Yandere Taehyung x Reader

Summary: When you and your friends get trapped in a game......

"Look everyone, what I found?"

Jiwon yelled coming towards you with a big box in her hands. She placed it down on the coffee table near the couch you were sitting on.

"What is it?"

Serim asked in curiosity. Being the curious type she got excited as soon as she saw the box that Jiwon brought.

All your other friends left what they were doing and rushed to see the box. You observed the box.

"It seems like a game to me."

You being the most intelligent among all your friends guessed it without opening the box.

"This seems fun."

Sihyeon commented.

You all sat on the ground surrounding the coffee table where the box was kept. Eunji tried to open the box but to her disappointment she failed.

"It's too tight."

She complaint.

"Let me try"

Yoorim suggested and tried to open the box. To her luck the box opened this time. She is the strongest among all of you afterall.

"You are strong, Yoo"

Jiwon complemented her while clapping.

"I know bish."

You all erupted in laughter. Just Yoorim being Yoorim.

After the box was opened you found a model of something that looked like that of an amusement park to you. Though it was a small model, it seemed real. You were totally intrigued by it. Your eyes then caught a piece of paper beside it, you picked it up and and began to read.

"Welcome to my game of hide and seek. The game is very simple, you need to hide from me and escape from the amusement park. You all have two hours, if you escape then you are free but if you are caught, you lose the game and if you are not able to escape within the time given to you, you'll be trapped with me here, FOREVER.

But there are rules you all need to follow:

1. Don't be in pairs. It will be easy for me to find you.

2. If you feel like I'm behind you, don't turn back and continue the game.

3. Don't expect me to play fair because I never play fair.

4. The last and most important important rule, don't beg in front of me if you lose the game because I will show no mercy.

If you want to still proceed then it's up to you. The choice is yours now. Good luck.

You read out loud so all your friends can hear.

"But, how to play it?"

Eunji asked.

Just then Jiwon discovered a small box made up of cardboard. She opened it and found small miniature characters inside it.

"Guys, I think that each one of us needs to take these small characters and place them in the miniature amusement park."

Jiwon explained.

"Isn't it like playing with dolls?"

Sihyeon complaint.

You all did what Jiwon told, completely ignoring Sihyeon. Then you found a small character of a man dressed weirdly between the bunch of miniature characters. It was bigger than the others in size and had a strange clothing.

"He must be the one who will try to catch us."

You explained to your friends and they nodded their head in understanding.

"Guys I don't think we should play the game."

Yiren said. Truth to be said you also got negative vibes from it and your gut feeling was saying you not to play it.

"I think Yiren is right."

You commented.

"Oh ho, Y/N you are no fun."

Yoorim said.

"And Yiren what is wrong if we play it. It is totally harmless, right? Stop being a scaredy cat."

Yoorim complaint.

"Let's start the game."

Serim clapped her hands and placed the miniature of the weirdly dressed man on the miniature amusement park.

As soon as she placed it you heard a weird sound coming from the kitchen.

"Must be a cat."

Jiwon said.

"Guys look"

Sihyeon showed you a picture of a man that she found in the box where the game was kept.

"He is so handsome."

Eunji commented.

"He looks creepy"

I said being completed uninterested. Then you snatched the picture from Sihyeon's hand and started observing it. You feel like you saw it somewhere but you couldn't recall where.

"Let's not play the ga-"

Before you could complete the sentence you found your friends, they laid on the floor. They all fainted and now you to started to feel dizzy.

What is happening to me?

Then everything blacked out.

"Y/N, wake up!"

You heard someone yelling at you. You opened your eyes to find the faces of your friends looking worriedly at you. You got up and imagined to find yourself in your room but as you observed your surroundings you found yourself somewhere else.

"Where are we?"

You asked.

"I don't know but it seems like an amusement park to me."

Sihyeon said.

