Format: Headcanons and scenario

Atsushi Nakajima

First off, he’d be the sweetest out of the two.

What originally drew him into you was your kindhearted nature and how you were so devoted to helping people. He really admired how you managed to be so passionate about such a dark job.

One time he saw you talking with another detective while investigating a crime. The case was fairly simple, but you were still so passionate about helping the people affected by it.

He didn’t know that someone could be so tenderhearted.

When he first saw the side of you that overworked yourself, he’d be quite surprised. He never thought that you were the type of person that would stay up late at night, strategizing for your next mission. In a way, he almost found it admirable as well. Though, he would never tell you because sometimes it gets unhealthy.

Atsushi cares for you so much, so when he sees you over working yourself he’d immediately be worried. He would usher you to take a break, even if it’s for five minutes.

If you ever needed to take a break from society and go somewhere secluded, Atsushi would fully support you. If you didn’t have a specific spot to go to in mind, he’d give you a few recommendations after asking you if he could join you as well.

If you did let him join you, get ready for some praise and cuddles. He wants you to know that you’re loved, and that you do so much for those around you.

If you happen to like books, then he’d let you read to him. He’d most likely fall asleep, but he’d be happy that you’re sharing one of your passions with him.

He’s so sweet!

Scenario…

You put your hands in your hair as you stared at the computer screen. You then shifted your gaze to its keyboard, then your lap. A loud sigh escaped your lips as you slapped the sides of your head. You had been doing work for hours by now, and you were starting to get burnt out. Even the thought of bringing your hands down to your keyboard again made you want to clock out for the day.

Atsushi looked over at your figure with a slight frown. Recently you getting burnt out like this was becoming more common, and he hated it. He hated it with his whole being. Therefore, he was determined to help take your mind off of things for a while.

He stood up from his desk and tapped your shoulder. You immediately whipped your head around to meet his gaze. You then gave the weretiger a questionable expression.

“Atsushi? You should get back to work!” You exclaimed.

The weretiger gave you a small smile. “You’re getting burnt out again, (Name). C’mon! Let’s go out for a while!” He paused for a moment. “Only if you want too though! I won’t pressure you into anything!”

You blinked at him before letting out a short chuckle. “Atsushi! You’re too sweet.”

You stood up from your seat and stretched out your limbs for a moment. Who knew sitting for so long could make you cramp up?

Atsushi smiled as you got up from your seat. “Where should we go today?”

“Hmm… Let’s go to the park. It’s nice and relaxing. Plus, aren’t the sakura petals in bloom now? I’d love to see them,” you rambled. “I just love how pretty they are.”

“You seem quite passionate about them,” Atsushi butted in.

You giggled as you grabbed his arm. “C’mon, let’s go!”

You practically dragged Atsushi out of the office. He, of course, didn’t object. Once you exited the office, you looked around for a little bit. The streets were busy, as per usual. You wouldn’t have it any other way though. It just meant that people had something to do with their lives.

Eventually the two of you reached the park after a short walk. The sakura petals were falling gracefully as the wind started to pick up. It was a beautiful sight.

You sat down on a bench with a sigh. “Thank you this.”

Atsushi sat down next to you and glanced at your face. “For what?”

“For making sure I’m okay.” You smiled as you said this.

The weretiger only chuckled. “It was the least I could do… I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Osamu Dazai

Simply put, the two of you would make up complex plans for the agency.

That is what originally made in interested in you in the first place. The two of you were lounging around in the office, coming up with a plan for an upcoming fight against the Port Mafia. It was very complex, and it all depended on one variable, but the two of you made it work miraculously.

Dazai admired how you put his trust in him so easily. He also admired how you could keep some of the most grim situations lighthearted.

If he ever saw you be passionate about something, he’d only fuel the fire. He’d do everything in his power to make sure that passion stays with you.

Sometimes he’d ask you questions about what you’re passionate about, only to hear your cute rambles. He finds it very endearing.

He knew about your unhealthy habit of overworking yourself from the start. He wouldn’t try to persuade you to not do it, no, but he’d make sure that you’re taking care of yourself. Dazai knows what it’s like to be unable to stop yourself when it comes to something like this.

If he ever catches you asleep at your desk or something of the like, he’d take off his coat and drape it over your shoulders. He’s a gentleman after all!

If you ever needed to take a break from everything and retreat somewhere for the day, he’d encourage you to do so. Dazai would recommend some book stores, a bar, and or just staying at your house. He wants you to be comfortable.

Scenario…

You slowly woke up at your desk. Some of your spit was on the cold wood alongside some on your cheek, so you lazily brought your hand up to your face and wiped it away. As you were doing so though, you felt a slight weight on your back. It wasn’t heavy, no, far from it. It kept you warm and cozy.

Once you let out a yawn, you grabbed the thing that was on your back. It felt like fabric, so you pulled it over into your line of vision. Lo and behold, it was Dazais jacket.

You got up from your chair, your bones cracking at the sudden movement. You then looked around for the tall brunette, wanting to give him back his jacket. Recently it was getting chillier outside, so you didn’t want him to be cold. You eventually found him slacking off on the offices couch, listening to music.

You tapped him on the shoulder, then offered up his jacket. “Here. I don’t need it anymore.”

Dazai smirked at you as he took off his headphones. “Keep it for a while. You were absolutely adorable with it on!”

“Oh! Are you sure?”

“Of course I am!”

You hesitated for a moment. You then sighed then put on his coat properly. After that you sat down right next to him and pulled out a book. He looked at you questionably, but then decided not to pry.

“What’s that book about?” He asked suddenly.

You looked up from the seemingly endless pages with a small smile. “It’s called Gone Girl. Basically this wife frames her husband for her murder. The ending gets very twisted though. It has to be one of my favorite books of all time…”

Dazai smiled at your rambling. He loved how passionate you can get over something like this.

“If you like the book so much, then I’ll just have to read it for myself,” he said sweetly. He then grabbed the book from your grasp with a smirk. “I think I might do that right now!”

You let out a shocked gasp. “How dare you!”

You reached up for the book, but he had the height advantage. After a few minutes you stopped fighting for the book and sighed in defeat. All throughout the whole ordeal, Dazai was chuckling. He enjoyed teasing you like this.

