I am finishing Crooked Kingdom and I am SCREAMING. Parts or phrases that made me feral:

Matthias chapter 40: my chest HURTS. Matthias had such an amazing journey!! He wanted to do good, he died leaving the hate with which he was raised behind!! He wanted Nina to save those boys of Fjerda like him!!!!!!

Wylan going “I’ll say whatever you want, Father. Just don’t let them hurt me anymore.” Because like what a BADASS move?! Also him pretending to be able to read!!! Power move! I adore him so much.

Jesper telling Van Eck “I’ll read to him.” As in I’ll read to Wylan, as in I will not leave him, as in I LOVE THAT MAN?!

I just realized 31 Minutos is not in fact a world wide experience and I feel like it fits so well with tumblr and basically shaped my sense of humor.

For context: There is a chilean tv show that’s called 31 Minutos (31 minutes) and it was about like puppets (but literally made out of anything, like there was one that was a microphone with googly eyes or another one that was a sock) that had a news channel and so they had various like reports about stuff. They also singed quite a lot. And it’s truly hilarious and a meme. There is an iconic song in which a doll has an existential crisis over being a doll, specifically a puppet: in the middle he’s like “I am a plastic man who has feelings and can love” And I think it’s hilarious.

He’s also like: “I am a plastic man that deserves respect and humanity” but in the most hilarious voice ever, and the song lasts like one minute and that’s it, it doesn’t even have music, it’s entirely acapella

Iconic and still cracks me up.

It makes me so happy that Society of the Snow tells the story with so much respect towards survivors and even those who didn’t make it. It’s beautiful that families could have some sort of closure with it. Every actor gave their all and involved themselves so much in the story, truly a movie with so much heart.

As a latin american it makes me happy that Bayona took care of telling the story with actors with a rioplatense accent, like the survivors. This story had to be told that way: with respect, realness and love.

I am hoping it wins the Oscar for best international movie, imo, it should’ve been nominated for best film period.

I am bored and love fictional characters so much, so here’s a list of my dearest characters, in no particular order, and comments on why I love them and they are my everything:

1. Sansa Stark - Game of Thrones

She went through hell and back at merely 14-17 years old and people hate her for starting out as a sheltered girl…which she was. She played the game and was so so resilient, literally had her naiveness/hope beaten out of her and she was still able to see kindness in the world and be a merciful person to those who deserved it. I love her and can’t understand why would anyone hate her.

2. Ser Davos - Game of Thrones

Literally everyone’s father in GoT. He is loyal, sweet and GOOD. He loved Shireen when Stannis couldn’t be bothered, and then stood with Jon through it all. Love him.

3. Inej Ghafa - Six of Crows

She is a SWEETHEART. Has been through so much and still remains sweet and hopeful and strong. A beacon of light and a goddamn QUEEN.

4. Richie Lipschitz - Nerdy Prudes Must Die

My sweet nerd boy. He is doing his best, he was so full of life. He is sweet and a weirdo. He deserved so much better and HE’S NOT A LOSER.

5. Wylan Van Eck - Six of Crows

A talented intelligent boy. Fuck his father fr. Taken for granted but has saved the crew so many times. He is so so sweet and TALENTED!!

6. Rhaenyra Targaryen - House of the Dragon

She is my queen idc. My girl deserves that throne more than any men. She is sweet and the best mother and such a beautiful soul. Smart and resourceful.

7. Dean Winchester - Supernatural

Such a comfort character. A good person, strong, smart and did I mention good??? He is so good, but doesn’t accept shit from anyone! He is sassy and funny! And such a mom, that man is Sam’s mom and did an amazing job. COMFORT CHARACTER.

8. Bucky Barnes - Marvel Cinematic Universe

Speaking of comfort characters. He deserves better, he deserves to rest, he deserves a break. A good person, an amazing person who went through hell and still remained good.

Started reading Six Of Crows and I’m in love?? They’re all so hateable yet I love them?? Kaz sure is a stone cold murderer I think deep down, very deep down he might be a sweetheart. Matthias stop being an ass I know you love Nina. But also Nina dear you seem like the only stable person there pls do something. Jesper definitely has adhd. Inej is a queen but girl pls go to therapy. Is Wylan pronounced Wee-lan or Why-lan? I don’t know half of the names and places mentioned every chapter I’m so lost but it’s slowly making sense?? Yeah.
