I read a post where someone pointed out that Izuna doesn’t have his ponytail in Hashirama’s flashbacks, and I think it’s hilarious that all of us have collectively decided to accept the version of Izuna offered by Itachi, who is notoriously misinformed about history, over Hashirama’s, who actually saw Izuna with his own eyes.

I need to know Madara's workout routine when he was growing up with Izuna 💪😏

alright everyone first set of hcs with Izuna! I really love the sibling dynamic between these two, reminds me of the dynamic i have with my sister. I think that their close relationship and constant sparring is a direct result of the loss of their other brothers, causing Madara and Izuna to train to watch each other's backs and to defend what they hold close to their hearts. Anyways, here's a premium Uchiha bros workout routine!

• Their daily training starts very early in the morning, even earlier than sunrise (about 5am). Madara started leading the clan at a young age, even before becoming an adult, so Izuna and him wake up as early as possible to use daylight to the max and the evenings are for paperwork.

• Mostly start with a long run to train endurance, about an hour until 6am. Would make it more difficult by running across rivers or mountains to also train chakra control.

• Taijutsu training until 9am to warm up (yeah 3 hours of warm up bc they're extra).

• Another 3 hours of ninjutsu training to improve as much as possible their katonjutsu. Also spare some time at this point to train younger shinobi in their clan and examine the quality of their army. Izuna is better at dealing with teens whereas Madara guides both young adults and children.

• At noon they'd have lunch and eat a LOT. Like 2 whole fishes each or something like that. Since they're good bros, they'd cook together 🥺💕 Izuna makes good rice and Madara knows how to make bomb ass roasted fish.

• After lunch they nap under a tree in their backyard or in the engawa of their house, until about 1pm.

• From 1pm to 4pm it's fighting. Straight up battlefield simulation, every single technique available, all their weapons. This doubles as Sharingan training.

• After their last sparring session they go home and shower. At least half an hour in the hot springs to soothe the sore muscles. Madara is the best big bro ever and rubs ointment in any bruise or wound that Izuna has. Izuna being a loyal and caring little bro insists on Madara wearing his gloves to not harm his hands every day and watches over him constantly. If one of them is too tired, the other one does their haircare and skincare. Peak brotherhood.

• Another little nap and straight to paperwork until about 11pm. Rinse and repeat the next day!

I am convinced Itachi is pro-choice and the biggest supporter of women in existence.

Indra

- Wonderful. Just what he looks for in a partner. Indra doesn't have time to be questioned or deal with people who doubt him, he needs loyal servants to help and assist him in the pursuit of his goal. Having (Y/N) at his feet makes the job of founding a clan easier, provides him with private entertainment, and keeps him from becoming enraged by disobedience. Literally what he always dreamed of in a mate, and he makes the most of every second of it.

Madara

- Amusing, but to a point. Madara's cynical mind enjoys fighting, being contradicted, and then shutting the mouth of the one who dares to confront him with wisdom and experience. Having (Y/N) comply with everything he asks of her and not questioning the reason for anything is great, the first few times. The Uchiha needs the thrill of being pushed back, of getting put on the spot, of fighting, and her attitude doesn't help his cause.

Izuna

- A giant NO. Izuna loves free people, those who live for themselves and for their own goals, under their own rules and without anyone being able to tell them what to do. Having (Y/N) running after him like a bitch in heat doesn't present a challenge, doesn't make things difficult, and there's nothing he finds better than having to work to get what he wants. It doesn't please him at all, and he will be less than vocal about it. If she doesn't notice, then he will have to walk away.

Obito

- It's a two-way street. (Y/N) doing everything he wants and not questioning anything is like she was imitating him, the guy who devoted himself to her from the first moment they saw each other. Obito mentally decided to take care of her, give her everything, always be present for anything she needs, and proclaimed himself as a simp even before she did. For (Y/N) to do the same fills him with validation and happiness, confident they both feel the same, peace.

Shisui

- Cute. It makes him feel very tender seeing how (Y/N) goes out of her way for him, and at some point, Shisui abuses it. He loves asking her for things just because he knows she'll run to fulfill his request, how she'll do the impossible to please him, and won't question anything he says. At some point, it seems dangerous, but as long as it's with him, he will protect the girl's good intentions and have fun receiving her undivided attention.