You observed your surroundings more clearly this time and it looked like an abundant amusement park to you. You feel like you saw it somewhere before. You tried to recall what happened before you fainted, you remembered about the game. You joined the dots together and you understood everything.

Oh no, we are trapped in the game.

"Guys, do you remember the game?"

You tried to indirectly inform that you all are trapped in the game, you don't know why.

"Wait, don't say that we are trapped in the game?"

Serim said finally understanding it.

"This is why I told you not to play the game."

Yiren said while a few drops of tears were rolling down her face.

"It's just a nightmare, we'll wake up soon."

Sihyeon said trying to come with an explanation with what is happening right now. You hoped that she is right but deep down you know she is not. Still to convince yourself you pinched yourself and felt hurt, that means you are not dreaming.

"It's all Serim's fault, she was the one who was so eager to play the game."

Eunji complaint.

"Shut up, Eunji. You are saying as if you didn't want to play the game."

"Stob it you all. It's not the time to fight, right now we need to find a way to get out of the game."

Jiwon said.

Just then you heard someone laughing. It sounded like a male voice. You looked around and found no one except your friends. You all were confused now.

"Welcome girls, I hope you all know the rules of the game, so let's get started. I can't wait anymore, it has been decades since someone came here. It will be fun to hunt you all down. Let the game begin, find a good hiding spot, somewhere that I won't find you. Best of luck."

A deep male voice greeted you from somewhere. You could only hear his voice but couldn't see him.

"Who are you?"

You asked with all the courage that you gained. Once again you heard the sound of laughter.

"Curious, are we? Don't worry Y/N dear I'll soon reveal myself, till then try to hide from me."

His voice sent shivers down your spine and moreover he knew your name. That means he knows everyone's names.

"We only have two hours, we need to escape from here soon"

Jiwon said and told you all to follow her. At first you all started following her but then he remembered something and stoped in your track.

"Wait, in the rules it was written that we should not be together or it will be easy for that man to catch us."

You said.

"Does it mean that we need to separate from each other?"

Yoorim asked.

"Unfortunately yes"

You said her.

"Just remember all the rules and don't let your fear take control over you. We'll surely win the game, just trust yourself."

Jiwon said and with that you all parted your ways. However you need to find the way out. You randomly started walking not knowing where you were going.

After a few minutes of walking you couldn't find anything that can lead you to the exit. The only thing you observed was that the amusement park was huge and there were randomly wardrobes placed here and there. It was weird for wardrobes to be in a theme park, maybe it is for hiding.

Just then you heard footsteps behind you, you were about to turn back but you stopped after you remembered the rule.

If you feel like I'm behind you, don't turn back and continue the game.

You started running and then you hid yourself inside a wardrobe and closed the door. From the holes of the wardrobe you saw a man outside. Your eyes widened when you saw the man was weirdly dressed but you couldn't see his face.

"Clever, sweetheart, I like it."

He said in his deep voice and he went away. Deep down you felt like he knows where you are hiding but he is just acting as if he has no idea. Obviously, you don't think that he is as stupid as Granny.

After waiting for a few minutes you got out of the wardrobe where you were hiding. You then continued on your way and soon you found a tent. You got inside in hope of finding a clue to get out.

You started searching everywhere inside the tent but you couldn't find anything. At last you found a picture. As soon as you saw the picture, your eyes popped out, it was a picture of the same man whom you saw in the picture that Sihyeon showed you. He was with a girl and unexpectedly the girl looked like you. The photo seemed to be old and soon you kept the photo from where you picked it up.

Maybe my mind is playing tricks with me.

You continued on your way. You just hoped that your friends are okay. You had no idea how much time do you have left with yourself. You need to be fast.

After some time what happened to be a small house caught your attention. You quickly went towards it and tried to open the door. To your luck it was not locked and you entered inside. This place was not like the others, it looked like it was recently used. It was cleaned and decent.

