GAHHHHH HEADS IN MY HANDS whyyyyyy why would you let me think about this
fine. take my deeply self indulgent and insane domestic strade/mc (meeeee :3) headcanons/plans if i ever fucking write it
so like. the underlying thesis of the domestic dynamic is "the worst possible family you could think of"
as mc gets integrated into the existing strade/ren dynamic as it is, they basically become this. caretaker for the two of them
they cook (or help ren to), they clean, they...relieve stress, they help out with streams
as a side, i'm a video editor as a hobby so i like to imagine editing strade's streams into liveleak videos because i'm #insane <3 (better than being an occasional star though)
strade basically views them as a demented little housewife who talks back sometimes but is generally pretty whipped (and a total suck up)
and they're good at it too! they're learning how to speak german, they know how to cook his favourite meals, they don't even complain when he drinks too much in front of the tv after a late night (and he has a lot of them)
they're even sweet enough to sit in his lap and keep quiet when he does! how cute <3
(definitely goes upstairs and fucks them after a good night in the basement. it's unfair to waste his urges, after all <3)
ren is pretty hot and cold with mc so their dynamic is either bad (being jealous of the new toy) or "good" (them fucking in the ickiest fauxcest kind of way)
and like. time goes on and strade ages out of streaming, giving ren the chance to take over while he manages things
ren's ecstatic about this and develops into 'fox' very quickly. making his master so proud <3
and mc is past the point of any kind of saving and likes their role too much anyway, and strade stepping down lets him focus on the two of them!
sooooo all and all, after however many years, mc is still the mommy caretaker for the two, ren is the provider and strade is the daddy looming patriarch who keeps them both whipped and fuck drunk and happy
they're like a hideously fucked up kind of family <3
oh also cannibalism happens. just super casual like.

Favorite thing about them:
I really like how as a character he was able to deeply touch so many people!! Seeing so many people finding relief in being able to relate to and emphasize with the character makes me happy.
Least favorite thing about them:
I mean, his personality? I don't like how his many flaws are written to be interpreted as strong points / good traits for his character to the point no flaw is actually a flaw, it makes the reading experience very frustrating for me.

Mmmmhh, I don't spend a lot of time thinking about Dazai. Soukoku, probably. The Buraiha trio makes me emotional a little. Souheki, but in a very passive-aggressive, over-competitive, one-sided rivality, can't-stand-each-other way. Dazai and Kyouka. Dazai and Atsushi too I suppose, though I prefer them romantically. I think he makes for a lot of interesting dynamics with virtually all the characters, but none compells me in particular tbh.
OTP:
Odazai is plain canon to me, idk what to tell you. I think they make for a beautiful, tragic love story. Get you a man who is willing to change the path of his whole life for another man just like that, nobody does it like them (actually, wait, I can think of another man... ).
Although I always distantly liked them, dazatsu has grown on me like, an INSANE amount in the last few months. I'm not sure what happened. I think it was an unfortunate (lol) coincidence of growing a little fonder of Dazai and just wanting to give more space and agenda to Atsushi. Like to me a lot of what dazatsu is really is about giving Atsushi more agency and autonomy and independence and overall just respecting him as a complex, full fleshed out character. I don't see ANY kind of power imbalance in it I keep finding people talk about. Dazai pushes Atsushi to be better every day, and Atsushi does exactly the same for Dazai. Atsushi admires and respects Dazai, and Dazai admires and respects Atsushi equally. I really don't know why the ship isn't more popular and instead just gets discarded most of the time tbh. I feel like everyone should sit down a second and actually give Atsushi the dignity to choose for himself.
And fyozai!!! The investment in this ship mostly goes on waves for me but despite that I firmly believe that they really make for an engaging and interesting dynamic to be interpreted romantically. The epitome of “You're both just enabling each other's mental illnesses. You're both perfect for each other. Never change. Just never involve anybody else in what you've got going on.”

