Is Pot the Answer?
How do you reduce stress? Maybe my relentless search for truth and integrity is the problem! But I won't have it any other way...
I’ll admit I smoked pot here and there when I was a young adult, pretty much if anyone handed me a pipe or joint. I didn’t think about it much and it didn’t concern me if I had some, or if I didn’t. I never thought that pot was necessary for a good time. I was probably more excited about coffee and sweets. And with time, wine or scotch. When I was about 13 years old my parents broke up and my…

The Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs Company (MCCPDC) is a registered pharmaceutical wholesaler and purchases drugs directly from manufacturers, bypassing middlemen to lower the price of more than 100 medications, it said in a statement.
For example, the leukemia drug imatinib is priced at $47 a month on MCCPDC compared to the $9,657 retail price.
MCCPDC CEO Alex Oshmyansky reached out to Cuban with an idea for a low-cost generic drug company in a cold email. It was launched in January last year. They were motivated in part by “Pharma Bro” Martin Shrkeli’s outrage-producing price hike of the lifesaving drug Daraprim from $13.50 to $750 per tablet while Shrkeli was CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals. Cuban told Forbes last year the pricing for generic drugs was “ridiculous.” He said he decided to put his name on the company to “show capitalism can be compassionate and to send the message I am all in.” It’s not clear how much he had invested in the company.

Melanoma Treatment Market 2021 Highlights Recent Trends, Business Opportunities and Market Growth till 2018 – 2026
Tumblr media
Melanoma is a kind of skin cancer that starts from melanocytes, which are pigment cells. It is produced by excessive UV light exposure, which causes sunburn, especially at high elevations. There are three types of melanoma: cutaneous, mucosal, and ocular. Cutaneous disorders impact the skin, mucosal disorders affect the mucous membrane in the mouth and nose passage, and ocular disorders affect the eye. Early identification of melanoma, on the other hand, aids treatment and increases survival rates.
When chemotherapy fails to produce results, targeted therapy, such as BRAF inhibitors, is used. In compared to chemotherapy, targeted therapy has fewer adverse effects. According to Cancer Research Institute, in 2016, there were roughly 76,000 people diagnosed with melanoma in the U.S. The Melanoma Treatment Market is predicted to rise due to the discovery of new medications and combination therapies with fewer side effects and higher survival rates. In the near future, the growing focus on customised treatment, combined with a large investment in anti-melanoma medications, is projected to generate new prospects. However, the market for melanoma treatment is restrained by the high cost of combination medicines and clinical trials with side effects.

neurodiversity discourse has failed us by bolstering the idea that diagnosis and a pathology framework are objectively true, correct, and helpful. it’s failed us by convincing people that this framework is itself correct and simply being carried out by people who don’t carry it out perfectly, instead of making us question the validity of the framework itself, one which has been constructed in service of capitalism, bioessentialism, and binary modes of thinking.
i just saw a post talking about visual phenomena common in autistic people because of neural excitability (phenomena which, for context, is common to literally all people - floaters, visual noise, phosphenes, glare/rays around lights, etc.) and while it was a fun read that could be informative or simply interesting, the way it’s been culturally contextualised within the last few years means that everyone in the comments was like “wow I had no idea this wasn’t normal, I might have autism” “this isn’t normal?? I need to look into this” “could this also be a symptom of x? I have this but I don’t think I have autism” “I experience some of these, I didn’t know it wasn’t normal”
i’m gonna lose my mind! the idea that there is such a thing as a “normal” brain with “average”, “normal”, “totally conventional” modes of function that don’t ever cross over with any characteristics that could be classed as atypical, the idea that brains exist in totally discrete (separate) categories and that anything you experience that is common to a diagnosis or category in general means your brain is now a Part Of That Category is an absolute fucking incredible failure of discourse and the ways it’s taught people to think about the world. the weird part is people have some sense of understanding that this way of thinking is wrong, like when they say “everyone gets sad that doesn’t mean you’re depressed” but can’t seem to broaden that insight to a consistent model of understanding human experience and pathology.
