... Their polycule? The whole polycule??? Ooooh boy, prepare for a whole essay. Be careful what you wish for! I'll only touch on the people K'Rala has a direct line to in my polycule overview and exclude the DS9 branch (because I haven't watched DS9) because this is an OC ask game and not one where I ramble about my thoughts on canon ships.

5. How do they treat the other's insecurities?

If there was a headline to this polycule, it would be "Words of Affirmation". You'll see what I mean.

When K'Rala gets insecure about anything about themselves, be it their heterochromia, how emotional they can get or a mistake they made while working, Data is right there to remind them how illogical that is. He'll either expound every detail of why K'Rala is wrong to put themselves down or accidentally say the most romantic thing in the universe or both. And you best believe that whenever Data laments not being human, K'Rala is there with a 50-page powerpoint on just how human he is and how just because he experiences emotions differently that doesn't mean he doesn't have them. Generally, K'Rala is always there for emotional support for Data, in a huge part because they themselves had to learn to understand emotions and still don't fully do but a huge part of how they got as far is talking about emotions with others - which they are now offering to Data. The two of them can talk about emotions in a way that's extremely logical and extremely romantic at the same time, it's amazing to watch.

Will is a flirt and K'Rala is not used at all to being flirted at, so they melt like ice cream at his words. You best believe he will find a way to make K'Rala forget everything they were complaining about in a matter of minutes. He'll praise them into the stars and give them a kiss on top. K'Rala, in turn, is a grounding force. If things ever get stressful and Will starts getting overwhelmed, K'Rala will hold his hand and share some of their Vulcan emotion suppressing abilities to help him get his brain sorted and figure things out. Anxiety is a bitch, K'Rala knows that and they'll do their best to help Will through whatever he's feeling insecure about, using their telepathy and their words. Sometimes, the two of them will also be found jamming out with their instruments in the holodeck to destress.

Deanna and K'Rala in one room, when they're both happy, is free therapy. They have a deep telepathic bond and are pretty much constantly exchanging good vibes. When one of them is feeling bad, the other can almost always tell and will either send an extra boost of good vibes their way or talk them out of it.

Tasha. Now, Tasha isn't as comfortable being vulnerable and might not always be the best at comforting people, but if there's one thing she knows how to deal with, it's panic attacks - which K'Rala sometimes experiences due to sensory overloads caused by their telepathy and generally heightened senses. Tasha will talk them through it and when they inevitably start complaining about how they're "pathetic" for having them in the first place, she'll tell them they're not, encourage them, and make them feel better. The other way around, if Tasha drifts back to her past, K'Rala will be there to pull her back into reality and ease her guilt and worries. Hand-holding. Lots of hand-holding.

Remember the Klingon therapist post? Yeah, that's Worf. He's super supportive, especially when it comes to K'Rala's sensory issues. He calls it their most honorable battle and whenever K'Rala tries to apologize to him for "making him deal with problems that aren't even his", he calls it his most honorable duty to help them in their struggle. The other way around is a bit tougher because Worf and emotions is a difficult combination but once K'Rala finds out what is going on, they will pull an UNO reverse card on Worf and praise him into the heavens about how great and honorable he is and talk the insecurities out of him. Otherwise, they spar to destress.

Favourite thing about them: "Thing", singular? I can't put just one thing! There are too many things! The humour in his dialogue. The songs he sings. The fact that he's both an ex-mafia member and a femme gay man. The fact that he's got a twin sister in Heaven. The changes we see in his character over the course of Season 1. The bond he forms with Husk. The dynamic he has with Charlie (and the others in the hotel). The angst of his relationship with Valentino. The voice. The hair. The eyes. The arms. The chest fluff. The outfits. The dance moves. I just love him so much.

Least favourite thing about them: Well, the way he acted towards Husk initially was, let's face it, sexual harassment. Just because it was a response to trauma doesn't make it okay. I appreciate that Angel doesn't bother Husk like that after "Masquerade" - he still makes sex jokes, but now they're less about targeting people and making them feel uncomfortable - but I still think it would have been good for Angel to explicitly acknowledge that his behaviour wasn't acceptable and apologise to Husk.

