So while I do not like this friendship that Eloise is going to have with Cressida I do think it will be good for her in the long run.

We all seen Eloise struggle with empathy, most of the times she doesn't even try to be empathetic to her own siblings, much less people outside of her household. I think this new friendship with Cressida is going to give her a crash course by making Eloise what Penelope was in their friendship.

What got me started thinking this was Claudia Jessie's comment about how Cressida was kind to Eloise during a time that no one else was. Then we saw them in those brief moments interacting. Eloise's outfit complimented Cressida's when they were walking together. Then at the show Eloise is shown to be leaning in towards Cressida while Cressida is sitting up straight and looking forward.

At the moment it very much gives off that Cressida is the one leading between the two of them, a spot Eloise took up in her friendship with Penelope. Which it wouldn't surprise me if Eloise was taking this step back approach. Look at the mess she got into last season by choosing to beat to her own drum. Perhaps she thought she needed to actually join in and put some effort on society functions this season. (Which honestly wouldn't be bad for her either) My question for this though is how far is Eloise going to take this new direction and at what point is she going to realize that what is potentially happening to her with Cressida is what she did to Penelope. I think Colin could potentially play a role in that by pointing it out to Eloise, they are supposed to grow closer this season. But we'll see where it leads. Either way I do think it will benefit her in the long run with her empathy struggle, especially with her future storyline with Phillip.

I also think this might our chance to learn more about Cressida and other debutants. Cressida has been the stereotypical mean girl, queen bee thrown into a regency setting. But we also know her mother thinks little of her accomplishments with only a big dowry in her favor and that's pretty much it. Be interesting to dive into her mind a little bit and take a look at her motives. Even if they are self-serving and her trying to gain social capital via befriending the most popular family in the ton. I don't think she'll necessarily will be redeemed or turn genuinely nice, but I do think we'll get some explanations for her behavior.

The first four episodes of The Boys spin-off drama, Gen V, premiered on Prime Video to fantastic reviews from critics, viewers, and fans of The Boys series, who are enthralled by Gen V's wicked badassery. The universe is expanded to Godolkin University, where the ensemble cast encounters dramatic events amid their supe-style power struggles and never-ending partying. Hey just wanna ask. I read a clerith claiming that the Jail scene dialogue from OG is the ultimate Clerith scene ever because Cloud chose to flirt with Tifa with aerith in front of her. Enough to put her off. Uh I'm still currently replaying OG on my 2nd run but sources stating "there's obvious mutual attraction" going on with them? Makes my stomach churn for some reason probably because I'm kind of pissed off of Soldier Cloud being this way. Why did SE gotta do Tifa like that and put them together in one jail cell only for her to get hurt like that?? Wtf?

I swear to God if they don't make up a CLOSURE on why he's supposedly "attracted" "mutual attraction" to aerith, flirting with her saying wtvr in OG (Im not thinking of what's canon, the act itself exist it shows a perspective) I'm never going to forgive SE.

Im tired of them making Tifa out to be the second choice, or an aftermath after (she's always been the first choice wtf!? Where are all these shitty "he liked A more but settled with T" coming from??). She wasn't like Aerith who openly flirted with cloud because ignorance is a bliss. She liked Cloud the most but held back the most for obvious reasons out of worry, and they be letting cloud hurt her like that?? Wtf?? Tifa doesn't deserve that! She deserves so much more.

HELL NO WAY, I'm not gonna accept that True Cloud had a tinge of romantic interest / infatuation in aerith, that thing be better related to Zack or his Soldier Persona's needs (a fantasy that needs to be reciprocated to exist).

Plus if it was so important, wtf take away that scene all together? Why make cloud like he couldn't care less about aerith after saving her in remake (Barret doesn't even say stuff about him caring so much for A unlike in OG)? Even though a part of me sees this whole charade as a red herring, it pisses me off to my core that it's hardly given closure.

Ugh if they didn't just wanted to make sure people would be saddened by her death, they wouldn't need to put Tifa in the back burner for a huge chunk of the first parts because she gonna die early then. I'm so glad they've focused more on Tifa early on and you sure as hell would count on me to pray that her date would be the only one we'd be gettin on rebirth.