it’s like when people say trans people are valid because we have “male” or “female” brains or whatever and can’t seem to understand that those are somewhat arbitrary average distributions and not discrete categories and by no means can actually class you essentially into a category that was constructed by humans for social, colonial, or capitalist purposes.
edited to add: I feel like people will read this as anti-self-dx or something, when it’s the opposite. I think the culture we’ve built around pathology/neurodiversity/identity mirrors the very institutions it claims to position itself against. there is nothing *inherently* true or liberating about a self-determined diagnosis/label/identity, the same way there isn’t anything *inherently* true or liberating about an externally determined one. doctors are subject to error, bias, and all the effects of working with a framework that’s been created within and in service of broader oppressive systems, the same way *you* are subject to all of this when you go about self-diagnosing. this isn’t about blame or invalidating that endeavour, it’s just really weird to me that people treat self-diagnosis as somehow magically separate from the contexts which create it, not only in terms of the nature of the endeavour but how we conceptualise diagnosis/pathology/identity itself to begin with.
the main differences between self-dx and a doctor’s dx is 1) the doctor has been granted certain social and legal authorities (which are worth critiquing) and 2) involving a doctor means involving another person in the endeavour, which can be both a good and a bad thing. the rest stays generally the same, self-dx doesn’t inherently do anything to meaningfully challenge the medical and social systems that create our understanding of diagnosis, diversity, pathology, etc.
at worst it recreates the exact same ideas and attitudes present in the medical profession which serve the interests of phramaceutical corps, capitalism, the atomization of identities and individuals, bioessentialism, medicalization and pathologization, etc. but presented in a way that makes people think it’s progressive, and at best it simply serves as a way to circumvent barriers which make practical, material sources of aid deeply inaccessible.
as someone who self-dxd as autistic for years before receiving a diagnosis from a psychiatrist, the only thing *both* the self-dx and the psych dx have done is make me feel like many of the traits i was punished for throughout my life aren’t actually a problem and shouldn’t be treated as such, and making me feel like i can do things which allow me to feel more comfortable and functional (stimming, wearing ear plugs/mufflers, not having to look at people’s eyes, having my partner/friends understand my sensory issues so they don’t overstimulate me, understanding my general triggers, having my partner understand non-verbal episodes and working out how to navigate them together, working on not being ashamed to gush/infodump about things but also trying to understand when people aren’t feeling up to listening, not forcing myself to engage with situations or activities i don’t enjoy just because they’re socially standard things, etc.)
heres the fucking thing though!!! i shouldn’t have to have any fucking diagnosis to come to those understandings, self-dx or otherwise!! the understanding that behaviours which don’t harm others don’t need to be frowned down on shouldn’t be contingent on an identity label or diagnosis. behaviours and needs should be acknowledged and approached with care and understanding regardless of who is displaying them or why! the idea that diagnosis, labels, or identity categories legitimize these findings are literally what feeds back into the oppressive structures which gatekeep not only resources but also sympathy and understanding, because we legitimize the idea that these things should be contingent on someone qualifying as a certain category (and implicitly, as not the “opposite” category) to begin with.
the valuable insights and liberation i gained from understanding myself within the autism spectrum, i could’ve gained simply from existing in a context where i wasn’t punished or made to feel ashamed for my broadly harmless behaviours and needs, where i was made aware of things i can do or access to make me feel more comfortable and capable, no label or diagnosis necessary.
imo labels are only as useful as the political organization around them is. if the politics around neurodivergence are creating a dichotomy between “neurodivergent” and “neurotypical”, then these labels are being used in service of creating hyperreductive binaries which don’t accurately represent human experience and needs, and this creates an environment where everyone is clamouring to find ways to qualify as neurodivergent so their needs and behaviours can be legitimized and acknowledged in a context where either you’re neurodivergent and awarded that understanding and sympathy, or you’re neurotypical and awarded the role of the oppressor, with no space or nuance for variations in needs within those groups, or variations in power dynamics within and between.
it’s similar to the issue i have with how we conceptualise transness, cisness, gender, and gender nonconformity when it comes to trying to ascertain people’s needs, sources of oppression, power dynamics, and the points of crisis being faced by people across these categories because of how we structure the systems of gender and our approaches to them, and how “trans vs cis” doesn’t do a good job of reflecting reality. these needs and oppressions often overlap regardless of our insistence on categorizing them into separate, oppositional labels.

