I’ve noticed that the Disney’s Peter Pan (mostly Captain Hook) fandom is a lot more alive on here than any other social media. I’m very new to Tumblr and have no idea how it works so excuse my lack of knowledge!

Ahoy! A little something something I worked on last year and now it’s finally up for grabs! I was waiting for the perfect moment to reveal this for you and today seemed like a good day to revisit my favorite pirate! Ugh, so hot here today. A swim with the mermaids would be so nice! 🧜🏻♀️

Peter sits on the balcony of James and Lily's flat, smoking a dying cigarette. The door opens and Sirius plops down next to him.
"You alright, Petey?"
"Yeah. Yeah I'm fine." Peter says as he finishes his cigarette, throws it in the pile with the others he's already finished tonight and lights another.
"You're not though. You only ever chain smoke when your worried. What's wrong?" Sirius looks at him, obviously concerned. And Peter hates it.
"I'm scared." he says without realising, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'm really fucking scared."
"What of?" Sirius asks.
"The baby. I'm going to be a shit dad, I just know it. James is amazing with Harry and I'm never as good as James at anything. An-and Pands is just incredible and I don't deserve her. And she's so excited and I don't want to worry her because it's not long now till she's due. I just know I'm going to fuck my kid up, one way or another." He takes a drag of his cigarette and loudly sighs.
Sirius just stares and says "You won't be Pete. Your fucking incredible. You're always the first to notice when any of us is ill. And you always listen when we have problems. Any kid of yours will be lucky to have you as a dad."
Peter doesn't say anything, just stares at the cars below them. "I never thought I'd end up in London."
"What?"
"I've always wanted to stay in Scotland. Me and Pandora have been talking, when the baby's a bit older we might move. I know houses are expensive and stuff but we'll make it work." He takes another drag while Sirius looks at him.
"You would move away from us?" Sirius looks at him, his big blue eyes wide.
"You can always Floo."
"It won't be the same. That's why I brought all of our flats. I never wanted to leave you guys. I never wanted to leave Reggie either. Not again. That's why I brought ones for his friends. I've got too much money. Doesn't matter if I spend it on my favourite people." The last bit suprises Peter. Sure they were The Marauders but within that there was a trio. And then a duo. He doesn't mind it that much. He's been best friends with Mary since they were 13. But there's still that nagging at the back of his mind. The little voice telling him that he's replacable.
"I'm one of your favourite people?" he asks.
Sirius smiles. "Course you are. You're our Wormy. We wouldn't be the same without you. Fuck it. I wouldn't be the same without you. You're one of my best mates Pete."
Peter sits in a stunned silence before he replies. "You're one of my best mates too."
"I love you Petey."
"I love you too Sirius."
And with that, Peter's future seems a little brighter. He has his friends, his beautiful girlfriend and a little baby girl on the way. He'll be ok. They'll be ok.

Fall Little Wendy Bird Fall (feat. Tony Halliwell)
Whatever the Peter Pan horror movie does it won’t be as good as this. Honestly, Tink would be great as the horror cause she’s fae. Though I like to think this version of Tinkerbell still cares about Peter. She’s just dealing with a lot.

i learned that fairy dust was not mentioned in the original version of Peter Pan, but the author added it as a necessity to enable the children to fly because "so many children tried [to fly] from their beds and needed surgical attention." (x)