PS I just want to see Tifa happy, without the feelings of inadequacy. That she's the only one True Cloud ever loved and was attracted for. Otherwise, people will think again she's some martyr when her promise and moments literally gets NTR'd by aerith who took advantage of cloud to reminisce about Zack. I swear Tifa's a saint for caring about aerith in OG when the latter treated her really awfully. Ugh, she better be the enlightened version in remake because I sure as hell don't forgive OG aerith for causing her such sadness and pain (ngl A's pretty spoiled compared to what the others have gone through, I'm kinda pissed because most of the time she doesn't even deserve it).

Also, Claudia's line where city girls might be a source of temptation and distraction made me think of Jessie and aerith. Wherein he'd be needing Tifa, the mature one to balance him out.

Sorry, got pretty pissed. the only reason I'm tolerating and trying to understand Cloud here is because I love Tifa. And because I love her, I do really want to Like him too. Damn I feel like a combination of Marle and Brian.

It's okay, they're dumb and deluded. Also, that jail cell scene doesn't exist in remake so they're clinging to something Nojima removed because it didn't fit how the characters and plot were set out.

Fun fact: Toriyama wrote all of Aerith's scenes with Cloud in Midgar, so all annoying nonsense is his fanfiction at work since Nojima literally took it all out 🤣

They bring this up every few months because they think there was flirting and they love that mistranslation they throw around because to them "peevish/complicated" means jealousy and that there's something between Cloud and some chick he literally just met when he's been pining for Tifa since he was nine.

Basically it's about Tifa's feelings of insecurity and that as much as she likes Cloud, she feels like he's out of her league. It doesn't really have anything to do with Aerith, it could be any girl making her feel inadequate, but she feels out of sorts because she considers Aerith a friend and doesn't know how to resolve these conflicting emotions.

Never mind the devs put Cloud and Tifa in the same cell together, but sure, there's totally a moment happening elsewhere. If that was true, why is he with Tifa? That's basically saying the devs are assholes who wanna make Tifa miserable for kicks.

Yeah, I doubt it. Nomura said this in '97 that Tifa's the canon route and Aerith is the extra for players who wanna. With Remake they're not even entertaining that shit and having Cloud all over Tifa like the game is M rated and they'll be banging any second 🤭

Chrissy as Mary-Anne Spier. HEAR ME OUT, because I know Chrissy is aesthetically the Stacey BUT Mary-Anne is quiet and reserved until you piss her off and then she turns into Little Miss I Love Myself and gets sassy haircuts and is the only member of the BSC with a boyfriend AND if she's Mary Anne I can kill off Laura.

For Claudia Lynn Kishi, I'm going back and forth on El or Will, because El has a very unique sense of fashion, and would probably do well with some of Claudia's canonical outfits, while Will is a talented artist who probably needs his own phone line since he keeps breaking his mother's when he calls her from the Upside Down.

Argyle as Dawn Read Schafer because he has long hair and is from California and some people find him annoying but I like him.

Steve as Anastasia "Stacey" Elizabeth "Boontsie" McGill because if he was from New York City he'd probably talk a lot about being from New York City. Also he probably has the nickname Boontsie.

Barb as Mallory Pike because Mallory is a horse girl and Barb gives me big horse girl energy. (Also lol that Mallory doesn't have a middle name? I guess her parents forgot? I don't really care for Mallory.)

Max as Jessi Davis Ramsey because nobody on Stranger Things is canonically a dancer BUT Jessi was cool and precocious and hung out with older kids while being suave, just like Max.

Erica as Shannon Louisa Kilbourne because she gets. shit. done. and you can't spell America without Erica. Seriously, though, Shannon was a high-achieving mfer with no patience for fools.

Eddie as Logan Bruno SIMPLY for Mary Anne proximity but also because I think making Logan a metalhead would be the most interesting thing that anyone ever did for Logan's character.