“Fine! You can read it,” you said as you pinched the sides of his torso.

Dazai let out a fake groan of pain. “Ow! You’re so mean to me!”

“That’s what you get for stealing my book.”

You brought your hand to your face, letting out a short yawn. Dazai seemed to notice as he looked over at you. He placed the book onto the table in front of you two, then guided your shoulders to his lap.

“You’ve been overworking yourself recently. Go on, take a nap,” he spoke gently.

"Considering the... Circumstances of my love life, I was definitely a bit nervous about getting in a relationship... I don't remember many things from when I was Ice King, just some flashes and what other people tell me about it... And Ocean Princess was something a lot of people brought up to me, especially Marcy. When we got back together I was really apprehensive about the whole thing, but then she... Was the most kind and patient person I've ever met. She never made me feel like a waste of time, and everyday with her felt like a brand new adventure, I hadn't felt so young and alive in... Well, a thousand years. What Lego Sonic Sets Could We See in the Future?

Out of the dozens of ideas I had for my comeback article, Lego certainly wasn’t one of them, yet here we are, because we’re finally getting 5 official Lego Sonic sets in less than three weeks (August 2023) and all I’ve been thinking about are which ones I should buy. So to take a break from that, what about thinking about what sets we could and should be able to buy in the future?

I feel like more Sonic “Speed Sphere” sets are inevitable, it is a great gimmick for kids to play with. With Chemical Plant Zone and Studiopolis Zone already being in other Sonic toy sets, I feel like Speed Sphere sets based on these zones are highly likely. City Escape could be another great choice with the steep slopes and getting to build small buildings. But I’m more interested in sets of locations in the series, so let’s move on.

I think an absolute must for the next set is an Angel Island set with a Knuckles minifigure. This would have to be a smaller version of the island, such as version we saw in Sonic Adventure, but the island itself with the Master Emerald, its shrine, and the Knuckles figure to guard it would be cool, maybe one or two palm trees for it and a sand-colored trim would look nice but they’re not necessary. Clear poles to hold up Angel Island since it floats would be great for shelf-display purposes.

I’d say a set with Shadow and Rouge minifigures with an Omega brick-build character is another necessary one akin to the Angel Island set, but this trio of anti-heroes doesn’t really have a base or an iconic setting piece. However, since sets from the first wave included jet skis and hoverboards, Shadow’s motorcycle could be included. If SEGA or Lego don’t have a location in mind either, sell this set as it is with a lower price tag such as $25. It would be a mistake not to include these minifigures in the line-up in some way or form.

If we ever get more Eggman sets, additional minifigures that should be included are Metal Sonic and Orbot to go with the Cubot one that’s coming out in the first wave.

I feel like the Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure 2 would be an excellent choice. Despite being a small sandbox, it is extremely iconic and so many people would love this on their shelves. The first Lego Sonic set wave included play pieces for Amy Rose to take care of animal critters, so why not have a Chao set with similar themes? That would make this a great set for kids and adults alike. I’m not sure what minifigure should be included with this set, however. Cream is a possible suggestion, plus she’s not from Sonic Adventure 2, but I already have a set in mind for her. Despite it not being a logical fit, perhaps Silver could be in this set because there isn’t a otherwise reasonable set for him to be a part of and he does have a tenderhearted nature.

A set with Cream and Vanilla’s house could be cool, with Cream and Blaze minifigures (unfortunately Vanilla may not sell well) and brick-build version of Gemerl as an additional character. While this place exists in Sonic Rush we never get to see it there, however the IDW Comics are considered canon to the videogame lore and Cream’s house is a frequent place to visit. Sonic and his friends seem to stop by there often, and Blaze usually makes sure to visit Cream when she comes from her own dimension. It is also worth mentioning Blaze should be in this set since she’d likely not have a set of her own. Cream’s two chao, Cheese and Chocola, should be included also.

Continuing with even less likely possibilities, a Chaotix Detectives set would be nice. Similar to the Team Dark set with Shadow/Rouge/Omega, it could just be a smaller set for the sake of adding minifigures of the characters, but they did run their detective agency in their house in both the IDW Comics and Sonic X, and it’s not out of the question to include their home as a building similar to Tails’s workshop in the set. Trinkets in the house could include Vector’s desk and a phone/fax machine, missing posters, and an assortment of Ninja gadgets for Espio.

Even less likely, though I don’t feel that this is impossible, is a set of the Resistance/Restoration bunker from Sonic Forces and the comics, with minifigures of the comic characters that make up the new Diamond Cutters (Whisper, Tangle, Lanolin). The biggest problem with this is that not everyone reads comics. Whisper and Tangle already appeared as playable characters in Sonic Dash though, with Tangle being acknowledged as a canon character in Sonic Frontiers. Whisper and Tangle even had plush toys made by GE for their popularity. I believe the possibility/probability of this set strictly hinges on if the Diamond Cutters ever make it into one of the next games, as there isn’t enough widespread knowledge of these characters to a casual audience to justify a set like this as of now.

Honestly, even the Cream’s house set and the Chaotix Detective Agency set would hinge on similar factors. But I do believe it is possible that Lego would be willing to take such risks because of how many characters they’ve included in their Super Mario branded sets. If Lego was willing to go into obscure territory with various enemies and The Koopalings, they may be willing to do the same for Sonic if sales prove it to be worth the risk.

So while it’s a cheesy way to end the article, the best thing you can do to make any of these sets a reality is buying one or more of the new ones releasing August 1st, 2023. What about the Baratheons in the book?

Renly - Renly's fine, he's just not someone that compels me in any way and he does kinda tend to come off as more of a wannabe-Jaime to me than anyone who's interesting in his own right. Plus he's a dick and it takes a lot for me to get fond of characters who are deliberate assholes, and that generally involves them being self aware and having a purpose to it than Renly, who's just a bored pretty boy with too much time on his hands. Best way I can describe Renly is he's the Brucie Wayne personal of Bruce Wayne without any of the hidden depths or complexities, and also if he lived in medieval times. There's elements of Renly I can get behind, like Stannis says, the boy he once was seems to have been very sweet and bright and that does sometimes make me Sad, not to mention his relationship with his brothers holds a wealth of drama that makes him interesting enough.