Hey !!! I really really liked your how I met your father series it was so cute and since you knew the occupations of some of the guys like akaashi being an editor and some of them going pro, do you happen to know kuroo’s occupation canonically bc I legit somehow cant find it anywhere and I thought maybe you’d know by any chance ??? Sorry to bother you ://///
Tumblr media
Hey anon! Number 1: You are not a bother! I don’t get many messages so this is pretty awesome for me. Number 2: I’m really glad you liked it! That makes me so happy! uwu
Okay, now regarding your question. If the author tells me what happens to a character, I totally have to use it, ya know? Like, their career says so much about who they are! Unfortunately, Furudate hasn’t addressed our baby rooster boy Kuroo and what happens to him. Right now, the only way to get a canon answer is to write Furudate a fan letter and hope it’s answered.
I can only speculate on what sort of field he’d be in. So let’s take what we know:
He’s super intelligent and knows the name of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).
Also, Kenma has stated that he had never failed a test because Kuroo teaches him before them.
My guesses are that he probably ended up in the scientific/medical/academic field, like a scientist that studies phramaceuticals and developing medicines, or becoming any variety of doctor or surgeon even. Or maybe he just has a passion for learning and teaching others and becomes a science professor/teacher.
If you’re a Kuroo stan like me, please keep an eye out on my The Music Series collection! I’ll be writing and releasing Kuroo’s after I’m done with the Miya twins’ entry. :)
xoxo

UPDATE!
It was revealed that Kuroo works in the Japan Volleyball Assocaition sports promotion division as of Nov 2018!

I wonder if due to Mercy's advancements in the medical field, how pharmaceuticals play in (I currently work for a pharmacy and it made me wonder... cause I have discovered pharmacists have a better idea of doctor's jobs than doctor's due of pharmacists. But with the nanobiology would medicine play less of a role? Depending upon which places have her tech of course.)
Oh, this one is interesting. I can't say I am too familiar with the field of nanotechnology/nanomedicine/nanobiotechnology/whichever term is the correct one. I know these terms have nuanced definitions but am unsure as to the exact differentiators.
(I believe the reason why pharmacists have a better idea of doctor's job is because they have to essential audit or double check the prescriptions to determine if it is within the doctor's jurisdiction, whether the prescription amount is reasonable, etc. Doctors just kind of work in a one-way street. Not to say one is more knowledgeable than the other or anything, it's just their job roles require them to know different things.)
Anyway, Mercy' nanobiotics, according to one of the wikis, 'does not involve nanorobotics or similar technology'. This presents one of the first questions we have to ask: "What the fuck is it?" And then: "What are its capabilities and limits?" Without knowing this, we can't say definitively that it will make medicine obsolete. It may even change it in such a way that it advances specific areas of the field.
Does Mercy's nanotechnology only deal with physical injuries? Does it handle viruses and disease? Infections? Is it a one-size fits all? Does different nanobiotic medicine need to be adjusted or specific nanobiotic medicine need to be prescribed per person? How does it work on humans and omnics? Are they different? There's a lot here to dismantle.
For now, we can say that her technology isn't making any waves to distrupt the phramaceutical industry. There's some bit in her wiki about her technologies never making it out to the general public. This can be for a number of reasons, some which sound like conspiracy theories and other, more reasonable things.
1) It could be because it is too difficult or expensive to manufacture on a global scale. 2) No government wants to use technology that was developed by the currently despised Overwatch or someone who was the head of anything at Overwatch. 3) Governments and militaries (and maybe the rich and famous) are coveting it so that only they can use it. 4) The technology could upset the medicial field in a bad way and/or cut into profits, so the indsutry wants to maintain the current status quo. 5) Mercy herself doesn't want to release the blueprints to her technology because she's afraid of getting burned again and her technology getting weaponized on a much larger scale.
