Owl Song

I am the heart of a murdered woman who took the wrong way home who was strangled in a vacant lot and not buried who was shot with care beneath a tree who was mutilated by a crisp knife. There are many of us.

I grew feathers and tore my way out of her; I am shaped like a feathered heart. My mouth is a chisel, my hands the crimes done by hands.

I sit in the forest talking of death which is monotonous: though there are many ways of dying there is only one death song, the colour of mist: it says Why Why

I do not want revenge, I do not want expiation, I only want to ask someone how I was lost, how I was lost

I am the lost heart of a murderer who has not yet killed, who does not yet know he wishes to kill; who is still the same as the others

I am looking for him, he will have answers for me, he will watch his step, he will be cautious and violent, my claws will grow through his hands and become claws, he will not be caught.

I know everyone wants to see Jason and Talon reunite in owl song if or maybe when there's a continuation, but I'm also seriously interested in seeing Talon with Tim once he shoves his way into being Robin. With Talon so closed off and everything, I can only imagine the stress Tim feels as he tries to help both Talon and Bruce. And maybe when Talon starts to open up again, Talon feels guilty about using Tim like a replacement for his owlet, if only to feel something other than grief for once.

I have more thoughts but work makes it hard to type out long things so have this for now.

Ah yes, the Dick and Tim problem.

For Jason it’s crystal clear that he got replaced in no time at all. But if he looked any deeper than surface level… he’d quickly find evidence to the contrary.

Dick would downright attack Tim the moment he puts on the Robin suit. Not out of malicious intent, but because that suit belongs to his owlet. Robin belongs to his owlet. He’s not thinking clearly, and Bruce would have one hell of a time deterring the enraged Talon.

And even after Dick calms down again.. he wouldn’t accept Tim as Robin. Not for a long time. And while he obsessively stalks Robin’s progress through the city during patrol— it’s because he can’t bear the thought of having another Robin die. And regardless of his conflicting emotions Dick still cares for Tim. Knows that Jason cared for Tim.

So, for anybody else it looks like Nightwing is doting on the new Robin. In reality, Dick hates that there’s another Robin at all.

At least until Tim manages to finally, finally, get both Bruce and Dick on a path of healing. (although with Dick “healing” is a very generous term…)

Just a big heap of cats. Birch and his sister Alder, and their mother Misty. Misty died, so their adopted mother is Petal, and she's with her brother Fox. Pink Eyes and Blossom are from Thunderclan, Frost is Shadowclan, Spotted Fur, Owl Song, Reed Tail, and Swift Minnow are Windclan. Fircone and Nettle are Skyclan, Rainswept Flower, Mud Paws, and Mouse Ear are also Shadowclan. Shaded Moss didn't get to join a group, he's also Rainswept Flower's father. Swift and Branch are loners.