The house had only one room attached with a bathroom. You began to investigate the house. You saw the room had a bed, a couch and other furnitures. All were clean and dust free like they have been in use recently.

Maybe this is where the weirdly dressed man lives.

Then your eyes went to the pictures hanging on the wall. There were several of them and to your surprise it was pictures of the same man with a woman who looked like you. As you observed the pictures you felt like they were memories rather than a simple pictures. Now you figured out that weirdly dressed man and the man in the pictures were maybe the same person.

You ignored them and started to investigate the house in order to find a clue or something to escape from here. Right now your only mission was to escape from here. You hoped that your friends have all escaped or have found a way to escape.

Just then you found a newspaper on the bed side table. You picked it up and saw the date and it was..................1915.

"Businessman Kim Taehyung arrested for charges of murder."

Wait, he is a murderer too. That means he is a dangerous person you need to take him seriously. How much you wished this all to be a nightmare.

Then you heard the sound of ticking. You turned back and found a wall clock and you saw the time. You only had half an hour left. You don't know how you wasted so much time. Now you have no more time to waste you decided to get out of this house.

You went towards the door and tried to open it but unfortunately you couldn't. You banged on the door but to your avail you couldn't open it. You sat down there and silently cried. You never in your life imagined to bring this situation.

Your eyes then went to the bed where the same game was kept, which trapped you here. You quickly went towards it and found that the miniature character you choose was on the top of a small house. Then you understood that it was showing your current location. But you couldn't find the miniature characters of your other friends and the miniature of the weirdly dressed man was just outside the house you were in, so that means he is just outside.

You began to observe the miniature amusement park that was kept in the bed in front of you. Then your eyes landed on a particular place where it was written 'exit' and there was a small arrow near it. You finally figured out the exit.

Why didn't I observe it before playing the game?

"Smart, aren't you, sweetheart?"

Your heard a deep voice, you looked back and found the weirdly dressed man in front of you. This is the first time you saw his face for the first time and you were right it was the same man from the picture.

But one thing, he was hella handsome. What are you even thinking right now?

"So you finally figured out the way? You all the ones who played the game before couldn't find the way out but you, my love are a genius. You know the way so you are free to leave."

You couldn't think of anything and got up and tried to run away past him. And to your luck he let you go and the door opened this time.

"But-"

His deep voice stopped you in your tracks.

"But you'll be the only one to leave because your friends are all out."

He said with an evil laughter.

"What do you mean?"

"Sweetheart, this will disappoint you but your friends lost the game. They were not smart enough and now they are trapped here forever as my personal toys."

After hearing that you broke down.

"No worries, my love, I can make an exception for you. You have two choices either you escape alone or your friends escape without you."

"What?"

You asked in curiosity.

"You are smart, sweetheart so you should already understand it. Ok so let me explain to you if you surrender yourself to me I'll let your friends go."

You started to think. If you escape alone without your friends, what are you supposed to say to their family about their sudden disappearance. It will be very selfish of you to escape alone without your friends when they were with you your entire life.

"Think fast, sweetheart. Time is running."

You wiped the tears from your face and decided to take your final decision.

"I'm ready to surrender myself."

Your words brought a sinister smirk on his face.

"Great choice, my love."

He came towards you and engulfed in a hug.

"Now will you let my friends go?"

"Ofcourse sweetheart"

He said and kissed your forehead.

"This time I will not let anyone take you away from me."

You had no idea what he meant by that but still a drop of tear escaped from your eyes.

˚₊‧꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ ALLUME is a six member generational girl group under Flowerbank Entertainment. They debuted in 2000 with a five-member line up. Their debut single GET UP became an instant hit, topping the South Korean charts and even breaking into the Japanese charts. Their successful debut would prove to be the blueprint for how the group would perform for years to come.

The group operates on a generation system, being one of the few K-pop groups to do the system properly and consistently. Every five years, the group will undergo a graduation of all the members and bring in new members, ushering in a new generation of Allume. The group is currently in its fifth generation.

