Neopets is so funny right now. It's a 24-year-old website and half its pages haven't been updated in 15 years. Its ostensible audience is children. The core active audience appears to be nostalgic 20-40-year-olds. Old code means no accounts or pets can ever be renamed. The virtual pound is full of virtual pets named after Justin Bieber. It has an economy and inflation is rampant. New ownership is combating this with the stimulus of random super-rare items via daily quests and events, while the equivalent of Neopian Upper-Crust complain that their investments are deflating. You can't say seaweed or grapes.

#I'm having so much fun #Neopets #anyway hey if you used to play it's still around and apparently the first new plot in years will happen spring/summer of next year #I mean it's really weird because it's still got rules like it's 2004 #I have no idea how you would introduce it to an actual child but the adults seem to be mostly having fun #recent events have been making it SUPER easy for ppl to get paint jobs they want & expensive items to sell & things to collect so it's fun

Since I drew the baby ravager in yesterday’s painting I wanted to see what it’d look like all grown up! My interpretation what one might look like is a sort of moose/bison/tapir with lots of teeth—and a nice glossy coat since Tango feeds it so well 😉

The goal was to maintain the big ginormous head and protruding nose but also keep it at least somewhat grounded in reality, so when started out I sketched out a rough skeleton so I could figure out the anatomy in a way that made sense to me [decked out voice playing in my head at all times: BEAST SENSE] Plus a Tango for scale!

#if u can. obviously #not everyone can but for those who can feel my words infect ur brain #this isnt to shame ppl who buy from fast fashion brands for financial reasons #but if ur fast fashion clothes are showing signs of wear and tear fix em!!#u COULD replace them.... or u could patch them up and embroider cute flowers or a cool ass dragon on them #and then boom ur fast fashion item is longer lasting and ur own creation that u can wear proudly #u can sew a rip together #and darn over a threadbare section #if u have gained/lost weight u can try to adjust them bc theres lots of guides out there #u can embroider over a stain or just purposefully add more so it looks deliberate #eg. bleach painting #also if u were just gonna throw it out buy a replacement anyway why not give mending a go!!#or cut it up to make patches for future mends