Favourite line: (porn voice) "I've been a bad boy, and I need a big strong daddy to put me in my place..." (regular voice) "...on the path to redemption!"

brOTP: I like the friendship he develops with Charlie. The prequel comic "Dirty Healings" shows that she sees potential in him that he doesn't see at first. He initially only joins the hotel for the free rent and to get away from Valentino, but then he comes to genuinely care about Charlie, as she does for him. That's nice to see.

Also, Angel and Emily haven't interacted yet, but I think they would have a cute friendship if they did!

OTP: Huskerdust! I've seen so much cute fanart and read so many hurt/comfort fics of the two together that I can't help but love this ship. I enjoy thinking about them being together and how they could change each other for the better. Having Husk around to take care of Angel would definitely be good for him.

But Angel's trauma isn't going to go away overnight, so that'll be a lot to deal with. And Husk is also pretty judgemental, so if Angel ever has a relapse and Husk treats him too harshly for it, that could put a rift between them. Angst potential!

Everyone talks about how Husk is changing Angel, helping him to be more honest, but I do think Angel is changing Husk too. Husk certainly seems to drink less after "Masquerade". And if Husk was somehow able to help Angel out of his contract, that would be redemption for his own participation in the cruel Overlord system.

Angel and Husk are not perfect people, but they could be perfect for each other.

nOTP: Any ship that involves pairing Angel with a woman. He's gay. He wouldn't be interested.

As for Valangel ... look, I am interested in exploring the backstory - I want to find out how Angel met Valentino and what led to him signing his soul away. But I definitely do not want Angel to stay with that moth. That pairing is way too toxic.

Random headcanon: Both Anthony and Molly had albinism when they were alive, and that's why they're so pale in the afterlife. Anthony also had a visual impairment, so his demon form overcompensated by giving him extra eyes.

Unpopular opinion: Some fans love seeing Angel with all six arms out and six guns blazing, but I'm not so keen on it. That's a personal thing, really - I just don't like guns and don't think they have any reason to exist. All they do is kill people, and killing people is wrong. If Angel's got all six arms out, he should be using them to give Husk a back massage instead.

Song I associate with them: Besides "Poison"? Then "All You Wanna Do" from SIX: The Musical. They're both super-catchy pop songs about the dark topic of sexual abuse sung by characters associated with the colour pink. I watched the Hazbin Hotel pilot for the first time on the same weekend I went to see SIX: The Musical, so that's a neat coincidence!

Merry Christmas (if you celebrate it)...So I just have an interesting discussions with my JJK moots (also fics writers) last night. There are 5 of us and we all have different ships (A = nanami/gojo, B = gojo/yuji, C = gojo/utahime, D = sukuna/yuuji & itadori/fushiguro also an anti gojo, and E (me) = gojo/ geto).

One of the thing that interest me is, when I asked the first three people why they include Getou in their fics. You know what they said? "We can't imagine Gojo without Getou's influence. So we made Getou as the 'memorable and unforgetable ex- lover'. Getou also fit as Gojo's 'one and only best friend'." And when I asked the fourth one, who do you ship Gojo with. They said, " I really dislike Gojo as a character so I can only see Gojo with Getou as the most reasonable ship."

Until now I was still surprised that even among non- SatoSugu shipper and anti Gojo fan, they can't deny the special bond between Gojo and Getou. And that's why they are my otp.... Sorry for this long ask, hope you don't mind....

That does sound like you had an interesting discussion.

Now, personally for me, I do like Gojo as a character and yep, I have my ships for him. First one happen to be Gojo/Nanami, like that was my first Gojo and Nanami ship. Still like it. It's the only other Gojo ship I like. And of course, right now, I'm a fan of Gojo/Geto.

The movie did it for me because ain't no way you recognize someone from his scent of his energy and you haven't seen him in 10+ years or you're going around renaming people with a name that sounds like your "friend's" name while also wearing a clothing piece that has his last name in its name!

For me, I happen to like the characters. I like how they are on their own and if I like the dynamic they have with another character then, yeah, I'd probably ship it romantically and still vibe with it platonically.

(There are some instances I won't though. Not all dynamics strike me as "they would potentially have a romance".)

It's always funny to me when there will be people who are anti-*insert character or ship*, yet can't even deny that ship's special bond between those characters.