Robert - I hate Robert. Like, I really, really hate Robert Baratheon, with the burning passion of the sun. I find him to be such an unimaginable asshole and I'm glad his death was slow and long suffering. I think it's entirely valid of Lyanna to not want to marry him for being a philanderer and an ass of a person (even though I don't approve of the 24 year old grown married man with two kids swooping in and taking advantage of that and starting a war in the process) and I think it's very very valid of Cersei to want him dead and to not miss him after he raped and abused her for years. Not to mention, perhaps it's just me, but if you keep sending assassins after innocent children (Viserys and Dany were innocent and clearly were in real danger) and condoning the absolute butchery of Elia and her children because they were "dragonspawn", then you deserve to get beaned in the head with a chair forever. Fuck him, he sucks.

Stannis - Stannis 👏 the 👏 mannis 👏👏👏 I love him. He's another top character in ASOIAF for me, I do adore him. For one, he's a character archetype that I love, I love the outwardly emotionless, cold characters with a good mind and a firm belief in themselves who have hidden depths that very few see (and there's not a lot I approve of what the show did with Stannis but the scenes with him and Shireen, minus the last one, were top tier), so I'm incredibly predisposed to liking him on that alone. For two, as a character he's so wonderful. I can't find the post but someone said that Stannis's arc is just "what if an account was mistake as a world saving fire sword wielding hero of ancient prophecy" which is what it is and that's very funny. But Stannis as someone who feels shoved into this role not because he wanted it, because Stannis has never wanted anything of what he's had to deal with, not the dead parents or the issues with his family or having to settle for Dragonstone and certainly not being Robert's legitimate heir, but because he has to, because he has an ironclad sense of justice and wants to do what's right even if it's against his own wishes? That fucks. That fucks really hard. Stannis has a very strong sense of right and wrong, it's why what happens to Renly tears him up so much, not just because of the love he had for his brother but because it goes directly against his moral code, and considering all the grey morality of ASOIAF, that's very fun to watch. There's also this great element of Stannis in that we are never in his head, we only ever see him through the eyes of others, primarily Davos. So we see and hear about his bad qualities, his intransigence and stunning lack of charisma, from peoople who don't care for him and are on opposite sides of him, but we also see him through the eyes of someone who really loves him. Someone who views Stannis as the best there is, in spite of those qualities, and through that we can see Stannis in that light too. We can see the boy who was tenderhearted enough to nurse Proudwing, who clung to his atheism not due to any beliefs but just because of how upset he was when his parents died, the seventeen year old who had to fight against his own morals ("my king or my brother, my blood or my liege" GOD) for the sake of family, who starved himself in the service of his brother's war and was probably giving as much of his food as he could to his little brother, who accepted Davos into his service with a minor punishment and who clearly relied on him and loved him in turn just as much as Davos did. The complexities and the layers to Stannis are amazing, I love him so much. And his claim is the most legitimate one besides, even if he's not gonna get the throne in the end. Also, Stannis and Davos. Just read any of the chapters where they share scenes, they're gay as Hell.

I love your headcanons and I wanted to ask your opinion on what kind of partner Iceland is

How does he act in a relationship? It can be SFW or NSFW, I'm fine with anything

(Since you didn’t state Yandere, I'm not going to be adding it as such.or NSFW because my brain does need a little break from all the $mut I’ve been writing.) As a partner, Iceland is hugely laid back and secretive about his feelings for you. But if you’re great at reading subtle clues like him talking to you more than he does other Nations, then that’s the first sign he’s into you, but again, it would take at least about three months to really tell. There will be a level of consistency in his behavior that he’ll have when he likes you or if you are pursuing him you have to be relaxed and not overly aggressive. He will 100% hate that.

Iceland, I can see as more of an Ace or Demisexual. I can’t really imagine him as much else, considering that he doesn’t get a whole lot of screen time or in the comics. (Don’t lynch me I haven’t read all of them. I will if I have the time.) But overall, I get the feel that this dude is nihilistic as he truly just couldn’t give a fuck much or the time and enjoys the alone time he gets but would like to be more like his peers in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, etc because he’s the youngest and still trying to find his way personally.

As a romantic partner, he’ll be eager to show off his cozy home that wards off the frigid winter nights. He has hot chocolate machine, hot chocolate bombs, bourbon, whiskey, marshmallows, whipped cream etc, just for his specially made hot chocolate bar he likely spent all summer crafting after he had a few fun meetings with you after the world meeting. He’s dedicated to showing off what he can make and proving that he’s self-sufficient.

He isn’t high;y clingy but loves it when you send him texts letting him know that you made it from point A to point B safely. He has a smile that can actually be seen by his pet puffin that in turn gets him some light teasing from his beloved friend.

After being in a relationship for a while he will open up somewhat about some of his surface-level insecurities and gradually move deeper as life progresses onward in your relationship. He will do his best to not let his relatively caged-in personality ruin the good relationship he’d been able to create in a healthy way.

This brings us to the other good thing about him: HES OPEN AS HELL ABOUT dealing with his anxieties. Albeit his delivery is awkward you have to give the youngin a gold star for effort in trying to maintain a good relationship.

Even though he longs to be like his older peers and has a seemingly carefree, he does like the fact that he’s got some solitude and epic lights his nation names claim to. That’s something the others can’t take away. Plus if he decided to go the long run with you or any other nation the guy has a high belief in you that you wouldn’t do things to intentionally hurt him.

So overall, Iceland is a laid-back lover with tenderhearted ways of showing his affection through hard work.

Overall Rating: 9.4/10

Personal Opinion: One of my all-time favorite tropes is childhood friends that reconnect and become lovers. Wren and Derick give me that in this novel. They are adorable and soft and they leave me tenderhearted with almost every single one of their interactions. Another one of my all-time favorite tropes are happy endings and this serves one of the happiest epilogues I’ve seen in a book. So I highly recommend reading it if you haven’t.

Do I Own This Book? Nope.

Spoilers Below For My Likes & Dislikes:

Likes:

- The most fabulous part of this book is when Wren and Derick promised to do better with their communication. That is all I’ve ever wanted in a book. And yeah, the lack of clear, honest communication at the start is tragic but the fact that they’d reached the point of wanting to do better and putting in the work to do better makes it all worth it, in my opinion. Plus, I absolutely understand why Derick chose not to tell Wren about the demolition given the circumstances. Likewise, I also understand Wren’s blow-up when he found out.