Often compared to AKB for their extravagant stage outfits and graduation ceremonies, the group is performance-focused and has been home to some of the greatest performers in Flowerbank Entertainment. Most girls who graduate from Allume go on to become soloists or actresses, staying under Flowerbank. The group's generations all come together every five years to perform together, a tradition to usher in the new generation.

They are not without their scandals of course. They've been hit with plagiarism scandals in their early days, getting sued by SM Entertainment at one point for allegedly plagiarizing S.E.S's "Dreams Come True" in 2001. Though this dispute was settled outside of court, it still followed the first generation for the remainder of their career. Various members have found themselves in dating scandals and bullying scandals which is to be expected with a group of this size.

[(Starting the vlog off at the Farmers Market)] [(It’s a bright and sunny day in Los Angeles)]

“Carats, hello,” Evelyn smiled brightly at the camera with a wave, fixing her bangs in the viewfinder until she was satisfied with their placement, “I’m at the Farmers Market today with my grandmother and she’s all the way up there.” She took her sunglasses off and settled them on top of her head before flipping the camera around and pointing it at her grandmother, zooming in on the woman as she was several stalls in front of Evelyn.

“She always walks so fast that I can’t ever keep up.”

She zoomed out and turned the camera back on herself as she walked down the pathway, greeting each vendor as she passed by their stalls. It had always amazed her at all of the fresh produce and goods that were brought to the market every week.

“I would come here often with my grandmother when I was younger and she would always buy me such delicious fruits during the summertime.” The image of little Evelyn with her pink summer dress and pigtails, running down the pathway, picking out peaches and always getting a sample from the vendors flooded her brain.

She adjusted the tote bag on her shoulder as the weight from the produce inside weighed down on her bone, bordering on being a little too painful to bear for much longer. She made a face at the camera, widening her eyes with a smile before turning it around and pointing it down at the pavement as she walked through the market.

[(Protecting our artists’ feet)] [(Here’s a picture of Eunji instead)]

“Carats, look at the puppy!,” Evelyn practically squealed, tilting the camera up to show a small puppy walking ahead of a couple on a leash, “She reminds me of Winnie with her little legs and fluffy tail.” The puppy got excited and tugged on the leash, yipping and wagging her tail rapidly when she spotted something and pulled the couple along.

[(An animal lover at heart)]

“Speaking of Winnie, I wanna bring her along next time I travel,” Evelyn turned the camera back onto herself, pulling her sunglasses over her eyes, “Especially when we come to LA again so my grandma can finally meet her in person.”

She continued to ramble on to the camera until she had finally caught up to her grandmother, shouldering off the tote bag down to the crease of her elbow, allowing room for it to open. She watched carefully as her grandmother handed over the correct amount of change before handling the basket of oranges into the tote bag. They smiled at the vendor before heading down the aisle together.

“Gram, say hi to the vlog,” Evelyn made sure to keep the camera on herself to protect her grandmother’s privacy. A frail hand snuck its way into the view of the camera, dainty fingers fluttering in a wave.

[(A happy greeting from Grandma Park)]

[(A curious swan out in the wild)] [(She is one with nature)]

“My grandma works so hard on her garden every year for it to bloom like this,” Evelyn had the camera facing the garden, panning around the entirety of the space. Every inch was filled with such luscious greenery and an assortment of different flowers to bring in some color, all adorned with little garden trinkets sprinkled around.

[(What has caught the swan’s attention?)]

She crouched down next to a few stepping stones scattered throughout the dirt, pointing out a specific one to the camera. Embedded into the concrete stone was a tiny handprint left behind by a seven year-old Evelyn, painted what is now a duller shade of purple from sun exposure, the words ‘To: Grandma’ painted at the top in different colors and ‘From: Evelyn’ painted wonky at the bottom to match. Little gems and sequins decorated in between to fill up the extra space.