Robin as Abby Stevenson because she showed up late in the series, stole my heart, and is definitely a lesbian. Abby also doesn't have a middle name, so that's fun.

This leaves me with Lucas, Mike, Jonathan, and Dustin if I'm doing main cast. SORRY, KIDS. Let's see how many "other" characters I remember from Stoneybrook.

Lucas as Sam Thomas because Sam seemed cool and was kind of a jock but still had time to flirt inappropriately with Stacey, but in this universe we'll say it's APPROPRIATE flirting with Max-as-Jessi and Lucas-as-Sam is 11 not 15.

Mike as Trevor Sandbourne because IIRC Trevor dated Claudia for a while which works if you are a Byler OR a Mileven shipper, which probably says a lot about why both those ships are fun!

Jonathan as Bart Taylor because of the Nancy proximity, only instead of coaching a kid's softball team, he takes pictures for the yearbook and Nancy, in addition to running the BSC, a softball team, solving 70 mysteries, and going on many trips around the world in various Super Specials, is also the editor of the yearbook.

Dustin as Janine Kishi simply because Janine was a geek who liked computers and shit, and Dustin enjoys such things. I'm sorry, Dustin! The BSC did not have as many nerd tropes as I needed!

Father: Ferdia Dermot Seamus Kennedy [deceased, 1858-1892]

Born in 1858, Ferdia was the eldest child of Seamus and Aileen Kennedy’s four children. He had two younger brothers, born in 1862 and 1865, and a younger sister, Muriel, born in 1863. Ferdia had a good childhood, growing up in Whitethorn Hall alongside his younger siblings. He started Hogwarts in 1869 and was quickly sorted into Gryffindor. He was a popular student, gaining the positions of prefect and headboy as well as playing for his house’s quidditch team as the keeper. He also achieved high marks in all of his classes, earning the reputation as a golden boy.

After graduating from Hogwarts, Ferdia followed the footsteps of his father and grandfather into politics, getting elected to the legislative branch of the ministry of magic. In addition, at the age of 22, Ferdia married Alice Fortsecue, a Hufflepuff who he had begun courting after they first met during one of the first functions that Ferdia attended as a fledgling legislator. He had fallen quickly for Alice, knowing almost instantly that Alice was the one that he wanted to marry. Shortly after their spring nuptials, Ferdia and Alice learned that they would be expecting their first child, both completely unaware that their first child was actually their first AND second child. They learned that fact on April 10, 1881, when Edmund Dermot Ferdia Kennedy was born and three minutes later he was followed by Minerva Aileen Kennedy. Ferdia adored his children and each subsequent child as Walter Irvine Seamus, Elizabeth Alice “Eliza,” Anne Muriel “Nan,” Cordelia Fortescue, Penelope Martha, and Wilhelmina Agnes “Billie” joined the family in the years between 1883 and 1892. Unfortunately, Ferdia never had the opportunity to meet his youngest daughter and child, Billie.

It was April 1892, a few days after Edmund and Minerva’s eleventh birthday. A cloaked man approached Ferdia and murdered him. The man had a novel weapon that blended dark magic with a knife and Ferdia was left to bleed out. And as fate would have it, Ferdia’s eldest two children were sort of witnesses. Minerva ran off to get help from the house, but Ferdia knew that it would be too late. Edmund, though, stayed and Ferdia did his best to comfort his son. He made Edmund promise that he would keep an eye on his younger siblings, that he would be the man of the family. Ferdia knew that it was a lot to put on his son, but he didn’t know what else to do. Ferdia could never imagine the conspiracy that underpinned his murder, one that wouldn’t be unmasked until over a hundred years later when his great-great-grandson discovered the truth behind the mysterious murders that had plagued the wizarding world through the generations.

Minerva had a good relationship with her father, although they weren’t nearly as close as Ferdia and Edmund. She loved him a lot and losing him was extremely difficult. He is one of the best men that Minerva has ever known and she misses him everyday.

