Four Months After the Universe Unfroze:

Hello and welcome to the Hermitcraft Recap! My name is Pixlriffs, our writer is ZloyXP, and the subtitles are done by Lyarrah. Except - this isn’t a Hermitcraft Recap. No, this video is a bit different.

We here at the Recap have known the Hermits a very long time. They’re not just the Players we Watch, they’re our friends. And so, it is with a heavy heart I must announce that some have gone missing, and for the first time we are asking for all the help we can get in finding them again. None of these people have been seen since the explosive ending of Hermitcraft season eight.

As you may also know, when Hermits have disappeared in the past some of my peers on Empires - other Emperors - have also disappeared. I know we are strictly a Hermitcraft Recap, not an Empires Recap - that would get far too politically convoluted for myself, for starters - this is once again the case and I must call upon you, our audience, for help.

However, both the number of Hermits and Emperors that have disappeared is much smaller than the previous two times, so we cannot guarantee the disappearances are connected. The Hermits that have gone missing are: Falsesymmetry, GoodTimesWithScar, Grian, ImpulseSV, MumboJumbo, Guardian PearlescentMoon of Gilded Helianthia, Ranboo and ZombieCleo. The Codfather, Jimmy Solidarity of the Codlands, the closest and oldest ally to my own kingdom, has also disappeared.

All of the other Hermits have been accounted for since Season 8’s end. In the unlikely event that you have found any of the people I have listed, please do not hesitate in contacting either myself or any of the crew here at the Recap, your Emperor, a local authority like the Mayor of a major server, or XisumaVoid.

And it’s unlikely, but if any of the missing Hermits see this video, please. Use any method you can to contact us.

That’s about it for this Recap. We will try and keep you updated, but we are the Hermitcraft Recap and the Hermits have already decided Season 9 will not go ahead until we can confirm the whereabouts of the missing Hermits. Even if they did, with two Emperors missing and a third recovering from the Moonfall, There’s a very good chance I would be too busy to voice a weekly show, anyway.

Hi all, there’s been no news on the missing Hermits and Codfather yet. However, you might have heard something about all portals to the DreamSMP closing up. The last time this happened, Ranboo had recently joined the Hermits. It may mean nothing, but we said we’d update, so we’re updating.

That’s all. Again, please do not hesitate to speak to a Hermit, Emperor, or local authorities if you think you see someone. Reminder, we are looking for False, Scar, Grian, Impulse, Mumbo, Pearl, Ranboo, Cleo, and Codfather Jimmy. There’s also unconfirmed reports that Martyn InTheLittleWood has also gone missing; although he’s a known nomad, he has disappeared when Hermits have in the past. Images of all these Players can be found below.

Good news!

False and her eagle have been found after a year of flying around the cosmos, and she brought news from Space around the DreamSMP. Apparently, it’s not just the portals - she was unable to even approach entering orbit, let alone landing. She described it as lag, or a chunk error, but for the whole planet. It’s a worrying development, but all the information we can gather is invaluable.

False touched down in the Crystal Cliffs to pick up Gem the other day, who has newfound determination to find her fellow Hermits and Emperors. We can only hope that the combined magical force of the Grand Wizard, and the sharpest minds of Hermitcraft can work together to locate the others.

I hate that I can't force things to happen.

I think it's another lie from hustle culture/girlboss culture that you're supposed to be able to do all the things even when you're ill, but you literally cannot force things to happen if they don't want to.

For instance, I'm dying to write. I have Man! I Feel Like a Human ideas, I want a holiday Quaint City story to come to fruition and three months ago I planned a Sherlock Holmes series that I want done. I'd also love to do some sewing and make some YouTube videos.

But I can't. I've been too tired lately. And this week, with the show and all, I ended up getting a nasty sinus infection and doing four or five shows plus tech while being ill. I splurged on a hotel room near the theater this week so I could try to get some stuff done... and I've slept the entire day. My body was just like, "You know what, fuck you" and down it went.

I'm sitting in front of my laptop like, "I have an hour before the next show, I can at least plot something" and I've just been blanking and listening to the lo-fi music that I have up on YouTube and sipping coffee. Shitty Coffee.

It's like, I know that I need rest but there's this pressure to DO ALL THE THINGS and if you're not successful it's because you didn't want it enough and I'm just infuriated at myself because I want to allow myself to rest, especially since I'm about to head over to the theater during a storm warning, but I also just want my stories to be available and liked and read. I hate it. I hate it I hate it I hate it.

!! I HAVE NONE OF THE STUFF OR EXPERIENCE !!

So I'm working on/wanting to make the Poltergust 5000 from Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, which has been one of my favorite games ever since I first got it in 2013 or 2014. (Having favorite status does not make it immune to me forgetting about its existence for months at a time. No, I have not finished this game.)