I see it a lot for another fandom I'm in for a really popular ship and it will just tickle me to see some anti go "this character isn't gay" but then turn around and go "but their relationship with this character is kinda not normal... but they're not gay". They act like a character has to be strictly gay to actually have romance with another character. Honey, the word "bisexual" exist. "Pansexual" exists. There are so many options for sexualities.

Or even funnier when those characters don't even show interest in the opposite sex like that and/or treat characters of that opposite the same way.

And honestly, I need some people to understand the difference between characters hating each other or just one character truly hates the other (AND IT BE EXPLICIT SOMETIMES) and having just a complicated relationship and not hate each other. Just because two characters are at odds sometimes, it doesn't always mean they hate each other. Especially, if they do things they won't do with anybody else.

Like, let's be real, whatever Gojo and Geto have cannot be compared with other relationships they have with other characters because what the hell?! Platonic or romantic, those two are soulmates!

When they separated from each other, I just... oh my gosh! It started going downhill for Geto when Gojo was assigned to more solo missions and when Geto deflected? Gojo really lost his damn mind! He really out here acting like that! He was so distraught, man made himself bleed!

"My one and only", "My soul knows otherwise..."

And in the dub, Gojo says "My heart and soul"!

Geto literally choking out his own body from beyond the grave because Gojo called out to him.

DECEMBER 24TH!!

It's like with those two... if another character told Gojo "if you can shoot that basketball into the goal, I'll give you a kiss" and then he'll purposely miss. Let Geto say it, he'll show out, shoot the basketball and get it in the basket ten times in a row.

Someone ask Geto "Well, what kind of people are you into", he'll probably go "definitely not you". Gojo ask? Heart eyes and "why are you asking? Are you into me?"

Farscape rewatch: 2x05 The Way We Weren’t

One of the best eps and so wonderfully Aeryn-centric.

If I didn’t love Pilot already. I would have fallen in love with him after this ep. The scene where he says ‘but I so desperately wanted to see the stars’ to justify to himself his prior course of action, really breaks my heart. You know, one of the biggest reasons I wouldn’t try Farscape for years, not until S4 in fact, was the ‘muppets.’ No way could I watch a scifi show with puppets. But that’s the thing. I forget Rygel and Pilot are puppets. They are complicated characters, like the rest and their arcs and their emotional heft is no less than that of human characters.

Another thing that I was thinking about with this ep, is how Farscapian. There are no true innocents here. Not really. Farscapian universe won’t let them be. Anyone who starts out innocent is forced to lose it, sooner or later. Crichton and Pilot are both innocents we see lose it. Pilot’s actions led to the death of the previous Pilot, he compromised to serve Peacekeepers. Crichton started the show out as a wide-eyed idealistic pacifist and look what he became end of S4, strapping a nuclear bomb on himself, offering the Universe to Scorpius for a mere chance to get Aeryn back. Pretty much everyone has some breaking point, some driving obsession that can override morality (I mean, Pilot wanted to fly badly enough he agreed to work for evil, in s4 John promises to give wormholes to Scorpius and thus bring war and destruction to untold innocents, to save Aeryn.)

No one starts out evil, or damaged, or guilty in FS. Even Scorpius, much as I loathe him, we really find out later what made him who he became. But (and that is why I love Farscape), not only does the show stick to “an explanation is not an excuse” belief, but there is always a possibility of grace. Of moving on, damaged and tarnished, and making new happiness and actively trying to find peace and goodness. Aeryn gets a chance to rediscover herself away from the brutality of PKs. She gets a chance to be a full-fledged human being (but also how much do I love that her deadliness does not diminish one bit.) Pilot gets the bond with Moya. Crichton, messed up beyond any recognition by the end, gets a chance at family, peace, and rediscovering innocence through his child.

