I have three questions, all involving Toruu Hagakure, from Class 1-A, also known as Invisible Girl.
First, how did she get into U-A?! I doubt she had any combat training prior to the entrance exam, and as seen from both the Ultra Archive and Ultra Analysis books, she had a D in power, and a C in speed. Clearly she couldn’t have fought the robots in her personal fighting style, melee. She could have easily evaded them, but for her quirk and strength capabilities, that’s about as much as she’d be able to do. Unless she had some kind of gear or item that she could use to eliminate them. Either way, it’d be incredibly difficult for her to stand out in any way to the panel of judges. But then of course there’s the rescue points. We know for sure she didn’t get more then 56 points combined, but that’s about it. There were 36 people that got into U.A. via the entrance exam, which doesn’t include the 4 that got in via recommendation, Shoto Todoroki, Momo Yaoyorozu, Juzo Honenuki, and Setsuna Tokage. Subtract the 10 that had the top scored, and that’s 26 people. Toruu could have been any one of them, but I doubt anyone had less than 10-25 points.
Secondly, should she really be a hero with her specific quirk? It could be seriously dangerous for her to get injured. Just think about it, though. How would the doctors know where she was hurt? To make it easier, let’s assume that although she herself is invisible, her blood isn’t. They still wouldn’t be able to see the wound itself, much less be able to patch it up. Even giving her an IV would be a pain. And also considering her quirk, let’s say she was chosen for some undercover break-in and capture mission. Although her power is good for this kind of thing, it also comes with risks. If she were somehow rendered unconscious, be it by gas, or some kind of trap, or by someone with a quirk that would allow them to locate her, it would be close to impossible to find her until she woke up. Due to the nature of her quirk, it also leaves her terribly unprotected. Which leads to my next question.
How the hell does she work in winter without freezing or getting hypothermia? Is her quirk just useless in winter due to her having to wear a coat/hat/gloves/boots and other winter apparel? Or does she put up with the cold? That doesn’t sound like a very good idea, considering my previous question. Anyway.
Honestly, in my opinion, invisibility is more like a curse unless you can turn it off.

Let’s Talk About Quirk Instincts
because quirk science is FASCINATING
More specifically, let's talk about how quirks influence a user’s behavior, the varying types of behaviors, and the “pretty privilege” society has towards these mannerisms !!there is a high chance of spoilers!!
DISCLAIMER 1: For the sake of argument, and a certain point i’ll be making, Midoriya will be referred to as quirkless as he was not born with OFA.
DISCLAIMER 2: To avoid confusion with Togaru, Toga will be referred to by her first name, Himiko.
DISCLAIMER 3: A lot of this is going to be speculation, opinions and my personal interpretation of a lot of these characters. so take what i say with a grain of salt.
DISCLAIMER 4: This post is for the purpose of discussion, if you have insight or your own speculations on this subject feel more than free to share!

How the hell do i start this is the true question here….
Well let’s start by asking questions ig
What do i mean by quirk instincts? i mean the little things about a user that are caused by their quirk. What are some examples of a quirk based instinct? So far in the show 2 very big examples of quirk instincts are Himiko and Togaru. Himiko's quirk “Transform” requires her to consume the blood of another so she has a natural attraction to blood and a desire to consume it, as we see in her flashback, she didn’t think twice about Ozzy Osbourne-ing that bird and was more than proud to show her parents. Togaru’s quirk “Razor Sharp” (which is a shit name for it imo) allows him to produce and retract blades into his body. Because of this ability, he has a natural affinity for wanting to cut things and cut people. This is evident in literally every bit of dialogue he’s had. The start of his joint training match, Togaru’s first action that he deemed reasonable was to hurl himself towards Jiro, blades out, with the fullest intent of de-mutating her.