Itachi

- Genuinely, he feels sorry for her. He doesn't understand what must have happened in (Y/N)'s life for her to feel she has to surrender to a man's feet, serve and not question him in order to win his love, but he can't accept it. Itachi wants her to be independent, not to feel she must absolutely devote herself to get his attention and run around after him. It's the opposite of what he's attracted to.

Hashirama: pretty things he saw, medicinal plants and where they grow, poisonous plants and where they grow, the crossover between medicinal and poisonous plants, vague ideas for political moves mostly discarded for drawings of animals (bad) and drawings of plants (much better), forbidden jutsu created by mito and/or tobirama

If Fugaku, Shisui, Izuna, Madara, Itachi, Sasuke and Obito ever teamed up, it's all over. The world is getting bent by the Uchihas at that point.

Like what are they going to do? We have one guy on par with Naruto, a man that can make Kurama his bitch, 2 Genjutsu masters, a man that wipped his ass with 5 Kage, a man of when he was 12 was throwing hands with Minato and Izuna who has the Mangekyou Sharingan. Not to mention, two of them were the Ten Tails Jinchuriki.

not really cuz i don't like modern aus in general but in my own self-serving au madara is an archaeologist turned ufologist/fringe theorist and tobirama is on a chemistry ph.d path who works as a teacher/TA and they both have horrible disagreements a la skepticism. hashirama is the mayor who runs on a pro-weed platform and izuna is a chiropractor who got into the practice after nearly dying in a car wreck

Small ficlet

Hashirama with a serious face, intone. " We are now commencing the first InterClan Meeting. Tobirama, why are you standing up?. Take a seat, quickly!. "

Tobirama wryly answered, " As you can see Anija. There are no available seat for me to sit on. "

Hashirama frantically looked around and indeed there's no available seat left for his brother to sit on.

But before Hashirama could make a chair for his brother; Izuna gleefully pipes up. " Nii-san would love to share his seat with you, Senju!. " Tobirama stared at Madara who was sprawled on his seat and was mockingly gesturing for Tobirama to seat on his lap.

The Albino narrowed his eyes in anger, if the Uchiha Brothers think they could humiliate him in front of the other Clan Heads they had another thing coming!.

With his head raised arrogantly, Tobirama marched towards the shocked Uchiha Clan Head and upon arriving immediately plop himself on the man's lap. He smirked in satisfaction as he heard Madara’s pained inhalation.

Serves the bastard right.

He could see the other Clan Heads, Izuna and his Brother eyeing him and Madara amusedly but he wasn't the Senju Demon for nothing. Their amusement would not deter him from doing his duty regardless of his personal feelings.

As soon as he relaxes on his seat Tobirama stiffen in surprise as he felt something hard poking his bottom. Turning his head to stare at the Uchiha Clan Head he snap at Madara in anger. " Get the fuck out that Kunai in your pocket, Uchiha!. I refuse to remain seated in your lap if its making me uncomfortable!. "

Madara with a furious blush on his face wheezes back at Tobirama. " I…don't have any pockets, Tobirama. "

Awkward silence ensued at Madara's admission.

Izuna slowly covered his face in embarassment. Hashirama looked wide eyed at his best friend and Otouto. The other Clan Heads looked on with various looks of amusement and grimaces.

Meanwhile, Tobirama was left confused at what was Madara talking about.

" Then, what the hell is poking my bottom then, Uchiha?!. " Tobirama scowled as the Uchiha Clan Head looked away and mumbled something.

" Oh for Sage sake!. That's his fucking dick that's poking you, Senju-san. " the Matriach of the Inuzuka Clan howled in her seat.

Tobirama; feeling mortified and embarrassed had quickly jumped out of Madara's lap and with his face burning in humiliation had disapperead using Hiraishin.

Madara in an attempt to regain his composure had stood up and glared furiosuly at the still cackling Inuzuka Clan Head. He carefully avoided Izuna and Hashirama's eyes as he leapt for nearest window.

" I'll attend the next Clan Meeting when Tobirama decides to come back. " he declared to all of the members with an arrogant sniff. He vanished using a Shūnshin and no one had the gall to stop him from leaving.

The second Madara vanished; the other Clan Heads tittered like school children excitedly talking amongst themselves.