- The ending of this story is quite possibly the happiest that it could’ve been. Everyone gets what they want and it is magnificent. Wren is the new owner of Wiley’s Drive-In and he published a book! Derick reconciled with his family and was allowed to get any job he wanted (choosing to stay on as the social media manager at Wiley’s) instead of following in his dad’s footsteps. Alice was able to sell her place and she reclaimed her fame as a badass woman director. Avery and Stacia are still together, Mateo and Brandon are still together, Wren and Derick are implied to be engaged! I love happy epilogues and this was just so good.

- I’m glad Mateo’s firing wasn’t framed as something Wren did wrong. He was right and I’m so glad Mateo apologized for not doing his job properly.

- Oscar is such a great side character. He sort of exists to elevate other voices and he fulfills that role perfectly. I love when a character does one job and does it well. That sounds weird but it’s true.

- The friendship between Alice and Wren was honestly just adorable. When they watched a movie together, I was deeply moved. Just seeing Alice open up to someone after being an isolated recluse for years is just so sweet. And it makes me so happy that she was able to reclaim her fame.

- I am a sucker for childhood friends to lovers. Wren and Derick have so much history together and it is adorable. I love the flashbacks because they meld so well with the story and it gives us so much more depth to their relationship. To how much Derick means to Wren even though Derick had hurt him before.

- Their present day interactions were adorable too though. The best part was probably the cuddle session on the couch in the basement after watching a bunch of POV Disney ride videos. It’s so unique to this book and it’s so tender and soft. And the fact that Derick was upstairs in the morning making pancakes just fills me with that domestic sweetness that I love.

- Demisexual representation! I love ace rep of any kind really but that conversation between Wren and Brandon was just so insightful. And I love that there is no shame surrounding Wren exploring his sexuality in his twenties.

Dislikes:

- Wren sometimes frustrates me. Mostly when he flat out ignores Derick or tries to stop Derick from talking. He admits that he should not have done that so I forgive him somewhat. But it’s still frustrating that he did that at all. I’m actually more willing to forgive him for the second time he does it. Because the first, when Derick tries to apologize for ghosting Wren, was just unnecessary. It went on for so long and for what.

- Mateo being a bad employee just sucks because I just got so annoyed with him. It made me wonder how he was going to act like a friend to someone who got him the job when he won’t even do it properly? And how is he gonna act like it’s not his fault for almost causing an accident when he’s literally staring at his phone during work! He should’ve been reprimanded earlier but I get not wanting to cross blurred friendship/co-worker lines.

- Derick ghosting Wren sucked! I think this one is personal though. Because it is my absolute worst fear. I’m a socially anxious person and I love my friends. And it was pretty obvious that Wren and Derick were really close up until college. So the ghosting just rips my soul out and tears it into shreds. Then Derick said he didn’t feel the same way but then sent those mixed messages and it was just infuriating. He made me feel frustrated. And I do not like that in a love interest of a book. If they frustrate me, in the beginning especially, it’s difficult for me to see them as good for the protagonist. Even if Wren says they help each other be better, I just… ugh. Communicate better! Thank fuck he promised to do that.

Pedro Pascal Characters as Element Benders

This has probably been done before, but I watched an episode of ATLA earlier and thought wow, I wonder what Pedro’s characters would be and thus this was written in about 15 minutes. It’s probably not very good cuz it’s so rushed, but read on if you want to see my headcanons for the boys.

Also if anyone out there wants to come up with their own versions, I’d love to see what you imagine ❤

Javier - firebender, definitely. I mean, the guy smokes more than any other character I’ve seen on tv and I love the mental image of him lighting a cigarette using his own hands. His anger, too, at the corruption of the government I imagine as a fire constantly burning away inside of him, making his skin warm to the touch and his snappy retorts scorch the ears of anyone who gets on his bad side.

Max -- waterbender only because he’d totally master bloodbending through it. He’s a vampire so of course blood has to factor in somewhere. His bending skills in combination with his hypnotism ability means he’d essentially be the most dangerous predator in the whole office building, inflating his arrogance beyond measure in the process.

Whiskey - waterbender because if Katara can use a water whip then Whiskey would definitely make use of one too. Enemies would think he carries a flask full of alcohol, but it’s really full of H2O ready to unleash upon them as a powerful wave.

Pero - I really feel like he’d be an earthbender. I just picture him grumpily stomping the ground whenever William pisses him off (which is often) and sending a wall of rock directly at the Irish man’s face. Or if he gets really stubborn then he’ll just build himself a little rock fortress to block out the rest of the world and give him a minute of solace so he can pretend aliens don’t exist.

Oberyn - firebender, no questions asked. I mean, I don’t know much about GOT but I know Oberyn constantly wears a yellow robe with suns on it, plus I’ve seen a lot of interviews where Pedro talks about the prince’s passionate personality makes him impulsive. All those characteristics to me scream firebender and wouldn’t it have been awesome if during his final fight he actually breathed fire?!

Marcus P - this sweetheart is totally an airbender. He just seems like such a tenderhearted man and wants to help anyone in need whether that be sending them a cool breeze in the middle of a hot summer day or helping get a child’s kite down from a tree with one well-aimed current. Aesthetically I imagine his hair always looking fluffy and windblown, making his lover want to run their hands through his hair all hours of the day and he’d love every second of it.

Maxwell - earthbender. It’s canon he has a passion for gemology and an interest in oil and I mean, he literally becomes the dreamstone (sorry, spoilers) so in my mind it stands to reason he’d be a pretty good earthbender. Another spoiler (sorry) from the movie is that scene where the giant wall rises out of nowhere and blocks off the city? Imagine Maxwell doing it because that rich oil man pissed him off with his condescending personality. Everyone would know to never make a joke out of Maxwell Lord ever again.

Marcus M - airbender. I mean, the movie doesn’t really show what Marcus’ powers are precisely other than apparently he’s got a pair of katanas, so I think it’d be cool if instead of just having a really strong bond with a pair of weapons, he bends air to send them flying into his hands. Also that scene where he leaps at the alien and gets captured? It was a super high jump so I could totally see him using his airbending to help give him a boost. (I got nothing in this headcanon to explain why he uses the little droid to fly around though, so let’s just pretend that doesn’t exist).