Mother: Alice Anne Kennedy née Fortescue

Born in 1860, Alice was the only child of Elizabeth and Irvine Fortescue. She grew up in the English countryside in Suffolk, England, traipsing through the land that her family owned. Upon starting Hogwarts in 1871, Alice was sorted into Hufflepuff. She didn’t play quidditch as she wasn’t interested in the sport, but she did become a prefect and turned down the position of head girl in her seventh year.

After graduating from Hogwarts, Alice began working as a healer in St. Mungo’s. She worked for St. Mungo’s until she was six months pregnant with the twins. In between, though, she fell in love with and married Ferdia Kennedy when she was twenty. On April 10, 1881, Alice’s first two children, Edmund Dermot Ferdia and Minerva Aileen, were born. Between the years of 1883 and 1892, Alice had six more children, Walter Irvine Seamus, Elizabeth Alice “Eliza,” Anne Muriel “Nan,” Cordelia Fortescue, Penelope Martha “Nellie,” and Wilhelmina Agnes “Billie,” with her husband. Her youngest child, Billie, was born after her husband’s death.

Alice’s life was turned upside down in April of 1892 after her husband was murdered. She was devastated… and six months pregnant. It was also, in some ways, a double whammy because her eldest son became a lot more serious and quiet. Despite this, Alice held strong for her children, only letting herself break down at night, once all of her children were asleep. After seeing all her children graduate from Hogwarts, Alice decided to go back into the field of healing. She eventually became the matron at Hogwarts… just in time to coincide with some of her grandchildren’s time there.

Minerva was much closer to her mother, although they sometimes had an adversarial relationship mostly surrounding their differing expectations for the world. It was at its worst when Minerva was in her fifth year. Despite this, Minerva has always respected her mother and all of the choices that Alice made after losing her husband in such a sudden and violent manner. Minerva adores her mother.

Twin Brother: Edmund Dermot Ferdia “Ned” Kennedy

Born on April 10, 1881, Edmund is the eldest child of Ferdia and Alice Kennedy, three minutes older than Minerva, and a Gryffindor. Minerva has a fairly close relationship with her twin brother, although she makes it her mission to annoy him and get him to lighten up. Even with her desire to annoy him, they don’t bicker all that much, even though they are quite competitive. They don’t always spend a lot of time together, but Minerva loves her brother very much. She would do anything for Ned. He might be the world’s most obnoxious brother sometimes, but she can’t imagine life without Ned being her twin brother.

Brother: Walter Irvine Seamus Kennedy

Born in November 1883, Walter is the third child of Ferdia and Alice Kennedy, two years younger than Edmund, and a Slytherin. Walter is a carefree soul with an athletic passion. He joins the Slytherin quidditch team as soon as he possibly can, earning the position of beater. Walter has a kind heart and big ambitions, focused on both athletics and politics, creating an interesting debate in his head that is resolved when he determines to become a politician after he retires from playing professionally for the Appleby Arrows. He’s also a bit of a prankster, with his older brother being his most common target.

Walter is always going to be Minerva’s annoying little brother, but it's a different annoying when compared to Ned. They might not be the closest set of siblings, as Walter is closer to Cordelia. Minerva loves her little brother a lot, though, and knows that when push comes to shove, Walter is someone that can be trusted. She would do anything for him and it’s especially fun to team up and annoy Edmund.

Sister: Elizabeth Alice “Eliza” Kennedy

Born in October of 1884, Eliza is the fourth child of Ferdia and Alice Kennedy, three years younger than Edmund, and a Hufflepuff. Eliza takes after her mother a lot. She’s got a really big heart and she’s always trying to look on the bright side of everything. However, she’s a bit of a people pleaser, never really knowing when to say no. Luckily, she’s got seven siblings who will say “no” for her. It takes her a while to learn that skill for herself, but eventually she finds a balance. This is helped by her decision to follow her mother’s footsteps and become a healer.

Minerva has a close relationship with Eliza, as they seem to get on fairly well… except when it comes to what they want their paths in life to look like. Eliza is a little more traditional and romantic than Minerva, which can cause a lot of different arguments between them. However, this doesn’t stop them from having a pretty good relationship. Minerva loves her little sister.