Random headcanon:
Not canon related, but in modern aus I feel like he'd be one to always end up working at ceo roles and he would HATE it. He fires himself and starts working at some cheap frozen yogurt place and one month later he'll find himself as the ceo of the most important oil company of the country AGAIN without him even realizing it / despite his active efforts to avoid that. And he HATES IT. He fires himself again but the loop only repeats forever. He's just that kind of person for whom all doors open automatically.
Unpopular opinion:
............ I could be here forever. I regretfully fail to relate to a lot of characterization / readings of the character I've seen the fandom give him. I really don't want to dwell on this so I'll just mention something mostly unrelated to his characterization: I wholly can't share the take of him being physically built like??? At all??? Which got REALLY popular a few months ago. Dude feels like he never lifted a finger his whole life, I really don't know where the idea comes from???? And I personally don't take his manga visual portrayal as a telling factor for this; pretty much all the characters have the same body type, it's impossible for me to base the buff Dazai assumption on how he's drawn in the manga.
Just one thing about his chracter though stop making him matchmaker for ss/kk he really isn't stop don't do it please

3. Jealousy issues - Pitch is SO jealous. He hates that Jack has to leave him to go be a Guardian, it's partly why he can't keep his hands off him when they're together. He can't stand to have Jack away from him, and he sees the way Bunny and Tooth look at Jack and it drives him MAD, even if they don't actually have feelings for Jack like that. He wants to hide Jack away in his lair but knows he can't, knows that it would kill Jack to be away from his friends and the children. So he settles for leaving as many marks as he can on him, love bites and bruises in the shapes of his fingers, loves seeing the contrast against pale skin, knowing those are HIS marks, and he's the only one allowed to leave them. Jack is... a little envious when he can't have Pitch's full attention, be it when Pitch is focused on a project or talking to someone, but because of the isolation he put himself through, he tends to accept that he's not the most important thing to Pitch at the time. Pitch, being Pitch, can always sense that bit of fear when it manifests and is quick to remind Jack that he is loved and cared for above all things, either by wrapping an arm around him to pull him close or kissing him gently, and leaving whatever project he's working on for later.
11. Love language - Neither of them are big gift givers, but being as touch-starved as they are, they can't keep their hands off each other, even after years and years of being together. Jack tries to spend as much time with Pitch as he can, going out of his way to be in the lair even in the summer when it's far too hot for him to be there. He just wants to be near Pitch, even if he's sleepy about it, wants the reassurance for himself that Pitch doesn't mind his company. Pitch, on the other hand, is always quick to reassure him, with touch and words alike, knows Jack has a weakness for his voice (who doesn't lol), and reminds Jack often that he's wanted and needed by Pitch's side. And he never tires of telling Jack how much he loves him and his body.
29. Who said "I love you" first - Pitch. He fell fast, and he fell hard. He knew he was drawn to Jack, didn't know why for a long time, but after they're together and he realizes all the things he wants from Jack, he knows there's no other way he could feel. He's wanted companionship for so long, has wanted a semblance of family since losing his own so long ago, that he knows he loves Jack on some level before they even get together, and knows he'll burn the world just to keep Jack by his side. He also knows that Jack would never want this. Jack's a free spirit, and Pitch knows that, he knows he can't keep Jack by his side forever, but he desperately wants to. So he settles for holding the younger man close, settles for gentle kisses in the dark of the lair, settles for sensual touches to pale skin, and bruising bites to hips and neck, and whispers "I love you" so quietly against a pale ear that Jack's not even sure he heard it. He gasps, nearly cries, feels his heart swell so full of love he can barely get the words out coherently before he comes undone. Then he whispers it right back, assures Pitch that he wants no one but him, and they repeat the process all over again.