My original plan was to use one of those toy or real vacuums that everyone else uses, however there are a few problems with that.

1, I am a fursuit handler and general handler/costume help in my group of friends. So I would be really impractical for me to have a big thing on my back and 2+ other bags on me. So it needs to be able to open to store stuff.

2, The vacuums tend to be really small and really uncomfortable, and I have major sensory issues, especially with my back, so that just wouldn't do.

So I talked to this guy I met yesterday at work, while we were waiting on a task to do, and he suggested those bubble cat backpack things. I got super excited because that would work perfectly!! It's big and comfortable enough, and I can hold mine and my friends' stuff while we're walking around!!

So I ordered a gray one. The plan is to paint the clear part red and then figure something out for the button panel and vacuum hose. I want the hose to be detachable for easy storing, repair, and so I can use the bag without it.

So, my first thought was cutting a hole for the hose and putting a thing that the hose can connect to in its place. I'm not exactly sure how that would work, so I'm getting a second opinion on that. My other thought is gluing the attachment piece onto the acrylic itself, so I don't have to deal with cutting it.

There's also magnets, but I'm not sure if that would work.. or if I'll be able to get my hands on some that are strong enough.

That leaves the button panel, the hose itself, the wheels, and the actual flashlight/vacuum head.

From the cosplay crafting videos I've watched, using a black vacuum hose with cut-up pvc pipe works best. Or is at least what they all use. So I might follow their lead on that one. I'm gonna talk to my dad about all this to see if he has any thoughts. He's not a cosplay guy, but he has a garage with tools, so..

I have no ideas for everything else.. And unfortunately, I'm incredibly picky with a mile long list of things I don't like(over-exaggerating). I don't want to do the big big buttom that I've seen. I'm not a fan of it.. I don't know what else I could do, though. I have a short time frame and a small budget.

Oh!! Another thing!! I want to find a way to attach the vacuum head to the bag body so I can go hands-free from time to time. Like while I'm eating or guiding people or something.

If anyone who sees this has any ideas, I'd love to hear them because this is my first time doing any of this. That being said, I will be updating on the progress of the Poltergust 5000.

I had to fight with Amazon to order it, so my mom did for me, so I'm not sure when the bag is getting here, but some other stuff is arriving tomorrow, so hopefully then as well!!

jolene walsh   (   1st row,   left   )   :   based on the song jolene but dolly parton but a much more anti-villlainized version of the song.   jolene is your classic dream girl,  the star of every romantic comedy you could think of.   a vet student,  who charms everyone with her heart of gold and hopeless romantic antics.   with a terrible tendency to grab a bottle when things go south,  she’s made decisions she regrets:  such as sleeping with a man who she hadn’t realized was married until after the fact.   always striving to put a smile on everyone’s face,  she’s a bundle of joy and sunshine personified.

luciana pereira   (   1st row,   middle   )   :   inspired by the novel seven husbands of evelyn hugo,  the oa,  and the treatment of poc in hollywood.  luciana is a girl with a dream,  and a rising starlet who had to forego her identity as a bold brazilian woman to fit into what hollywood wanted her to be.   known as lucy,  an attempt to make her name more hollywood friendly,  she often got shafted for cliche side roles.   just as her fame had begun to climb,  she finds herself the victim of tragedy.   and for seven minutes,  luciana is pronounced dead.   however,  a freak phenomenon brings her back to life,  but she finds herself not whole.   luciana can now see the dead,  and the hollywood’s elegant sweetheart’s sanity begins to spiral.

riddhi chauhan   (   1st row,   right   )   :   it seems like she’s destined for a life of horror and shock.   when riddhi’s parents separate,  her mother’s mental health declines.   it declines to the point that riddhi is taken under the wing of her aunt and when all seems like it’s beginning to go well,   she receives the shock of her life.   riddhi’s mother has been arrested and charged with first degree murder for the murder of her ex husbands new family.   what riddhi doesn’t know is her mother’s sudden snap and murder of her father’s newly built family comes from the persistent brainwashing of a religious cult for women who believed it was their right to rid the world of sinners,  specifically adulterers and men who had wronged their partners.   when her father leaves her a cryptic note left by her mother,  riddhi finds herself elbow deep in solving a mystery she doesn’t know runs deeper than she could’ve imagined      

niran sitwat (som)   (   2nd row,   left   )   :   som was a boy that grew up with little answers to his many questions and the strange occurrences that happened around him.   time seemed to move differently around him and with it came lapses of seeming memory loss.   the doctors couldn’t explain it and neither could his parents.   their lives continue on like any dysfunctional family,  an obedient child with a bit of a rowdy streak raised by parents whose marriage was seconds away from falling apart.   it all does fall apart when som’s mother goes missing.   the police were no help in their search,  and over the years som and his father’s relationship grew more strained.   it’s the street fights that som often got into that changed his life entirely.   he’s recruited by a secret organization at seventeen.   an organization that explains that he has supernatural abilities that allow him to manipulate time.  they offer him a job and he easily falls into his role in recruiting other super powered individuals and keeping an eye on their activities 