Ezra - of course he’s an earthbender. Just like Maxwell, it’s canon this guy has a passion for digging stuff out of the ground and becoming rich off of it. I imagine it’d be a little hard for him to relearn how to bend with only one arm after the events of the movie, but maybe he could use his feet like Toph does and master a form of bending unlike any other seen before. He would also use his massive vocabulary and honey-sweet tongue to confuse/charm competing prospectors right before he makes the ground disappear beneath them.

Din - I thought long and hard about this one and I kept coming back to earthbending only because the Mandalorians would teach him to learn metalbending through it. He would use it to get dents out of his armor as well as fix his beloved Razor Crest, but without a doubt the most important thing he’d use his bending for would be to play catch with Grogu and the little metal ball. The cuteness would kill all of us.

Frankie - I see him as an airbender. He’s a pilot at heart, loves to soar above the earth through the clouds. When he was a kid, he definitely had one of those gliders like Aang does in the show and showed off to Santi just how high he could fly (I totally believe him and Santi were childhood friends, you can’t change my mind). There is nothing he loves more than the breeze ruffling his hair and occasionally using his airbending against the boys when they’re misbehaving by sending their hats flying off their heads.

Dave - this murder-loving suburban dad is a firebender. He’s the type to burn at a low simmer, deceiving those around him by thinking he’s calm and collected, but he’ll burn you to ash the second you tick him off or get in the way of his plans. It also would explain why he lost so badly at the end of the movie because the torrential rain would weaken even the strongest of firebenders.

I think Crowley fell in love with Az on the wall of Eden and knew it from the beginning bc of all his acts of service. Az fell in love slowly and was first aware of his own feelings in 1601, but didn't realize C. felt the same way until the bombed church scene. When you have eternity, what are a few centuries? Then Az didn't want Crowley to get hurt with holy water, and he had to realize his own feelings in the Bentley. Armageddon was nigh, Az had to decide whether to act on it or not. 😇🖤😈

See, my favorite thing about these nerds is I don’t think they realized the moment they fell for the other one. I don’t think they realized it for ages.

Their moment of falling in love and their moment of realizing they’re in love are two different things and both of those things are completely separate from knowing that the other one feels the same. (To me!)

So, I agree with you that Crowley probably fell in love with Aziraphale standing on the wall of Eden.

I mean look at that face.

That is the face of a demon whose heart, upon hearing the words “I gave it away,” is now like, “oh no, I stan (1) angel.”

However, I think he realized that he had feelings for Aziraphale somewhere between 33 A.D. and 41 A.D.

I’ve talked about this before, but I shall talk about it again, BECAUSE WHY NOT

My point is:

That? That is his moment of acceptance in my mind. That is the moment he’s like, “fuck it, he’s too adorable, I guess we’re doing this now.”

The thing that absolutely fucking hurts me, right, is that Crowley is by far the more open of the two. He’s closed off in many, many ways, but he’s ultimately a tenderhearted nerd in love with a single being for thousands of years, accepts that, and spends those years indulging his love at every possible turn.

He is the softest demon and I love him.

Aziraphale is the one that is more buttoned-up emotionally. He’s the one that’s more reluctant to admit his feelings, the one that’s less likely to put himself out there emotionally, etc.

I think that’s due, in large part, to his severe anxiety, but it’s possible I’m just Projecting. It could also be due to the fact that Heaven doesn’t make him a priority at all and is very dismissive of his thoughts and feelings, so he tries not to pay attention to them too much. It’s the only way he can cope, really.

So for me, it’s harder to pin down exactly when Aziraphale actually started to have feelings for Crowley.

Hell, man, they’ve had those same bodies for 6,000 years and have also been on earth for 6,000 years, so the implication there is that they somehow got aboard Noah’s ark and were cooped up together for 40 days and 40 nights, plus the time it took for the water to recede, so maybe that’s what did it.

I mean, Aziraphale clearly likes Crowley well enough that he inquires about his new name in 33 A.D. when Crowley doesn’t readily offer it. And he also clearly likes him well enough to approach Crowley on his own in 41 A.D.

So far, we’ve seen Crowley spotting him first and approaching to strike up a conversation, but 41 A.D. is the first time we see Aziraphale spot Crowley first. And he doesn’t hesitate to approach and strike up a conversation, like Crowley does to him. In fact, he immediately leaves his seat and his game to do so.

So, that’s an important moment. That means that Aziraphale is feeling something for him.

That being said, I personally disagree about when Aziraphale knew he was in love. I definitely think it was the bombed church scene.

I mean, look at that face???? That is the expression of an angel so overwhelmed by such a swell of emotion that it’s impossible to ignore anymore.

He is in love.

As for when they realize that their feelings are returned? I have no idea. Not a clue. My answer literally changes depending on the day.

Crowley is fairly easy to pin down again. I feel like he knows either before or when Aziraphale gives him the holy water. That’s such a big thing–it was significant enough to be a huge fight between them–and for Aziraphale to cave and provide it, explicitly saying it’s because he needs Crowley to be safe, that’s—that’s significant.

So if Crowley doesn’t know before, he definitely knows then.

Aziraphale, again, is harder for me to pin down. I’d like to think that he knows by that same conversation, because, “You go too fast for me, Crowley,” is such a gorgeous line and it’s even more gorgeous if you think about it from the terms of the two of them absolutely being on the same page and just not saying it.

That being said, Aziraphale’s reaction in the bandstand scene is too significant to ignore.

I mean look at that.

I can’t see that face and think that he knew before.

Because you know what the alternative is, right?

The alternative is that he knows that Crowley thinks he has feelings, but Aziraphale just knows that they aren’t real.

He could think that Crowley isn’t capable of real love, which a lot of people seem to like, or he could think that Crowley’s feelings are superficial at best–a surface-level affection that would never be anything more–and Crowley, unused to such emotions, is mistaking affection for real, true love.

Aziraphale has spent 6,000 years watching Crowley not really be serious about anything. Crowley lives his life in the fast lane, he does stuff without thinking about the consequences, he’s impulsive, he’s seemingly care-free.

