okay but.. a quiet gamer boy bf kaneki that loves when his pretty girl bottoms herself out as he’s in the middle of a game. <3
you love kaneki, & you can accept that he has a love & passion for video games too but.. how does he expect you NOT to wanna sit on him when he looks so damn handsome all the time?!
he’s sat in that gaming chair with a baggy tee & a pair of grey sweats. he’ll even be wearing a pair of blue light glasses so that the constant gaming doesn’t do too much damage to his irises. nd he just looks so good with this combination!! ugh. it’s not even fair.
on this particular day, he’s playing fortnite with touka & hide after not touching that game for a couple of seasons. he’s giving call outs, talkin’ bout’ “116 to the body” “he’s 1 shot” “full pieced, knocked.. he’s dead now. where’s his boyfriend?” “flanking behind us” & just a whole bunch of shit that you didn’t care to try & understand..
you’re a little frustrated, to be honest. you had a long day at work nd you just wanna be all up under him. especially now that he’s on the game with some girl he used to have a fling with..?
“ken..”
“kennnn..!”
upon hearing that, he moves his headset behind his ear with a push of his shoulder & gives you a soft hum.
“when’re you getting off?”
“oh.. i don’t know, baby. probably not for another hour or so”
“another hour or so..??”
“yeah. what’s wrong?”
you don’t even bother answering. he shrugs his headset back on & continues to clack away at his keyboard. you’ve already made your way over to him, nd you watch him play for a little before you lift his arm & saddle yourself on to his lap. you’re thankful that he isn’t streaming today.
you begin to peck sloppy little kisses on to his neck, not really caring if it’s loud or not.. you’re kinda hoping it is, though :3. kaneki lifts his head a bit to give you more access. his pale skin is still displaying the hickies you had left just a couple nights ago nd you giggle a little bit at this. they look soso pretty on him!
a couple seconds pass by & you’re just slyly rolling your hips down on him. he knows exactly what you want out of him & he’s not gonna deny you from it. you slide yourself off his lap, now on your knees in between his legs & you take hold of the hem of his briefs & sweats before pulling them down to his lower thighs. it’s no surprise that ken his already hard.
you can’t blame him! he’s got a hot gf damn near humping him in his chair, what man wouldn’t be turned on?! i digress.
you take him in your hand & lick all the way from the base to the tip, you can feel him tense up & relax afterwards. you spit in your hand to act as lube nd stroke his dick a couple times before fully sticking him in your mouth. you’re left jerking whatever else doesn’t fit & you hear his breathing get heavier.
there’s a lewd gluck gluck (i’m so sorry 😭) coming from you as things get sloppier by the second. kaneki was now fully hitting the back of your throat, not really caring if it was difficult for you to handle or not..
touka & hide are noticing him paying less attention & his gameplay getting a bit more careless. i mean right now his character was on auto-run, & he had your hair in a makeshift ponytail as he fucked your poor throat! :(
“kaneki! they’re on the mountain building up.. there’s 20 left. focus up”
“fuck bro. i’m down.. he’s at least 5 bullets tho- push that”
“kaneki… push, maybe?? you’re selling”
“can you both get the fuck out my ear?”
ken let’s go of your hair nd tucks it behind your ears before giving his full attention to the game once again. you don’t know what he’s doing up there but he’s going crazy on his keyboard.
you pull him from your mouth with a lil “pop” sound nd climb back into his lap. you pull your panties to the side nd fully sit on his dick.. this man leaves you so full OMGG.
kaneki brings his attention to you for a brief moment to give you a quick couple of pecks, nd then he’s back to the game. you wrap your arms around his neck & use them as leverage to lift yourself up & down on his lap. the chair is making a bit of noise nd ken’s friends are now overly suspicious..
“the fuck is going on over there?”
“mind your business.”
touka rolls her eyes at his response to hide. she’s already knowing what’s going on nd she’s not too happy about it. you did kinda steal kaneki’s attention from her when they were talking. boohoo, so sad. you were just better!
you were getting a lil tired from bouncing up & down, so you began rolling your hips. ken doesn’t feel much pleasure from this but he knows how good it feels for you, he’s happy to let you use him.
“we have circle. camp this hill nd stay on high ground”
kaneki mutes his mic before he wraps his arms around you & snaps his hips up into you.
“ken- oh my god!”
“couldn’t wait till’ i got off, hm?”
“i couldn’t, i really couldn’t..”
you didn’t answer so his hips came to a full halt & you whined, like a puppy. “i asked you a question, sweetheart”
“look at me”
you met his eyes nd he just smiled, “you’re so pretty, holy fuck” nd he started fucking you again, no warning!
“kaneki, they’re pushing”
at this point he didn’t even care anymore. he grabbed you by your waist, carefully lifting you off his lap. ken stands up, turning you around & bending you over just to slip himself back into your cunt. he’s ruthless with the strokes too.
went from sucking to clapping sounds & his mic ain’t off no more. “can feel you in my stomach, ken”
“yeah? tell me how it feels, baby.”
“feels too good.. shit! i can’t-”
“you can, y/n. let’s finish what you started.” ken lifts your leg so that it’s resting on his desk, “ts’ too much!” you somehow felt him even deeper & it made your eyes roll back. kaneki was dying in the game, both friends collectively screaming at him over the mic.
“you can take it, i taught you better.” you’re babbling other things he doesn’t really care to comprehend. your hand reaches behind your back to push his hips away but he smacks it & tells you to ‘stop trying to run’.
he bends forward a bit to rub your clit, it all feels so good. he’s balls deep inside you nd stimulating you just right. he’s way too good at what he does. you feel a knot in your stomach & you start clenching around him, “fuck y/n”
“ken, i’m gonna-”
“not yet, angel. wait for me, please?”
you love the way he talks to you.
you’re nodding nd he picks you up to carry you over to the edge of the bed, he sits down again nd encourages you to ride him all over again.
“cmon, ‘wanna record my pretty girl” he says as he picks his phone up off the bed.
“are you gonna send it to touka..?” there’s a smile on your face & he kisses you, “course i will, she’ll never get to be in your place. you’re so perfect.. ‘s pussy was made just for me”
kaneki stretches his arm out nd records you the scene in front of him, the camera angle perfectly displays all of what’s going on; he smacks your ass just to show off too. it leaves you even more needy, “can’t keep holding it, i can’t”
“keep going baby, i’m almost there.”
you propped your feet on the bed- in a squat, bouncing even harder. “what a slut..!” ken let’s out a light laugh, he’s almost in disbelief, he’s rubbing circles on your clit again nd you practically cry from the pleasure. “fuck- go ahead baby, i’m cumming”
you let yourself come undone; there’s heavy breathing for a couple of seconds after, you’re both just trying to calm your heart rates once again.
“i love you so much kaneki, never wanna leave, i swear”
“i love you too, pretty girl. get up & show me what we did, yeah?”