“This stone I made at camp,” She brought the camera in closer to be able to make out the words, “Look how small my hand was back then compared to now.” She switched the camera into her right hand, moving to place her left hand down beside the much smaller one pressed into the stone.

[(Eunji your hands are still small)] [(Let’s keep it a secret between us)]

Evelyn straightened herself up, pointing the camera over to the swing set pushed towards the back of the fence. “My grandpa built that swing set before I was even born. He was so happy to finally have a grandchild that it was first project.” She walked the rest of the stone pathway through the garden until she reached the grass, moving in closer to the swing set.

“He had carved his name and a little message into the wood,” She zoomed in on what was chipped into the wood, making sure the camera was in focus.

‘for my little bee, love grandpa’

“I even carved my name next to his with a pair of scissors,” She smiled at the memory, moving over so the camera could see the indent of her name, “I got in trouble for using my grandma’s fabric scissors to carve my name but-,” She turned the camera around to face her, crinkling her eyes into a wide smile, “She couldn’t stay mad at me.”

[(Eunji has been a little troublemaker since the very beginning, oh my)]

[(Ending the vlog with food)] [(Everything looks so delicious)]

Evelyn had the camera propped up on the table, angled up at herself as she ate her dinner. She cut a piece of her steak off and brought it close to the camera, pretending like she was feeding a baby as she opened her mouth in the background.

[(Open wide carats)]

A giggled left her as she bit the piece off the fork, doing a little happy dance in her seat. It was her favorite steakhouse to come to any time they’re in LA, so naturally when her grandmother asked what she wanted for dinner, of course this was on top of her list.

“Is it good?” Her grandmother’s voice came from behind the camera.

Evelyn hummed as she took another bite, mouth watering for more, “So good! I’m practically starving for another one.” She continued eating and playing with the camera every now and then, ending the vlog with blowing a kiss towards the camera.

Go on a date with me

Spoiler alert I'm not sure how Karina's last name is actually written, so I'm sorry if I wrote it wrong. Also, just to put some warning, some idols were written as “mean girls”, however, it does not mean I see them as such or they’re like that.

Being a dragon in the 21th century wasn't what could be said easy. Dragons weren't meant to keep loots safe, as now humans preferred other less life threatening ways to keep their wealth safe, and so with the princesses, though those were scarce, it seemed like monarchy lost its beauty to everyone else.

Dragons nowadays had become more tame, part of the society, but they still hid on fear of what could humans could do to them. Shin Ryujin wasn't scared, though. She knew she had to hide her horns, and hide her scales, and the wings, yet she wasn't scared of humanity, she had been around humans for a really long time, so they were seen as her peers.

Except for you. With you, she felt more protective, like her ancestors had felt with the princesses they took care of, or how they felt around their partners. She was in love with you, there was no denying, so she did her best to become close to you. But it was a hard task, as you were quite popular in highschool, and she was aware of people not liking her, as she was a "weirdo" in her eyes. It's not that she was weird, she just didn't like to get close to people in fear of her secret being discovered somehow. She knew it was nearly impossible, but still, Ryujin couldn't help but be scared of it, so she wore the title of weirdo despite knowing that it might make her be far from you. She knew you were kind, after all you were the one to stop others for making fun of her, as if messing with her was messing with you, but that didn't mean you were going to be interested on her.

She wasn't unaware that you liked her, and probably she was one of the very few people unaware of it, one of them being Ryujin.

"I don't wanna be mean... But I honestly don't see what you see in her." One of your friends, Choi Yerim told you after seeing you look at Ryujin, who was eating alone in the cafeteria.

"I mean, she's kinda cute, but... I don't know, there are better fish in the sea. What about Yu Jimin? Or Yeh Shuhua? I heard around Kim Yerim, from the senior year, likes you, you two would make a cute couple." Your friend, Kim Haram, told you while she ate.