So much of this ep is about choices and past and that’s another thing I love about the show. It’s not big on ‘fate.’ Aeryn and Crichton is my huge, huge, unrivaled OTP but they are not ‘destined,’ ‘fated,’ or any of that junk. They met at the time there was a possibility and their relationships developed from there. If Crichton did propose to Alex and she accepted and they stayed on Earth, I can see him being happy. He’d never have hit his full potential for feeling (or for suffering) but he would have been a happy guy. And for Aeryn, the moment was right. She loved Velorek but she couldn’t really allow herself to express it or to feel it fully, in PK society. Ironically, it’s her experience with Velorek, combined with her experience with her mother telling her she is special, that was that little push that prompted her to take to Crichton’s words of ‘you can be more’ in the Premiere. It’s actually so interesting to me btw that Aeryn has a type - techie with a core of steel but a soft soul and someone willing to buck all norms for what he thinks is right (Velorek, even Larraq to a degree) and John is basically the apotheosis of the type, but that Aeryn is so far from John’s default type prior to her - blond, easy going, chill.

I really love the scene where he comforts her after she’s had an exercise session and her hands are raw from the punching bag. He just holds her, as she cries. And she cries messily, unprettily, very real.

I love that so consistently, no matter how deadly he gets, he is the soft one in the relationship, the emotionally more open one, the one who wants to talk. She started out as a machine and discovers the beauty of vulnerability and humanity as the show progresses and he starts out as a vulnerable soft sweetheart who has to armor himself to survive - being with him restores to her, oh so gradually, the humanity that he society stole from her but later on having her is what keeps in him the humanity that is being so brutally and thoroughly ripped from him. He restores her soul and she restores him after the universe does its best to destroy that in them. They meet somewhere in the scarred middle and the equality of it is beautiful. (But also, achieving their full potential is riven with loss - John would have never shown all this drive and devotion and capability as a scientist on earth but he would have also not been tortured and driven to madness; Aeryn paid for her soul by loss of everything she knew.)

And that shot of them sitting across the PK symbol from each other, as she quietly tells him about the past, and they are not touching (I love that he knows it’s not the time for cuddling, that she needs her space to collect herself) and it’s so symbolic: that red stripe between them.

One of my favorite quotes occurs there, actually:

It’s just the way they say it. Quiet.

This is a gender reversal in their relationship, isn’t it? She is the one who has problems opening up (Crichton is the only one she allows herself to be vulnerable with and it’s been a long hard process to earn it, for him). He is the one who comforts her, who wants her to talk.

He is the emotional one, the one with the heart like a carpet for her to walk on. She prefers action and it’s hard for her to navigate the emotional landscape. And yet, Crichton is never weak. He is never diminished because of caring, or being the emotional one. I like it.

I also love the attitude everyone has on discovering Aeryn has been aboard Moya before (which looks grey and dull, not the gorgeous colors of now). I love that the show doesn’t shy away either from confronting that no, she did have an ugly past, it’s not just the words, and the fact that ultimately what she is now wins over for her shipmates from what she was then. China is 100% on point when she asks did they all think she did nice things while the rest of Peacekeepers tortured and murdered; this is a question not just for the characters but for the audience - it would be so easy to sweep her past under the rug but the show won’t do so. And so Aeryn did horrible stuff and she has to live with it.

The thing with Velorek, the betrayal. I think the scene with her Mother when she was a child was so crucial for her actions post-Velorek. If she didn’t have that ‘differentness’ implanted, she could have become even more martinet like after Velorek. But instead, it gave her a sliver of an opening…And again. I love the show for going there - for giving Aeryn a horrific betrayal in her past - perpetrated by her to advance her career against a man who loved her and who she loved and who was doing something good - and showing she is not just a victim, she is a perpetrator and that if you live in a monstrous regime, are brainwashed by a monstrous regime, you have no chance but become a monster.

The grace and the hope is that when given a chance to take a new path she does (and it’s even more stark with Crais - who was many more times a monster but even he is shown to be warped by the regime and after enough time on his own he becomes if not good per se, then at least a real human being capable of doing good things.)

To get back to the Velorek thing - it is also such a theme that being good does not guarantee reward or a happy ending. There is no easy grace - Aeryn betrayed a good man, a man she loved (as much out of panic because she felt herself deviating from prescribed path as to get advancement - I don’t think she’d have become “more” even with her capability for it if her choice to return to default was not taken from her until she had some chance to reflect and transform, and that is so realistic, brainwashing and societal conditioning are pervasive) and he was executed and she has to live with it.