“mhm!” you slowly lift yourself off of his lap & sit next to him. your legs are spread & both your juices are flowing out of your cunt.. kaneki’s slips two fingers into you & you almost close your legs on his arm, “i’m sensitive!!”
“i know baby, i know..” he’s laughing now, “cmere, i wanna kiss you. say bye to touka”
“bye bye touka!” you cheese real hard & the video ends.
“gonna run us a bath okay, my angel? i’ll come get you when it’s done!” kaneki had slid his pants back on so he could make his way to the bathroom.
after turning on the water, he sends the video to touka with a little message: “my y/n wanted you to see this :)”
sosososososo feral for this man. :(((((
(this was extremely rushed + first time kinda writing something like this in full! bare with me as i try & get better <3)

Something that doesn't get talked about enough:
As a kid Nishiki held quite peaceful views
Tumblr media
He was actually quite old when his sister died. Somewhere in his teens.
(Given that his sister a panel later makes a comment on his height like Touka does to Ayato in :re, I'm gonna guess he's 16 here)
Tumblr media
And he didn't seem to have anything against humans for that entire time?
Tumblr media
That's a great many years that he lived and was happy and nice to / about humans, before his sister's death changed him. Really wish we got to see more of him from that time.
Also I'm super interested in how he went from poor kid with likely no education (they never seemed to have moved out of that worn-down house), to being a "prodigy boy" as Itori called him, all in just a few years' time with his sister's saved money and his own hard work.

Touka, Nemu, and self-perception
Yet another TouNemu rant! Self-perception this time! Surely this CANNOT GO WRONG! Spoilers exclusively for TouNemu-related stuff in Arc 2. You will most likely be fine given that the only faction I even mention here is the Union and it’s mostly to bash them over the head with a metal chair for the crime of kicking rescue puppies. Insane ramblings beneath!
This may not seem related, but I want to start by talking about what Touka and Nemu are like as parents and why, because it's very interesting (by parents I mean with Sakurako). Touka learned the dos from her dad, and Nemu learned the don'ts from both of her parents. If you compare the parenting styles of the Satomis vs the Hiiragis, a few patterns emerge. Touka's mom we are disqualifying as per my own made up lore explanation for her absence (heart condition depression guilt spiral), but before I say anything about Nemu's mom, I'm gonna compare the two dads, because when you think about it they're a little similar!
Nemu's dad is literally a ghost. We have NEVER ONCE seen that man but we have had him mentioned multiple times. Unlike Touka who avoids mentioning her mom ever (other than the one time in her MGS’ Episode 3 and also the time Nayuta mentioned her in her quotes), Nemu does mention her dad a bunch, usually in the same context as her mom, which implies a few things that I may get into later, however the excuse/explanation given is that he's busy with work. Which if we put him next to Touka's dad is an interesting (read: terrible) excuse. Touka's dad is very busy. He's busy with politics stuff apparently, with the multiple businesses he owns (as far as I’m aware), with the hospital he's a director of. Things were probably easier when Touka was still hospitalized, yet in Arc 2 he makes time for his child, even when it's not "necessary". So what's your excuse exactly, Mr. Hiiragi?
That interesting comparison aside, Nemu's mom has entirely shaped her parenting style, perfectly on display with Sakurako. You will notice that Nemu always asks Sakurako questions. About her day, about her emotions, etc. You know. Just like she wished her mom had done for her, which Mrs. Hiiragi of course never did. What with her habit of visiting her hospitalized terminally ill child only to infodump her and leave. Nemu also cooks with Sakurako like her mom cooks with her (on occasion, when she remembers she has a daughter). Essentially, Nemu is acting with Sakurako like she wishes her mom would act with her. I need to stress the psychological impact this tier of emotional neglect has had on Nemu; once again, this is a hospitalized, terminally ill child, who has been isolated and away from home for years (presumably). But the isolation and pain of being an inpatient, likely most often in pain, not knowing if you’ll see the light of morning each time you go to sleep, and complete lack of emotional support from adults was not enough! Of course not. Instead, Nemu was parentified.
Hear me out. You may not have thought about it before, but Nemu, the people pleaser that she is, has been made to cater to and take care of the emotions of fully grown adults (her parents), and like most victims of abuse/neglect, she defends them. The poor girl desperately wants her family to love her. She assume-gaslit herself into thinking her mom handmade the socks she got for Christmas while hospitalized AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT. Nemu, sweetheart, I'm sorry, but literally nothing I've seen from your family tells me that your mother would do that. When a child forcefully matures faster than they should, it very much scars them mentally, like the physical stretch marks some of us get when we’re younger from growing too much too fast. Being forced to take care of oneself, feeling misunderstood, closing off from your peers, being parentified by the adults around you, just generally growing up before you're prepared for it… In an isolated hospital environment, Nemu and to a slightly lesser extent Touka (and to an even lesser extent Ui), had to, in some aspects, mature much faster, but were left with a complete void in terms of experience.
Children learn mainly from the experiences they have, and on that, Touka is right. They were robbed of those experiences. All three of them thus show signs of resentment issues, self-blaming issues, and "I'm a burden" issues (Touka may not have that last one, but she has other issues to make up for it). There's also just the inherently traumatizing experience of waking up in pain. Being helpless. Finding scarce enjoyment in being alive because you're so in pain all the time. The extremely scary idea that you will not know if the pain/discomfort you feel is Just Another Tuesday of living in your body or if you’re in urgent need of medical attention and should perhaps inform the doctors/nurses that something is wrong. Not knowing if something is actually wrong or not, and the habit of keeping it to yourself because you either don’t want to bother others/be a burden or you don’t want to be seen as the Boy Who Cried Wolf of the ER, can lead to absolutely terrifying situations. For example you could have a horrible kidney infection that’s almost septic and not realize it because well, you’re always in pain/uncomfortable around that area. Surely this is nothing. When you’re used to being in pain, you stop noticing it as much. Desensitization. It’s confusing and distressing to live every day in a body that is deeply and terribly sick like that, ESPECIALLY for a child.
Anyway. Back to Nemu specifically. She mentions in her quotes that although people say she doesn’t show her feelings much (or that she “lacks emotion” as NA my beloathed put it), she feels plenty in her heart. Hey… Hey wanna know why that is? Sure it’s part of the way she is by nature, but a big part of why she’s like this is—take a wild guess—her parents! Again! From her perspective as we saw in her MGS, she sees her emotions as a burden on others, particularly her family. The reason she seems emotionally distant is actually one very fun (read: sad) flavor of the people pleaser. Actually, I think I’m going to quote this post:
"Think about it. In real life, the person that's bottling up all their emotions is not the one that's brooding in the corner and snaps at you for trying to befriend them. More often than not, it's that friendly person in your circle who makes easy conversation with you, laughs with you, and listens and gives advice whenever you're upset. But you never see them upset, in fact they seem to have endless patience for you and everything around them—and so you call them their friend, you trust them. And only after months of telling them all your secrets do you realize… they've never actually told you anything about themselves."
