headcanon that whenever percy returns home from a date with annabeth, and he does that thing where he presses his back against the door and slides down to the floor with dreamy look in his eyes. and sally and paul, both beaming with happiness for their son, asks if the date went well. and he just sighs and smiles like he just saw elysium himself.

gotta give it to the percy jackson fans, you really do love your main character. for other franchises, fans usually place the #1 blorbo title on a specific side character. but in percy jackson you really love your percy jackson

imagine being someone at new rome university and not knowing percy is the same guy as “percy jackson, son of poseidon, two-time hero of olympus, former praetor” because the thought doesn’t even cross your mind. like… he’s percy. he’s a total frat boy. on a normal night, he walks into a party, refers to everyone as bro or dude, socializes with every living (and not-living) person in the room, makes at least 50 sarcastic comments, plays 12 rounds of beer pong, drinks way too much, and then skates around campus on his skateboard yelling “I LOVE NEW YORK” (which makes no sense, because they’re in california) until someone calls his girlfriend to come get him.

and then one day there’s an attack, and frat boy percy is all of a sudden a fighting machine. he’s yelling battle cries alongside the praetors frank zhang and hazel levesque as they lead everyone into battle. (why is he with the praetors? and why…. why in the world do the praetors seem to be following his lead?) his sword slashes through armies of monsters faster than you’ve ever seen. he’s controlling the entire river surrounding the camp, creating huge waves as tall as skyscrapers that crash down all around him, wiping out monsters and causing mass destruction to his enemies’ ranks. the sky is suddenly dark above you, ice-cold water droplets are slashing through the air, and the wind is blowing so aggressively that it’s making it hard to stand up steadily. because he’s somehow created a hurricane.

and he looks terrifying. you can feel the power radiating off of him. he’s like a god. or maybe a monster. it’s hard to tell. you’re a little scared of him, to be honest. but also in total awe, because it’s extraordinary. he’s extraordinary.

rick riordan has his faults but he does know how to handle a main character who is like. supremely op. like yeah percy can make hurricanes with his mind but he'd rather go smoke weed with his girlfriend and his mom so he's not that big of a threat .

the way the trio reacts to a weird guy on a motorcycle asking if they need help by just being like “no thanks:) we’re good, no help needed:))))” and ducking back down behind the traffic barrier 😭😭😭

Annabeth is so much stronger then me I'm just saying if my mum got pissed and punished me for something my field trip partner did after i was nothing but the perfect child for the last 5 years meanwhile the guy who actually did the thing got nothing but praise from his dad yeah no Luke wouldn't even have time to ask me if I wanted to fight against the gods I'd already be starting my own revolution

Leah Jeffries is playing Annabeth like she's one thousand years old in the body of a twelve-year-old and she is so correct.

i think that percy and annabeth's relationship is so healing for both of them. like, our girl has severe abandonment issues but managed to pull the guy whose fatal flaw is unwavering loyalty. and our boy has severe self-esteem issues but managed to pull the girl who consistently chooses him. i love these two so much.

See THIS is why I trust the writers because the whole point of the deadline passing was so we could SEE Poseidon surrendering for Percy. The show has given Poseidon a more active and loving role in Percys life. The gods pride would never let them surrender to one another. But Poseidon knew his brother wouldn’t spare his son’s life. And he knew the only thing that would spare his son’s life was him surrendering. ALSO FURTHER CEMENTING THAT PERCY IS HIS FAVORITE CHILD! The writers pens this episode>>>

everyone always commenting on how sweet percy is for dropping super romantic comments about annabeth, or their cutest moments together and funniest convos. and don’t get me wrong, i’m just as much a sucker for those as you guys are

but for me, it’s the little things that show how much he loves her that makes me so obsessed with them. like in chalice of the gods, he borrows her hat to complete the quest and afterwards, he puts it back to her size for her. it such a small thing to do - something annabeth likely won’t even notice - but it’s so effortlessly thoughtful. not to mention that despite how rushed he was when he put it on, he paid attention to what size it was for her much smaller head.

annabeth is a strong, determined, intimidating - many even say scary - young woman. and percy knows that better than anyone. but like… he takes care of her. he takes cares of her in both big ways and little ways that no one ever has for her, i just- UGHHHGH
