Such sad news to hear today. An amazing, and enigmatic actor someone who deserved to be called a star.💫
British actor Tom Wilkinson, best known for his role in The Full Monty, has died aged 75 💔Wilkinson, who became an OBE for services to drama in 2005, was born in Leeds - Yorkshire in 1948 and grew up in Canada and Cornwall before attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (Rada) in the 1970s.

Across an illustrious career spanning nearly 50 years, Wilkinson won a host of acting awards, as well as two Oscar nominations. He won a BAFTA for 'The Full Monty,' and he also appeared in 'Shakespeare in Love,' 'In the Bedroom,' 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' and 'Batman Begins', He won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his role as Benjamin Franklin in the 'John Adams' miniseries. A versatile actor won acclaim through decades of work in television and film and onstage. Recently he was reunited with his The Full Monty co-stars, Carlyle and Mark Addy, in a Disney+ series of the same name.
Who remembers this classic!
The original 1997 comedy about an unlikely group of male strippers in Sheffield won an Oscar for Best Original Musical or comedy score and was nominated for three others, including best picture and best director.
Wilkinson’s best roles. Here are his finest films, Lieutenant General Lord Charles Cornwallis was an officer of the British Army and one of the leading British generals in the American War of Independence.
Wilkinson played a British officer in The Patriot, a US film about the Revolutionary War co-starring Mel Gibson, Heath Ledger and Jason Isaacs. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards.
From The Full Monty to Michael Clayton: was a lawyer - Arthur Edens - in Michael Clayton film 🎥 co-starring George Clooney. Tom Wilkinson was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role for In The Bedroom in 2001, and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Michael Clayton in 2007.
Wilkinson was winning acclaim again as a high-powered lawyer who has a breakdown in Tony Gilroy’s “Michael Clayton.” He was nominated for another Academy Award for his performance in that film.
In ‘Denial’, Confronting a Holocaust Revisionist in Court. Denial is a drama about a historian’s pursuit through the UK justice system by a Holocaust denier. It stars Rachel Weisz, Tom Wilkinson, Timothy Spall, Andrew Scott, Jack Lowden, Caren Pistorius and Alex Jennings.
On television, he played Benjamin Franklin in “John Adams,” James A. Baker in “Recount,” for which he was Emmy-nominated and Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. in “The Kennedys.”
In Ava DuVernay's 2014 historical drama Selma, Wilkinson portrayed President Lyndon B Johnson. The film tells of the protest marches held in Alabama in 1965 over voting rights for African Americans.
Friends, as you may have noticed, I've been taking longer than usual to post my ff, and some of the reasons are, that I have had to get up earlier, to do adult paperwork, in 2 days they will tell me if I enter the university, and i've been stressed, but, I already have a wide variety of ideas that are already on the way....
Eva Green x Fem!Reader
[My sweet little girl]
It's a small request I have...
Y/N goes to her first party surrounded by celebrities, amazed by her surroundings, but, with a naive soul, she is unaware that a big celebrity is trying to flirt with her.
When her girlfriend Eva finds her, I couldn't help but feel my blood boil.
Rita Farr x Fem!Reader
[I come to kill you]
series on the way
Y/N is a criminal and spy wanted in over 10 countries, in need of a safe haven… and her last hope is Niles Caulder and his freak house.
Despite Y/N trying to kill her, Rita can't help but be shocked by the beauty of the new guest.
Daisy Fuller x Fem!Reader
(The science behind love 2)
Daisy and Y/N get together to get Y/N started on her physics project, but Daisy's boyfriend ends up ruining the day for both of them.
Daisy, with no one else to turn to, tells Y/N about her problems.
REQUESTS:
Charlize Theron x Fem!Reader
Although, I don't have a concrete plot yet, I just want a home life for Reader and Charlize (with a bit of obscenity, on the part of the reader who asked for it)
Melina Vostokoff x Fem!Reader
Although, this request came after I had closed them, couldn't pass up a request to write about my beautiful Rachel Weisz.
Melina and Y/N have been friends for years, working together and living together every day. One day, while Melina and Y/N were dancing and singing their favorite song, Melina declares her feelings for Y/N, but Y/N doesn't know what her feelings are for that sweet, but ruthless, brunette.
Although I do not have exact dates, due to the events that are approaching, I hope not to arrive until October and not have published all these works.
Without further ado, have a nice week, love you, your friend P.