Guess who fits the “emotionally repressed character who is mellow” type! That’s right! Our resident sad author! That’s, also why in some of my AUs I give her severe repressed anger issues but that’s beside the point. That whole post is very much just… Nemu. She separates herself so that she won’t be hurt—or at least, not as hurt as she would be if she was feeling everything in full. It's really really sad because she seeks out and buys gifts for her family, specifically learning everything they like down to their tastes (she even mentions her mom's taste in food). Just a quiiick consideration: does it seem to you like they're putting in even an ounce of the effort she's making? Because I have a feeling even Nemu must’ve realized what a lost cause it was, eventually. I can’t stop stressing how badly she wants to fit in and be a part of her family. Not to mention how badly the Arc 1 finale must have crushed her internally. In a family of athletes, with how excited she was during Arc 1 to get to Do Things in a healthy body? To lose one's legs?
Everyone leaves her behind… Well, everyone except Touka. Speaking of Nemu’s relationship with Touka! Back at the very start of things, in the hospital, I assure you that Nemu held Touka in this sort of hateful pedestal that she wanted nothing more than to rip her from, out of envy. Because Touka's dad evidently loves her, spends time with her, pays attention to her, gives her affection and Oh You Know. Everything Nemu has ever wanted. So I believe that if that relationship hadn't improved, Nemu would've grown to hate Touka, viscerally and intensely. Because simply put, she has everything Nemu wants and can never get. And when you're so isolated you have no one to talk to, especially if you're like Nemu or Touka (introverted and doesn't like talking to strangers especially about Emotions and Big Thoughts)… Coping mechanisms like writing will not get you that far if you don't have the support you need. Which leads me to MY NEXT POINT:
“If I can't be useful, I am worthless.”
Ha. Hahaha. So. I've gone on and on about just how bad an inpatient hospital environment is for a child, especially a child genius with little to no emotional support who is also terribly socialized. But I really need to talk more about the prodigy trauma. I am pretty sure more than one person reading this will be familiar with being considered "gifted" either period or only as a kid due to neurodivergence or whatever. Society is NOT nice to gifted children/geniuses. And, adults tend to praise children who show a lot of academic prowess and encourage those interests. The problem is that they often do it so much that it's everything the child ties their identity and self worth to. They also do not praise other things, as in only the highlight is ever praised, which causes even more severe tunnel vision and a more deeply rooted sense of This Is My Special Thing That I Am Good At And I Must Always Excel At It (this often leads into pretty bad perfectionism). For example, Touka's dad tells her on multiple occasions that she has to use her prodigious intellect to help others. He does this with good intentions. HOWEVER let's just say that may not have processed quite like he expected.
Let me try to go layer by layer with this. I'll use Touka because she's the more "traditional" type of genius (the STEM kind). I know that in private circles I have joked about her having a budding praise kink because of how she reacts to being called smart BUT it's actually at least mildly concerning that she completely changes her tune on something when praised, and she's only ever praised on her intelligence. That is what makes her her. It's what makes her special and unique. Touka has a superiority complex and an inferiority complex simultaneously which I will elaborate on at some point, but her dad has also sooort of tried to drill noblesse oblige into her. By the way she speaks (the astronomy class presentation in her MGS Episode 3, her line about Nemu's writing in Nemu's MGS Episode 3, that one damn scene in Arc 2 Chapter 5)… she sees the world entirely in terms of giving and taking and stealing. And that's, not hugely healthy, for starters, but then! Arc 1 happens. And I already talked about what Arc 1 did to both Touka "Maskwearer" Satomi and Nemu "People Pleaser" Hiiragi (their mental health is so good! /s), I have one essay for each of those. But I don't think I've ever discussed what happened in their heads after Arc 1. Because arguably, that was worse. I have another essay about the development of their characters in the works but I’m trying to actually make that one a bit more well-organized so it may take a little longer.
Touka had a job to do. Nemu had a job to do. They had a goal and a purpose, a promise to deliver on. They failed. What then? What do they do after the dust clears? They panic. As soon as they've had some time to actually process the extremely traumatic shit they went through and how badly they have fucked up, they internalize all of their guilt and it destroys them from the inside out. And what can they do? Nothing, really. Everyone hates them. They're failures. They have no purpose. No use. Who are they? They don't know. They're lost. And no one is there to guide them. So they try to do what they think is right: taking themselves out of the equation. They serve no purpose and are of no use anymore. Worthless. All they've done is harm. Mind you, this is never at any point mended. These wounds are left to fester. If you pay attention throughout Arc 2, the Union relies on them for several things, but they're never quite part of the group. They never quite rise above their status that they gained after all that happened in Arc 1. Which is why they kept trying to throw their lives away, among other things. When you’re doing your best and your pretty significant efforts are never acknowledged, it’s extremely discouraging, and for them, works with a fun concept we call confirmation bias. And that leads me to the names I gave the two atonement suberas. Sinner and purpose. The sinner subera is the one where they are self-flagellating harder than worshippers of Loviatar in D&D, and the purpose subera is the one where they finally, finally find themselves a worthy goal to pursue. A challenge, a purpose. Something only they can do, this time with a bit of extra help.
The way they see everything is literally just "everything we do is wrong and hurts people" and "we can never do anything right." Every single time Touka perks up after an adult calls her smart and bends over backwards to prove that the adult is right I want to break something. Dr. Satomi had good intentions but my man has NO IDEA the damage he did with those teachings. Noblesse oblige aside, Touka just ties her identity ENTIRELY to being smart. That's all she is. If you pay attention to the way she speaks, she weaves this into her personality all the time, and the amount of time she explicitly brings up being a genius is both concerning and a badly disguised cry for help under a layer of arrogance that’s easy to peel back if you simply cared enough to look closer. When she's given a role like say, Magius, then she has a job, a responsibility, and *points violently at my Magius Touka essay* A PURPOSE. It’s not particularly good for her, but it’s something. She desperately needed direction, to be taught how to be, well, herself, and nobody gave her that. No one gave her or Nemu what they needed. You know what their elders did? Yell at them.
If you think about it. Do the others ever sit down with TouNemu and talk to them? Do they really? Or do they basically only pay actual attention when TouNemu inevitably make a mistake or do something they don't like, to berate them for it like they're misbehaving dogs? No wonder they isolate themselves and can only open up to/rely on each other. They have no one else. Even Iroha and Ui are comparatively distant now. Not to mention, these two probably believe they're everything from hard to love to incorrigible to perpetually evil, cannot be good or do good, etc. Do the others ever praise them when they do something good? Is there ANY positive reinforcement at all? I have not even touched f4's funny child abuse joke about how Kanagi dishes out corporal punishment to these two. The instance of it in Paradise Shift boils my blood personally because EVEN WHEN THEY DO A GOOD THING THEY GET PUNISHED. And guess what their reaction is? Nothing. Just a complaint on Touka’s part when they’re in private about how it still hurts. That’s literally the reaction of a child who’s been hit by their parents all their life and doesn’t know anything else, or alternatively the reaction of someone whose belief about deserving that punishment is deeply rooted in them and so they have no reaction to it. In my humble opinion, these two are literally saints, I would have snapped a while ago if I were them. Especially because literally no one has noticed or acknowledged their growth at all (other than each other). Ui and Iroha, supposedly the people closest to them other than each other, still thought they would fight until they came to blows as late as Mokyu's MGS.