Does everyone with a quirk have a quirk instinct? Do they all affect a user like Himiko and Togaru’s quirks do? i would argue that everyone with a quirk has a quirk instinct, i would also argue that everyone without a quirk has a “quirk” instinct but we’re gonna save that for later. Focusing on those with a quirk for right now, no, not every quirk instinct is as severe or obvious as Togaru’s and Himiko’s. i mean of course the “Explosion” quirk user is gonna have an “explosive” personality but what if i told you that a quirk could cause its user to naturally avoid or go directly against their quirk?
“Who the fuck are you talking about?” i hear someone in the back row ask.
“Shut up for 5 seconds and i’ll tell you” i say back.
The main 2 people i’m thinking of in this case are Hitoshi Shinso and Toruu Hagakure. Shinso’s quirk “Brainwash” of course was villainized, and ridiculed and was stated that if anyone else had this quirk it would definitely be used to do Not Okay Things. With this in mind, it would be safe to say that Shinso has developed a natural let’s call it a defense mechanism. The person with a quirk that requires talking to people, by natural occurrence, avoids social interaction to the best of his abilities. Granted we don’t know Shinso’s life when his quirk first developed but judging how accustomed the poor boy is to being villainized due to his quirk, we can assume he’s always been a quiet person. Now on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, Hagakure, who is invisible, always does her best to stand out. Her room is bright and pink and girly, she’s extremely talkative in a “Hey hey dont forget im here” sort of way, she’s always concerned with standing out and during her training match vs 1B she was the LOUDEST on the field. When you’re always invisible there’s a fear that you may be forgotten or looked over so with the quirk “Invisibility” it may be an emotional type of defense mechanism to have the desire to stand out.
Now what about the quirkless?
What about the quirkless? Well, the only ones we know to be quirkless are Midoriya and Melissa Shields. (Dave has been confirmed to have a quirk, he can bend his fingers as though they were made of rubber. It’s called “Squirmy Fingers”) also no I havent seen the 2nd or 3rd movies thanks for asking and not spoiling them for me :)
Even though Melissa and Midoriya don’t have quirks they both still have a desire to be part of quirk society. So even with no quirks they still have a “quirk” or rather, quirkless instinct. Midoriya’s is clearly his obsession with quirks in general. “You don’t have a quirk of your own so learn how others use their quirks and how to combat several types of quirks.” Something like that. Melissa is more of a diluted case, she just wants to be able to contribute to hero society despite her lack of a quirk.
What about the outliers? What outliers? The outliers! Those who’s quirks don’t have an apparent influence on their behaviors be it directly or indirectly like Inko, Kendo, and Tenya.
Oh...those outliers…Well here’s the part where i start reaching. Tenya can be inferred as “healthy mind healthy body” engines need great care to stay working right? So he wants to be orderly in his life. Misorder could snowball into something bigger and in his mind should the order be broken it may cause his engines to break down. Or something. As for Kendo we drift into metaphorical reasoning, maybe something on the lines of “iron grip” maybe??? (this is why this post is open for discussion)
Say your quirk makes explosions and no one bats an eye, say it makes you crave blood and society goes wild
Society. Is a bunch of quirkist pricks when it comes to quirk instincts. How is it that the blood thirsty girl got set on the path of villainy but the boy thats a year younger than her and solves his problems by slicing through them got set on the path of heroism? im only using Togaru and Himiko so often because theyre the most actively violent. i mean, so is Bakugo but his instinct isnt on the same level as those two. any excuse to not talk about him is a good excuse/j.
The sort-of obvious answer lies within their parents,
“But we’ve never seen Togaru’s parents!” says the God damned back row
“Correct!” i answer, taping your mouth shut so you dont interrupt me again. But we have seen Himiko’s parents. And their reactions to her quirk. Its clear that her quirk doesnt come from either of them or anyone in her family based on how quick they were to shun her out. She’s like Eri, her quirk is a genetic mutation. and rest assured i will be more than happy to make a quirk genetics post.