Whatever Crowley may think he feels, Aziraphale thinks, it’s certainly nothing genuine or real. He’s mistaking a general affection for romantic love.

And he might not even think that because Crowley is a demon. It could just be because Aziraphale never thought he was good enough to be loved like that.

But then the bandstand happens. Then Crowley suggests that they abandon their respective sides, abandon Earth and the impending apocalypse, and just. Run away together.

And that moment of shock is Aziraphale fully understanding for the first time how wrong he’d been. That’s the face of an angel who’s realizing that everything he’s craved is standing right there in front of him, arms wide open, just waiting for him to accept it.

But this is Aziraphale and Aziraphale instinctively rejects the things that he wants because he thinks he doesn’t deserve them. So he tells Crowley “no,” and “it’s over,” even though it’s the opposite of what he wants.

This one’s overall pretty good. The main thing that hurts it for me is the song. It’s not a bad song, just doesn’t really get me going. I definitely like the “Dance LIke There’s No One Watching” song. The singing in this one actually sounds good, but the music just doesn’t quite do it for me. But everything else is really good! I love all of the dancing animations, especially since we get some new ones. I also like how the lyrics aren’t just about dancing, but combine dancing with being true to yourself and being unique. I also think it’s cool how they mix in some of the old pics and scenes into the background. Plus, it’s cool how they made this one Wish centered! It’s hard to keep track exactly, but I know they’ve done ones centered around Funshine, Bedtime, Grumpy, Cheer, and Good Luck (and I think a few you could argue are Share cetnered). So really Tenderheart and Wish are the only two of the main eight Bears that have yet to be in the spotlight, so it’s cool seeing Wish get to sing and be featured!

1. Alec Lightwood. This one should be obvious if you know me. What I love the most about Alec is that he's so straightforward in everything he does. He protects without holding back, he fights without holding back, he self-sacrifices without holding back. He's intent to do the right thing, always, no matter the cost.He's honest to a fault. He owns up to his mistakes and apologizes for them. He's still learning and more importantly, he's willing to learn and improve.He's very vulnerable, never puts himself first and doesn't know his own worth. He holds himself to inhuman standards and he'd tear himself apart for the people he loves. He's a secret softie and a dork.And also, unlike some other Shadowhunters I know, he thinks before he acts, extensively, pondering every possible angle. That's a very big plus ;)

2. Magnus Bane. This, too, is probably no surprise at all. The thing I admire most about him is how he's experienced so much pain and hardships, had to fight tooth and nail for everything he has, and yet when faced with life's cruelty he still chooses to be kind and patient and tenderhearted. He's forgiving, maybe more than he should be, because he believes everyone deserves a second chance.His power doesn't corrupt him. He's vicious when he needs to be, but never when it's undeserved. He's a force to be reckoned with, smart and inventive and deadly.He feels so very deeply. Sometimes his emotions take over and he acts on them without thinking and that's something I can relate to very much. I also adore his passive-aggressive side. Petty Magnus is the best.And lastly: He's just fabulous. From the way he moves to the way he dresses. Like, I have not a single fashion-y bone in my body but wow. Just look at him.

3. Jace Wayland. I had a rocky start with that one though I think I can be forgiven for that, given how inconsiderate, stupidly impulsive and self-righteous Jace was in season one. And while I always understood why he acted that way that didn't change how much he annoyed me then.But with time he really grew on me. He's a fragile soul full of abandoment issues and angst, and he's scared and lonely which he very rarely shows. Despite this he opens his heart to the people he loves and trusts them and makes himself vulnerable to them. He cares, even if he sometimes tries to hide it.He's egoistical in a child-like way and he might be harsh occasionally, but he wants what's best for his loved ones and would follow them to the end of the world, morality be damned.He's the kind of guy who'd rush into a hopeless battle with a stupid one-liner and a wink, and still somehow manage to come out on top. I respect that energy.

4. Isabelle Lightwood. She's whip-smart (see what I did there ;D) ambitious and self-confident without being arrogant. She's the best fighter of the bunch and only lets Jace win because she knows he needs the limelight more than she does.She's passionate and wild. She doesn't take no for an answer, sometimes against reason and she'd break any rule if she thought it was unjust.She loves fiercely. She's as self-sacrificing as Alec, but in an understated way that tends to get overlooked. Her emotional intelligence allows her to take care of her brothers in a way they never could themselves.And finally: I'm a dress enthusiast and Izzy Delivers *hearteyes*(I'm still high-key frustrated that all Izzy-centered arcs sucked (got addicted to a drug, got addicted to a different drug, dated a stupid mundane for no reason at all). It's so unfair.)

5. Asmodeus. He is the perfect villain. He's elegant, he's charismatic, he's extremely powerful but doesn't get his own hands dirty because that's beneath him. He knows exactly how to play people so they'll do what he wants them to do. He's cruel, he's eloquent, he's the exact right amount of dramatic. He doesn't care about collateral damage. He knows how to twiste the knife for maximum effect and he'll do it with a sharp smile. He's perfect.

She honestly isn’t sure how her current circumstances came to be. She feels like she does when she drives home after a grueling shift and doesn’t remember any of the actual driving. She knows she’s here in Fowlerton with Matt and she knows Harrison is staring them down from the opposite end of the aisle. But she’s not sure how they all happen to be here at the same time.

“Sylvie!” Harrison calls cheerfully.

“Fuck,” she mutters under her breath. Matt hears her though. She can tell by the way his eyebrows lift in surprise. She then pastes on the most artificial smile she’s ever worn. “Harrison. Hi! How are you?”

“I’m good,” he answers. “Just swinging by the store on my way home. Wife called with a pregnancy craving. What can you do?”

“Oh, right! Congratulations. Mom told me you and Lauren are expecting. That’s great,” she says as Harrison takes several steps closer.

There’s no reason for her to be afraid of him anymore. She dumped his ass and hasn’t seen him in years, but still, for some inexplicable reason, she takes a few steps toward Matt. He reciprocates until they’re standing shoulder to shoulder with his hand on the small of her back. His silent support fills her with relief. It amazes and frightens her that she can gain so much strength from one simple gesture.

“Harrison, this is Matt—“

“Yeah, your boyfriend. Your mom told me,” Harrison announces, abruptly cutting her off and reaching out to shake Matt’s hand. “Good to meet you.”