And that brings me to something that a person I’ve talked to about this has brought up. Touka and Nemu do still occasionally behave in abrasive ways (mainly Touka), look down on others, etc. But I mean, can you blame them? They’re not really getting the right feedback. How are they supposed to know better? If you take a closer look, they are almost disgustingly soft and sweet with each other. And although arguably during Arc 2 they are very cordial towards people (Kagome and Sana come to mind as easy examples, with them even helping Sana publish her picture book online), when they do act in ways that push people away… It’s probably on purpose. Subconsciously or consciously. It proves them right about being unlovable and irredeemable. It’s the confirmation bias all over again.
Christmas String is once again an excellent example of both their bond (although sadly they spend most of the event in Work Mode) and their growth over the years—which they acknowledge themselves in the event, MGS, and quotes. In that event, they were kind to two children they didn't even know and even went out of their way to help them, despite claiming many times that they’re not kind people and “aren’t that type of person” to help others. They specifically cite that as a thing Ui is capable of, something Iroha does, but not them of course. In light of what I just said about their own perception of themselves, however, they would literally never recognize that they are actually kind people. They did so many unnecessary nice things for others even without the diary's influence in that event alone, and if you look at them you could tell they were pleased and happy every time they saw that they'd helped someone. They just genuinely believe that to be kind, you need to be Ui/Iroha. They were most often around people like Ui and Iroha, who basically emanate an aura of light and kindness and empathy, and it seems to come so naturally to them, so surely if it doesn’t come as naturally to Touka and Nemu, it means they’re bad. And they can quite literally never be Iroha/Ui. They say that themselves.
It's also because of introversion vs extroversion. A lot of the time extroverted people give off more… Kind, warm vibes, friendly vibes, even if they’re shy and anxious like Iroha started out as, because they're more open and talkative and they Thrive With People. Introverts like Touka and Nemu however often seem “cold,” “aloof,” “rude,” or “uncaring,” and this is especially the case when the introvert in question doesn’t display enough shyness and anxiety for their attitude to be deemed “valid” or “understandable” when in reality they would still help you just as the extroverts would. Granted, Touka and Nemu very often just, don’t wanna have anything to do with People. Them plain not talking to people or telling anyone that they *could* after Arc 2 until it became necessary is a good example of that. But, that doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t help or that they would turn a blind eye. Unlike Iroha, however, Touka and Nemu generally do the opposite of seeking people out except when the person they seek is the other; I do not think they count each other as “people” in the same sense as everyone else. In many ways. As that same person I talked to put it… “I want to be alone with you by my side.” Because they are each other’s only safe space, where they can be truly 100% themselves without fear of judgment and without expectations to meet. I could start yelling about their bond now but I shall Refrain for the sake of not making this even longer.
All of this to say that The Babies are very sad and very traumatized and they deserve the marriage they got. I will elaborate A LOT on the whole… Uwasa Queens thing, when I get to that part in the development essay. Thanks for reading today’s ramble! Do ask if you have any follow-up questions or want to know my thoughts on something else about them.

Here’s my work for the Tokyo Ghoul pair up event!
I got paired up with the talented @succulent-mud
We chose to do a father daughter piece. This was so much fun to do!
Alright. Here we go!
Today was supposed to be a quiet day. A nice quiet day to himself, Kaneki thought. On Sundays they all would go to the store to buy groceries for the week, but since they decided to go a day early due to a sale, it was basically a free day. Touka had gotten an invitation from Yoriko to spend the day together at the park with their children. Kaneki had asked her if she wanted him to tag along, but Touka said no. She said it had been a while since she and Yoriko spent time together alone. Kaneki thought it was a little weird to say it like that since they would have the kids, but he knew what she meant.
Going down the stairs of his home, Kaneki saw his pregnant wife right before she was about to leave. Yet he noticed that their daughter, Ichika, was missing from her side.
“Touka?”
“Good morning. Did I wake you?”
“No. Are you leaving?”
Touka nodded. “Yeah. I wanted to get there early so that I have some time to talk to her before she gets more occupied with the baby. You know how it is.” Touka chuckled a little as she spoke.
So did Kaneki. “Yeah I suppose so. Where’s Ichika? Is she still getting ready?”, he asked.
Touka scratched at her head. “Ah well you see about that…” Kaneki’s eyes widened just a little bit. Was something wrong? Did Ichika fall ill? “I tried to wake her up, but she wouldn’t budge. She insisted that she wanted to stay home.”
“Oh really? She insisted?”
“Well more like she gave me the biggest grumpy face ever and then hid under the blanket.” Touka sighed. “I’m sorry. Usually I would’ve been able to handle it better, but as you can see,” Touka pointed to her baby bump, “I don’t think this little one would have made it easy.”
Kaneki just laughed it off. “It’s alright. I’ll spend the day with her.”
“Are you sure? I know you were excited to have the day to yourself. Maybe you can just get her ready real quick and then we’ll be on our way.”
“No no. It’s fine. I’m her father after all. It’s my job to take care of her.”
Touka’s eyes softened. “Kaneki… I”, yet before she could finish, she had a look at the clock and gasped. “Ah shoot! I’m late! So sorry, but I have to get going. I’ll see you guys later, okay”, Touka said as she already put one foot out the door.
Kaneki waved to her as she left. “Yes. We’ll see you later.”
As the door shut, leaving Kaneki all alone in the living room, the man pondered. Now what? His plans for relaxing were out the window now. Ichika was a pretty active kid and always kept everybody on their toes. Kaneki decided that it would be best to just wake her and go from there. Before he could take a step, he heard little footsteps coming downstairs. Yet when he turned his head around there was no one there. Now he heard the steps coming from the kitchen.
Perhaps she’s trying to hide from me, Kaneki thought.
Going into the kitchen, Kaneki spotted Ichika pulling a chair towards the pantry. He almost wanted to laugh at the little grunts she was making. Poor thing. The chair must be so heavy for her.
“What are you doing?”
“Hungry.”
“You’re hungry? Okay. What do you want to eat?”
“I’ll do it!”
“Do you want me to get it for you?” As he took a step closer to her, Ichika let go of the chair and began pushing Kaneki away.
“No no! I’m gonna do it! No!”