Hashirama then turn to Izuna. " Soooo... since when did Madara has a crush with my Otouto, Izuna-san? "

Izuna nonchalantly clean his nails with his shuriken. " Hmm..I dunno maybe since we built the village? "

Hashirama gaped. " That long?. Poor Madara. " he wince. " Tobi probably hasn't known about his interest. That's how oblivious he is, when it comes to someone being attracted to him. "

Izuna shrugged, " I asked Aniki if he wanted help. But the dumbass doesn't want any so I just watched from the sidelines as he failed repeatedly in courting Tobi. "

Hashirama sweatdrop. " Maybe now Tobi finally realizes Madara's intentions? "

Izuna snorted mockingly, " One can only hope. With how dumb your brother is. I guess it would at least take a year before he realises Madara's after his ass ( in a romantic sense of course ). "

Hashirama wrinkled his nose at that remark. " Never mention my brother's posterior again, Izuna-san. I do not need that information. "

Izuna cackled. " But Hokage-sama. When Aniki finally convinced Tobi to go out with him. You'll probably catch them fucking everywhere with how insatiable Aniki is when it comes to sex!. Poor Tobi. I hope he can survive Aniki's unlimited libido...."

Hashirama paled at that information. " Too much information, Izuna-san. "

The younger Uchiha tapped a finger on his chin. " Say, Hokage-sama. I'll give you a heads up when they started dating and also start fucking wherever and whenever they liked...as long as I get to have vacations whenever I want. And oh, I'll get the missions to kill the Nobles from the Capital, first? "

Hashirama rose a brow. " Alright, I don't want to know who pissed you off from the Capital and yes, we have a deal Izuna-san. "

Izuna jumped up from his seat excitedly and shook hands with his amused Hokage. " Good. I'mma take up that vacation right away because I felt Madara and Tobirama entering the Main House right this second and I don't want to witness them going at it. "

Hashirama whistled, impressed. " Damn. Madara sure work fast, huh? "

Izuna shrugged. " Probably Aniki thinking to himself. Desperate times calls for desperate measures. "

Hashirama miraculously pulled out a vacation form out of nowhere all neatly sign in and gave it to Izuna.

" Just make sure you'll be back after three days. Madara will probably tear the entirety of Konoha if you're no where to be found. " he sternly commanded the younger Uchiha.

Izuna saluted and winks. " Thanks to Tobi teaching me Hiraishin. I'll probably be back tommorow late evening. " and then he vanished leaving a trail of blue light.

Hashirama sat shocked stupid at the thought of his Otouto teaching Izuna his Hiraishin.

A second later his jealous wails echoed around the Hokage Tower, loudly.

" NOT FAIR!. WHY DOES IZUNA GET TO LEARN TOBI'S TECHNIQUE AND NOT ME! "

The other Clan Heads were forced to console their wailing Hokage without knowing what to do to make him stop crying.

Naruto’s Cultural and Mythological References

Someone asked me to put all the mythological references in Naruto in one post so they could easily find them. Most of these posts were written by me, but a couple were written by others. I’ll edit this to add more links later.

Sasuke

Amaterasu’s powers are a reference to Agni’s divine weapon.

The symbolism of rain and storms in Sasuke’s character are references to Indra the god of lightning, storms and rain.

Sasuke is Izanagi the god of creation and Itachi is Izanami the goddess of the dead.

Sasuke’s ocular powers, Kagutsuchi, Susanoo and Amateratsu are refrences to the three faces of Agni.

Sasuke stabbing Orochimaru with lighting is a reference to Indra killing the evil serpent Vritra with a thuderbolt.

The fight between Sasuke and Danzo over Itachi’s death mirrors the conflict between Susanoo and Izanagi over Izanami’s death.

Madara and Izuna

Infinite Tsukuyomi and Indra being a god of māyā.

Madara is a foil to Hoderi the god of the bountry of the sea and Konoha was named after Konohanasakuya-hime, the goddess of cherry bloosoms and the fragility of human life.

Madara and the God Tree are references to Indra and the Kalpavriksha, the wish-granting divine tree of life.

Madara was named after Madarakishin the demon god of dancing, entretainment, performance arts and outcasts. Izuna was named after Izunagongen the god of victory and controlling fox spirits to cause disasters.

Madarakishin the dream god.

Possible names for Madara and Izuna’s late siblings and why Izuna is the third son.

Hashirama and Tobirama

Hashirama is a foil to Hoori the god of grains and harvests. Tobirama plays the same role as Hosuseri and is a central or buffer point for opposing forces.