Sister: Anne Muriel “Nan” Kennedy

Born in May of 1887, Nan is the fifth child of Ferdia and Alice Kennedy, six years younger than Edmund, and a Hufflepuff. Nan is a tough yet gentle soul. She’s got a big heart, but won’t hesitate to call out her siblings and other close companions. She finds herself named prefect in her fifth year and joined the Hufflepuff quidditch team in her fifth year as well, playing the position of chaser. She found a calling as a mediwitch, following similar footsteps to her mother and older sister, Eliza, but making it her own.

Minerva has a good relationship with her sister. Nan is similar to Eliza, but she and Minerva don’t have the same arguments that Minerva and Eliza do. Nan is the first Kennedy to really notice Adonis’s feelings for Minerva and when Minerva’s feelings towards Adonis start to change. Nan’s not as much of a menace to Minerva as she is to Ned. Minerva loves this about her sister and Nan is the one to sort of tell Minerva to suck it up when her best friend, Lottie, starts to court Ned. Minerva loves her little sister, even if she wishes that Nan would mind her own business sometimes.

Sister: Cordelia Fortescue Kennedy

Born in September of 1888, Cordelia is the sixth child of Ferdia and Alice Kennedy, seven years younger than Edmund, and a Ravenclaw. Cordelia had always been a quiet girl, preferring to spend her time on her own and often comes across as aloof. She has a heart of gold, though, but like her oldest brother, it’s often hidden amongst other more dominant expressions. She becomes a prefect while at Hogwarts and also accidentally ends up on Ravenclaw’s quidditch team, playing chaser.

Minerva has a good relationship with Cordelia. They have a lot in common, but Cordelia has somehow ended up being the closest to Walter. Minerva loves her little sister and they get along quite well, they just aren’t that close. She also feels a bit protective over Cordelia and keeps a close eye on her while Cordelia’s at Hogwarts.

Sister: Penelope Martha “Nellie” Kennedy

Born in January of 1890, Nellie is the seventh child of Ferdia and Alice Kennedy, nine years younger than Edmund, and a Slytherin. Nellie was, in many ways, her mother’s daughter. She was quite similar in personality to Alice, but she’d always had ambitions that extended beyond motherhood and what was traditionally available to her. Alice always said that this drive was all Ferdia, and, in many ways, it was. However, Nellie always had a softer side. She was always quite stubborn and found her own way to pursue her numerous ambitions.

Aside from Edmund, Minerva is probably the closest to Nellie. They have a lot in common, mostly about the fact that they both want something different from life. Minerva finds hers in writing, while Nellie pursues many different passions. Their nine year age gap makes a lot of fights not happen and Minerva loves her little sister a lot. She’ll always have Nellie’s back.

Sister: Wilhelmina Agnes “Billie” Kennedy

Born in July of 1892, Billie is the eighth child of Ferdia and Alice Kennedy, eleven years younger than Edmund, and a Gryffindor. Billie was born three months after her father was murdered and thus never knew him. Instead, her oldest brother, Edmund became a bit of a replacement, despite still being a child himself. Billie always admired her big brother, though, and wanted to be exactly like him. While she grew out of much of this, she still found similarities in their lives. However, Billie’s interests at Hogwarts aligned more with her brother, Walter’s and she joined Gryffindor’s quidditch team in her fourth year.

Minerva has a good relationship with her baby sister. Billie absolutely adores Ned and to a lesser extent Walter, which can sometimes feel like an obstacle to Minerva. However, she loves Billie a lot and enjoys helping Billie with things. She also is determined not to be a second mother to Billie and just be Billie’s sister.

→ Minerva first met Adonis Demiurgos in her first year, when he was still an English language learner. A simple first meeting quickly deteriorated after an incident involving some of her private works (which mostly were written after her father’s murder) and a mostly one-sided rivalry formed. Minerva held onto her grudge for a good while and Adonis always seemed to know which buttons to push and how to irritate her. This rivalry held until her sixth year, after Ned invited Adonis and a few others to spend the weekend at Whitethorn Hall for a gathering at the urging of their mother and Adonis began to do small gestures for her. However, Minerva remained oblivious to his changing feelings and didn’t really realize her romantic feelings until she and Adonis met again in France. Their courtship began soon after that and they courted for eighteen months before Adonis proposed. Minerva married him on August 8, 1906.