“Alright alright”, Kaneki said as she kept pushing him. Looks like she was in a mood. It reminded him of Touka and, oddly enough, Hide. Once she got him out of the kitchen, Ichika went back and started pulling the chair again. When Kaneki went to look at what she was doing again, Ichika got mad.
“Papa no! Go!”
“Oh? I can’t watch?”
“No!”
“Okay okay”, Kaneki said as he put his hands up. He pretended to walk further away when he turned the corner. Once he heard her moving again, he figured it would be a good time to spy on her. Peeking into the kitchen, Kaneki saw that Ichika had climbed the chair to grab a bag of flour from the pantry. However, the bag she was grabbing was too heavy for her small arms so it quickly fell onto her, creating a cloud of flour.
“Ichika!” Kaneki swiftly made his way towards his daughter checking if she had any injuries. “Are you okay?” He saw her nod, but heard her trying to hold back little whimpers. “Look at that”, he said pointing to the top of her head. Her dark roots were covered by the flour. “You look just like me.” Kaneki smiled when Ichika laughed. She seemed to be just fine. After all, Ichika was always quick to bounce back.
After dusting her off Kaneki went to go get the broom and dustpan. Coming back, he saw Ichika trying to get something from the pantry again.
“What are you getting now?”
“Eggs.”
“Eggs? What for?”
“Pancakes. I wanna make pancakes like from the cafe.”
“Oh.” Kaneki remembered the cafe they would all go to. Ever since Ichika was a toddler, she loved eating the fluffy pancakes from there. Before he swept up the flour on the floor, Kaneki picked up the bag and placed it onto the counter.
“The eggs are in the refrigerator. They’re too high for you to get so I’ll help get them.”
Ichika was now watching Kaneki as he swept.
“Papa knows how to make pancakes?”
“Yes.”
“But papa can’t eat food like me.”
“Just because I can’t eat it, doesn’t mean I can’t cook.” Ichika seemed so stunned at the information, Kaneki couldn’t help but chuckle. As soon as the floor was clean, he put on an apron.
“Get ready Ichika because you’re about to witness a cooking papa!”
Seeing her normally mild mannered father have so much confidence made Ichika giddy with excitement.
Approaching the pantry, Kaneki pulled out a small box of baking soda.
“Go put this next to the flour.”
“Okay!” The small child nearly leapt off from the chair as she went to go do as she was told.
“And once you do that, go grab your little stool.”
“Yes!” As she ran off, Kaneki took this time to get the remaining ingredients.
Bringing back the stool was no problem for her. It was a lot lighter than the big chairs they had. When Ichika came back, she saw an array of ingredients on the counter. She quickly set the stool down in place and stood on it to get a better look.
“Are you ready?” Kaneki asked.
“Yes papa.”
“Alright.” Kaneki reached over and rolled up Ichika’s sleeves before doing the same for himself. “This is so we don’t get dirty.” He saw her nod and try to roll them up even more.
“Okay. First, let’s combine our dry ingredients.”
Ichika looked puzzled. Kaneki wondered why, but then it dawned on him that she was five. She didn’t really understand what dry ingredients were yet. “Oh. Um, we have to put these into a bowl.” Kaneki then pointed to the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.
“Oh okay.” Ichika grabbed the bag of flour and tipped it over so that it could go into the bowl. Kaneki was able to stop it from falling again, but some still spilled out.
“Not that much. We only need two cups.”
“But I can’t reach the cups.”
“Not those ones.” Rummaging through one of the drawers, he pulled out some measuring cups and spoons. “Use this one. Remember. Only two.” Kaneki watched Ichika as she counted while collecting and pouring the flour.
“Good job! Now use this one for the sugar.” He then gave her a smaller cup.
“How many?” Ichika asked, nervous that she was going to mess up.
“Just one”, Kaneki said as he put a finger up.
Once she had finished that, he decided that he should handle the measuring spoons since they were so little. Ichika didn’t really like that idea so she tried to take the spoons from Kaneki’s hand. She was unsuccessful and only managed to spill some of the powder.
“Alright. Let’s stir the bowl.” Giving her a whisk, Kaneki told her to do it gently. “We don’t want it flying out.”
Now that the dry ingredients were all mixed, it was time for the wet ingredients and Kaneki was a bit nervous to say the least. Cleaning up powder was one thing. This, however, could end in catastrophe. He had already melted the butter. All she had to do was put it in the bowl.
“Here’s the other bowl. Put the butter in here.” Doing as she was told, Ichika noticed her father was starting to pour milk into one of the measuring cups.
“I wanna do it!”
Before he could stop her, it was already too late. The way she had lunged for the cup made his grip on the milk slip so it fell. Over half of it had spilled out getting all over the counter and dripping onto the floor. Luckily, he had already gotten the amount he needed.
“Sorry…” Ichika had a guilty look on her face. The look that would make everyone melt.
“It’s alright. We’ll clean it up before mama gets home”, said Kaneki. Him and Touka were used to the messes. “Here. Help me with the vanilla.”
“Ice cream?”
“No no. It’s a mixture. We’re gonna put it in the bowl.” He handed Ichika one of the measuring spoons. “I’ll pour and you put it in.” Ichika nodded happily. Once they had done it twice, Kaneki grabbed the one egg and cracked it into the bowl. Ichika didn’t make a fuss about it. He supposed that she knew cracking eggs would be too hard for her to do by herself.
“Okay. Now mix this one too.” Kaneki had forgotten to tell her to do it gently, but he saw that he didn’t need to. Ichika was being careful. It made him feel a bit of pride seeing that she remembered.
She really has grown up, Kaneki thought. It seemed like just yesterday when she could barely hold a spoon.
“Do we make pancakes now?” Asked Ichika.
Kaneki smiled. “Not just yet. We have to combine the bowls now.” He then poured the bowl full of the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. “Now we have to mix it again. Make sure it’s mixed together really well.”
“Okay.” When Ichika started mixing, she noticed it was a bit harder than the previous times. So she began to use more force as she stirred. And when that didn’t feel like enough, she put even more force into it. At that point, her sleeves had unrolled themselves. Pretty soon, there was batter splashing out. Kaneki decided to not say anything. She was still a child. Let her have fun and get a little messy. He only stopped her when the stool beneath her started to shake.
“Ha ha! Look papa!” Ichika raised the bowl to show him. “I did it! I mixed it!”
“Fantastic job Ichika!” Kaneki clapped as Ichika did a little dance with the bowl. “Okay. Now we can make the pancakes.” He grabbed the bowl from her and set it down. Grabbing a pan, Kaneki looked over at Ichika. “I have to do this part because it involves the stove. How about you go wash your hands?”
Ichika nodded and left the room. Kaneki looked over at the mess that was made. He sighed.
When Ichika came back she decided to grab a fork before sitting down to wait. She watched her father intently as he began flipping the pancakes.
“Some of these will be for mama so remember to leave some for her.”