3. Jealousy issues - they are both so jealous it's not even funny. Vlad is the embodiment of "'most jealous man I know' 'you know other men?'" meme. He wanted to kill his best friend over a woman he thought he loved, and Danny? Danny means so much more to him than Maddie ever did! He can't stand if Danny so much as looks at another person, can't stand that Danny can't be glued to his side 24/7, but he understands the necessity of it. And he's always quick to remind them both that Danny is HIS, and he always leaves a visible mark on Danny's neck after Danny tells his friends about them. And Danny becomes a little brat if Vlad looks at anyone else, gets all pouty and visibly upset. He's insecure, been burned too many times by family, friends, and past relationships to think that he's worth the attention as Fenton, and that jealousy gets channeled into anger if left to fester.
11. Love language - Danny and his friends all tease Vlad about being Danny's sugar daddy, and they're completely correct. Vlad loves to give Danny gifts, especially in the beginning of their relationship. He hired tutors to get Danny through school, offered to pay for college, buys expensive gifts and anything Danny so much as looks at, and takes Danny out to fancy dinners. It took a long time for Danny to get over this, to not feel like Vlad was just trying to buy his affection when they started seeing each other. In a way, Vlad was. He wanted to prove he could provide for Danny, to be someone he could rely on for anything and everything and make himself the sole provider for Danny's every need. Eventually Danny managed to get him to chill out about this. But he does like the occasional shiny item. And Vlad likes to buy him nice things regardless of what he gets out of it. He just likes to see Danny blush and smile over it. They can go long periods without being together, kind of a necessary evil between a CEO of a fortune 500 company and a college student, but when they're together, they're together. They're always touching, kissing, snuggling, hugging, they can't keep their hands off each other! Mostly Vlad though. He spent so long alone that he's afraid that Danny will disappear if he looks away for more than a minute. And he's always quick to remind Danny how wonderful he is, how thoughtful and selfless, and brave and beautiful, and Danny's still getting used to being the center of someone's attention, but he adores it all the same.
29. Who said "I love you" first - Danny said it first. They had been together for some time, Vlad was on one of his weird jealousy stints, going on and on about how much he does for Danny, how much he was trying for Danny, to change, to be better, all for Danny. Being as emotionally constipated as he is, he doesn't recognize his feelings for what they really are and Danny, having grown up with Jazz, was much more well-adjusted. He saw what Vlad was trying to say, saw the way the man got worked up in ways he never had over Maddie, how he paced and ran his hands through his hair and couldn't find the right words because he had never felt real love before. So Danny stopped him, took his face in his hands, looked up into Vlad's eyes, and told him very firmly that "You're a crazy jealous fruitloop, and I love you, too." Needless to say, Vlad had been stunned silent until Danny kissed him and they actually talked about their feelings like proper adults. Jazz was so proud when she found out later.

