Everyone sat on the benches and floors, wherever they found more comfortable. Digging in to some treats and hot, exciting food. Sasha was tied to a bench because she's already eating a whole piece of cooked chicken...the wind blowing made it way more peaceful.

"hey Levi, could you pass me the strawberries?"

You smiled, looking at the strawberries next to Levi.

"oh, sure...you like these?"

He passed them over, looking down at the strawberries.

"yeah, they are really nice... haven't you tried one?"

Levi shook his head

"no, it might be bad for me."

You looked at Levi in disbelief

"Levi, it won't kill you... c'mon try one"

Levi hesitated for a moment but nodded, he then saw the strawberry on a fork and looked pissed off at you.

"you're not feeding me...get that fork away."

"just eat it!"

You replied and laughed. Levi gave in and gently took the strawberry off the fork with his teeth, eating it. He looked back at you

"it's...not that bad...too sweet for me."

He caught you looking at him and smiling, he couldn't help but look away and blush.

"you're an asshole..."

I didn't know that the anxiety trait gave colonists panic attacks. Aw, poor Vu. At least Candlelight was there to help calm her down.

Irwin wants everyone in the colony to have a good time, which is all good and well, except that the food we're binging on is only edible by about three colonists. Everyone else is gonna be living off tea and coffee for two days.

We all headed down to the riverside for the feast, which was very eventful and lovely (well, lovely for some people- Candlelight couldn't walk for a few days, but that's what she gets for getting into a fight with someone who is actually capable of melee combat).

Why does nobody want to take the only colonist I actively dislike?? I don't want to deliberately accidentally get him killed, but it's getting to the point where I think it might be my only option...

Story - summarized

A new Guild recruit, Iven, fell in love with Lolory when watching the recruitment video. She was sweet, kind, and, of course, elegant. And she was the same at work: approachable and friendly.

One day, the Guild boss announced that he was so impressed with Lolory's afternoon tea pictures on Moments he wanted her to cook for the next company picnic! She tried to back out, but everyone assumed it was modesty, and they praised and encouraged her anyway.

The day of the picnic, Iven decided to give Lolory a love letter he wrote. He found her by the picnic blankets... and a dessert chef dropping off food. Lolory admitted she couldn't cook, and she only took photos. But since everyone assumed she was the cook in the photos, she felt pressured to meet their expectations.

Then, the dessert chef got a heart attack. Iven froze, but Lolory remained calm as she suggested a nearby clinic and grabbed the chef's motorbike. Under her direction, the three of them got to the clinic in time.

After returning to the company picnic, Lolory told the others that Iven was the one who noticed the problem and took action. Everyone else filled in the rest of the story with their own assumptions: that Iven was strong and brave indeed, and that he only looked nervous now because of modesty.

Iven was uncomfortable, as he didn't do anything. But everyone assumed he was strong and brave for acting fast and saving the chef's life. They had a high opinion of him that he felt pressured to maintain.

Just like Lolory felt. Even after all the colleagues' unrealistic beliefs, she remained kind and graceful. Iven realized that elegance is more than just etiquette and refinement.

And while he never gave her the love letter, he still had a huge crush on her.

Connections

-While Iven was willing to help Lolory hide her secret, not everyone has been as understanding. In Midnight Elegance, the chief editor tried to ruin Lolory's reputation and work by showing her goth side.

-Lolory may not be a cook, but she has great taste in food and tea. She shows off her love of tea in the Reflection for Honey Lemon Tea, and she also demonstrates grace under pressure in the story.

Fun Facts

-Lolory has two other Reflections with the Green/Fresh attribute: Honey Lemon Tea (SR) and Teresa Afternoon Tea (SSR).

-Heart attack symptoms appear differently depending on gender: men tend to clutch their chests from the sharp pain, and women may feel strong pain in their chests (but not as dramatic as men) or in their neck, back, or jaw.

-While it's fun to have fancy afternoon tea with all the sandwiches, cookies, cupcakes, fruits, and sweets, you can have just as good and relaxing an afternoon tea with just your favorite snack.

so my mom mentioned to my brother that i didnt have the best of times at pride the other day because like people were at least 2½hrs late so i was just kinda sat there alone for a long time.

and my brother has told me that next year, hell go to pride with me and hell get his best mate to go too, and is he trying to tell me something? are one of them, or both of them queer? or is it just aggressive allyship? i cannot tell.

