I mean it's not too far fetched to think AFO could've remembered what Search told him about Bakugos weakness. He is extremely smart and he knows how much Bakugo means to Izuku so it would be smart of him to remember that. Also AFO was most likely using Search at Kamino, and he saw Bakugo in person there so he's seen his weaknesses using Search multiple times.

Referring to this post for anyone wondering.

Ok that is true but now here’s a thought experiment. Then why wasn’t he musing in that moment how he used search to find his weakness? That even if his quirk is disabled why do they think he wouldn’t remember it?

Also it nice that you are praising AFO ability to remember and hold onto such information. But last I checked he was kind he kind of left Bakugou to the LOV to take care of in Kamino. Note this isn’t to say it far fetch or impossible, I would never claim that.

In fact, it is very much possible he would remember. However, we have no idea how search works exactly here is how she described it.

Note there IS a limit. So the information is stored in the quirk.

This means whatever 100 people rag doll was looking at is what information that was retained. Which likely did include the class.

This is all the direct information we have on search, it is quite vague on what weakness it talks about. Only that it can hold 100 at a time.

It’s powerful but I doubt it so OP that it can hold onto every little information unless the quirk is active. The quirk came with the information so I don’t think it can work without the quirk is all I’m saying about it.

That could also be part of the drawback that while it can obtain and hold the information permanently it might only be 100 people and the quirk needs to be active. Considering AFO just said how doesn’t care about Bakugou it kinda funny that he would keep the search information.

These are all guesses tho in the end, he could have some how retained the information on search after deciding. “Yeah I’ll keep the information on Bakugou.” from Kamino. Or he could have known prior because of DFO reasons.

No one can truly say which way this goes only Horikoshi can say if decides to clarify if it from search or prior knowledge.

Okay Hawks fans. Your boy survived a head-on fight with AFO. And you KNOW Hawks is a bad bitch with or without his wings. Hell, for much of the AFO fight he’s been relying on prosthetic wings. Hawks, as a human being, is a highly trained spy and intelligent combatant. AFO can’t take that away. PLUS Hawks now has a quirk vestige inside AFO. The spy has infiltrated! That means Hawks can find Ragdoll’s vestige and lead the vestige revolt from within….which makes Hawks’s comment about AFO not losing any quirks as he rewinds even more interesting.

She finds the idea of your graffiti fascinating. Just make sure it's somewhere that it's allowed to be otherwise she'll have to punish you for breaking some laws~

Wonders if maybe you'd like to do an art class or something at UA. The students could use more ways to relax and express themselves and she knows that graffiti would definitely cause some excitement. Of course, that's only if you'd like to.

Likes to take her paperwork outside when she works so she can stay at a safe distance while you're painting some new mural or doing a smaller commission for someone. Just the noises and sounds of the paint make great white noise for her as she looks over school stuff but also admires the concentration on your face.

Ragdoll

A bit jumpy when you're working on a new project. She tries to sit still to watch you, but she really can't. Lots of tapping her leg or humming to herself while you work. Also gives you compliments about the colors and swiggles you make.

She does think it's really cool that you do graffiti art, she just cannot for the life of her relax and watch you work. Would be happy to just bring you food or water while you're working, but besides that she needs to run some laps or something due to her energy.

Always "oohs" and "ahhs" the finished product. She'd like to make an attempt to do graffit stuff too, but she gets impatient with trying to be patient with line work. So, she just tells you all about how cool your art is and what she likes the best.

What Did They Do to Ragdoll?

During the training arc camp, All For One kidnapped and kept Ragdoll/Tomoko Shiretoko, the other main victim of that arc alongside Bakugo. While not discussed as much as him, Ragdoll is still an important figure in the discussion of Nomu and All For One, which would become very important later into the series. It’s also a good measurement for the timeline around the construction of Aizawa’s backstory and the traitor reveal, which I discussed in the previous chapter.

To start, All For One doesn’t need to grab people entirely to take their quirks. We’ve seen in Vigilantes that, with the help of Kurogiri, he is able to take people’s quirks in seconds. This occurs before either of them are arrested, so theoretically, he could have used Kurogiri’s help if he wanted to simply take her quirk and leave.

However, that isn’t what happened, as her body disappeared mysteriously off-screen, with only vague estimates of when she was taken.

Given the bloodstain, she was implied to have been brutally murdered, her body mysteriously missing. However, the next time we see her, she has no visible injuries. While unharmed, she’s shown to be catatonic, wet, and naked, due to having been in one of the same tanks that other Nomu were kept.

Ragdoll is 31 at this time, so “quite awhile” could mean anything from a few years to over a decade. I doubt it’s less than a year, as AFO’s immortal status gives him a skewed sense of time.

Despite her lack of quirk, and her hero status, she was still kept in the same warehouse as the other Nomu. Most Nomu are modeled after random villains, but she was a hero, and one that would draw attention from the authorities. However, it’s most likely that the discovery of the warehouse was unintentional, and that Bakugo’s kidnapping was used as the cover for her own murder/kidnapping.

As a side note that adds to this theory, Ragdoll is the name of a breed of cat, but it also refers to a toy. Nomu, notably, have been referred to as “insane toys”. Given Horikoshi’s love of puns and name meanings, I doubt this was a coincidence.

Therefore, this marks the first time we’ve seen the beginnings of the process of someone being turned into a Nomu, and the second time we’ve seen an established hero be on the chopping block. Ironically, it’s most likely that Kurogiri was the one that collected her body.

She has a few other similarities to Kurogiri that I find to be notable as I’m interested in figuring out the timeline of the creation of Aizawa’s backstory. For one, Tomoko Shiretoko is phonetically similar to Oboro Shirakumo. Secondly, it was her idea to form an agency with her friends, also shared with Shirakumo. Their quirks are both being used to aid AFO against their will. They were both murdered/kidnapped and taken to be “modified”, though only one made it out relatively unscathed (though still quirkless and traumatized).

Headed more into theory territory, but search would be a convenient match for warp gate, which can open portals as long as there’s coordinates. Search can reveal the location of up to 100 people at once. While it ended up with All For One, it’s entirely possible it could have been given back to the Ragdoll Nomu, or possibly even given to Kurogiri himself.