Do you have any info on the Dead Ringers remake at Amazon Prime Video?
Yep! 6 episodes, all will premiere April 21 on Prime Video. Here are some first look images, and more info below:
Rachel Weisz (Disobedience, The Favourite, Black Widow) stars as OBGYN twins Beverly and Elliot Mantle for the highly anticipated psychological thriller Dead Ringers. Weisz also serves as an executive producer. The limited series is created, written, and executive produced by Emmy-nominated writer and playwright Alice Birch (Normal People, Succession, The Wonder).
A modern take on David Cronenberg’s 1988 thriller starring Jeremy Irons, Dead Ringers will feature Rachel Weisz playing the double-lead roles of Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twins who share everything: drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes—including pushing the boundaries of medical ethics—in an effort to challenge antiquated practices and bring women’s health care to the forefront. The series’ ensemble cast includes Britne Oldford (The Umbrella Academy, American Horror Story: Asylum) as Genevieve, Poppy Liu (Hacks, Better Call Saul) as Greta, Michael Chernus (Severance, Orange is the New Black) as Tom, Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty, Saint Maud) as Rebecca, and Emily Meade (The Deuce, The Leftovers) as Susan.
Filmmaker Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene, The Nest, The Iron Claw) directed the first two episodes and co-directed the last episode of the series. Durkin also serves as an executive producer. The directing team also includes Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body, Girlfight), Karena Evans (P-Valley, Snowfall), and Lauren Wolkstein (A Friend of the Family, Y: The Last Man).
Dead Ringers is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Annapurna Television. Alice Birch, who is the series showrunner, serves as an executive producer alongside Rachel Weisz for Astral Projection, Stacy O’Neil, Sue Naegle, and Sean Durkin. Ali Krug is the executive producer for Annapurna Television. Erica Kay, Anne Carey, and Polly Stokes also serve as executive producers. James G. Robinson, David Robinson, and Barbara Wall executive produced for Morgan Creek.

If stranger things were set in the early 2000s, Max's fav singer would, without a doubt, be Avril Lavigne.
She would also really like Alanis Morissette, Spice Girls, Destiny's child, maybe even Britney and Christina Aguilera. She would, without a doubt a fan of P!nk. because, yk, all the rebel side and all.
Maybe she would listen to some boy band music when she is alone or with Eleven, because she feels more comfortable.
She would also like 80s/90s icons like Madonna, (we know Max really likes Madonna, so…) Michael Jackson, Kate Bush, Withney Houston, Mariah Carey, and maybe Guns and Roses, Nirvana, Aerosmith among others.
As for actors and actresses, she would certainly be a fan of Angelina Jolie, Rachel Weisz, Brendan Fraser (she would probably have a crush on him - a thousand times better choice than the Karate Kid guy, sorry, and she would also have a crush on actresses too , after all, we are talking about Angelina Jolie and Rachel Weisz).
the boys would certainly be fans of video games, not D&D, games like Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Diablo, maybe Loom, among others (sorry, I don't have much knowledge of rpg or fantasy games from that time)
they would also be fascinated by the franchise films of Jurassic Park, LOTR, Kill Bill, Scream, and every slasher from the 90s or early 00s, in addition to the canonical ones they already like like Ghostbusters, Day of the Dead, Back to the future and everyone else.
El would pass the time (if she stayed hidden in Hopper's cabin) watching all the rom coms like Pretty Woman, While You Were Sleeping, You've Got Mail, Clueless, nothing hill, 10 Things I Hate About You, Never Been Kissed and so many others.
The boys would probably have Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock as beauty icons.
bc I can't honestly understand how they make a show set in the 80's and let out so many iconic things from that time, specially regarding soundtrack since it's such an important thing in the show.
I like smelling weird things. Scents that are more conceptual than wearable are not a problem, but even I meet my match. Enter Red Hoba which officially weaned me off blind buys. It's interesting to review this one after Dunhill Egyptian Smoke because to the extent that papyrus is quintessentially Egyptian, these offer very different interpretations. Red Hoba is part of Xerjoff's Shooting Stars series but there are no embers in this meteor. It is a cold rock buried in the earth, a warning sign of destruction. (The other warning sign is Red Hoba's almost €400 price, but I digress.) Evelyn O'Connell played by Rachel Weisz in the Mummy perfectly symbolizes this scent. As a character, she bridges intellectual and sensuous, male and female, past and present. Also as half British and half Egyptian her presence attempts to reconcile and justify the colonizer and the exploited. Disembodied and unisex, Red Hoba seems to hold many of the same tensions. Described as gourmand, but beyond a faint opening of dried fruit, Red Hoba is primarily the scent of wet leather-bound parchment and dust which seems fitting for our Egyptologist Evelyn. In this way, Red Hoba's papyrus note is hyperrealistic. Combined with iris, it is a papery powdery ode to mold and must with very faint hints of jasmine and sandalwood in the background. There is a very mysterious, ancient and even ominous quality to Red Hoba that hints of myths and things buried in sand. However it is ultimately unpleasant. It is a watery facsimile of Egypt– diluted, bastardized, othered. A colonialist fantasy in love with death and excavation versus the red blooded present. I will take Dunhill's bright impressionistic stroke any day over this caricature. -------------------------------------- #niche #nichefragrance #perfumista #instaperfume #perfume #fragrance #perfumereview #leather #smoke #spicy #woody #gourmand #luxury #luxuryperfume #edp #instaperfume #sotd #woody #olfactoryart #Xerjoff https://www.instagram.com/p/CdQ6VhaOE3S/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