"Shuhua is still hopping for a girl in college to notice her, so no thanks, plus I heard around she just likes to collect girls, so no." You started telling them, turning around to look at your friend. "Jimin... She's pretty, but I don't know, she's in the closet outside of the school, and while I'm all in for people coming out when they're ready, I don't wanna go around hiding, so I'll pass on the opportunity." You kept turning possible people down. "She probably has a dozen of other people wanting to date her even though they have to hide, just look at her, I'm even jealous she's so pretty."

"And what about Kim Yerim? She's out, single, and has a clean record." Choi Eunji, cousin of your friend Yerim, or Choerry, as you called her.

"She's not into me, as you'd like to believe. I talked with her about it, and not even she knows where did that rumor came from." You answered, shaking your head as you sighed. "Girls, it doesn't matter, I like who I like, and it's not like Ryujin is a bad option to like, you just are like that because she's a loner."

"She shuts down every single person who tries to be friends with her, like, every single one." Park Chaewon, your oldest friend, decided to chime in, always ready to criticize Ryujin. “And please don’t say that she must have her reasons, she rejected befriending every single student out there, she’s past weird, that’s just creepy.”

“She talks to me sometimes, you know, when Hyunsuk goes on and messes with her and I have to make him stop, and no, it’s not just a thank you, she actually talks to me for a while.” You tell them, and Chaewon can’t help but make a face.

“See? That’s creepy, she only talks to you.” Gowon quickly said, earning a gasp from Choerry.

“She’s obsessed with you, like that man from the You series.” the girl said, earning a sigh from Haram.

"You watch far too many things for your own health, but yeah, it's kinda creepy that she only talks to you." Haram tries to make a point without sounding like Choerry.

"You all are being awful, so I'm choosing to sit with her today." You tell your friends, grabbing your tray and walking to Ryujin's table, who looked at you surprised.

"Why are you here?" She asked, though she moved her tray closer to you just in case your food wasn't enough.

"My friends were being mean, not to me, but still I won't accept people talking badly about others in my presence." You explained, not wanting to tell her that her friends were in fact talking about her.

"So, what did they say this time? That I'm what?" She asked on a teasing tone, being well aware of your friends not liking her.

"They were not..." You sighed, giving up mid excuse as Ryujin looked at you, raising an eyebrow. "Okay, they were, but still I won't just sit there and let them do so."

"You're far too kind with someone you barely meet." She said, and if it wasn't because the faint smile on her lips, you'd think she was saying it angrily. "What if your friends are right on what they say?"

"Well, if it was true, I’d be kidnapped by now.” You tell her, smirking at her as you were asking her to prove you wrong, but she only laughed at it.

In that moment, you couldn't help but think she had the prettiest laugh you've ever heard, and you couldn't help but look at her lovingly and let your heart speak for you.

"Do you wanna go on a date with me?"

Ryujin looked at you, expecting it to be a joke, waiting for you to say you don't mean it. But it seemed like you did, which made her heart ache. She wanted nothing more than to go on a date with you, and go on as many dates as possible, and eventually be your girlfriend, but she was also afraid of your reaction if you ever knew what she was, so she didn't know what to do.

"Not yet, there's first something I want you to know- see about me, something really important that might make you not want to date me, so I want to make sure that if you date me, you date me for all I am." She quickly said, not wanting to see you upset by her rejecting you, even if she wasn't fully rejecting you. "I'll tell you what, let's meet after school today, it's Friday, so if you don't run away after when I have to let you know, then we can go on a date. What do you say?"

It was risky, going somewhere with someone you barely knew, because she had a secret that evidently no one knew, it could end up in really bad things. But you decided to trust her, to go on with her, despite your friends warnings.

"Okay, but I hope you know I'm a black belt in taekwondo."

"I'll keep it in mind." She said with a bigger smile than before.