So I can’t say pharmaceuticals, either the profession or industry, will be disappearing in Overwatch’s 2076. But it’s definitely an interesting thought, thank you.

Doctor Albright Pharmacy Advices
Many companies have clearly stated policies that govern drug usage. Brand manufacturers suffered the steep investment costs innovating the drug so generic manufacturers do not have to go through the same. In fact, Consumer Reports has tested many of these products and found that paper towels and food storage bags perform the same whether they are generic or name brand. If you notice that you or someone else you know is becoming more tolerant of the drugs they are taking and require a larger dose, then that is a sign that they may have a dependency. Avoid taking iron supplements with milk products such as cow's milk, yogurt, chocolate, and cheeses, due it making the stomach weak which can cause diarrhea. Most retirees recognize the need for making home modifications, as making even small changes can create a more accessible environment for older adults. He did this during his presentation on “temporal illusions” when he was reviewing the data on how to “manipulate temporal order” such that sensory experiences originate in the mind rather than from the environment. Whether you have family members who have to take care of your health-related needs or if you just want to save some money, using an online chemists makes sense. The good news is that there are many great reasons to switch from your local chemists to an internet ordering. When they are improperly packed, they’re prone to damage in transit. Phramaceutical sales jobs are prestigious, exciting, and rewarding, but come with the challenges of competitiveness and stress. Symptoms after being bitten are nausea, vomiting, headaches, stomach cramps, dizziness and possibly convulsions. If pharmaceuticals are not earmarked for Canadian citizens, they are not subject to the Canadian government's safety regulations. This yields greater social benefits and allows Canadian pharmacies to proposition these drugs to consumers at surprisingly moo prices. Consumers can save even more money on prescription medications. It is a shame when we live in the land of milk and honey yet many individuals cannot even afford life saving drugs. Oncologists and their patients may be more willing to try off-label drugs than other medical specialties. Try not to pass it on to other people. Tips For Removing A Possum From Your Roof?
And of course you want one that will relieve the annoying symptoms such as burning, itching, and anal discomfort as fast as possible. What Are the Symptoms of Prescription Drug Abuse? They are used in pretty much all industries, from manufacturing to warehousing, to automate the transport of items. Phramaceutical sales jobs are prestigious, exciting, and rewarding, but come with the challenges of competitiveness and stress. This will help to repel possums because these chips come from quassia plants which are usually native to South America and Central America. This is because these types of pillow and mattresses covers are allergen protectors. Fashion houses and retailers, grocery stores and supermarkets and pharmacies are just some of the types of companies that are relying on their already established business and brand to build a new one and reach more people via the internet. This is why Web Advertising is so various from other more intrusive mediums for marketing and product sales. So why do some people prefer name brand Viagra over generic Viagra? Canadian drugstore online believes that cervical cancer is one of the leading causes why women take Canadian prescription drugs , and if not alleviated in its early stage could to death. In buying your drugs online, the only person that needs to know you’re procuring them is you ‘ and you’re the one that counts the most in this decision, anyway. Have fun finding one you'd like to crochet. You should also trim any overhanging branches on your tree or near the tree in order to ensure that it does not have access to your roof again. In addition to the high-quality advanced care that the NHS provides, it has also been made as easy to access as possible. It should be possible to make a totally non-alcoholic version by force carbonating the root beer. I understand that cooling root beer after the "four days" stops the fermentation. Mostly people decide to open a private company to substantiate an e-commerce activity and this article would cover that aspect alone. Opioids surpassed drug overdose related deaths, compared to cocaine and heroin, in 1999-2002. In 2002 alone over 16,000 people died in the United States alone due to overdoses. A healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables and drinking plenty of water may also help prevent and manage bladder infections. If you have been diagnosed with bladder infection and consider taking vitamin C and other supplements for this condition, talk to your health care provider. The Federal Stark law prohibits physicians from referring Medicare/Medicaid beneficiaries to an entity in which they (or an immediate family member) have a financial relationship for designated health services (“DHS”), unless an exception applies. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has released a concept note discussing establishment of the National eHealth Authority (NeHA) for India in the past. Providing a home to a possum family is a good way to encourage them to stay and claim your yard as their territory. Which will reduce your travel expenses and you can give more time to your loving pet and family. You can go to alcoholism treatment for more. Sending marketing pieces to companies is still a popular option, but reaching more customers is the main goal. In doing this, your customers will trust you and will seek you out when they require your services. Every time I read one, I want to run out and buy the products. Since plans and prices vary by geography, you should input your zip code and the exact prescriptions and dosages to find out which will result in the lowest out-of-pocket costs - even if you currently don't take any drugs! Internet Pharmacies are a problem because they will sell drugs to anyone with an address and a credit card. Digital thermometers are better, though disposable ones in the form of plastics strips with temperature sensitive dots are very useful. Allergy is a continuing ailment if you are not looking for treatment. Cutting down alcohol usage is yet another life style adjust which will assist in relieving this unpleasant condition. Does Vitamin C Make You Urinate? Vitamin C accelerates the collagen production in our cells which firms the skin; helps prevent fine lines and premature aging of the skin. I remember being very young and my mother attempting to show me how to crochet and to knit which she found difficult. So it becomes really important to diagnose and get proper treatments and medication for diabetes at its early stage. I have a great recipe for you that is cheap, canada online pharmacy fun and quite easy to prepare! 4. It is advisable to have a map of the vacation spot and surrounding area's with you wherever you go. The flu is a highly contagious respiratory infection that is spread through coughing and sneezing. The prominent among them is ransomware that encrypts the sensitive healthcare information and decrypts the same only once the ransom is paid. This isn't good at all for a couple of reasons. • Group practices should document the method used to calculate profit shares or productivity bonuses and the resulting amounts of compensation. Will there be a war before the election?

“ Wag the dog ~Remember when Bill Clinton felt pressured by the Monica Levinsky revelations? He decided that the perfect antitode to that political scandal was not to answer her claims honestly and not to speak clearly to the U.S. public, but he decided to bomb Afghanistan and Sudan. The U.S. cruise missiles that struck Sudan — for no good reason — destroyed the country’s main phramaceutical factory; the name of the factory was Al-Shifa, or healing in Arabic. The absence of a domestic phramaceutical manufacturing unit continues to harm Sudan’s people. That was the most cynical use of U.S. power in our times; it was done in August 1998, just months after Barry Levinson’s film “Wag the Dog” showed a U.S. politician use war to divert attention from a domestic scandal. Life imitated art, which imitates life.
If there is a war, Biden and the Democrats will be forced to rally behind Trump, and that would be that. The 45th president would have a second term.”

Does BC Premier Christy Clark have a sketchy reputation?
The Victoria Times-Colonist's editorial board recently suggested Clark's "ethical standards" do not reflect "the values British Columbians should expect from political parties."
Meanwhile, the Globe and Mail's editorial board said Clark's BC Liberal government is "addicted to money" and added that "the perception that corporate money is influencing government decisions is impossible to avoid."
From sketchy donations to dodgy expenses to unethical conduct to straight-up scandals, here are 41 times Clark's BC Liberal government showed that after all these years in power, they might not have a lot of integrity:
1) Alleging her rivals hacked her party's website with no evidence
Without any evidence whatsoever, Clark claimed the opposition NDP had launched a cyber attack against the BC Liberal website. While that might sound like the dictionary definition of "lying" to you, Clark later clarified she had merely "jumped to conclusions."
2) Making tens of thousands with disabilities pay $579 more for bus passes
Showing their compassionate side, the Clark government clawed back discounted bus passes for 55,000 disabled British Columbians – a group already more likely to face unemployment and poverty.
3) Picking an ex-Fraser Institute director to implement BC's climate change plan
Nothing screams serious about climate change like tapping a former director from a right-wing think tank that doubts the science behind climate change, right?