Omg thank you I have wanted to talk about Handcrafted more literally since I posted it and no one ever asked!! Also thank you for asking Thom/Blake, I am on the rarepair train always and forever. Also on the Caltrain local, so here forever. Under a cut bc I don't trust myself to keep it normal.
Luka/Miro in Handcrafted
49. Does either of them have a hard time being away from the other?
Luka does 😭 their red string of fate will NOT let them be. But also Luka is bored and sad and in love and he misses his team and he thinks Miro doesn't like him. Often when he goes walking, it's just to clear his head and get some fresh air. He knows he'll get trapped, he knows he'll get scared, and he thinks someday Miro WON'T come find him, but he's an athlete and a human, he can't be inside all the time. He just walks out the door every couple of days praying Miro still comes to help him.
Also very fun to write Luka with big emotions that are: anxiety and sadness and so much love. Love that big emotional baby.
1. Who would end a heated argument by defending their actions with ‘because I love you!’ ?
Luka because he has 5000 emotions, the crux of which is: he loves Miro, plain and simple and huge. Miro getting hella steamed abt Luka getting trapped in a warehouse by dogs with too many teeth - why were you in a warehouse Luka? Don't you know you'll get stuck? Why do you do these things? Why do you do this to yourself? Luka lets out a defeated "because I love you and I want to be near you but you don't want me near you." Miro clenches his jaw and thinks about the days when they slept together in an uncomplicated way, fooling around in bedrooms on their off days. But maybe it was always complicated, he thinks, for Luka.
15. Do they always say 'i love you' before leaving?
Luka does bc he's so goofy and pathetic. Every time Miro rescues him and Roope feeds them and Miro sends him home, he stands on Esa's porch and tells Miro he loves him before he goes. It takes Miro a long time to say he loves Luka back and that's in a hypothetical future I'm still puzzling out, but in Handcrafted Dallas, Luka says I love you as much as he can. I love you, he says every time he leaves Miro, because maybe this is the last time he sees Miro. Maybe Miro says it back. Maybe Luka won't be alone this time (he is ☹️)
Thom/Blake in Seasoned Beginner
16. Can they stay up all night just talking?
If their schedules ever matched up...yes ideally, but also not really, because their schedules are opposite. They get like five seconds together during the NHL bye week before pitchers and catchers report in February. They spend three glorious days together in Blake's house in Southern California where Thom meets approximately five billion family members and spends every night post-coital with his face smashed into Blake's chest trying to breathe through the anxiety of how much Blake's family likes each other and how they like him. They think his accent is cute and Blake's mama told Thom that Blake talks about him a LOT. Thom is stressed about what that means. Thom is stressed about many things. Blake holds him close and talks about the off-season signings the Giants have made and what his buddies have been up to, names of men Thom barely knows. He wonders if it's too late to quit hockey and be Blake's full time boyfriend.
44. Who would dance in the kitchen making dinner? Would the other join in or watch from the doorway?
This is so hard to imagine bc they're both huge dorks...I think Blake would be dancing to idk some horrendous EDM while cooking and I think Thom would be helpless with lust. boy can Blake move those hips!! Thom knows like, Quebec folk dances. He doesn't know club dancing. Or like any kind of sexy dancing. Blake ALSO doesn't know any kind of dancing except Samoan dances but at this point Thom is in stupid deep and thinks everything Blake does is cool and sexy. He watches from the doorway until Blake notices and tells him to either kiss him or chop the zucchini.
53. Would they ever go skinny dipping?
Yes!!!!! And they love it!!!! They have a great time. Deep in summer when Blake has his all star break, they rent a house on the river in like....Placerville or Coloma idk and spend a couple of days just floating around the American river and playing on a tire swing and grilling wild amounts of meat and they're down so bad for each other it's kind of funny. And one day when it's later at night and all the tourist rafting companies are done for the day, they go skinny dipping at Thom's suggestion. And gosh how Blake looks in the moonlight in the water 😳 they have amazing sex after that, Thom wanted to do it outside but there were too many bugs lol.

Esme always reminds him of how brave and strong and resilient he is. Not because of what he does for a living, but because he does battle with his brain every day and he keeps going and despite how bad things can be, always is there to love on her and the kids and give them a great life.
Tyler will forever compliment her when it comes to her looks. She struggles badly with her confidence and the fact he gets a lot of female attention, and he's always there to make her feel like the most beautiful, sexy woman in the world. Even after seven kids.
7. Who tries to playfully scare the other? Who always knows where the other person is?
Esme will try, but his instincts are so keen that she doesn't stand a chance. But he is always successful at scaring her. He'll lie in wait around the house with a nerf gun and act like a sniper: shooting her in the ass, in the back of the head. lol
9. When their partner has a bad day, what is something
the other picks up to try and make their day a little
better? Ex - Fast food, flowers, a punny card, ect.
They're both very good at this, but it's Tyler's specialty lol. He will go and get her flowers, her favourite food from her favourite take out place, her favourite cupcakes, a new journal for her to write in.
12. Who presses their nose against their partner's cheek
before kissing them?
Definitely Esme :)
What Small quirks do they love about each other?
So, Tyler's best kept secret is that he keeps an old receiving blanket from Millie's baby days at the bottom of the bed and he can't sleep without covering his feet with it. Esme LOVES that.
When she's concentrating on something or immersed in a book, she'll chew on her bottom lip and twirl a piece of hair. He finds it adorable.
15. What are somethings that they do for one another
because they know their partner hates it? Ex- do
the dishes, phones to make an order, talks to sales
clerk, ECT
Esme handles all social interactions when it comes to school events, extracurriculars, meet ups with other parents. She'll do all the talking. Tyler isn't that comfortable around people he doesn't know and is very much an introvert.
Tyler will clean the windows and the toilets. LOL. She especially hates cleaning the toilets and the boys' bathrooms because some of them have really poor aim