Of course, it was a lie, you didn't even know how to throw a punch, but Ryujin didn't have how to know it, so you trusted she would believe the lie and that way she wouldn't try to do you harm. A part of you, of course, felt awful for not trusting her like you thought you should, even as she walked next to you, playing with her own hands and nibbling on her lower lip. She was nervous, not even looking at you, and that made you worry even more than it could worry you if she was calm, and it didn't help that you both went to a small mountain where you could see the whole city, but no one could see you two.

"I know this might be strange but I... Need to take my shirt off. I'm gonna turn around even, so you see I mean no harm, but... Yeah." She said, taking a few steps away from you before taking out her blazer.

You stood there, unmoving, but not looking at her at all. You were ready to run if she tried something, but you only heard her move, and discarding the shirt before some strange noises coming from her side.

"Don't look yet, it's a bit gross." She grunted, and it was far more worrying than you thinking she would harm you in any way.

You heard many stories about werewolves, about people who could shapeshift into animals, even other people, you heard many things about many different strange things that you never believed, but as you heard her voice full of pain, and those strange sounds, you were starting to believe every story.

"You can look at me now." Ryujin said soon after those strange noises stopped.

You did so, worried about what you were about to see, only to find wings not too far from you. They were even bigger that Ryujin, and they looked heavy, even if Ryujin didn't seem to have any problem with them. You got closer to her, and you saw the wings had different shades of blue in it, not black as you thought it was. Your fingers ran over her wings, which twitch as she let out a surprised gasp, not used to someone touching her wings.

"Are you hiding horns under your beanie?" You asked, wanting to take it out from curiosity, but not wanting to be rude.

But she took it off, showing you that indeed, she had horns, although they were small, and so close to her head that you could barely see it in the dark, along with her dark hair.

"So what are you?" You asked out from curiosity, seeing her wings stretch a little, probably using that time to let them breathe.

"A dragon, a blue dragon, just as my mother and my father." She answered, finally turning around.

Her eyes were no longer that dark brown you loved, but they were yellow, with only a black slit, even as she looked at the dark path behind you. She even had scales on her torso and arms, which despite looking black to you, you assumed they were blue, just as her wings.

"This is what I, uh, had to, you know, show you. That's why I moved from city to city, and even out of countries, because people... Well, they didn't take it too well that I am a monster." Ryujin said, and you got closer to her, caressing her cheek, making her lean into your touch.

"You're no monster, you're just no human... Or half human, I'm not sure how does that work." You tried to reassure her, earning a laugh from her.

"I'm no human, dragons have the ability to transform into humans. But that's an ability we get when we are children, we are born as dragons, like, huge colorful eggs and all that." She tried to explain, sparing all the gross details out.

"That sounds amazing, you should definitely tell me that on our date." You cheerily spoke, which confused her even more.

"Are you really going on a date with me after what I told you?" She asked

"Ryu, you're a dragon, not a serial killer, and I guess you don't eat humans so... I don't see why not. Is it strange? Sure, I've never met another dragon, but I don't see why it would make me not want to date you."

"Alright then... I guess I'll have to keep you around after that. Let's go, you deserve a great date."

the story:

eunji was actually born born in daegu! she has a younger brother. her dad was your typical salaryman and her mom was a teacher. growing up she had a relatively happy childhood until her dad got his long-awaited promotion when she was twelve and took it as an opportunity to reset his situation. new life new wife!

he moved to seoul and left his old family behind. her mother got some minor child support payments but it fell on eunji to take on a part time job when she was old enough to help make ends meet. by the time she graduated school she was more than ready to leave and shed the burdens her father laid on her as a child. she actually took off and lived in kyoto from the age of ninteen until she was twenty-two!

while in japan she studied culinary arts and really fell in love with cooking both japanese cuisine and korean. she made friends, earned next to nothing but accumulated valuable experience, and really got to enjoy life for the first time!

after she finished school again she returned to korea and settled in seoul where she worked as a cook in a number of different restaurants. it was during this time that she met her husband, choi insik. he came from an upper middle class family, had a stable job, and made it seem like he was head over heels for her!