4) Getting her climate change ripped apart by her own experts
Late on a Friday afternoon in August, the Premier quietly released her so-called "climate leadership plan" – a plan so ineffective at dealing with climate change it was dismissed by one expert as "pathetic and cowardly".
5) Getting lobbied more than 10,000 times by her own oil and gas donors
An investigation by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives identified nearly ten thousand contacts between officials at BC government ministries and agencies between 2010 and 2016.
6) Skipping an important vote on transgender rights to attend a partisan fundraiser
Of course Clark somehow found time to go to the photo op.
7) All the donations from other provinces
If all the donations from oil lobbyists wasn't bad enough, it turns out only a small percentage even comes from BC in the first place – most comes from companies headquartered next door in Alberta.
8) All the donations from other countries
It's illegal most places in Canada, but not in Christy Clark's BC – a recent investigation by the Globe and Mail showed Clark's BC Liberals are taking "cash from offshore oil and gas companies, European pharmaceutical companies and Beijing investment firms."
9) All the donors getting public sector contracts
As of October 2016, three-quarters of companies awarded with plumb, sole-sourced contracts by Clark's government are also Liberal party donors. But that's just a coincidence, surely?
10) Selling public land to BC Liberal donors for a cheap price
Of course that actually happened too.
11) Spending millions on partisan ads
Spending $15 million on cynical partisan ads while cutting public services and asking everyone to tighten their belts?
12) Hiring a staffer facing criminal charges
In 2013, the BC Liberals hired former Ontario Liberal staffer Laura Miller as its Executive Director. Not long after, Miller was charged with breach of trust, mischief and misuse of a computer system to commit mischief alongside Dalton McGuinty’s former chief of staff David Livingston.
13) Rehiring the same staffer facing criminal charges
Despite briefly stepping out of the picture, Miller was subsequently rehired as the BC Liberal Party Executive Director. She has since been appointed the party's campaign chief.
14) Spending more than $500,000 on private flights
Why take a commercial flight when a private one will do?
15) Billing taxpayers for a private flight to a fundraising dinner
In April 2016, Clark billed the public $6,054 for a Learjet to fly to Prince George. The reason? A photo op and a visit to the BC Liberals' annual northern fundraising dinner.
16) Triple-deleting all those emails
Back in 2015, BC's Information Commissioner found that the practice of triple deleting e-mails – shielding the government from Freedom of Information requests – was a "routine practice" among Clark government staffers.
17) Billing taxpayers $3,000 for dinner
Oysters: $3,267.66.
18) Leaking a "secret strategy document"
The BC Liberals claimed they obtained the NDP's "secret strategy document" which actually turned out to be a Microsoft Word document highlighting the party's plan to boost living standards for working and middle class families as fight climate change – very sinister sounding stuff!
19) Taking salary top ups from the BC Liberal Party
Clark is already earns a six figure salary as the Premier of BC. So a lot of people were surprised to learn Clark was also paid between $30,000 and $50,000 each year by her own party for fundraising work.
20) Yogagate
In one of BC's weirdest scandals, Clark's government decided to celebrate International Yoga Day instead of National Aboriginal Day and shut down a major Vancouver bridge at a cost of $150,000 for a yoga event.
21) Spending nearly $1 million on government photos
It turns out all those smiling photos of Christy Clark and her cabinet ministers don't come cheap!
22) That time a Liberal MLA claimed the LGBT community is 'dominating' Christians
During debate on Bill 27, legislation to add "gender identity or expression" to the human rights code BC Liberal MLA Laurie Throness argued that recognizing gender identity as a human right is akin to discrimination against those whose views on gender are "rooted in Christian faith." Seriously.
23) Sending a staffer to spy on an NDP meeting with youth
Well, that's pretty desperate.
24) Insulting whistle-blowers
When a former staffer blew the whistle on the "widespread" and "most likely systemic" destruction of e-mail records by Clark's government to avoid FOI requests, Clark's government responded by painting him as a bad employee.