Togaru however managed to get into U.A. logically speaking this means his quirk comes from one of his parents, they were more tolerant of his slice-n-dice mentality with the added benefit of having a friend in Setsuna, Togaru essentially had it easy when it came to dealing with his quirk instinct. If Himiko’s parents took the time to not be assholes and like, made a trip to the blood bank every once in a while then maybe we could’ve had the hero!Himiko the fandom wonders about. But alas, twas not meant to be. Granted i doubt people are gonna be excited to be saved by a hero thats literally there just to cut a bitch but he can still call himself a hero. Now isn't that fucked up?
methinks that the severity of a quirk instinct depends on the complexity of a quirk itself, Midnight’s quirk may cause her to be more naturally calm than others whereas Setsuna may have the urge to hunt prey. ‘Geki’s love of boxing may stem from his quirk while Reiko’s enjoyment of creepy pastas comes from hers. the nature behind quirks and how they dictate their user’s feelings and way of thinking is so vast and unexplored. I wish we could learn more.

I tried myself in writing a short serojirou oneshot
And used the OTP prompt generator because I am unt creative enough to think of something myself.

The Bakusquad had a movie night in Kaminaris Dorm room like every week. This time it was Bakugous time and of course he had to pick a horror movie. It was Bakugou what else should he have picked without being embarrassed about it.
During the jumpscares Bakugou laughed kirishima was sitting there freezing. Mina and Kirishima were screaming and hiding behind Sero and Mina.
Jirou shivered everytime Mina Mina hugged her tighter.
Sero spaced out at some point.
Neither of these two wanted to admit it but both didn't liked horror movies.
After the movie finally ended Seros body relaxed. Wich Kaminari seem to noticed. "You okay bro?" He asked. Sero just cracked a smile and said "Obviously, but are you fine? Think you'll be able to sleep now" "Of course, why wouldn't I"
"I don't know maybe because you and Mina were really loud right now screaming at everything that happend?" Jirou asked jokingly.
"But Kyo that's the fun part of it"
She just looked confused nit understanding what her friend was trying to tell her.
"We no nothing in the movie is real but we watch it for the thrill. It's fun to be 'scared'"
"You guys don't make sense", mumbled Sero the others laughed at that.
After that they decideded to go to sleep. Or they tried to. Some of them fell asleep rather quickly while others were after an hour still awake.
Jirou decided to sneak into the kitchen and drink something. Maybe that would help. She didn't bother to turn the lights on and her eyes got used to the dark rather quickly. With a glass of water she was sitting on the floor. She hated horror movies.
Meanwhile Sero was wondering if Jirou would be coming back or not. After the film he was a bit worried that anything would haben. The fear was probably irrational but what should he do. It's not his fault.
When after five minutes she still didn't came back he decided to look if everything is okay.
A shiver run through Jirou when she heard footsteps coming to the kitchen.
"Jirou?", Whispered Sero. Jirou calmed down after she realized it was just her friend. "Sero? What are you doing here?"
"I was just looking for you. You didn't came back"
"Naw where you worried for me" she wouldn't admit it but the thought gave her a warm feeling.
"Mmh" and with that he sat next to her leaning against the counter.
"Why are you still awake?" Jirou asked him. "Can't sleep"
"What did you thought of the movie?"
"Super great film. I liked. Definitly. What about you?"
"Yeah same. Obviously. I love horror"
Both were lying and both knew this but they wouldn't admit it out loud.
After some time Jirou put her head on his shoulder. "I'm tired" she mumbled.
Sero who was to tired to freeze because she leaned against him just gave her a mee too.
"Do you hear that?" Jirou asked because she heard again footsteps. Sero shaked his head. But he believed that there was someone because Jirou had a really good hearing.
When a few moments later the lights got turned on without them being able to see someone Sero pulled Jirou closer to her while she squeezed his arm.
"Are you guys okay?" Hagakures voices asked them. Confused why these two are sitting in the kitchen floor looking scared.