“Yeah, you too,” Matt replies. Though, Sylvie could tell he didn’t mean it.

“I’m surprised to see you home, Syl. Last time I talked to Hope I got the impression you’re a city slicker now. Too important for small town life,” Harrison says with a sardonic chuckle. The emphasis he put on important was sarcastic at best, passive aggressive at worst.

“I don’t know about important,” she says dismissively. “But, you know, my job and my friends and my life are in Chicago so, yeah, I end up staying away a lot.”

Matt’s eyes are narrowed on Harrison but he hasn’t moved an inch.

“Must be a lot easier on you now that you’ve got somebody to help you out, huh?” Harrison quips as he gestures to Matt. “He get you to move out of that hell hole you lived in when I visited?”

Out of the corner of her eye she sees Matt’s jaw twitch and bites back a wince. She should be worried about the way Harrison is talking to her but she’s more worried about Matt losing it on her asshole ex-fiance before they’ve picked up the supplies her parents need.

Sylvie forces a laugh that convinces no one. “No. I moved out of there years ago.”

“And she’s never needed anybody’s help to make it in Chicago. She’s been just fine on her own,” Matt adds through a tense jaw.

Sylvie puts a hand on his arm to quiet him. Rising to meet his jabs defensively is what Harrison wants them to do.

“You know,” Harrison says as he ignores Matt and smirks darkly at Sylvie. “I bought that house you loved anyway. Lauren and I live in it now. It’s just as beautiful as you said it could be. Took us a few years to get the whole thing renovated, but once we did…your ideas worked perfectly.”

He would bring that up now. Her childhood dreams of bay windows, picket fences, and flower boxes are grenades he’s been lobbing at her as long as she’s known him. No surprise he would try to rub her face in the fact that he has that and she doesn’t. She starts to think of how she wants to respond but apparently he’s not done yet. He keeps right on talking like the jackass he is.

“I don’t know why you didn’t become a decorator instead of a paramedic. You have good instincts on design from all that crafty stuff you like. Plus, you were never good in stressful situations in high school and you’re so tenderhearted. It can’t be good for you,” he says as he pretends to be concerned. “Everyone in town thinks so.”

The implication that the “everyone” he’s talking about includes her parents hangs in the air between them. Hope made similar comments when she came back with Kyle. She’s used to it. And no one will convince her that her parents aren’t supportive of her career choice. She knows better than that.

Harrison is trying to hurt her. He’s using all the tools at his disposal. All the old tricks that used to work. Thing is that now…

They just don’t.

She loops an arm through Matt’s, which is hard to do considering how tightly coiled he is, and smiles prettily at her ex-fiance.

“Was that supposed to hurt?” She asks. “Because honestly, Harrison, I stopped giving a damn about your opinion years ago.”

She feels the power of Matt’s proud grin before she sees it, and quickly reciprocates.

“And you really don’t have to worry about her tender heart,” Matt advises. She can practically hear the eyeroll in his tone. “She puts it to good use every day. She’s one of the best paramedics in the city. In any city, truthfully.”

“We’d better get back to my parents. Their birthday barbecues wait for no one. Not even me,” Sylvie declares as she waves dismissively at Harrison and turns Matt (and their shopping cart) away from him.

She tries not to smirk victoriously at his slack jaw and shocked expression.

“I hate that guy. Possibly more than I hate Gorsch,” Matt grumbles while they head toward the registers.

Sylvie laughs loudly and then presses a quick kiss to Matt’s lips. “Hate Gorsch more. Harrison isn’t worth the effort.”

wow ok guys , this took me alot longer than i expected ? i’m TIRED , lol . i’m taylor though , hi legends ! i’m 20 and live in the est + go by she / her pronouns . a little about me before we get to my lil baby — i spend too much time in the timewrap that is youtube where i’ll watch a ricky thompson video one minute then daily vlogs of a raccoon to mgk’s kelly vision vlogs true story , this MAY have happened while i was supposed to be getting this intro up 🥺 i’m a total music whore and love everything that has a good flow idc if it’s rap or country if it’s good it’s lit ! also heads up i have the attention span of a squirrel so if i don’t respond to a thread or ims it’s because im a dumb hoe , i still love ya . anyways , enough about me lets get this intro rolling ! give this a like if you’d like to plot . addison mikhailovna sani , was born in saint petersburg , russia where she grew up in a home too big to even be referred to as a house . she wasn’t the first child of ivanka and mikhail but she definitely was their first planned child . a couple that met early in their twenties , had their moments but at the end of the day they loved one another . both extremely traditional and their beliefs , they were given no choice but to accelerate their love story when they turned up pregnant with their son . he was a beautiful and happy little boy , but posed a threat the ivanka and mikhail’s pretty storybook life they wanted to set up for themselves . obsessed with staying on some sort of timeline , ivanka began her campaign for her budding political career . then she turned up pregnant again , with their second child , a daughter this time . in their eyes their daughter was just another bump in their perfect life . they held a sort of resentment against the kids for that , especially given that ivanka had lost her window of political popularity . she’d resigned to the life of a socialite and stay at home mom and they decided the best way to fill her time up was with another child . this time , one they truly wanted . her parents would never admit it , but they hadn’t seen the true “ sani potential “ in their children that wasn’t until they had addison . her parents truly doted on her . from her point of view life was perfect . silver spoon life did her well . that was until the perfect facade the sani’s held up was beginning to crumble before their eyes . her father , a wealthy international real estate investor comes from a crime family , it was a world he hid in the shadows but things grew rather messy and the family was posed with a choice (a) leave russia and start up life somewhere else or (b) stay in russia and chance mikhail going to jail for the entirety of the kids childhood . of course they chose to leave russia , on the one promise to ivanka that mikhail was done with the life of organized crime .