Tobirama and the Edo Tensei are references to Izanagi’s descent to the underworld.

Tobirama is named after the door’s tree, which is used as a talisman to stop evils spirits from getting inside the house.

Itachi

(The post is tagged with the pro and anti Itachi tags because he has both positive and negative mythological references.)

Amaterasu’s capabilities are a reference to Agni’s Astra and Izanami to Manu’s Astra.

Sasuke is Izanagi the god of creation and Itachi is Izanami the goddess of the dead.

The Land of the Rice Fields is named after Inadahime, the goddess Susanoo saved from Yamata no Orochi.

The fight between Sasuke and Danzo over Itachi’s death mirrors the conflict between Susanoo and Izanagi over Izanami’s death.

Neji

The symbolism of Neji’s sauwastika and how he represents the Taoist phiolosophy of living in harmony with the natural order of the universe.

100% agreed on the whole way naruto shippers clearly do not actually care about or like madara and sasuke. for example fucking sasusaku shippers clearly do not notice or care about how sasuke is miserable fighting for some village that ruined his life and that no one knows the truth about the uchiha massacre they just see him as some strong skinny twink bishie boi who is only nice to their precious self insert sakura they see him as a thing for sakura. don't even get me started on fucking tobirama x madara or the toxic tobirama stans in general, i have seen horrific shit of madara being violently raped by tobirama on ao3 as a punishment of his crime for "being an uchiha who hasn't been humbled". the sad thing is that i have seen crossover romance shipping fanfic that actually respects both madara and sasuke as characters (making sure they ain't OOC or stripped of their nuance/personality) and they have more chemistry with characters from different anime/manga series. both madara and sasuke deserve better from this damn fandom than just being hashirama and naruto's cute little waifus who constantly get kidnapped like Princess Peach and get pregnant with uchiha babies like a fucking Uchiha baby factory.

So real!!! I think one of the reasons why this happens sometimes is because a lot of naruto fans/shippers are very pro konoha, so anything that Madara or Sasuke do is instantly a crime against humanity to them, so in order to make their ship work they have to take their morals and issues away from Madara and Sasuke, so they "aren't evil" anymore.

Also, that last part about t*birama/madara is so true. I mean, aside the fact that Madara would never be able to forgive him for killing Izuna, Tobirama also just had zero respect for him as a person. Tobirama felt no empathy for the Uchiha, and to pretend that he would set that aside for Madara is just insane to me. It's fine as a crack ship or if you write it to be intentionally toxic (which can be fun sometimes), but just taking away all the nuance these two characters have to make them fuck??? why?? Like, with hsmd I atleast understand where people are coming from, childhood friends trope and all, but what is the appeal of tobimada? No one who actually likes Madara would be able to ship tobimada, and no one who actually likes Sasuke would be able to ship sasusaku.

Madara and Sasuke definitely deserved sooo much better, they deserved loving people who actually respected them and their dreams (and no hsrm did not respect mdr's dreams while he was still in the village let's not play pretend).

So, I may be going completely off canon from how Izuna really was, but im taking liberties😫!

For the beginning of Part 1, I headcanon him to be like a feral kitten. He's baring his fangs, angry at the world, and hissing at anyone that gets close. But once he warms up, he's a pretty cool guy. He is still somewhat quiet but much warmer and kinder than he initially portrays himself to be.

Here are some lil facts about him under the cut tho

Has four older brothers. All of them, except for Madara, were killed in the conflict with the Senju. He doesn't know that three of them are dead 🥴🥴

Explains why Madara is so desperate to get him back.

Is an Aquarius (his birthday is one day before mine which is fucking wild 🥴🥴🥴)

Loves plants and gardening. He finds that it centers him and gives him a chance to be self reflect and be to himself.

Hates the smell of raw fish, makes him nauseous 🤢

Is SUPER SOFT for small animals. Him finding an injured snake hatchling and nursing it back to health? Totally a thing. Mending a bird's broken wing? He's doing it, and you can't stop him!

Is afraid of tight and small spaces. This will cause him to have a panic attack.

Also is afraid of being alone. The first few months in Kiragkure are HARD 💔💔

Has a thing for badgers. Will give badger facts and get SUPER excited if MC shows an interest. 🦡🦡🦡

Is completely devoted to surpassing his brother in strength getting back to his family. He's nothing without them.

Learned swordsmanship at the age of 6, became a pro at 11.
