You telling me I'm watching a cdrama where the miscommunication that happened near the end of an episode got cleared in the next episode less than seven minutes in the next episode and didn't drag on for several episodes!
A story of two childhood friends who reunited years after.Xiang Yuan played by Janice Wu is a rich heiress who made a deal with her grandfather that she would save their company and in return he would never interfere with her marriage. She had a crush on Xu Yanshi played by ZhangBinBin who happens to work in the same company. He had no idea that she comes from a well to do family. They separated for a long time due to some family issues but later on reconciled. I find the story boring but I am not skipping any of their scenes together and love the banters between them. The show was funny and sweet.I really loved Janice Wu from Le Coup de Foudre and watched two of her dramas. For ZhangBinBin I've only seen snippets of his dramas.Their tandem is amazing and the soundtrack is a plus.
PLEASE BE MY FAMILY
Another fave family drama this year. The leads here agreed to get married for the sake of their two lovely children.Something to look forward to is the mystery behind the real birth parents of the two kids and how will they resolve their personal issues.Song Haoyu married her for a different reason while Qin Xile is a selfless woman who would rather carry the weight of the world on her shoulders instead of relying on someone else. But Haoyu later opened his heart and wanted to have a future with her.It is a lighthearted drama. This one is like Unforgettable love 2.0 version in terms of sweetness and chemistry.
Chenchen truly deserves an award. My heart melts everytime he cries. These two kids are really adorable. There were so many heart touching scenes in the last few episodes.
CIRCLE OF LOVE
The plot is messy yet I commend the cast fo their acting and their chemistry is on fire which is very rare in a cdrama. Xiao Hongye is one of the most toxic male lead I've ever seen from beginning to end.Gu Meng was too kindhearted and she have lost her memory thrice and still fall for his trap. The cast were perfectly chosen for their roles.I can't help but ship them in real life.I really hope they would work in a new drama with a good storyline.
Internet Friends Are No Different From Real World Friends
Internet friends are no different from real world friends, unfortunately, many people today don't think so. It's sad that I consider many of my internet friends to be friends while they never consider me a friend.
Comparable to: the Love You Gave Me (cdrama); Autumn’s Concerto (tai drama); Unforgettable Love (cdrama)
I had so much high hopes for this one but unfortunately it starts out great then slowly descends into a pile kookieness (don’t even get me started with that last episode, oof). The draw out a ongoing storyline that seems never ending. It definitely needed to be edited down some. The kids in this are super adorable though. If it weren’t for them and the main leads excellent chemistry, then this drama would be unwatchable.
Recently, a friend of mine asked how I have the time to watch all these dramas. The answer is that I don’t have dependents.
Another answer is that short dramas make the best sense. They don’t have to fill a bunch of space, so they tell only the story that they meant to and get to the point quicker. I still like a good epic, though. You really can’t beat a fully fleshed-out story.