she made it clear to him that she had ambitions - she wanted to open her own restaurant and was living on a tight budget in order to save every last bit of her paychecks that she could. he was fine with that until they got married when she was twenty-three and he and his family insisted on a child. what would it look like, after all, if she was working when he was capable to caring for her on his salary alone?

after months of pressure from all sides she quit her job and her daughter, mina, was born when eunji was twenty-five. her life had become housekeeping, parenting, and caring for her in-laws while her own mother remained in daegu because 'there wasn't room to have her here'. that turned out to be true because the steady flow of money that insik had had started to fade into a trickle. debts, he said. student debts, the debt on the apartment, the debt on his car. but eunji knew it was more than that. he went on trips, he stayed out later and later, his clothes got more and more expensive. as long as they had the appearance of progress, that must mean it's true, right?

she tried to balance the books but she knew that things would come to a head. insik seemed to be a very different person and the more she fought the image he tried to construct of what their lives were supposed to look like, the more distant he got. it was clear his parents didn't know, he refused to ask them for money, and after she had the audacity to do it herself they had an explosive argument that ended with her packing a bag for herself and her baby and taking off back to daegu.

her mom let her move in while eunji filed for divorce when she was twenty-six, an ongoing mess that causes her endless stress because insik has decided to make her life a living hell for causing him such an embarrassment. but things are looking up! with the help of her mom she was able to obtain a business loan and open her restaurant. it isn't the high-end place she'd dreamed of, but it's her own. she has her daughter, her family, and is slowly getting on her feet again to get her life back on track!

about starlight noodle:

starlight noodle was named after the stars eunji always drew in the corners of her recipe notebooks. the menu consists of japanese and korean style ramen dishes that can be customized with a list of available toppings! it's open tuesday through saturday (closing 1 am on sunday) and she also has a list of available beer and soju brands and flavors. the interior is cozy - it definitely has hole-in-the-wall vibes. the furniture was bought on a budget and is a little more worn down, but everything is very well kept and clean. prints from local artists cover the walls and the lighting is warm, broken up by colorful neon signs in the wall to wall windows at the front. when it's open it's rare to not find eunji there, and often times her family is there assisting the small staff as well. soft lo-fi music plays and she makes a point to get to know her regulars and make friends where she can!

her personality:

eunji loves people but has a really hard time trusting them beyond a certain point.

she is ruthlessly efficient and pretty type a. things need to be done a certain way to keep the restaurant running and her finances above water and she doesn't have time for mistakes.

she's friendly but a lot of times can come off as blunt (for the reasons listed above)

her daughter, mom, brother, and restaurant are currently her entire world and she would go to the ends of the earth for them

habits: smoking, doing a shot of strawberry soju each night after closing, humming while she works, listening to podcasts during ingredient prep, dancing while she cleans (when she thinks she's alone), reading (when she has the energy), taking walks

Hani seems like the perfect drinking buddy.

She’s hilarious. That’s a known fact. She would probably be a hell of a wingwoman, given how naturally charistmatic she is. She could probably sell you to any girl at the bar and maybe I dunno maybe if things don’t work out and she gets extra flirty maybe you both realize the relationship you were both looking for was there all along and maybe before you drop her off at her apartment she shyly leans in for a kiss and your lips touch and-

...ahem. Unfortunately, Hani has a glaring weakness: her alcohol capacity, which, according to her own admission, is about half a bottle of soju.

We all know the type - super cute, super fun, super flirty, until they get drunk and then they become a sloppy mess. Hani is that girl.

But maybe as you’re holding her hair back so she can puke into her toilet at her apartment she drunkenly admits that she’s always thought you were cute and that every time she played your wingwoman and set you up with some skank at the bar she was actually wishing it was her you were hitting on and maybe she forgets she said it the next morning even though she’s blushing and damn I should really write more fluff huh?