“Yes papa.”
Once he was done, Kaneki stacked some on a plate and gave it to an eager Ichika. As he was doing so, he could’ve sworn he could hear a faint ‘pancakes! pancakes! pancakes!’ coming from her.
He watched as she took a bite. “So how is it?” He asked.
Ichika smiled brightly. “So yummy! Even though they aren’t fluffy.”
Kaneki felt like there was glass shattering. She had asked for fluffy pancakes. They just made regular ones. His face became so gloomy that Ichika started to panic.
“Papa no! They’re very good! I like them a lot! Can I have more?”
“It’s alright Ichika.” Kaneki said with a defeated smile. “I’ll learn how to make it for you.”
The end
:) I hope you all enjoyed! Be sure to check out the wonderful artwork done by @succulent-mud !

Huh, I don't really know what to ask for so could we have some headcanons?? Any character you want :].
How is the crunchy cereal back pain going?
oh you know. it's... it's going. sure is... going... i haven't thrown out my back yet, so it's not terrible and i'm not dead yet. can't ask for much more. i'll live with it until i die or something, i guess.
headcanons, headcanons... okay, let's doooo *throws a dart at the board* touka
kicks her status in re 179 in the head (besides that, we're going full canon)
she's part of the medical team with kimi that analyzed the dragon's cells and helped develop synthetic foods as well as artificial flavoring for them (she’s always wanted to taste cake) (kaneki, poor boy, is the guinea pig for her creations)
yoriko had a second wedding so that touka could be the maid of honor. she cried. a lot.
gets to work sometimes by jogging (ghoul abilities+she likes staying in shape). she brings baby ichika via baby holders. it’s very secure. very. kaneki wouldn’t let her leave the house without making sure it was secure. very secure. alright, she’s leaving.
”touka did you bring our baby to a dragon orphan extermination mission again”
big spoons kaneki; wants to make sure he’s still there when she wakes up, especially after that stunt he pulled.
”i was thinking about you, you know, when i did it.” ”next time think about yourself, jerk…” ”… okay.”
or something like that. Thanks for the ask!

some silly hcs regarding the roommate situation in the tg human/college au i’m working on, in hopes that someone will find them funny:
uta+nico:
juniors. the duo basically everyone is weirded out by, but ultimately writes off as harmless. people usually go to them for fashion advice. (they’re both gnc/genderfluid, so they’ve got advice for everyone)
renji+koma:
juniors, and the best neighbors ever. koma (my aroace king) is a ride or die for basically everyone, and renji is just along for the ride. he and uta have a silly little “not-quite-dating-but-more-than-friends” thing going that their friend group absolutely EATS UP
itori+kaya:
juniors. actively dating; their neighbors hate them. kaya works w/ renji and koma at the campus café
kaneki+hide:
freshmen, and childhood friends that opted to go to school together. they never actively mean to get in trouble, but it almost always finds them anyway. kaneki is a literature major—same as renji
touka+yoriko:
freshmen, also childhood friends. standard “punk-who-looks-for-fights” and “is-constantly-apologizing-for-her” dynamic
arima+hirako:
sophomores. the school’s top med student and top criminal justice major. constantly having beef w/ uta and renji for seemingly no reason
ui+furuta:
sophomores. ui…you poor, poor man

Tokyo Ghoul Volume 3
Summary:
Meet Kaneki who has discovered a new evil in his world. The doves are ambitious, clever and completely ruthless when it comes to their duties. It gets harder and harder for Kaneki to draw the line between good and evil. The doves are protecting human society but they also killed the innocent Ryouko in front of her daughter. What’s right and wrong? Is it wrong for Touka to protect Hinami?
Questions that Kaneki doesn’t know the answer to…
Poor Kaneki
New characters you will meet in this volume:
Ruisawa
Ippei Kusaba
Nakajima
Ayato
Kie Muramatsu
Quotes I particularly liked:
"I’ll change that. This world is wrong" - Amon
"Feeding time" - Kaneki
"Don’t make me a murderer"  - Kaneki
"Is it okay for me to live…?" - Hinami
My thoughts:
Kaneki is different than the other ghouls around him. And slowly but surely it shows.  Not only in his confusion and acceptance of himself as ghoul but also in a scientific way. Only one eye transforms, he regenerates not as fast as other ghouls and now we also learned that he does not have the same high RC- Factors than the others. He therefore is invisible for the human technology so far. He literally has a green card for both sides (even if he smells like a woman in one of those worlds). But, and that is the important part, Kaneki chooses not to stay invisible. We see him crossing his own morals for the first time and actively hurting people to rescue the ones close to his heart. And he does it in his ghoul form while still being human. Being himself. Even though he has some minor problems with the aftermath of his actions. If you haven’t guessed it… im talking about the fight of Kaneki vs. Amon. That’s what this volume is all about. Showing us the reality of what happens when ghouls and doves join a meeting together. The extremes both will go to! But I also have to say that we see two types of fights going on in front of us. And I find it to be an interesting parallel. On the one side you have Kaneki and Amon doing their worst. Physically and verbally. They’re both talking and trying to convince the other one of their perspectives. Kaneki now standing on the ghoul side. A shocker for himself. The fascinating thing is that they are actually listening to each other. Having even some understanding for each other (not much but some).
On the other hand you have the fight between Touka, Hinami  and Mado. They are also fighting. And yes also physically and verbally. And yes they are also listening to each other. But understanding is a thing that does not happen. Take Touka who is so so hurt of everything what humans,or should I better say the doves, have done to her (and her family?) that she can’t think straight when a dove hurts one of her own. She only sees one possible way to deal with this situation and protect the ones who are still there. Revenge. And she would risk everything for it. Even herself. And she can’t let loose. The others pain is her pain. And by her way of protecting she accidentally endangers others. Take Kaneki who had more than luck not to be discovered by the technology of the doves or Hinami who because of the attack prior to the doves from Touka is now being hunted. She means good but does harm. She can’t control herself. She is a loose cannon. And therefore reminds me of Mado. I could imagine that Mado once was like Touka and that Touka has the potential to become just like Mado.
Mado is absolutely brilliant, mad and dangerous. And long long gone. He also gives himself to his cause. He is a hunter and collector of rare trophies. He is beyond revenge. He is unreachable. With no clear thought or basic reasoning. He himself is not only collecting the most deadly weapons but he has become the deadliest. And tragically he is not able to wield it anymore. Touka and Mado are screaming, yelling and riling themselves up to see each other loose control.
And poor Hinami is in the middle of all of it. The one everyone (on the ghoul side) wants to protect but simply can’t be, because Hinami sees herself as guilty. Should she be alive? Does she deserve to live? Can she even survive in this harsh reality? When she sees Mado she does not seek out revenge. She realises that that won’t bring her parents back or take her pain away. It only hurts. Hurts so much. And when she sees how cruel and vile Mado is, by recognising Mado's weapon as her mothers and fathers kagune even then she doesn’t go further then protecting Touka from his attacks. She would have let Mado kill her. And she would also be dead if it wasn’t for Touka finally reaching for "her" revenge.