Unrelated to f1 but I know I talk about my husband a lot, and I won’t stop because if there’s anything I want you to take away from my writing or my life or anything: don’t settle when it comes to a life partner. If someone makes you unhappy, please don’t settle for them. Find someone who supports your goals and ambitions, who talks to you even when they’re upset, who has the same priorities and outlook on the world as you (this is crucial imo), whose pride is not larger than their love for you. Marry for friendship. Everything else will follow.

so as per my last dmbj post i'm now having lots of thoughts about the dmbj characters hanging out in places i've lived, namely yangon, pyay, and several parts of singapore, and i just think...

so my friend lives in one of those crazy tall apartment buildings, right? and it's so tall that somewhere around floor 40 or 45 there's a little sort of - walkway? like this -

- sort of, but much bigger and less pristine looking. view is insane from up there, and so is the wind, which is an absolute godsend in summer. win win!!

so where is this post going, you ask? well. i just think that in a scenario where the iron triangle live in one of these condos, xiaoge would absolutely go out to buy breakfast in the morning, get tired of waiting for the elevator up, forget about the existence of stairs, and instead opt for the dramatic option of scaling the building and pulling himself up onto one of these walkways, probably scaring the shit out of anyone going for a morning jog in the process. and now i can't stop thinking about this and laughing myself to tears, so, here you go, i guess?

Tuffy & Cyclone run up the road to warn them. /end] Cyclone: Oh! Sis!! A cow is after the lunch! Lillums: You sure you have everything, Harold? Harold: Yeh! This hammock and th' blankets are th' last!

[ID: Harold and Lillums look into a fenced-in grass plot where a bighorn cow stands directly over a metal cauldron which holds their lunch. /end] Lillums: Oh! The horrid cow. Chase her out this minute, Harold! Cow: ?

[ID: Harold jumps up and down angrily behind the cow while she happily munches on grass. Behind a bush in the distance, Tuffy pokes his head out. /end] Harold: SHOO!! SHOO. Tuffy: Got th' ole trusty slingshot ready, Cyclone?

[ID: Tuffy shoots a small pebble at the cow's head, making her buck up to kick Harold with her hind legs. /end] Lillums: Be careful, Harold. Her horns look awfully sharp! Harold: Huh? Cow: MOO ROWRR

[ID: The cow chases Harold around the field as he frantically sprints away. /end] Harold: Nice Bossie! Nice Bossie! I won't hurt you!

[ID: Harold climbs up a tree to escape the cow's wrath. She stands on the grass below the tree, waiting. /end] Harold: Whew! I got'ta get out of this. Lillums'll think I'm a coward!

[ID: Cyclone and Tuffy happily carry the picnic cauldron over to Lillums. /end] Cyclone: Haw! Y'oughta see yer friend Harold. The horrid moo cow chased him up a tree. I thought I'd pass away! Tuffy: Yeh! And we saved th' lunch, Sis. Ain't we the flea's whiskers? Lillums: The coward! Wait 'till I see him!!

[ID: Harold clings onto the tree branch as he tries to swipe at the angry cow beneath him with a long twig. A bee buzzes towards him. /end] Harold: SHOO!! GIT!!

[ID: Harold jumps out of the tree, to the cow's shock. /end] Harold: BEES! Cow: ?

[ID: Harold and the cow both flee, frightened, from a swarm of attacking bees. /end] Harold: Halp!

[ID: Lillums looks on as, from her perspective, she watches Harold chase the cow across the field. Tuffy & Cyclone react with unhappy surprise. /end] Lillums: Oh! The brave boy! Tuffy: Sweet cats! I'm seein' things! Cyclone: There must be a catch to it somewheres! Pretty: ?

[ID: Harold and the cow dive headfirst into a river to escape the bees. /end] Bees: Coises! We're foiled!

[ID: Harold sits primly on a log as Lillums cuddles up to him. He eats a sandwich with the hand he's got free. Tuffy and Cyclone commisserate bitterly behind them. Pretty sleeps in the grass. /end] Harold: Y'know, Lillums! I often get a notion to go to Africa and hunt tigers and lions. Barehanded! Lillums: Uh! Huh!