Son: Atticus Ferdia Gregorius Demiurgos-Kennedy

Minerva has a generally good relationship with her eldest child. There’s some friction, mostly because Atticus really reminds her of her brother, Ned and that’s not exactly the easiest personality to understand. However, Minerva really adores her son and is quite proud of him and all that he accomplishes. She aims to support Atticus in everything that he does. Minerva loves her son a lot.

Childhood:

Born on April 10, 1881 at 1:05 pm, Minerva Aileen Kennedy is the second oldest child of Ferdia and Alice Kennedy, three minutes younger than her twin brother, Edmund. From the age of two to eleven, Minerva gained six younger siblings. Her younger brother, Walter, was born in November of 1883, with five younger sisters (Eliza, Nan, Cordelia, Penelope, and Billie) being born between October of 1884 and July of 1892.

Prior to the age of eleven, Minerva had a good childhood. She and her siblings were well-loved and she mostly had a good relationship with all seven of them. Everything changed one April day in 1892, a few days after Minerva’s eleventh birthday and the arrival of her Hogwarts letter, when her father was murdered.

While Minerva didn’t witness her father’s final breaths, she did witness her father falling and she ran to get help. She also wasn’t as affected by her father’s death as Ned was. However, she was affected by it as it made her a lot more private and less willing to share things that she deemed more personal. She also began to write a lot of darker stories, especially those that involved death. They were never what she liked to write. They were just a way to process her father’s death.

Hogwarts Years:

Upon starting Hogwarts, Minerva was sorted into Ravenclaw. She took to the house in stride, finding that there were many kindred spirits in the house. Her rivalry with Adonis Demiurgos also began in her first year and continued for a lot longer. Minerva spent a lot of time writing and finding out what her writing style was. She also started working for the Hogwarts school newspaper and started a small section for writing competitions.

Adulthood:

After graduating from Hogwarts, Minerva began working as a journalist for the Daily Prophet. She quickly learned that journalism was not for her, but continued in the career until the age of 25. At that point, Minerva decided that it was time to pursue her dream of becoming an author and started sending out manuscripts of her first completed novel… under the pen name M. Kennedy. She published many novels and short stories in her lifetime, becoming a bit of a cult author. She didn’t begin publishing under her own name until she was fifty, at the urging of her family as she had been debating publishing under her own name for many years.

For the most part, Minerva’s adulthood was stable. Her love life was a lot more stable than her twin’s. She began courting Adonis Demiurgos in 1904 and they married on August 8, 1906. They had three children together. Their eldest children were twins, Atticus and Daphne, born on August 31, 1907. Their youngest child, Matthias, was a surprise and was born on September 12, 1918, eleven years after the twins were born.

Old Age:

Minerva never officially retired from writing. Instead, she began to slow down and found fewer and fewer works to be acceptable for publishing. She took time to spend with her family as well, devoting time to her grandchildren. She spent her time doing what she felt like and finding out what she could find peace in, which included her grandchildren.

Death:

Minerva passed away, peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 108, in 1990. She lived a long and fulfilled life, leaving behind three children, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Minerva hates being called “Minnie.” It just irritates her, so naturally, her siblings call her “Minnie” constantly. If she has to be called a nickname, she prefers to be called “Min.”

im so tired of the people under bridgertons twitter and instagram asking for sophie. theykl give her to us when its her TIME it's PENELOPE AND COLINS SEASON and no one is paying attention to them cause the hate train on them is already bad bc benedict is the fan favorite

Anon, you forget I rarely check out twitter.

I get my tea from tumblr and occasionally facebook and instagram. And things over here have been pretty normal. So I don't see it really. To my eyes, Polin has been getting the right ammount of attention. Or maybe it's just me, the polin fan, who sees polin everywhere.