And how do I love that so much of this ep is turning defaults on their heads - from reminding us that Aeryn was a perpetrator not a victim but also with Velorek who first seems a peacekeeper psycho and then we realizes keeps his humanity as much as he can in that mad place. It’s like their sex scene where it starts and we assume he will try to rape her and then we watch and realize they are lovers, in love (and Aeryn is as always in charge, heee :P) and it basically screams at us - don’t go for easy defaults, look behind the assumptions.

Btw I love this show for allowing Aeryn romantic agency and history - she loved someone before John even if she was not ready to fully commit. And there is no jealousy in John, just a little wonder and just the fraughtness of discussing love with her.

Also - very true to the whole story that for Aeryn physical is easier than emotional and comes first (as Chiana points out to John in s3 because that girl gets relationships.) She is from a society where sex is easy and meaningless but emotions are terrifying and forbidden so of course. For her to admit that she loved Velorek shows how far she’s come; she’d have never been able to realize it in the peacekeepers (and the story of her mother in s3 shows how even people with capacity for love will eventually have it brutalized out of them so safest not to love, it’s self-preservation.)

Also, we see how far the characters have come from the pilot episode but also how far they have yet to go. Look at Zhaan here and yet less than a season later, she will give her life to bring Aeryn back, not just because of her love for John but because of Aeryn herself. (And also, the show is A+ for calling Zhaan out for hypocrisy but also the continuity was always so good!)

I could go on and on and on forever, but I’ll just mention two little things here. One is, I love the shot when Aeryn and John drop from the ceiling into Pilot’s den in unison. Two? The tag. First time I saw it, it killed me dead. When Aeryn and John are talking and she tells him that he reminded her of Velorek and he asks ‘And you say you loved that man?’ and they stare at each other and away with all the questions and answers they are afraid of saying, in their eyes.

My thoughts on IY ships:

Sesskik: OTP. objectively the best ship. best themes. Go read The Rift Between Auras. It also has the best art and the best fandom.

KogKag: Personal favorite. Love the pure unadulterated passion of it. And theres lots of good content on it. And admittedly….I think it's the sexiest relationship.

InuKag: Wonderful ship, Canon, good, nothing really to say.

MirSan EDIT nope, screw this ship, Inusan is best!: best. It makes sense. I always have some misgivings (Sango deserves better after the shit she’s been through, and Miroku’s antics get unfunny at times, and I like strong women), it sometimes feels a bit disrespectful. But I admit there's a genuine bond; they’re a decent couple. Heck, even the more sexist elements make sense. It’s feudal Japan, literally, the 1500’s even if it’s a fantasy setting. The fact they have 3 kids immediately makes sense. Not bad, but I feel like she deserves better.

EDIT: and it doesn't help that the author basically locked in mirsan from the start with not even the slightest consideration for other possibilities. It's basically a forced ship, for good or bad.

Inusan: UPDATE: I am really starting to like this ship, it suffers from having very little content, but what does exist is intriuging, and its starting grow on me. I would love to see it explored more. Its definitely moved up to one of my top ships.

InuKik: really good ship, it's deep and complex, even in canon, but personally I find it a really good pair with KogKag. Two pairs where everyone is happy!

Sesskagu: a spicy couple, the most common theme being they end up being a sassy couple of assholes, revelling in each other’s evil, but with the undertone of a deeper emotional bond.

Sesskag: I don't like it. one of the more popular ships that I actually have genuine grips with. I can’t get aboard, I don’t like it. They don’t fit well. And I get the feeling that it’s the “sesshomaru fangirl-self-insert ship”. The “badass guy going with the bubbly semi-normal girl.” They don't fit. It almost feels a bit....predatory?

Koh/rin: A really cute relationship, childhood friends.

KagSan: Love their interaction they’re really good friends, and I would love to see more interactions between them. But taking it to the romantic level also is would be great.

Kagkik: would have loved to see more interactions between them, there’s so much chemistry. I like it both as friends and even romantic partners. I just want them both to be happy and get past their angst and issues.

KaguKik: I can definitely see the dynamic, and this one would be 90% romantic. Two lost souls finding a bond with each other.

EDIT: a few extras.

AyaKag: makes no sense, but there's one tumblr Artist that makes really cute art of it. Thumbs up.

InuKog: I can respect it. full disclosure, I'm a guy, so I never was into M/M ships, but I can respect it, probably the most reasonable M/M ship.