"Toruu it's just you"
Both of them we're relieved. Now that they recognised Hagakures voice they were able to see her pyjamas.
"I think should really go back to sleep now" Sero said and Jirou nodded.
"Good night!"
Back in Kaminaris room they laid back down on the floor and while holding their hands they also were able to get some sleep.

Some things I noticed during the latest chapter (256)
Finally another things I noticed! It’s been a while - then again, I doubt anyone really missed my rambling. These are a lot of fun to do though, so without further ado - let us begin!
The boyfriends are back! I’m really feeling Tamaki’s outfit in these. Also it’s just great to see them again.
Is it just me or did he actually improve his social anxiety a bit for being able to speak so directly to Aizawa? I mean Mirio is right there, he could also have said nothing and let him do the talking.
Oh. My. Good! Look at those toys in the background! They’re adorable (and a bit scary). I wonder if this room was made for Eri specifically, I’m not sure if its.... fitting for the students otherwise. Can I also just say that I really like the big three basically having adopted Eri as well? It’s cute.
Dadzawa has returned.
On a very different note! Mina! Ew! But also yey! It’s a cool special move, but also looks disgusting. And poor Aoyama still gets hurt by his own quirk.
But he too came up with a new move! Well done!
Also can we just appreciate this panel below? Is Sato drooling? Did he make the cotton candy? Why does Toky look so adorable here? Didn’t Sero get one too?
We also get more confirmation that Hagakure’s quirk isn’t actually invisibility, but light manipulation. Also how can she look so badass with just... gloves?
Do you know what is something that I never understood? How tf she placed above Izuku in that first quirk sports test Aizawa put them through. Because I do not see how her quirk helped her at all with any of the tasks and we know from later on (a panel where she trains) that she is not very physically fit. Izuku on the other hand had trained hours on end before entering UA and was in top physical condition + he at least once scored very high with the ball throwing. So how on earth did he score below her???? (yeah plot, of course, but come one!)
Isn’t her acid like... dangerous? Shoudl she just shake it all over the place? Also Toruu and her wild gesticulation is a mood. Poor Aoyama though.
Look at Mina’s lil tongue. Look at how Kiri is about to burst with happiness. Look how dumbfounded he is at first. I love their friendship so much!
Supportive Iida is supportive! Also I love hearing about who they interned with (though I wished we actually... you know... had seen some of it?). Also Momo looks so majestic in her cloak. Might I also draw your attention to the fact that we do not see Toky in this? He’s supposed to be standing somewhere between Satou and Denki afterall. Maybe he was further to the back, but still, wouldn’t we be able to see some of his head at least? Unless, that is, he’s actually too small.
Is that DYNAMITE??? Also yes Majestic indeed!
Wait did Ojirou change up his hero outfir abit? I don’t think those gloves were there before, were they? I am so happy to see my tail boy again, it’s been so long. Also that pro hero looks fierce af!
I love that Koda actually got one of the top-tier internships, but he and wash? How on earth did they even communicate at all?
Yes! Gang Orca is back! And Jirou and Shouji together? Amazing! I never imagined them being friends much but now I find I actually really, really like the idea.
Kiri I love you and your ridiculous teeth too much for my own good. And I’m so glad he got to intern with Fat again!

There is a discord roleplay server of a Royal Fantasy AU. It's roughly based on the one we see in canon. This Royal AU takes place in the medieval time period where three Royal Families, the Yaoyorozus who pride themselves on diplomacy and trade; the Todorokis, who pride themselves on a misguided sense of happiness and pride and the Monomas, who are arrogant narcissists that pride themselves upon their luxurious and far superior kingdom, are close to war. A betrothal between Momo and Neito is proposed to fix the rising tensions... but can they ease the animosity between the Todorokis and the Monomas? The magic users and the fighters of the kingdom are being instructed to train... to become stronger, faster, better. A storm is brewing and everyone can feel it. Will you ease the flames of war? Or fuel them?