How Gakushuu And Yukiko Would Address Each Other
This is little similar to my last Big Five post, except it's all fanon.
Once, @o0o0thorn0o0o and I were talking about which ship name we prefer for our OTP. Thorn likes Asakanza since that's what the ship was called when she found it. Gakushuu/Yukiko apparently originated on the Indonesian side of the fandom. I dunno how that exactly that ship came to be, but I will forever be grateful it did <3
Anyway, unlike Thorn, I, prefer "gakuyuki" simply because it's so cute and fun to say. It also originated on the Indonesian side, but I've only seen it ever used for one fic.
As for Asakanza, it seemed a lot more proper, probably beacuse their surnames are used while gakuyuki uses their first names.
For that reason, we joked about how "Asakanza" and "Gakuyuki" are like two different relationship stages.
First Stage- Asakanza
Given their strict and proper upbringing, it's only natural that they retain formalities during their early days as a couple. They also don't do PDA, so it doesn't seem like their relationship status has changed at all. Any indication that they're together is subte. They mostly just stand next to each other, maybe they'll flash a smile every now and then.
There's also study dates, but how's that any different from their usual study sessions?
And here Karma was so eager to tease the life out of his rival, prefreably with some embarrassing pictures of him being all lovey-dovey.
Too bad he doesn't have any because Gakushuu is as expressive as a wooden board. Seriously, they've got to be the lamest couple Karma's ever seen!
And you know what? Gakushuu is okay with that. Heck, He'll gladly accept the "World's Most Boring Person" award if it would tick off his arch nemisis so much.
Second Stage- Gakuyuki
After a considerable amount of time together, it's safe to say they're ready to be on first name basis now. Yukiko is the one who suggests the switch because Gaksuhuu would be either too busy to think about it, or too shy to bring it up.
Yup, that's right; Asano Gakushuu is too shy to ask if he can call his girlfriend by her name.
Still, they keep the honorifics for a bit longer, but even after dropping them, things are seemingly no different, much to the dismay of a certain redheaded prankster.
Little did he know, things were different in private. You've got pet names, light teasing, and some affection. It's mostly Yukiko, but Gakushuu later follows suit. The affection thing takes a while for him to get used to, though, even at this stage in their relationship.

what they smell like - this motherfucker is decked out in cologne costing more than your rent on the daily. He's one of the two people world wide who keeps up with perfume trends. He smells almost infuriatingly well