Naraku X anymone: nah,, Naraku is "pathetic evil", he's the type that you can't even like for being a "dark badass". He's just an all-around looser, he's literally an Incel. So I don't care for it, but whatever floats your boat.

InuSess: just.....why? And all the content involves some form abuse/rape/nasty stuff.

1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?

So I will lead this answer with the following statement: 99% of the time, I can objectively get why people have the OTP that they do. The logic and reasoning for the ship can be written out for me and I can understand that. It's just that I would have little to no emotional investment in it. In a way, the ships I list are only ships that I don't emotionally get.

With that said...

(puts on a suit of armor)

A necessary precaution for the hornet's nest I'm about to strike.

Black Clover: Dorothy x Nozel. Mereoleona x Yami. Secre x Asta. Jack x Yami. Ichika x Ryuuya. Vanessa x Nozel.

Demon Slayer: Douma x Shinobu. Akaza x Kyoujurou.

Hero Aca: Katsuki x Shouto x Izuku (that whole triangle in any combination).

A:tLA: Zutara. Toph x Satoru (that one dude in the comics with the factory).

Again, I can see where these ships are coming from objectively (like thematically or logic of character bonds). My heart is just apparently made of stone when faced with these OTPs. I'm sorry. And that's where the discussion is ending.

(Also I have a lot more BC ships that I don't get because it's the fandom I'm actually invested in.)

20. What is the purest ship in the fandom?

Lolopechka x Gadjah.

Both in-universe and on a meta fandom level, this ship is very pure.

Gadjah is the loyal guard to the queen who sees Lolo for everything she is: a regal queen, an unsure woman still coming into her own, a clumsy sweetheart, and a soul dedicated to her kingdom and her friends. Lolopechka is the benevolent queen who puts more trust in Gadjah than anyone else, even the other Spirit Guardians. It's clear she thinks highly of him too since his confession got her so worked up. Maybe it's just her being awkward but I'm pretty sure the intended understand is that she's thrown off by the man she loves saying he loves her too.

And in the fandom, I've never encountered anything negative about the ship. Most people support the couple. And even when shipping them (mostly Lolo) with other characters, there's never any dissing of the other character. It's smaller ship with side characters and so that make it easier for the fandom to treat the ship respectfully.

26. Most shippable character?

Finral Roulacase.

Ship him with Yami or Finesse or Vanessa or Gauche (I've heard in passing in once) or Kirsch or just anyone.

My obvious favorite option is Finesse. But one of my mutuals (@/sailor-muno [currently inactive for reasons]) has an oc (Mallory) she ships with Finral and FinMal has a permanent corner of my mind for itself. Legit, I had to shake my hands to get all my jitters out because I got to chance to bring Mallory up! BUT ALSO! Nacht x Finral. I... this pair has something to it that I just need to have. This is a bit of an experiment, but one I'm excited about! I'm opening up three commission slots (or 100K words of commissions, whichever happens first). Is there something specific you want me to write? Read on for details!

What does it cost?

This was such a tricky thing to determine. I've looked around at what other people are charging (for a lot of them it's very little--value your art, people!) and thought through what would make it feel worthwhile to me, and I've settled on $30 per thousand words. The price will be based on the length estimate we agree upon after we've discussed your prompt. I won't change the price if I write extra, but I will reduce it if the story ends up being significantly shorter than estimated.

What will I write?

Hockey RPF is the simplest answer. If you want something else and think I would be a good person to write it, get in touch and we can discuss.

If you're commissioning me, chances are you know the shape of stories I like to write. If it's something really far afield from that--e.g. something really dark, or with an unhappy ending, or a non-hockey setting I don't know anything about, or a story that doesn't focus on romance at all--I'm less likely to say yes to the project, but there's only one way to find out!

Sonic 06 was like

It's like a

A reverse fairytale or something

Sonic is a hero rescuing the princess from the likes of boss battles named after mythical beasts like Egg Cerberus and Egg Wyvern, and in the end, SONIC is the one saved by the PRINCESS.

Elise was using chaos energy to help bring him back to the land of the living, and y'all had to go and make this gross somehow by saying she was kissing a dead animal or whatever, as if it would have been any better of a situation if any other of your preferred OTP compliant characters were in her place here.