One detail that I found pretty interesting was the marriage band of Mado on his attached hand. I don’t believe that he is still married. The guy is way beyond saving (mentally). But what I could imagine is that he was married and lost his partner to a ghoul accident and that’s also why he went mental. Maybe for him revenge turned into obsession. I mean the guy would have done anything to get his hand(s) on Hinami as a future weapon. Speaking of being head over heels.
Going back to Amon whom I mentioned earlier. I believe him to be a very tragic character. Right from the start we did not see him happy once. All he seems to send into the universe is misery. He definitely has some burden to carry. Personally we still don’t know what exactly happened in his past. Sure he lost some people in his life but I don’t think they were that close to him. But Amon seems to have a gift. Empathy. He is full with it. We see it at the memorial. How he treats the stranger who has just lost his colleague. And of course when Mado dies and Amon finds him (I pretty much doubt that Mado would have showed the same empathy if the roles would have been reversed). That’s also why I believe that he was able to listen and understand Kaneki. Sure he also was confused. Kaneki is not you’re average ghoul. First holding back, not even using his kagune. Amon did not even believe that he was an actual ghoul. Then of course Kaneki had to fight for real but he did something that I think no ghoul has ever done to Amon. He showed mercy. And that exactly planted something in Amon. And I don’t think that Amon likes that. It’s nice to see the world in black and white. It’s easy to find his way around and to draw lines without crossing them… even easier. But now he has a problem. A problem he is not alone with. But I doubt that Kaneki will help in the near future (but I hope so). I could imagine that Amon and Kaneki could one day fight for the same cause or at least at each others sides.
This volume we have been blessed again with the presence of Yomo. Yomo being the lifebelt for Kaneki after he looses control of his ghouls side. Attacking Yomo as a consequence. But Yomo apparently doesn’t mind. In general… Yomo gives me good uncle vibes. He is the one you call when you need a ride home from a party because you couldn’t hold your liquor. A place to feel safe without much judging.
I’m glad that Mado is gone. Don’t get me wrong he was an interesting first villain but I didn’t see a chance for him to survive if Hinami was suppose to live. Mado is a bloodhound that doesn’t let loose. And maybe it gives Touka some kind of closure. But I don’t think so. But what I do hope is that Hinami actually got through to Touka. Maybe seeing how Hinami hurt differently than Touka, it could give Touka a wake up call.  But than again… we still don’t know exactly what happened to her but we get to know someone from her past. Ayato. Who he is I don’t know. But he left Touka. Of his own free will. That must have hurt differently. Kaneki has also done some work on himself. He now seeks to find his place in the world. He recognised his power or rather said his influence on Amon and that got him thinking… maybe he is really part of both worlds. We shall see. But still for that to happen he needs to get control of the ghoul inside him. And a nutrition plan.
The last chapter was a nice edition and showed the loss for Amon that Mado is. Amon was his student. He learned so much from him. I think they were partners for four years and this time Amon learned a lot from him. I have to say that Mado was crazy yes. But he was a great mentor. One of the best. That’s why Amon now is one of the best as well… so Mado's legacy lives on.
Little by little we get more and more details about how the doves work and function. It seems to be a huge network that includes the humans as "spies". They have really good technology to identify ghouls and their weapons are recycled and deadly.
I think prior to this post I said that Uta and Yomo were my faves so far. Please put Amon on this list aswell. I like him pretty much (not only because of his sportsplan) but for the potential future I mentioned earlier. I can see "good" things coming our way (maybe not for him… or anyone). But I think that’s it for this volume! I will see y’all next Monday! Bye bye
Please leave your thoughts and be kind and don’t spoiler anything!
Thank you for taking your time!
Please feel free to discuss your thoughts, I would like to hear them!
I will see you in a week with a new volume!

What's your absolute favorite AU for touken? 👀
Well… it's complicated. Does it usually change? But I like historical/regency AU (kings, nobility, villagers, tribes, clans) and wolves (my favorite thing). Wolves/omegaverse + regency? Something like that.
I like anything set in an ancient time. cofcof I have a wip where Touka and kaneki has an arranged marriage. He is a war werewolf who has recently been retired and feels useless "for not being able to do anything for his country" and Touka was the wife of kaneki's cousin, but becomes kaneki's wife because of a law: it is a universally recognized law that upon the death of a person, wealth and possessions are consolidated under the care of the next of kin, including the widow. and who is the next of kin? KANEKI. The enemy is Kaneki's aunt. And there you see, a poor retired wolf like kaneki trying to conquer Touka who is tired because of her old marriage (which was arranged too).
It would be: werewolf (or omegaverse) AU, regency/historical AU, fantasy Au.
My summary would be: I love when Kaneki is a strange creature and ends up falling in love with Touka (healthy or obsessively), that's an AU???
Sorry!!!, I don't even know if I answered the question! but something like that. This can change overnight depending on what I'm listening to, reading, watching 😂

ok, I finished Tokyo ghoul and as happy as I am at the ending (like trust me I am happy they all got their happy ending and it all worked out AND MOST PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY STILL ALIVE (rip Shirazu, u were actually my fave from that squad))
I just feel a little, a tad bit, empty.
Like so much was happening, so much had happened, we were left on a bit of a cliffhanger with most of the fights that were happening and with Kaneki in the water/blood/liquid shit, and we didn't really know what was happening at each fight and we didn't see what ended up happening at each fight, it was just boom, Time Skip!!
and yeah I'm glad everything worked out, Touka had her daughter with no problems, no more lives were lost, everyone's (sobs my poor Shirazu) well and alive and happy
BUT I WANTED MORE !! I WANTED TO SEE EVERYTHING PLAY OUT !!
idk I feel like time skips are just part of shitty writing (no hate to the author tho coz ik it's hard to write everything that happens, and all the technicalities) but can U blame me for feeling a bit melancholy at the ending.
It feels like nothing big was actually lost and everything was just fixed with the power of friendship anime
But that's just my thoughts and I can now say that I've watched two (2) animes with happy endings :)

“Good morning. You're up very early.” “Good morning!” Kagami answers cheerfully, reaching out and grabbing Tobirama’s hand in both of his. “I always get up this early! The birds start talking, and I like to listen to them.” The boy’s poor mother, Tobirama thinks, amused.

I am in desperate need of writing advice!!
No prior knowledge required, just pick what sounds interesting AS LONG AS YOU HELP ME PLEASE MY CREATIVITY IS DEAD IN A CORNER
So i’m working on this Hidekane fic (will be posted on AO3), canon compliant, set after time skip. Hide finds himself with hanahaki because of his “unrequited” love for Kaneki, who is “happily” married to Touka.