they made the move to chicago , illinois when addison was just ten years old . luckily for her she’d grown up speaking three languages russian , nigerian , and english and so coming to america was made just a bit easier for her as she wasn’t completely fluent but was able to get by and converse with others . her parents quickly integrated themselves into the elite society within chicago’s wealthiest families , which wasn’t too hard with her father’s up - and - up line of work of real estate investing and her mother’s status as an heiress . the same could be said for the kids at school , each one integrating fairly well into their own friend groups . like at home stayed the same , they may have been in a new country but her parents love or obsession with addison knew no borders . she had everything a little girl could ask for and more , plus her busy parents actually made time for her - that was much more than her siblings could say . addison knew the dynamic , she was a smart girl and picked up on it quickly . often apologizing to her older siblings and offering up her own support for their lives in place of their parents . as she grew older the pressure from her family started taking it’s toll . when ivanka and mikhail sani thought you were destined to be great , they really pushed you and placed the highest of expectations on you . addison carried around the fear that one day they’d look at her the same way they did her siblings and so she worked herself in all aspects of her life to be the perfect daughter . she excelled at everything she did - academics , ballet , student government , and even becoming a debutante .

it wasn’t until she was sixteen that the toll really started chipping away at addison . she’d spent a month on a downward spiral; popping pills , drowning herself in alcohol , losing her virginity , and throwing parties . it all came to a head when she stole millions from her father’s secret stash and booked a private jet with a couple friends . the three went missing for nearly two weeks before they were spotted at a resort in ibiza . her parents brought her home only to send her away to an inpatient program for a little over a month . addison spent that month really digging deep , finding out who she was and what she actually wanted . her therapist had told her for her to get out of the dark place she was in she’d need to separate her thinking from her parents and let go of the perfectionist act . when she came back home it was like the last few months had never happened , her parents ignored it all . to them , the issue was fixed and now it was time to sweep it under the rug but for addison it broke her heart . she realized over that next year that her parents didn’t see her as a person with her own choices but instead some sort of maniquin for them to play some weird version of real life sims with . despite this realization she couldn’t help but to fall back in line .

senior year of high school came quick and the four years of student government , mock trial , equestrian , and perfect grades was nearly over but not before addison’s whole world crumbled before her . no matter how perfect she tried to be the sani’s could never run from the truth . they weren’t this perfect family , when her mom caught her dad tied up with the russian mafia within the city of chicago it was over . by the end of the night ivanka was kicking him out of the house , with the threat that if he so much as looked in the direction of her and the kids she’d have him sent to jail for the rest of his natural life . the threat was enough to spook him , he’d known her well enough to know she wasn’t bluffing . just a few months later he moved out of the state leaving secret letters for the children to let them know he loved them . but of course , addison wasn’t allowed to so much as miss a beat . ivanka was still on her like some crazed momager and when she landed multiple acceptances in some of the top schools across the country the two inevitably made the decision for addison to attend yale . secretly she wanted stanford but bit the bullet . she studied finance with a major in philosophy . joined a sorority and mock trial . in truth she took a liking to connecticut and the change of scenery helped her forget about everything happening back in chicago .

during her senior year at yale , her mom broke the news of the family making the big move to new york city . which really just meant addison and her mom were moving to new york city because her brother had started a family in his college town of durham , north carolina + was also playing for the carolina panthers while her sister traveling the world on some sort of instagram model high . her mom rambled on for week about how the move was perfect since addison would be attending columbia for law school so now the two could see one another more often . even at twenty two addison couldn’t put her foot down when it came to her mom and so for the millionth time in her life she held back what she really wanted to do ( finally going to stanford , for law school ) and committed to columbia law .

basically , addison is the baby of three kids . born in st petersburg , russia but grew up in chicago . she was always the favorite of her parents ivanka ( a russian heiress + philanthropist ) and mikhail ( a international real estate investor ) as she grew older she realized their love was more of a obsession with control + perpetuating a picture of a perfect family + daughter . the pressure to a toll on addison during highschool and she had a break down that led to a major downward spiral landing her in an inpatient facility for a month . when she got out , her parents ignored all the issues within the family and went back to treating addison like some sort of puppet + addison continued to go along with it , as she didn’t really know how else to be . today she struggles with being who she wants to be and who her mom wants her to be . she and her siblings have always gotten along , even though their parents never treated them all the same they were all able to see the struggle in how each one was treated and able to bond through their messy parent situation . as of now addison’s trying to play up a double life sort of situation . having fun + being the perfect daughter . she’s also on the path to becoming a big time lawyer . she’s in her 2L of law school at columbia + also works as a paid intern at the district attorney’s office .

addison has always been full of love and unlike her parents her love isn’t conditional maybe delusional sometimes but never conditional . don’t worry , after a nation wide search i’ve found the first girl who doesn’t suffer from resting bitch face . instead you’ll always see a smile on her face , to the point where if you ever see her not smiling be worried . something life shattering has happened . she’s the type to say she “ hates drama “ but perk up the minute she hears about drama going on in some else’s life . don’t worry though , after she done being nosy she’ll do all she can to help fix the issue even if you don’t want her too . hey , she may make things worse in the process but atleast she cares , right ? maybe not , i don’t know . incredibly loyal and loves to have a good laugh , she’s incredibly witty and a lover of corny jokes . very talkative . wants everyone to like her and if you don’t like her get ready for her to try at every chance to win you over . very much so the “ pardon me , but you really hurt my feelings “ type . she’s really just a soft , smart rich girl trying to navigate through this big world . also she falls in love quick , although she’d never had a real relationship . not because she’s a T H O T , she’s not , well , she doesn’t mean to be atleast . she just finds her befriending guys more than becoming their girlfriend . despite her naturally affectionate behavior , she just has this weird “ no boyfriend “ curse going on . maybe she’s pushing them away when things get close to serious in fear of losing the guy from her life . on a negative note , addisons hands down worst quality is her inability to control a situation she is incredibly reactive / volatile . she’ll easily fall into a screaming match or crying fit . never the type to walk away . a true virgo , y’all , the girl can and will argue until you’re blue in the face .

so basically , her dad is apart of the russian mafia . he was heavily involved while they lived in russia but when the government was catching onto his actions the family fled the country before they could dig any deeper into the case . he was supposed to cut ties when they moved to chicago but it was a way of life he simply couldn’t let go of . when addison’s mom found out she forced him out of their lives threatening to turn him in if he so much of looks at his children . despite this when addison and her mom moved to new york he reached out to addison . they’ve been meeting for lunch once a week for almost a year and a half behind her moms back . absolutely no one but those involved with the mafia know about her dad being within the mafia , which is exactly how he’s always wanted it , which is why her mom could never find out addison and he are continuing their relationship .
