thinkign about my f/os helping me deal w my disorders n stuff makes me feel better.... my brain tries to shut me down sometimes and be like "Thats stupid" but Who Cares .

there's some thjngs it can't help, no matter how much i want to i still can't speak properly in public or even at all to strangers, but just imagining my f/os are near me & talking / helping me through my avpd has made me go from having anixety attacks just standing in my backyard to being able to go inside grocery stores and actually shop even while crowded like.... that is so awesome sauce...

i never in my life though i'd be able to do that again, for a time i didn't think i'd ever be able to go outside at all again, but selfshipping is awesome and i am mentally ill and i think the former is very helpful & epic when you're the latter but that might just be mmy pov though

how and why is there discourse about whether or not certain queer identities exist/if people should be allowed(???) to use them. why is "people know their own identity better than you ever could, and they're the only one who get a say on what they are" such a tough concept to grasp

i think if you find yourself offended by the label someone uses (especially if they're a stranger) or think it invalidates your own, it's a good idea to look inside yourself and question why that may be. more often than not, it's a result of insecurity or uncertainty of your own identity (or many other things, but i won't make a whole list here). whatever reason it is, until you resolve it, you shouldn't take it out on people for having an identity you don't understand

many have said it before but it's worth saying over and over. infighting only helps our oppressors. conservatives don't care if you're a cis gay or a xenogender aegosexual aplatonic lesbian, they hate all of us either way. trying to fit in by going for people who are easier targets for them isn't gonna help you, it'll just alienate you from your own community, and you're never gonna please them. the momentary rush you get from hearing you're not like "one of /those/ gay people" is not worth it and is gonna do more harm in the long run, i assure you

also, it is important to me to say this, but having some less than nice kneejerk reaction caused by confusion about an identity you don't understand doesn't mean you're a bad person or anything. as long as you aren't mean to that person, and you take a second to think smth along the lines of "wait a minute, this isn't any of my business" after having said reaction, you're good 👍 a lot of reflexive reactions we have to things are ingrained into us simply by. well. living in a society 🤡 and you're not terrible for having those thoughts. it's your actions that matter, and your second thought (the "wait, why did i just think that?") is more defining of your actual character and morals than your reflex. i know that having thoughts like this, even tho they're unwanted, can very easily make one spiral, so it's important to me that whoever needs to hear this knows this doesn't make you a bad person 🙏 you're good, keep taking actions to be good, accept other people even if you don't understand them, and you're on the right track :)

I luckily haven't been subjected to this brand of fan with my own eyes in a while, but it's hilarious to me how many IDW Megatron fans there are that hate the shit out of IDW Optimus (or any Megatron/Optimus in general) especially when they themselves are MegOP shippers. Like they'll be like "errrrmmmm Optimus is a cop fuck him he's literally evil" babe your fave is a literal dictator and a colonizer who didn't even treat his own Decepticons respectfully but IDW OP being a cop is so unforgivable? Or are we selectively applying the standard of "this is bad IRL therefore any fictional character who is X is also bad"? Megatron said he was sorry and regrets what he did but I guess you didn't read the parts where Optimus was also sorry/had regrets for what he did so that means it doesn't exist?

That or they do some crazy ass mental gymnastics to be all like "oh uh ermmm Optimus is evil because he said something mean to someone and punched them [casually fails to mention or explain the context at all]" but then with Megatron they'll turn around and be like "here's how Megatron colonizing planets was actually just him doing what needed to be done to ensure the survival of his race, also when Megatron becomes an Autobot here's how the people on the Lost Light are actually oppressing him for telling him to stop being a fucking asshole" [paraphrased versions of takes I have seen with my literal own eyes]. Like idk I feel like it's only-reads-MTMTE syndrome striking again or something? People probably don't read enough about Optimus to know the context of what he did AND they're laboring under the MTMTE illusion that Megatron was only kind of a bastard but was really good at heart, so in combination they just decide to be absolutely unhinged and say shit that isn't remotely true? Idk

Like damn you people are weak and your takes are trash. If you're gonna defend or hate a character at least do so based on accurate information from canon instead of making up weak bullshit on how Optimus sneezing on someone by accident makes the Autobots evil incarnate and how Megatron doing unspeakable crimes was just a little oopsie/him doing what had to be done. but god its just so hard these days to get to that mindset where it feels like the effort it takes to proofread and edit stuff and mark them properly and tag for ao3 etc. for just posting is worth it

like genuinely why do i try to share anything when nobody is actually interested in it anymore? like does. does anyone actually read anything i post anymore?

its so easy to be like "oh just write for yourself and that one friend" which. i already do, thats literally why i keep going but barely post anything. at this point its just for me and them. which sure, should be enough, but i just. considering the amount of time and effort and me genuinely wanting to think im making some of my best work ever i do want to share it. but also wow its not worth it anymore

i dont know if online just really fucking sucks for fanfiction these days, if my rarepairs have finally bored people out of their minds and they dont want to humor me anymore, or am i delusional and actually genuinely suck? like i dont know anymore. im trying to push past it but wow its hard and it fucking sucks to think

just updated the pinned post with a disclaimer because I feel like it’s important to say that I’m not an expert on this stuff and none of my posts are really meant to advise so much as they’re meant to tell my story and put thoughts out into the world that maybe you relate to but don’t have anywhere to talk about. Like I know I’m not the healthiest person and some of the stuff I say ends up not making a ton of sense. In fact some of the stuff I say in hindsight can be sort of the opposite of helpful. but I’m just trying to be authentic and talk about my experiences, which I think mirror experiences that a lot of people have but find difficult to discuss. I hope if you’re following you don’t feel any sort of pressure to be like me in ways you’re not, but you do feel seen and feel able to commiserate about the experiences and emotions we do share

Even a person whose blog "consists entirely of porn gifs" is a person who exists in "the real world" and is capable of understanding "real-world problems." The idea of the "porn-addicted shut-in" has become increasingly weaponized against gay and trans leftists, but even if it wasn't, you should still be able to debate conservatives without falling back on "well YOU like hentai like some kind of degenerate. Curious". In exactly the same way as I talk about "fandom blogs", you need to understand that everyone online is a person with just as rich of an inner life as you have, and if you're going to raise political, ideological, or even ethical complaints against a person, you better have something to back it up besides "lol you like hentai" or "lol you like The Magnus Archives" or whatever the hell else. "I automatically disregard the opinion of someone with a porn blog because I consider their viewpoint unworthy of further analysis" actually displays the hollowness of YOUR opinions.