Benophie fans have a right to ask for Sophie, in the same way there was an outcry for Kate before and during Season 1. we got a casting in mid March, but still the fans wanted to make themselves heard.

And Polin's season wasn't that surprising for most of us. With the amount of screentime they got in s1 and s2, were' all very aware that Polin's season is in fact s3. What with the amount of promotion they're getting. (My HC is that the rest of the Bridgerton actors who are available for promotions, are camera shy and not as used to being in interviews as Nicola) .

The polin season is getting a lot of hype. here in tumblr, heck, I'm riding that train on a normal day with my 146 project. Because they were in s1 and s2 and people want to see the conclusion of that love story in s3. Benophie on another hand is a love story that hasn't even started. It's normal for fans to be curious about who Sophie will be casted as.

Benedict is a fan favorite yes, but so is Eloise, people aren't more curious about her love story because we already know what her love interest is like. Chris Fulton will one day make a heck of a romantic lead for Claudia Jessie but that's some years in the future and we are satisfied with those breadcrums. With Sophie, what happens is that we don't know who her actress will be or what the character will be molded as. so the outcry of the fans is to get a face to put with the character. I think that's a reasonable thing.

Unpopular opinion: I liked and appreciated the Theloise subplot in season 2 because Theo helped Eloise see the world from a different perspective and mature as a person. Let me explain.

I don't think Theloise was ever meant to last. I do believe part of it’s purpose was to introduce Eloise to romance, but it wasn’t just about that. It was also about showing Eloise a different world she had never experienced before and understanding her own privilege.

Eloise is quite outspokenly feminist and political in the show, but a lot of people have pointed out (and rightly so) that it can ring hollow and tone deaf when she's so incredibly privileged in her position in life. An important part of being progressive or an activist is listening to other’s experiences, and Eloise rarely listens and mostly lectures. She knows what it's like to be a woman and have your choices taken away theoretically, but in her actual life her family gives her freedom to be unique and unconventional. She wants change for society because she knows something’s not right, but I don't think she even knows what she's fighting for.

Theo opened her mind and her world to other people and their challenges. He challenged HER and HER privilege and hypocrisy, and introduced her to the concept of classism. I very much enjoyed those scenes where he would call her out when she was being ignorant and naive.

It's easy to forget because Claudia Jessie is 32, but Eloise is a child (17/18) and is still developing her opinions and politics, and in that sense Theo was a very positive influence on her. He helped her grow, and hopefully planted a seed in her that she nourishes in future seasons to be more open to the lives and experiences of others.

I realize some people feel or I've heard them say Eloise's story should be different than the book. Based off the differences in her character, on the show as opposed to the books. People said a bisexual storyline, not sure where that came from but I'm not opposed to it, cause wow, that would be 🔥 But I guess people saw her sweet little infatuation with Theo and it was super adorable & kind of innocent. So I've thought people have a hard time seeing Netflix Eloise as being sexual, maybe. Also, maybe they're thinking her character would not run off and go co-habiting with her penpal!? Not something Eloise would do? Not Netflix Eloise anyway. But actually, she was pretty brave when it came down to seeing Theo. But then there's the Netflix Sir Philip Crane issue. Because he comes off as kind of boring & he talks about plants a lot. That's just not "sexy enough"? "I can't imagine it." Well, I have an assignment for you, dear reader!! Read the book. WELCOME TO GREAT FALLS!

WOW! It’s hard to believe it’s only been one week since we started advertising and introducing our little group to everyone (and then immediately losing it to Tumblr for a couple of days) and we’re already opening with a whopping twenty-seven characters! We honestly never expected to take off like this this quickly but we’re so so excited to see the response that this group has gotten. We truly appreciate everyone who has reached out to us about the group, the people who have worked with us to make improvements and everyone who has showed interested in joining and sending in applications. We really love what we’ve managed to do with Great Falls and we can’t wait to see how everyone’s characters interact and their stories play out! So without further adou, let’s get into our first official acceptance!