camila reyes   (   2nd row,   middle   )   :   part of an affiliated 90s friend group.   camila grows up in a bustling house,  constantly surrounded by her multi generational household.   aunts,  uncles,  grandparents swarming around her.   it’s what makes her so adept at conversation and what accounts for her chatterbox personality.   when she scores herself a scholarship that forces her to move away from home,   she’s heartbroken.   it hurts her to leave her family,  but with new adventures in mind,  she takes it on with a positive outlook.   it’s during orientation that she meets her group of friends,  and they affectionately get nicknamed “the circus” due to their goofy and silly attitudes.   a strange bunch of friends,  but ones she cares dearly about.  as an environmental science major,  she’s quick to spew out random facts about any particularly colourful piece of nature around her.   easily excited and easily distracted,  she’s a bundle of energy in a small packet.   always ready for anything that sounds like it’ll be fun,  and unable to keep her mouth shut for an extended period of time

buster ashton jones   (   2nd row,   right   )   : �� he grows up with a silver spoon in his mouth,  the youngest of two other brothers.   with pockets loaded with his parents money,  he coasts through life for the most part and has little worries on his mind.   when his brother’s eventually move out of the house,  his parents’ attention finally turns to their youngest whose aspirations lay only in streaming his inability to game.   they force him to kick himself in gear during his last year of highschool and he reluctantly enrolls in political science in university.   all for the sake of working in the fbi and being able to access the top secrets of area 51.   with nothing but conspiracies in his mind,  he’s the epitome of head empty and just vibes.   a terrible gamer who thinks his twitch channel is only seconds away from blowing up,   a boy with big and highly unrealistic dreams,  and a terrible flirt who believes he has mad game.   when i say this muse is a whole meme,  i’m telling you.... he is.   basic background,  but head empty himbo vibes 

zahra hosseini   (   3rd row,   left   )   :   zahra grows up a nosy little girl in a big family,  and it’s only natural that she knows everything that goes on around her.  she informally becomes the keeper of secrets in both her family and her friend group,  somehow always able to get the juiciest scoop.  her curiosity grows and grows as does she,  and she begins her highschool’s newspaper club.   it’s in highschool that tragedy strikes in their town,  and the case of a slasher killer in her hometown shakes them to the core.   however,  always too curious for her own good,  zahra begins to dig into the case herself.   sooner than later,  she has more information than the police have been able to find,  and she presents them with an opportunity to lure the killer out.   an incompetent police station agrees to her plan,  and zahra is used as bait.   thankfully,  her plan is a success and they catch the monster before any harm to come to her,  but the trauma is something she swallows and stifles quickly in order to continue her life as it was.   she writes an article about her time as bait and the killer’s arrest and it goes viral.  this helps ease her enrollment into journalism in university and is the stepping stone to her career as a journalist.   always on the move,  she’s known as the woman who will go to any length to get her story

renata de leon   (   3rd row,   middle   )   :   renata is the only child of a wealthy couple who had struggled to conceive for years.   although overjoyed,  her parents soon realize that juggling successful businesses and a child is more work than they had expected.   it leads to renata being left alone with nannies and other staff in their large house for most of her years.   she’s enrolled in the best private schools,  and she does well enough to satisfy her parents.   her parents expectations for her are high and the more pressure that’s put on her shoulders,  the less she wants to do.   her parents soon realize that although her studies are going well,  renata particularly excelled and enjoyed sports.   so they get her on every team they can think of,  and slowly even that begins to feel like a chore for the otherwise active girl.   she does what she can for her parents,  and thinks she’s finally free from their whims when she begins university.   but before long,  her parents have her paired with a fencing instructor and renata realizes that she is in fact absolute shit at fencing.   and she loves it.   for once her parents expectations aren’t sky high and she can take it slow.    idk what to say,  but ren’s a very idgaf muse,  very dry,  kind of bratty,  and yeah 

valquiria frietas   (   3rd row,   right   )   :   nah bro i wrote such a long ass bio for her i’m too lazy to write more now.   but essentially she’s basically the personification of pestilence one of the four horsemen of death.   she’s a really old witch who’s been cursed alongside her other three friends,  and kicked out of their coven for enacting revenge and decimating a whole town during the salem witch trials.   after a long spree of vengeance the witches have settled in a small town and opened up an apothecary as they wait for the effects of their curse to dwindle over the years again.   val is too old to care about mortals,  but finds them entertaining for sure.   always up for a little mischief and trouble,  can’t seem to shake the desire to get her witching on