Here is where I need help. Do I make it Hidetouken like I originally planned or do I divorce Token (civil ofc) and make it Hidekane and Touriko (sacrificing Yoriko’s husband, the poor soul) ? If I change it to divorce version i’ll have to rethink a lot of vital elements of the story but I firmly believe that Touka and Kaneki are not in love and I feel awkward writing T*uken. If I choose divorce route i’ll have to rethink entire first half, if I choose poly route I have to rethink entire second part. I kinda vibe with Hidetouken tho but idk
The poll will be up for a week, please, ANYONE help meeee! No guarantee i’ll follow the results tho, just really need advice 🙏🙏

Naruto/BNHA crossover
[Damn it, I can’t get this idea neither out of my head nor into coherent words, so I’m going to take advantage that no one cares about this blog to ramble here]
Senju and Uchiha are hero families, with an aggressive rivalry for the #1 spot since a few generation before (quirks are relatively new as in Bnha)
Uchihas are strictly fire users, and despite they are really invested in the rivalry, they are quite reasonable about it. Tajima married a civilian with no strong quirk for love, and of his five kids he let three of them chose other careers/retire pretty easily.
Senjus are still renowed as a family of a thousand skills, but the main family are almost all wood/mokuton users, famous for their incredible resistance, given their quirk doesn’t have any other drawback than tiredness, and even then they make up for it with thier legendary stamina
Madara and Hashirama have already graduated. They were classmates at the Konoha Academy (K.A.), and of the idea of ending their families rivalry by opening together an agency, but because of Butsuma’s influence on Hashirama (forcing him to do all his internships under him) and Madara jealousy of his friend’s relationship with Mito (he took the rejection of his unspoken crush badly), they had a fallout during their second year.
Madara’s bitterness worsened in the years since not only Hashirama always beat him during school, but in the three years since they debuted the eldest Senju brother is already #1 thanks to an incident in which he saved the day and gained endless popularity. Meanwhile Madara is ‘only’ #6 despite his strenght, on account of his abrasive personality
Mito’s quirk is Adamantine Chains, she is #9; Touka has her illusions, she is #15
Tobirama and Kawarama are fraternal twins and in the same year as Izuna, but all three are in different classes. They are 3 years younger then their older brothers
Despite Madara staking a lot of pressure on Izuna to win the sport tournament he flunked it terribly during his 1st year because he underestimated Tobirama. Having won easily against Kawarama’s mokuton, he hadn’t deemed worth gaining intelligence on the other twin, not considering that not only Tobirama ranked first in the entrance exam, but that his mother is the water user hero Moon Tide
Tobirama would’ve chosen the Support course, but his father forced him to enroll to the Hero one, to the point they are still not talking to each other. The only reason he decided to fight Izuna seriously was to vindicate his twin’s humiliating defeat
Their 2nd year the sport festival was cancelled because of the incident Hashirama later gained his #1 spot for
The story starts at their 3rd year sport festival, where, despite Izuna this time taking all the matches seriously and winning uncontested, both the Uchiha brothers are dissatisfied, as Tobirama didn’t use the whole range of his quirk
Madara confronts him later, commenting about how his poor showing today won’t help his initial place in the rankings after he graduates, to which Tobirama comments he is there to get the work done, aka helping people, and not to win some ‘popularity contest’
Moved by that conversation, Madara remembers the core reason he had wanted, years ago, to open an agency together with Hashirama. So, the next time, instead of trying to steal the win from his old friend he collaborates with him against the villain and lately accepts Hashirama’s proposal (he had started to suggest it again in the previous year, as soon as his position as #1 freed him enough from his father’s influence)
The story jumps to 2 years later, to Madara finding Tobirama in the crowd of the sport festival at K.A., there to see Itama competing. He comments how the younger man had made a name for himself as a support tech [his techs share the same names as his canon jutsus], and implies he suspect he is also the underground hero the underbelly of the city is talking about. He then proposes him to stop suffering the tribulation of working on his own by joining their agency.
Tobirama comments how their agency isn’t going so well in rankings, Hashirama has dropped a few rankings, now being #5, while Madara is #8. Madara comments he doesn’t care anymore for it, the area under their protection has never been safer, and that’s the only thing that matters.
Clealry satisfied by that answer Tobirama suggests he may be interested, to which Madara replies they could talk details in front of a coffee, the other accepts [heavy implication of it being also a date]
Other things:
Hashirama and Madara have lost rankings because disengaging from the family drama made them lose popularity: people are too invested in the pettiness of the rivalry to reward any hint of losing it. Also the difference of going from Senju/Uchiha resources to starting from zero was noticed by the public
Izuna still decided to join the Uchiha agency, and views Madara’s choice as a betrayal (but nothing as drastic as in canon, a few cutting remarks at family dinners at most)
Kawarama joined the Senju agency, more to continue its legacy than for loyalty to his father. Later, when Butsuma retires, he will have no qualms on collaborating openly with his eldest brother’s agency.
Itama has both his parents’ quirk, split in the middle like his hair, but the water quirk drawback of freezing from overuse means his other side is affected at the same time, making him actually weaker than his brothers. He will join Hashirama’s agency for a while as a hero, but realising he isn’t anymore under his father thumb, he will chose to retire early for a desk job within it

For Touka and Rize: 3, 8, 15, and 19?
Okay the longer I worked on this the more I realized I really like this as sheer "haha what if", It's impossible in canon and will probably end in disaster, but I cannot help but like contemplating. Also I made a little sketch, because you poor soul, there is no content for these two. Actual question answers under the cut.

3. What was their first impression of each other?
Touka was a little apprehensive, but definitely curious. A stunningly beautiful woman who absolutely reeks of human blood? Probably not someone to be messed with but still, she found herself making a subtle effort to be the one who took her order and brought it to her table whenever she showed up at Anteiku.
Rize was initially pretty indifferent about this cute waiter, but as she started to notice Touka glancing and her, she found it strangely adorable and not in the "my next meal" way she's grown accustomed to. An odd, but exciting feeling.
8. What do they love most about the other? Why?
Rize loves Touka's passionate side. Is Rize entirely capable of standing up for herself, and then some? Oh absolutely. Is she still going to let her girlfriend go "She asked for no pickles" just because it's extremely endearing? Yes.
Touka loves how Rize is easy to talk to, in the sense that it doesn't feel like she's ever being written off as "young and emotional." Rize takes her seriously, and then actually tries to help.
15. What songs remind you of their relationship?
Threw this together in a matter of minutes so it's not great, but here's a few
She's a Riot
Tongues and Teeth
Bitter Water
19. Do they wear each other’s clothes/jewelry?
If we listen to canon they're about the same height and size, but Rize is a little taller. And hey if the opportunity is there, they might as well take it. Primarily it's Rize taking Touka's clothes because she likes them, But Touka likes to take a bit of her jewelry just as a little keepsake throughout the day.