25) Spending $1 million to upgrade the church Clark goes to
The BC government gave a downtown Vancouver church a massive upgrade worth $1 million. By some coincidence, it also happened to be the same one Clark says she regularly attends.
26) Promoting a company Clark once chaired
According to leaked documents, Clark once served as chairwoman of a company she has regularly touted on official government business since becoming Premier.
27) Allegedly interfering in a local election to help her brother
After announcing a $150,000 community grant, Clark faced accusation she was helping a candidate in a local band election who supported her brother's $10 million wind farm project.
28) Not telling the truth about BC's job creation numbers
In 2012, Clark claimed BC was number one in job creation. That was not true.
29) Getting investigated by Elections BC over donations from lobbyists
Last week, Elections BC announced it had launched an investigation into reports that some lobbyists may have had their personal donations to the BC Liberal party reimbursed by third parties.
30) Also,  getting investigated by the RCMP for those same reimbursements
Only five days after Elections BC announced its investigation, the RCMP announced its Sensitive Investigations Unit – a unit often tasked with fighting organized crime – is now looking into the alleged "cleansing" of political donations.
31) Giving a $39 million mortgage to a condo developer
Why did BC Housing lend $39 million to the developer of condo project that had nothing to do with social housing?
32) Releasing a jobs ad full of false claims
The ad's claims completely fell apart.
33) Declaring victory after losing a Supreme Court battle to avoid investing in schools
The Supreme Court dealt a monumental defeat to Clark and her government ending their 14 year battle with BC's teachers. But despite having fought against the teachers and their demands in court, the Premier suddenly started singing the praises of the court-ordered investments as if they were her own idea.
34) Apologizing to "ethnic" voters
Widespread outrage followed a leaked document showed the Clark government planned to apologize for historic injustices as a "quick win" designed to "improve our chances of winning swing ridings by better engaging supporters from ethnic communities."
35) Mysteriously firing health researchers
Eight researchers and contractors at the BC Ministry of Health were unceremoniously fired in 2012. The government claims they breached the privacy of patient files and the police are investigating. The dismissed researchers suggest the real reason they were fired had to do with the influence of phramaceutical companies, who also happen to be big BC Liberal donors. In the mean time, the researchers are unable to work and one commits suicide.
It later turns out there's a problem with the BC government's claims about a police investigation – the investigation never actually existed.
36) Making stuff up about the government's record
During a 2013 radio interview, Clark made a series of claims about her government's record on deficits, debt, and the province's credit rating. None of Clark's claims were true.
37) Getting sued because of partisan advertising
The Clark government's partisan ads are so over-the-top, two Vancouver criminal lawyers are now suing the government of BC in an attempt to stop the government's pre-election advertising.
38) Universities hiring Liberal lobbyists to lobby the BC Liberal government
In 2009, Kwantlen Polytechnic University spent $177,000 to hire a Liberal insider to lobby provincial cabinet ministers and MLAs. At the time Amrik Virk, who was then the minister of technology, innovation and citizen's services, also sat on KPU's board.
39) Approving a polluted-soil dump upstream from 12,000 people
Heavy metals, petroleum, and nitrite contaminated soil and groundwater relied upon by a Vancouver Island community of 12,000 residents.
40) Taking millions from developers
In 2016 most of the BC Liberal Party's top donors came from either developers or the construction industry. Just eight donors contributed nearly $1.5 million of the $12.5 million total collected by the Liberals that year. Maybe that has something to do with Clark's awful record on housing affordability?
41) All those cash-for-access scandals
Can't forget all those BC Liberal donors who are also doing business with the BC government.
As the Globe and Mail's editorial board recently described this "world-class conflict-of-interest":
It's "a situation where companies seeking government contracts, approvals or tax breaks can give unlimited sums of money to the governing party. Lobbyists in the province have told The Globe and Mail they feel they need to donate, or their entreaties on behalf of their clients will be ignored."
Mind you, most of this stuff wouldn't fly in virtually any other Canadian province – only in Christy Clark's British Columbia.
Reminder: The BC election is on May 9th, 2017. Please vote.