Sonic was basically Sleeping Beauty or Snow White here and Elise was the royalty that woke him up, it's a spin on the classic fairytale setting, and y'all still ain't seing that yet even though it's been 16 years now.

Instead of the hero saving the princess in the end, it's the princess saving the hero.

Elise was having to attend a festival as part of her royal duty, that was celebrating a deity that her dad died trying to clone to harness time so they could see her dead mom again, and she was left an orphan at age 7 and had to take on the royal responsibilities at that age and couldn't feel intense emotions or the seal that was keeping that monster at bay that killed her dad was going to be let loose like some Naruto level logic and destroy the whole city, and this girl was probably just wanted to go back to her room so she didn't have to think about how she probably wasn't ever allowed to grieve for her dead parents because I'm sure the festival was probably not fun for her in reality, then this crazy guy with this big mustache shows up to blow up things and wants to kidnap her for the Chaos Emerald she has ((which, mind you, was given to her via some time trickery by Silver as a "lucky charm" shortly after her dad was killed in the lab accident)), and suddenly this cool carefree guy shows up, whisks her away to safety and does so without asking for anything in return just because he wanted to help her, so of course she gets a fleeting crush on the guy because she's a freaking teenage girl who's hasn't had a chance to sort her emotions before, and yes, she does confirm that before Sonic showed up, she never got to be "myself, a girl" before, so her level of "attraction" to him is purely parasocial at this point and she works out of it by the end when she realizes that she's being selfish for wanting to hold onto the ruined timeline because otherwise would mean they would have never met and this whole adventure was going to be forgotten, but then the game ending and ending theme suggests that the memories still exists in thier hearts and that perhaps that moment they lock eyes at the end for the briefest seconds was thier souls remembering that they were friends in another time, and also, Elise like died in at least three of the timeline offshoots trying to defy Eggman's plan for the greater good, so cut the girl some slack, she's like 17 and a kid, and just let her peck Sonic for a moment as a gesture of the importance of thier bond while trying to call his spirit back to his soulless husk of a body.

Time is literally collapsing on itself because Solaris is eating that up like a Sega GameGear with a fresh pack of AA batteries. They're all gonna disappear into the void if Sonic doesn't wake up, just let her have this, it's covered by blinding light anyway.

Like geeze, sorry it wasn't Shadow or Amy doing this or whatever, I guess.

Mario/Peach

Yes, yes-yes-yes!! Especially in the "Paper Mario" series games and "Mario RPG"! It's the classical hero/princess done right, Mario is always so respectful and sweet towards Peach, never expecting anything from her while Peach is always so graceful and looking at him with such a loving gaze aaaaaAAAaaaWWww!! SWEETNESS OVERDOSE!! And in games where we get them to team up 👍👍👍 Love their energy and bond, it's both sweet and fun to see!

Bowser/Peach

Excellent fanfic material - depends on which games - and I love it! Beauty and the Beast vibes always work for me 😂 They could have a "opposites attract" dynamic, which is always interesting and fun to read/see. As long as Mario doesn't get heartbroken or bashed, I'm all for it!! One-sided, complicated relationship, star-crossed lovers or happy ending, I love all of them for this pairing!

Zelda/Link

Another childhood OTP, especially after "Ocarina of Time". The whole reincarnation and sort of "soul sisters" is also a good touch for me. It depends on the games though, there are some in which the two don't interact much and Link got to bond with another endearing character, but Zelink still holds a special place in my heart. So far, my favourite versions of Zelink are: Ocarina of Time (+ Majora's Mask, that flashback!!), Wind Waker, Skyward Sword and A Link to the Past BotW is good too, it's just that I didn't get to play it yet 🤣 , only watched some bits here and here and from what I saw, they are adorable there too <3

Zelda/Ganon(dorf)

I am a big fan of @figmentforms comic and I really like the potential of this pairing! Not as much as with Peach/Bowser, but I am fascinated with the concept of them being eternally (or not?) star-crossed lovers because of the cycle/spirits or Gods they are the reincarnation of getting in the way. I'd love to see Ganondorf breaking from Demise's hatred and living his own life someday, let Ganondorf be part of the team!! 😭
