedead #resurrection #gospel #jesuschrist #jesus #christ #widow #orthodox #saintoftheday (at Jaffa, Israel) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGvT7stJ10U/?igshid=k02mos4phyun

FALSE MIRACLES AND LIES, DECEIVED AND IGNORANT PEOPLE (Regarding modern reports of #raisingthedead) ~ 1/24/11 From YahuShua HaMashiach, Our Lord and Savior The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy For The Lord’s Little Flock, and For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear (Regarding modern reports of people being raised from the dead and coming back from death) Source: https://www.thevolumesoftruth.com/False_Miracles_and_Lies,_Deceived_and_Ignorant_People

What did you just say, Pastor Wayne?!? Are you serious?!?!
Yes! The Resurrection Christ, and the belief that Jesus rose from the dead IS A BIG LIE....that is, FOR MOST PEOPLE. This single issue of the so-called “Christian Religion” is the one thing the majority of people cannot believe or accept and is the #1 stumbling block for accepting the message of the Gospel.
Ask the average person and they will concede that the Bible is a general historical description of events that happened in ancient Israel, and most likely would also concede that Jesus was both a real historical figure and an influential teacher and a good man. Beyond that, this raise-from-the-dead business is not only false, but also not possible or believable.
Are you one of those people? If so, consider this...
Billions of people have experienced “the likeness of his resurrection” in their lives through miracles, healings, answered prayers, and a profound sense of inner peace. The comparisons of Christian believers is universal – across all nations, ethnicities, and ages. Without going into a lot of technical and theological detail, the integrity and message of Christ - as well as the Bible - has been proven over and over again to be not just historically accurate, but also within its overall message.
So where does this lead YOU if you still do not believe this raise-from-the-dead business? It is a challenge to re-evaluate WHY you feel that way. Investigate it for yourself; don’t just pass this off. If it is true, it is the key to not only this life, but the next life as well.

Obsessed Again
Okay, need to blab about my pretty little murder bunny again.
Obsessed with cuddling her and showering her with kisses after a successful night. Praising her softly and washing the blood out of her curls in a warm shower. Maybe brushing out her hair while admiring her in the mirror, making her blush with comments about her beauty. Sitting in bed and painting her nails and letting her ramble on and on. Listening to her speak is like listening to music except this is something far more rare, far more precious. I cherish every word because, at any moment, little Lili may return to her quiet.
I love the silence too. Just because she’s selectively mute doesn’t mean she’s silent. She squeaks when she finds something. She hums when she works. She communicates with gestures and little noises, precious in their sound. Sure she doesn’t wish to speak, but she still talks. She isn’t silent. She’s precious and every sound she makes is sacred.

The penultimate (for now) set from the Book of Learning volume three is another mixed bag. It’s a sketchbook about figuring out printmaking processes. It opens here with an almost finished sample edition of “Lazarus Come Out!” Which was then the most recent outcome for Etsy. It’s a Lino single layer print and has been received pretty well. I’ll explain it more when I come to archive finished work but for now it’s function is to complete the design cycle that started with its initial drawings archived some weeks ago. The following three are samples from the intro to print course which had started that week and I made these experiments to demonstrate how to begin with monoprint. Two are drawing out of the window to demonstrate different ink thicknesses and the last one is the initial samples of different mark making games. #sketchbook #sketchbookdrawing #printmakersofinstagram #printmaking #linocut #linoprint #lazarus #raisedfromthedead #etsyshop #Etsy #monoprint #monoprinting #liverpoolartist #archive (at Minster Court) https://www.instagram.com/p/CgCX7QGskAN/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