That Time I Finished the Second Semester of Sophomore Year
And wow, there's a lot to cover! There's so much, in fact, that I'm going to have to make three separate posts because I have too many pictures to share!!!
The first four pictures are from my trip to New York to see @celtichufflepuff during spring break. I took the train up to NYC, where she and I spent the afternoon before heading back to the Culinary Institute of America to pick up her boyfriend, Jared, and have dessert at two in the morning. (I spent half an hour ranting about the minute differences between an archlute and a theorbo. Basically, I'd mislabeled an archlute on display at the Met, and I wasn't happy about it. I'm surprised I didn't scare him off right then and there, as this was his first impression of me. *facepalm*)
The next day, Cait and Jared showed me around the campus, and then we went shopping in Hyde Park and drove to the Palisades Center. Then we drove back in a snowstorm while listening to Epic Rap Battles of History.
The rest of the pictures were taken at or near JMU.
Anyway. The pictures!
Top row, left: A view of the New York City skyline from Central Park.
Top row, right: A view of the Hudson River from a bank sitting below the Culinary Institute of America.
Second row, left: Me, standing next to one of the first pianos Cristifori ever made. There are only three Cristifori pianos surviving today, one of which is on display at the Met, and I almost started crying when Cait and I finally found it. Seriously, it took forever to find the instruments gallery.
Second row, right: My real life OTP.
Third row: Remember that piece I posted last night while I was spamming you with music? The one with my name on it? That got performed at JMU, and the picture above is a screenshot of the video that was made.
Fourth row, left: One of the vocalists I accompanied last semester climbed up a tree but had no idea how to climb down.
Fourth row, right: One of the Master's students I'm good friends with, Alan, had his graduation recital last semester. He'll still be in Harrisonburg next semester, though, which I'm really grateful for cause I don't want him to leave.
Fifth row: Yawsameen had an early birthday party, and the attendees formed teams and decorated cakes! Then we video called lots of different people to see which cake won the decorating contest -- my team won!
Left: A beach cake created by Dom and Elizabeth. (This one was Cait's favorite.)
Middle: A very colorful and textured sunburst cake created by yours truly and Gloria, another Master's student. This one was crowned the champion.
Right: A piano cake created by Yawsameen and Annaliese.
There is a reason I have so many more pictures and stories to share this semester. After my seizure in November, I did some serious self-reflection, and one of the things I realized about myself was that too often, I had put school and grades ahead of the people that matter most to me. Not that those things aren't important, but after a while, employers don't care about your grades or your GPA anymore. Relationships, when done right, have the capability to last a lifetime.
So I decided that I had to make time for my friends and cultivate the relationships I've made, both at school and at home. To do that, I had to make an effort to go places when I was worn out from the day. I had to be present when I was with my friends. I had to listen and know when to offer advice and when to keep my mouth shut. I had to be the friend I wanted to have.
And friends, the efforts I made, even when I was tired or upset or thought no one would want my company, returned a much greater reward than I ever could have wished for. I hope the people I love so much have found in me a much better friend than they did at the beginning of last year.
So here's to success, and here's to next year!! I can't wait to see everything God has in store.

five years later, mc has a moment to themselves
"It's getting long." You say, your voice oddly fond as you push your fingers through his hair.
The length is nice on him, you think, like a waterfall of wavy brown cascading down his neck and grazing the bottom of his neck, but you know he prefers it a little shorter, lest it get in the way.
"Yeah," He replies with a sigh, leaning into your touch, the expression on his face reminiscent of a contented cat stretching in the sun. "It’s a pain in the ass.” His crass language makes you huff out a laugh, and the corners of his eyes wrinkle handsomely as he smiles, in a way they didn’t when you first met. “Can you cut it for me later?"
"Mm." You hum with a nod, letting your touch drift from his scalp to cup his face in your hands. His skin is rough with stubble when you drag your thumb down his cheek. Each touch makes him lean into you even more, relishing in your attention.
It's moments like this, you think, moments of quiet and calm that make everything else worth it.
"Ah, your's is too." A small grin comes to his face as he reaches up to stroke through the dark curls that fall down your shoulders and across your collarbone. "It was so short when we first met, you remember? You had a mowhawk and shaved sides, like a little punk rocker or something."
"I remember." You say with a small laugh, matching his smile and reaching back to push a hand into your own hair. Your natural colour (including the unfortunate greys that now streaked your bangs and roots) had grown in completly over five years and it now reached well past your shoulders and down your back. It was the longest you’d ever had your hair, now that you were thinking about it, but it was unbareably thick and unruly most days, so you generally stuck to tying it back in a ponytail most of the time. Your fingers get caught on a snag and it makes you grimace as you pull on it. "Maybe I should cut it again..."
"No, no. Don't cut it." He says, and the soft insistence to his tone makes you look at him again. There's a familiar sparkle in his golden eyes, and his grin has turned teasing, mean and...almost dangerous. "I like it like this."
"Oh. Well, I suppose I'll keep it then." You say in quiet acquiescence, your grin fading into a soft, if somewhat uneasy, smile as your hand drops to your side again.
One of those moments.
They're rare now, but they still happen sometimes.
The moments where he silently reminds you that you belong to him.
